Electrical power grid is undergoing a major renovation, to meet the power quality and power availability demands of the 21st century. The new power grid, which is also called as the smart grid, aims to integrate the recent technological advancements in the Information and Communication Technology (ICT) field to the power engineering field. The present smart grid implementations focus on smart meter based utility-to-meter and utility-to-customer communications. Although these features provide significant improvements on the customer management side, in the following decades, grid management will be one of the major ICT-dominant fields. Recently, adoption of Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) for the power grid is gaining wide attention from the industry and the academia. Scalar sensor measurements bring valuable insights, however they can provide limited set of information. In the next generation power grid, limited-sensing, Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) based, centrally controlled operational architecture will be replaced with wireless connected, low-cost, multimedia sensors combined with distributed decision-making and acting systems, working in coordination with a supervisory software tool. In this paper, we discuss the potential applications and the challenges of employing wireless multimedia sensor and actor network (WMSAN) for the smart grid. 相似文献

The smart grid is an electronically controlled electrical grid that connects power generation, transmission, distribution, and consumers using information communication technologies. One of the key characteristics of the smart grid is its support for bi-directional information flow between the consumer of electricity and the utility provider. This two-way interaction allows electricity to be generated in real-time based on consumers’ demands and power requests. As a result, consumer privacy becomes an important concern when collecting energy usage data with the deployment and adoption of smart grid technologies. To protect such sensitive information it is imperative that privacy protection mechanisms be used to protect the privacy of smart grid users. We present an analysis of recently proposed smart grid privacy solutions and identify their strengths and weaknesses in terms of their implementation complexity, efficiency, robustness, and simplicity. 相似文献

伴随着智能电网系统的升级换代,电网规模日趋庞大,电网结构愈加复杂,智能电网的故障诊断与继电保护技术越发显得重要。当大规模智能电网系统发生复杂或多重故障时,仅靠单个系统信息和单一诊断手段很难解决故障诊断问题。文中针对大规模智能电网的故障诊断技术,引入了人工智能领域中具有分布式智能特性的多智能体系统模型,通过分模块故障特征信息捕捉机制及区域智能体并行诊断和全局智能体总体诊断的分单元协调诊断机制,在全局信息基础上实现智能电网的故障诊断。仿真测试案例表明,基于多智能体系统的故障诊断技术有效而可靠,并且具有较好的实时监测应用价值。 相似文献

Smart grid technology has attracted a lot of attention in the communication and power engineering communities because of its high efficiency and environmental friendly power production and delivery. Smart grid communication networks act as not only a bridge between the end power users and the utility but also a backbone of the entire smart grid system. It is a challenging task to deploy smart grid communication networks because of interference‐intensive environment. The goal of this paper is to explore various issues on deployment of smart grid communication networks. The first half of this paper provides a survey on smart grid communication networks. The background of smart grid communication networks is introduced, and the IEEE 802.15.4g standard for smart utility networks is reviewed. In addition, the issues on network topology and routing protocols of smart utility networks are addressed, followed by the discussions on optimizing gateway deployment. Various methods for addressing coexistence issues in smart grid communication networks are presented. The second half of this paper is to propose a channel discovery algorithm exploiting the inherent CSMA/CA mechanism in the protocols. Because of the use of CSMA/CA mechanism and up‐to‐date channel status table, the proposed algorithm can quickly find an available channel for transmission when interferences occur. Unlike the existing electric grid, the smart grid has a variety of functions that enable electric utility suppliers and consumers to perform dual exchanges of real-time information by adding IT technology. Therefore, the systems of smart grid suppliers and those of users are always connected through a network, which means that the systems related to the smart grid could become targets of malicious attackers. The various smart grid systems could have different hardware configuration from those of general systems, but their fundamental operating mechanism is the same as that of the general computer system. When a system is operating, its information and the data used by a program are loaded into the system’s memory. In this paper, we studied the method of physical memory collection and analysis in smart grid embedded systems in order to help investigate crimes related to smart grids. In addition, we verify the method studied in this paper through the collection and analysis of physical memory in the virtual Linux environment using a virtual machine. 相似文献

物联网应用于智能电网是信息通信技术发展到一定阶段的必然结果,利用物联网技术将能有效整合电力系统基础设施资源,提高电力系统信息化水平,改善现有电力系统基础设施的利用效率。本文针对物联网技术和我国智能电网建设规划,研究面向智能电网应用的物联网网络架构及关键技术,总结了技术特点。在阐明网络架构的基础上,进一步针对智能电网应用中海量设备终端和海量采集信息的特点,详细论述物联网信息聚合技术,分析信息聚合技术带来的网络收益,提出信息聚合技术基本功能框架及实现方式。物联网信息聚合技术在采集原始数据的同时进行大量的信息处理和计算,从海量的、杂乱无章、难以理解的原始数据中抽取并推导出对于智能电网一体化管理平台具有特定意义和判决参考价值的数据,并且能够降低网络数据传输总量、减少网络拥塞发生、提高网络性能,是物联网发展的重要技术方向之一。本文针对智能电网目前相对薄弱的配用电环节提出配变电设备监测物联网的主要功能与信息聚合方案。 相似文献
