China''s Oil Giants Increase Oil Imports from Russia''s Yukos

To relieve the shortage in crude supply, sharp reduction of crude production by Daqing Oil Field in particular, Sinopec Corp has recently signed an agreement with OAO Yukos Oil Company to import 17 million tons of crude oil from Russia's second largest oil firm via a railway over the next four years.The first batch of the Russian oil will be delivered starting May 1 by a rail link from Russian territory to Erlianhaote in China's Inner Mongolia.

Selection of Sinopec Lubricating Oil Producing Bases by Using the AHP Model

The factors affecting the development of Sinopec lubricating oil were analyzed in this paper,and an analytic hierarchy process(AHP)model for selecting lubricating-oil producing bases was developed.By using this model,nine lubricating oil producing companies under Sinopec were comprehensively evaluated.The evaluation result showed that the Maoming Lubricating Oil Company(Guangdong province),Jingmen Lubricating Oil Company(Hubei province)and Changcheng Lube Oil Company(Beijing)are top three choices,and should be developed preferentially for the development of Sinopec producing bases of lubricating oil in the future.The conclusions provide the theoretical basis for selecting lubricating oil producing bases for decision makers.

Status and Prospects of Petroleum Exploration and Development in China

A new system facing petroleum industry market has been initially established after the recognition and institutional shift of three oil giants, China National Petroleum Corporation （CNPC）, China Petrochemical Corporation （Sinopec） and China National Offshore Oil Corporation （CNOOC） in 1998.
