MG动画是新媒体时代动画产业的重要形式,其独特新颖的视听感受使其具有较广的应用领域和良好的市场前景,符合高职动画专业的转型需求。MG动画包涵了图形和动态两个概念,动态制作图形是完成一部优秀的MG动画至关重要的步骤。笔者结合教学中的动画案例,针对图形的动态设计理念和制作技巧来研究和探索MG动画的制作难点。     

3D图形卡

虽然在2004年初．我们曾经十分看好重新进入3D图形卡市场的S3和刚刚改组完毕的XGI对中低端显卡市场产生的冲击,但令人失望的是这两家公司的产品在市场上仍然十分少见。起着主导作用的,依然是AT和nVidia这两大巨头。进入2005年．这一状况仍日不会改变,它们推出的新产品和新技术将继续决定着3D图形领域的发展方向。     

Interference in Computer Graphics

The interference of superposed families of curves is considered, for various types of superposition available through computer graphics. It is shown that the use of interference of this type for illustration and experimentation in hydrodynamics, optics, and in certain other situations, is rather limited. To use the technique of superposition most effectively in these areas it is found to be necessary to eliminate the interference, and to use cine techniques.

To reinforce the growth of computer graphics, hardware architectures must be developed to support the rapid growth in display resolution that will occur in the next few years. The architectures must allow a high degree of application independence without requiring significant changes in the overhead software interface. The hardware architecture must be expandable, again avoiding significant software changes. Finally, the architecture must be implemented in VLSI for reasons of cost and speed. This article will describe a graphics hardware architecture that meets these criteria.     

Graphics in computational paleontology

It makes sense that humans-with their forward-facing eyes-would understand the patterns of the world through sight rather than sound. The form of creatures long past, their evolution and growth, even the development of our own form as we grow in life are mysteries to us today. But, buried in the past are keys to unlocking our understanding of form. We may still use tools such as picks and shovels to uncover them, but today paleontologists are also using computers and graphics to dig into the past. Sometimes the discovery of something new helps us unlock mysteries of the distant past, and sometimes discovering something about the distant past unlocks a mystery of today     

Graphics in Reservoir Simulation

Reservoir Simulation is used to manage underground oil reservoirs, and the potential cost savings associated with increased oil recovery are enormous. Because of the mathematical complexity of simulation it is necessary to use graphics to view the results. Graphics programs in this environment must be easy to use, and capable of producing images on a variety of machines and graphical devices. The paper looks at some of the problems involved.
