本文提出两个矩形截面互连线单位长度电阻随频率变化的计算公式。利用数值方法计算得到频率变化时矩形截面互连线单位长度的电阻值,根据数值计算结果,使用麦夸特方法首先得到计算矩形截面单根导线电阻的简单公式,该公式可广泛用于分析片上电源网格IR-drop问题。与其它公式相比,该公式在宽频率、大宽长比范围内均有较高精度。另外,本文还得到类似微带的互连线(互连线加上地线)电阻计算公式,该结构是分析片上或封装系统功率传输问题的典型结构。  相似文献

The nonuniform discretization of the integral equation on the tangential electromagnetic (EM) field on the boundary surface is proposed as a numerically efficient method to analyze the microstrip-like transmission lines. The calculated results of the propagation constant of the microstrip line based on this method are compared with other published analytical results. Various types of planar striplines are treated by the same formulas. The dominant and higher order modes of shielded microstrip line are discussed and compared with the longitudinal-section electric (LSE) and linear synchronous motor (LSM) modes of a two-medium waveguide.  相似文献

A review is given of characteristic-impedance formulas for shielded-strip transmission lines. From these formulas a set of approximate relationships for the attenuation and Q of a dielectric-filled shielded-strip transmission line is derived. The method makes the standard assumption that the current distribution is that of a lossless line and the surface resistivity that of an infinite-plane condutor. Although this method applies accurately to most other types of lines, in this case an error of the order of 10% is believed to occur due to the failure of the assumptions at the corners of the strip. However, the error is in a direction that makes the computed values conservative, and the accuracy should be sufficient for most practical purposes. The derivation of a correction term is now being attempted. In addition to the discussion of attenuation attention is given in this paper to the design considerations involved in a shielded-strip-line impedance meter, and to some preliminary data obtained with this device. Also the future topics for investigation under this research and development program are mentioned.  相似文献

In this paper, closed-form expressions are presented which model the frequency-dependent even- and odd-mode characteristics of parallel coupled microstrip lines with hitherto unattained accuracy and range of validity. They include the effective dielectric constants, the characteristic impedances using the power-current formulation, as well as the open-end equivalent lengths for the two fundamental modes on coupled microstrip. The formulas are accurate into the millimeter-wave region. They are based on an extensive set of accurate numerical data which were generated by a rigorous spectral-domain hybrid-mode approach and are believed to represent a substantial improvement compared to the state-of-the-art and with respect to the computer-aided design of coupled microstrip filters, directional couplers, and related components.  相似文献

An effective method for computing the time-domain response of lossless multiconductor transmission lines with branches in cross-sectionally inhomogeneous dielectric media is presented. Lines of this type are characterized by multiple propagation modes having different velocities. The theory of wave propagation on lossless multiconductor transmission lines with inhomogeneous dielectrics is used to obtain the modal amplitudes on the uniform sections of the line. The scattering matrix for the junction is used to compute the transmitted and reflected waves in the different branches at the junction. Each mode arriving at the junction excites multiple modes in all branches. The method described in this paper identifies all propagation modes in all branches of the line, and leads to the direct physical interpretation of the results. The method is general and can be applied to either partially or completely nondegenerate cases. Experimental results for a six-conductor transmission line with a single branch are found to be in good agreement with the results computed using the described method.  相似文献

利用积分方法分析了主扰回路对失配被扰回路的耦合效应,得到了计算被扰回路耦合电压的一般公式,将积分方法的使用范围拓展到了高频范围,并用经典的耦合干扰分析方法进行了验证,得出Klewe理论和Jarvis模型得到的结果是此一般公式的特例.该公式在低频和高频条件下均适用,并能将传输线的反射,损耗,相移和平行长度不相等都考虑在内.  相似文献

A general method has been developed to evaluate the propagation constant in oversized circular hollow-core waveguides characterized by a surface impedance and admittance due to a uniform bend. Completely different formulas are obtained for the attenuation constants of the modes in metallic or dielectric hollow waveguides from those obtained by Marcatili and Schmeltzer. Electric-field lines are also presented for several lower order modes in bent waveguides.  相似文献

Applications of high-power Terahertz (THz) sources require low-loss transmission lines to minimize loss, prevent overheating and preserve the purity of the transmission mode. Concepts for THz transmission lines are reviewed with special emphasis on overmoded, metallic, corrugated transmission lines. Using the fundamental HE11 mode, these transmission lines have been successfully implemented with very low-loss at high average power levels on plasma heating experiments and THz dynamic nuclear polarization (DNP) nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) experiments. Loss in these lines occurs directly, due to ohmic loss in the fundamental mode, and indirectly, due to mode conversion into high order modes whose ohmic loss increases as the square of the mode index. An analytic expression is derived for ohmic loss in the modes of a corrugated, metallic waveguide, including loss on both the waveguide inner surfaces and grooves. Simulations of loss with the numerical code HFSS are in good agreement with the analytic expression. Experimental tests were conducted to determine the loss of the HE11 mode in a 19 mm diameter, helically-tapped, three meter long brass waveguide with a design frequency of 330 GHz. The measured loss at 250 GHz was 0.029 ± 0.009 dB/m using a vector network analyzer approach and 0.047 ± 0.01 dB/m using a radiometer. The experimental results are in reasonable agreement with theory. These values of loss, amounting to about 1% or less per meter, are acceptable for the DNP NMR application. Loss in a practical transmission line may be much higher than the loss calculated for the HE11 mode due to mode conversion to higher order modes caused by waveguide imperfections or miter bends.  相似文献

This paper presents a unified analytical approach to solve a class of shielded strip and shielded microstrip-like transmission lines with multilayer dielectrics under TEM-wave approximation. The analysis makes use of the variational technique in the space domain combined with the "transverse transmission line" method. Expressions are derived for the capacitance of a single line, coupled two-line and coupled four-line structures. The same formulas can be used for a class of such structures by the substitution of a single parameter, namely, the admittance at the charge plane, which can be obtained using the standard transmission line formulas. Numerical results of two special structures, namely, the broadside-coupled suspended microstrip lines, and broadside-coupled inverted microstrip lines, using two suspended, dielectric substrates are included. The technique presented is the simplest compared to any other analytical procedures reported in the literature.  相似文献
