Abstract

Most of the expert systems applied in vegetal pathology treat the problem of selecting treatment in a conventional manner, by means of production rules that associate to each pathology the most adequate chemical product. This makes it difficult to generate useful explanations. In order to generate satisfactory explanations the knowledge of the system must be based on the strategies used by human experts. This article introduces our approach for the identification and representation of strategic knowledge in an expert system for plague control in greenhouses. We present an introduction to the application domain and make an analysis of the strategic knowledge implied. We distinguish between the underlying strategy and the practical strategy used by the expert for the solution of the problem. From this we propose a preliminary architecture based on strategic reasoning agents.  相似文献

An expert system for passive network synthesis and filter design, developed in an object-oriented environment, is presented. It has been implemented using a shell written in the language SMALL2ALK/V and is highly interactive. It has been conceived and developed mainly for educational purposes, and its implementation has demonstrated the suitability of the object-oriented approach and of the SMALLTALK environment for this kind of problem.  相似文献

The long-term health care of patients suffering from chronic obstructive lung disease or high-risk persons entails time-consuming medical measures taken on the occasion of frequent return visits. It is tedious for the physician to execute this health-care program in a conventional manner. An expert system could effectively assist him in performing this challenging task. This article describes the technical concept of an expert system for this purpose based on the medical foundations outlined in a companion article (Jahn, 1990). The known expert systems for pulmonary diseases cannot sufficiently support the physician involved in this type of health care, since they are, among other things, limited to a “snapshot” approach to patient assessment. In contrast, the expert system now being developed handles temporal changes, gives advice on scheduling appropriate time intervals for return visits, and compares the actual response to therapy with the expected response.  相似文献

Gold mining projects are a rare opportunity in the minerals industry. They require relatively small capital and give high profitability and fast return on investment compared with other mineral projects. To expand or maintain gold production, continuous development of new deposits and fast implementation of new mining sites are needed. Process design is one of the major issues. As simple and easily extractable ores are almost all exhausted, there is a need for a consistent approach to deal with increasing complexity and decreasing or stagnant gold prices. Process design must consider ore genesis, mineralogical characteristics, ore behavior in available metallurgical processes, linkage with the mining method, environmental impact, and economic issues. The type of work and environment involved makes this application ideal for using AI tools such as expert systems, fuzzy logic, and neural networks. This paper presents Intelligold, an expert system for project development teams to use at the preliminary evaluation and conceptual project stages. Information and knowledge from geology mineralogy, processing, and economics are organized, and recommendations on process options and estimated costs and revenue are given. The "knowledge-building" method is described, together with implementation and verification. Success in building this system suggests application to other ores such as copper and complex base metals.  相似文献

Abstract

The paper suggests a new inference mechanism based on iterative use of the Bayesian inference scheme. The procedure iteratively computes optimal component weights of a distribution mixture from a class called generalized knowledge base. It is proved that the iterative process converges to a unique limit whereby the resulting probability distribution can be defined as the information-divergence projection of input distribution on the generalized knowledge base. The iterative inference mechanism resembles natural process of cognition as iteratively improving understanding of the input information.  相似文献

Physicians have already expressed widespread interest in using expert systems. Numerous medical expert systems have appeared, but only a few of them have proven successful. In this article, several criteria that are crucial to the success of an expert system in clinical practice are indicated. The medical foundations of an expert system now being developed according to these criteria are given. The intended purpose of this expert system is to be an effective instrument for the physician in performing the challenging task of caring for patients suffering from chronic obstructive lung disease or high-risk persons. Our aim is to create a system for everyday use that will have several features not provided by the contemporary expert systems in the field of pulmonary diseases. 本文建立了一个用于药物分析方法选择的专家系统ESODA。ESODA由主控模块、I/O模块和专家系统骨架三个主要部分组成,并采用了产生式规则、框架、词典三种知识表示方法。该系统可在IBM PC及其兼容机上运行。ESODA主要可用于提供新药的定性鉴别、含量测定以及体液中药物及代谢物的测定方法。此外,利用专家系统骨架ESTOOL还可方便地构造其它专家系统。  相似文献

针对飞行器飞行状态的人工评估日趋复杂和困难的问题,将评估树技术和专家系统技术相结合,提出一种用于飞行器任务评估的综合分析模型。首先介绍系统总体结构设计,分析系统各模块的功能和联系;然后,提出一种知识表示模型以及知识获取与转换流程,建立基于数据库的知识库;最后,分析专家系统推理机制,通过不确定性推理提高系统的推理有效性。工程实践表明该专家系统是可靠有效的。  相似文献
