The concept of model management as a logical extension and parallel of data management has resulted in attempts to extend existing data models to incorporate modeling functionality. This fosters a data-oriented view which artificially restricts the domain of model management. This paper suggests that a model-oriented approach which views ‘data as a model’ not only expands the scope of model management but also offers a more integrated and balanced conceptual foundation from which to implement model management. On the organizational level, this approach recognizes the transition from informal modeling as exemplified by the use of spreadsheets to formal modeling which manages models as a resource in conjunction with data. The notion of information administration is introduced as an organizational mechanism for controlling this evolution. On the technological level, a generalized model management system (GMMS) is required for support of organizational modeling activities. Geoffrion's structured modeling is suggested as a foundation from which to build a model-oriented GMMS. The incorporation of artificial intelligence capabilities into a GMMS is seen as a second implementation step which require the development of a sufficiently flexible meta-level architecture. Model abstractions are introduced as a vehicle for implementing this architecture.  相似文献

为了满足高速公路安全管理系统的功能需求,提出了一种适合高速公路交通网络数据表达、操作与分析的基于交通流特性的高速公路交通网络数据模型,弥补了现有交通网络GIS数据模型在复杂的网络建模和分析中的不足。在分析高速公路交通流特性的基础上提出了高速公路交通网络的建模要素,并设计了概念建模、逻辑建模和物理建模的方法。该模型有利于迅速响应影响网络交通流分布的突发事件并生成安全管制决策,文中以高速公路网交通封闭实施位置算法为例说明其在高速公路安全管理领域的应用。  相似文献

One of the most significant positive effects on product and process development in recent years has been the application of data management techniques. Engineering data management or product data management is the most promising one. The implementation of engineering data management is heavily dependent on the engineering process and involves the technologies of management, engineering, and information. However, as there is no commonly acceptable approach and methodologies for implementing engineering data management, it’s implementation becomes a bottleneck.This paper presents a structured methodology for the implementation of engineering data management. The approach consists of a series of steps, from business and engineering process analysis, modeling and reengineering, through system design and modeling, to system realization.This research will facilitate engineering process improvement and the planning, design and implementation of engineering data management. Consequently, it will help increase product development capability and quality, reduce development cycle time and cost, and hence increase product marketability.  相似文献

数据集成是舰艇作战系统体系结构设计的重点之一。为了解决作战系统接口设计存在的问题,提出采用XML数据建模和元数据管理技术的集成设计方法。通过填充型号项目表、二级系统表、上网节点表、接口规格表、信息单元表、数据字段表和数据类型表等7张表构成的接口模板得到数据模型,并开发实现工具软件辅助完成数据建模和元数据管理,从而有效提高作战系统数据集成设计的效率。  相似文献

Software quality models can predict which modules will have high risk, enabling developers to target enhancement activities to the most problematic modules. However, many find collection of the underlying software product and process metrics a daunting task.Many software development organizations routinely use very large databases for project management, configuration management, and problem reporting which record data on events during development. These large databases can be an unintrusive source of data for software quality modeling. However, multiplied by many releases of a legacy system or a broad product line, the amount of data can overwhelm manual analysis. The field of data mining is developing ways to find valuable bits of information in very large databases. This aptly describes our software quality modeling situation.This paper presents a case study that applied data mining techniques to software quality modeling of a very large legacy telecommunications software system's configuration management and problem reporting databases. 运载火箭总体方案论证过程中,由于涉及专业多、专业间迭代交互频繁、设计方案多变等特点,容易造成多专业协同设计时版本与技术状态的不统一,需要研究针对运载火箭产品的通用建模方法,并开发相应的软件系统;基于统一数据源的协同设计理念,结合运载火箭总体设计与数据模型特点,通过定义基础信息模型、概念模型、参数模型、外部定义模型4种数据模型,提出了针对运载火箭产品的通用主模型构建方法;将此通用建模方法软件化,搭建了基于主模型的协同设计软件系统整体架构;此架构包含主模型管理系统、主模型建模工具及应用客户端三部分,实现了多专业协同设计过程中数据与版本的统一管理、技术状态一致性分析、谱系追踪、数据展示与应用等功能;该主模型建模工具与客户端软件系统的实现,为运载火箭的总体协同设计提供了工具支撑。  相似文献

To enhance the security of mobile devices, enterprises are developing and adopting mobile device management systems. However, if a mobile device management system is exploited, mobile devices and the data they contain will be compromised. Therefore, it is important to perform extensive threat modeling to develop realistic and meaningful security requirements and functionalities. In this paper, we analyze some current threat modeling methodologies, propose a new threat modeling methodology and present all possible threats against a mobile device management system by analyzing and identifying threat agents, assets, and adverse actions. Prognosis and health management plays an important role in the control of costs associated with operating large industrial equipment, such as wind turbines and aircraft. It is only fair that engineers and scientists have vastly researched modeling approaches to support decision making. Motivated by the growing availability of data and computational power as well as the advances in algorithms and methods, modeling frameworks often merge elements of physics, machine learning, and statistical learning. In this paper, we present a review on modeling in support of prognosis and health management of industrial equipment. This survey complements the existing prognosis and health management literature by discussing how modeling strategies are influenced by industry-specific aspects such as maintenance approaches (e.g., reactive, proactive, and predictive), implementation factors (e.g., industry, business model, purpose, development, and deployment), as well as supporting technologies (sensing, repair, and modeling itself). We use the onshore wind energy and civil aviation industries to illustrate how these aforementioned aspects can influence modeling and implementation of prognosis and health management. The literature review is broad and covers contributions over the past 40 years. We close the paper with few topics that can motive research going forward.  相似文献

Mississippi State University undertook a remote sensing application project to assist the Mississippi Park Commission in selecting a suitable site for a proposed state park in Adams County, Mississippi. Due to political and geographic constraints, a study area of approximately 130,000 acres was selected. High-altitude color infrared imagery of scale 1 : 120,000 was available, and these data, together with inputs from other sources such as topographic and geologic base maps, yielded the basic data for the construction of a computerized data management system. The cell size for data input was 4 ha. Ten possible areas were selected by modeling and visual evaluation, and after the Commission personnel had selected one site, a low altitude flight was made to obtain 1 : 24,000 color infrared imagery. These data in conjunction with map information were used to develop a data management system for more intensive analysis and modeling on a 1-ha grid. The modeling effort indicated those cells which had the highest suitability for individual recreational activities. Master planning efforts for the park incorporate these data.  相似文献

从信息的知识发现角度出发,提出基于概率关系模型(PRM)的水体富营养化风险分析建模方法。该建模方法利用多关系数据的存储结构和存储内容对数据进行学习与挖掘,构建具有网络拓扑结构的PRM模型。示例分析结果表明,PRM模型易于解释与分析水体中各种影响因素间的相关性,该建模方法可通过分析历史数据发现水体富营养化的潜在风险,为库区水环境管理与水污染防治提供科学依据。  相似文献

An effective database and database management system is the key to the success of an integrated approach to software engineering applications in general, and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for structural applications in particular. Due to the inherent nature of CAD data such as dynamic modeling, a wide range of data types, large data volume, etc., the traditional database models, such as hierarchical, network and relational models, are unable to handle the aforementioned applications satisfactorily. An object-oriented data modeling is known to be the most effective approach. However, many of the commercial object-oriented databases are designed for information management, and they are inadequate for CAD application due to the different features of the object-hierarchy and varying data management objectives during the design cycles. This paper presents a hierarchical index-based object-oriented database management model for CAD applications. To deal with the object hierarchy encountered in CAD for the design of tall buildings, the proposed database consists of several salient features: a hierarchical object model, its related storage structure, a data dictionary, a class factory and an index system. The proposed database management model has been implemented into an integrated CAD system for design application of tall buildings.  相似文献
