Partner selection is a key step to organize a well-designed virtual enterprise in which collaboration cost between partners is considered to be one of the most important performance indicators that influence the run-time efficiency of virtual enterprise. However, in current solutions there is usually a lack of precise and comprehensive considerations on the collaborations, which makes the selection results not optimal enough. The paper elaborately analyses various collaboration patterns between distributed partners with the corresponding evaluation metrics for collaboration time and cost. A genetic algorithm solution for collaboration cost optimization-oriented partner selection is then developed. The performance of this algorithm is demonstrated by a case, and the results of this trial demonstrate the real life capability of the algorithm. 相似文献

The concepts of an MSE Moderator have previously been considered in environments with shared information models and vocabularies. These concepts are now translated to the realm of extended enterprises, where inevitably, individual partners will have their own terminology and information sources. The selection of cooperative partners is one of the most important factors when creating a virtual enterprise, and has been extensively researched in recent years. It is difficult to solve the selection problem using the traditional optimisation methods because the simultaneous consideration of many aspects of the problem is required, such as the running cost, the reaction time and the running risk. In this paper, an adaptive quantum swarm evolutionary algorithm with time-varying acceleration coefficients is proposed for the partner selection optimisation problem. With the fast development of the world economy, distributed virtual manufacturing is becoming increasingly important since it can respond rapidly to market changes and make resource sharing more efficient among manufacturing partners. In this environment, partners may be located at different geographical locations, and co-operation among partners is a vital task and thus concurrent planning and scheduling has become a challenging research topic. This paper presents a computerized model that can integrate these manufacturing functions and resolve some of the critical problems in distributed virtual manufacturing, such as virtual cooperation, optimal partner selection, etc. This integration model is realized through a multi-agent approach that provides a practical approach for software integration in a distributed environment. A cost function is proposed and adopted for optimal partner selection in a virtual enterprise, which not only considers a partner's manufacturing capability and process requirements, but also the processing time, partner's location and product due date. Through establishing a virtual manufacturing model in a simulated environment, the proposal was validated with a case study. It shows that the proposed methodology can satisfy the distribution and agility requirements. This approach is able to contribute to the reduction of product cost, improving product quality and shortening lead time, compared to the sequential approach in the normal engineering and production practice. 相似文献

A single company cannot survive in today's global business environment without collaborating with others. A virtual enterprise is good practice for sharing core resources, experiences and information between companies with the same business goal. Through sharing product information, a company can prevent unnecessary spending in developing similar products that already exist. Although some attempts have been made to facilitate product searches, these methods are typically not suitable for structural product searches under virtual enterprise environments. In this work, an XML (eXtensible Markup Language) based structural product retrieval system for virtual enterprises is proposed to conquer this deficiency. A structural product is first transformed into component strings using a structure parsing algorithm. The structural similarity measurement between a product query and target product is designated and evaluated using a component matching algorithm and fuzzy mode composition. XML technology is used as the data exchange standard so that variant product information can be exchanged smoothly among heterogeneous database platforms. A comparison with a general Boolean search approach shows that the proposed structural search method can help users find desired product information more quickly and correctly.
