In general, on-line medical consultation reduces time required for medical consultation and induces improvement in the quality and efficiency of healthcare services. The scope of study includes several key features of present day e-health applications such as X-ray, ECG, video, diagnosis images and other common applications. Moreover, the provision of Quality of Service (QoS) in terms of specific medical care services in e-health, the priority set for e-health services and the support of QoS in wireless networks and techniques or methods aimed at IEEE 802.11 to secure the provision of QoS has been assessed as well. In e-health, medical services in remote places which include rustic healthcare centres, ships, ambulances and home healthcare services can be supported through the applications of e-health services such as medical databases, electronic health data and the transferring of text, video, sound and images. Given this, a proposal has been made for a multiple service wireless networking with multiple sets of priorities. In relation to the terms of an acceptable QoS level by the customers of e-health services, prioritization is an important criterion in a multi-traffic network. The requirement for QoS in medical networking of wireless broadband has paved the way for bandwidth prerequisites and the live transmission or real-time medical applications. The proposed wireless network is capable of handling medical applications for both normal and life-threatening conditions as characterized by the level of emergencies. In addition, the allocation of bandwidth and the system that controls admittance designed based on IEEE 802.16 especially for e-health services or wireless telemedicine will be discussed in this study. It has been concluded that under busy traffic conditions, the proposed architecture can used as a feasible and reliable infrastructure network for telemedicine.  相似文献

针对设施农业气象信息发布及时性差,覆盖面小等问题,提出了一种设施农业气象信息采集与发布系统的设计。将短距离无线通信技术ZigBee引入到系统中,实现对温室内部实时气象信息的采集并通过GPRS网络发送至信息发布中心,信息发布中心结合各类气象服务信息与气象灾害预警信息集中处理后有序对外发布。实践证明,该系统功耗低、时延短、性能稳定,在设施农业气象信息发布与气象灾害预警方面有显著优势。  相似文献

Video streaming is considered as one of the best compelling sources of information for several applications ranging from vehicular technology, security systems, biomedical systems to aerospace applications. Video streaming using wireless network is quite challenging and a lot of research is in progress. In this paper, design and development of a low-cost real-time wireless video streaming mote is proposed which is an outcome of a funded project. Three different variants of the proposed system are designed, tested and their performances are evaluated. The first prototype uses an Arduino YUN board, second prototype uses a Raspberry PI board and the third prototype uses an Arducam ESP8266 Uno Module. The proposed wireless video streaming mote is aimed at moving around an area under surveillance, gathering images and transferring the same to control station. The proposed system has potential applications including assistance to vehicle drivers during reversing, parking, autonomous driving of the vehicles, driving vehicles using mobile application etc. The proposed system designed has a myriad of real-time applications for domestic requirements with social cause too.  相似文献

以移动视频监控为出发点,结合音视频编解码技术、GPS卫星定位、3G无线网络传输等技术,实现对长途客车的实时定位和视频监控。利用无线摄像机、拾音器等车载前端设备进行音视频信息采集,存储在本地磁盘或通过无线网络上传。客车配备自动报警装置,以便报警信息及抓取的图像能够上传至监控中心及时处理。利用集成了语音模块的车载显示屏,实现行车安全提醒。通过内置GPS模块的车载主机,有效节约3G流量。  相似文献

为了加强客运服务中心对长途车辆在客运过程的监管,提出了基于ARMLinux的3G无线车载视频监控系统。该系统基于ARMLinux嵌入式系统与ARM处理器,通过USB摄像头采集车内视频数据,由GPS定位模块获取车辆的位置数据,然后将采集的数据经过H.264压缩成适合网络传输的形式。最终通过3G无线发射模块经过具有宽带传输能力的3G移动通信网络传输给监控服务中心,监控服务中心可以看到车内清晰流畅的视频画面以及车辆所在位置。  相似文献

Real time video transmission in wireless environment considers various parameters of wireless channel like information rate, error resiliency, security, end-to-end latency, quality of service etc. The available internet protocols are transmission control protocol and user datagram protocol (UDP). But most of the real-time applications uses UDP as their transport protocol. UDP is a fast protocol suitable for delay sensitive applications like video and audio transmission as it does not provide flow control or error recovery and does not require connection management. Due to the tremendous growth in wired and wireless real-time applications, some improvements should be made in the existing systems or protocols. Various techniques to improve end-to-end performance of system for real time video transmission over wireless channel are available in literature. Authors claim that the solution suggested in the paper provide more reliability in wireless video transmission. In the proposed solution, adaptive redundant packets are added in every block (or datagram) transmitted in order to achieve a desired recovery rate at the receiver. The suggested method dose not use any retransmission mechanism. The network simulator NS-2 is used to evaluate the method and the simulation results indicate that the proposed method can guarantee satisfied end-to-end performance by increased packet delivery ratio, reduced end-to-end delay and hence increased network throughput for video transmission in wireless network.  相似文献

首先介绍了无线车辆管理调度系统中所涉及的无线通信、定位、嵌入式系统等技术,在此基础上提出了无线车辆管理调度系统的设计方案,并实现了系统的硬软件。该系统的车载终端在车辆行驶过程中可以实时地获得准确的定位和时间信息,并选择通过WLAN(无线局域网)和GPRS(通用分组无线电业务)两种方式与管理调度中心交互,实现管理调度中心对车辆实时信息的掌握并随时进行调度。  相似文献

This paper demonstrates the design and implementation of a real-time wireless physiological monitoring system for nursing centers, whose function is to monitor online the physiological status of aged patients via wireless communication channel and wired local area network. The collected data, such as body temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate, can then be stored in the computer of a network management center to facilitate the medical staff in a nursing center to monitor in real time or analyze in batch mode the physiological changes of the patients under observation. Our proposed system is bidirectional, has low power consumption, is cost effective, is modular designed, has the capability of operating independently, and can be used to improve the service quality and reduce the workload of the staff in a nursing center.  相似文献

3D video for tele-medicine applications is gradually gaining momentum since the 3D technology can provide precise location information. However, the weak link for 3D video streaming is the necessary wireless link of the communication system. Neglecting the wireless impairments can severely degrade the performance of 3D video streaming that communicates complex critical medical data. In this paper, we propose systematic methodology for ensuring high performance of the 3D medical video streaming system. First, we present a recursive end-to-end distortion estimation approach for MVC (multiview video coding)-based 3D video streaming over error-prone networks by considering the 3D inter-view prediction. Then, based on the previous model, we develop a cross-layer optimization scheme that considers the LTE wireless physical layer (PHY). In this optimization, the authentication requirements of 3D medical video are also taken into account. The proposed cross-layer optimization approach jointly controls and manages the authentication, video coding quantization of 3D video, and the modulation and channel coding scheme (MCS) of the LTE wireless PHY to minimize the end-to-end video distortion. Experimental results show that the proposed approach can provide superior 3D medical video streaming performance in terms of peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) when compared to state-of-the-art approaches that include joint source-channel optimized streaming with multi-path hash-chaining based-authentication, and also conventional video streaming with single path hash-chaining-based authentication.  相似文献

系统主要实现车载系统的实时监测功能。采用STC12LE5A60S2单片机作为控制核心,通过CAN总线与其它现场设备通信,通过新月HC12 GPS模块采集地理位置等信息,以BENQ M23建立的GPRS网络作为无线传输媒介,实现实时的车载监测系统。该系统通过CAN总线接收其它模块传输过来现场数据,并与GPS定位信息结合在一起形成一帧数据,通过GPRS无线网络将数据上传至监控中心。与其他的无线监控系统相比,该系统利用移动通信卫星和基站的大覆盖面积的优势,功能更强,能够进行语音、文字、图像等信息交互,而且节省了建立数据链所需的昂贵支出,应用前景广泛。  相似文献

视频信息传输对救灾、应急通信和特殊区域监控有着重要意义,网络的适应性和带宽问题是限制视频监控系统发展的重要因素.无线Mesh网络具有带宽高、易组网等优点,能够提供实时的视频传输服务.首先完成对基于Mesh网络的视频监控系统整体架构设计,通过实验仿真的方法对比几种常用的Mesh网络路由协议性能,根据仿真结果和应用需求,选择AODV作为路由协议方案.然后在DM365硬件平台和嵌入式Linux操作系统平台之上完成视频传感器节点设计.最后对无线Mesh网络多跳带宽性能进行测试,测试结果表明系统可以满足应用需求.  相似文献

In recent years there has been an explosive growth on the use of wireless video communications. Despite much research in this field, the deployment of effective QoS-aware real-time video services over wireless channels remains a challenging task. In this paper, we first introduce and describe an overall system architecture capable of offering true end-to-end QoS guarantees to MPEG-4 video services running over TDMA/TDD wireless networks. The proposed system architecture is built by integrating two key system elements: a set of control mechanisms and various error resilient techniques. After reviewing the various system elements, we evaluate the use of the various mechanisms. We show the effectiveness of the proposed architecture in terms of various metrics. Our results show that the video quality as perceived by the end user can be significantly improved by making use of hierarchical video coding techniques.  相似文献

The design of an efficient mobile healthcare system using 3.5G and 4G wireless networks is a challenging problem especially for bandwidth demanding telemedical applications. In this paper, we focus on the concept of medical Quality of Service (m-QoS) applied to a typical bandwidth demanding m-health application. Based on this concept, we propose a novel multiobjective rate-control mechanism for the optimized delivery of diagnostically acceptable ultrasound video images over 3.5G wireless networks. The performance of the proposed algorithm has been evaluated via both simulations and experimental studies. The proposed optimal rate control algorithm achieved performance improvements that are compatible with the medical QoS requirements.  相似文献
