为了提高无线资源的利用率,使WiMAX系统更好地支持语音业务,基于IEEE 802.16e协议的QoS调度体系,提出了针对带有静默压缩语音业务的拓展实时轮询调度机制的具体实现方案.而且通过对方案中关键参数的分析,给出了一种QoS保证方法.方法根据用户时延对数据带宽分配进行补偿,并按照用户负载情况动态地调整轮询请求带宽的分配周期.使用OPNET软件进行了系统级性能评估,结果表明所提出的方法可有效地降低用户上行接入时延和上行丢包率,从而提高了通信质量.  相似文献

A wealth of recent work has gone into optimizing the performance of Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) on the downlink channel of wireless networks such as for example, honing its congestion awareness mechanism so that it is minimally affected by random wireless losses, and optimizing achieved fairness of the end-to-end TCP rates. Other work has gone into balancing the allocation of a shared resource between the downlink and uplink in order to optimize TCP performance. We build on such previous research by proposing a cross-layer algorithm for resource allocation in OFDMA systems aiming not only to achieve optimal throughput for competing TCP flows but also to allocate resources appropriately between the downlink and uplink. This is important due to the increasing number of Internet applications where the mobile terminal is the TCP sender (social networking, peer-to-peer, etc.). Therefore, our scheme makes use of the asymmetry in the traffic and by defining the boundary between downlink and uplink capacity dynamically, enhance the TCP performance. Through numerical investigations we show the performance of the proposed scheme in terms of achieved fairness to the receivers and efficient allocation of downlink to uplink ratios based on the TCP traffic.  相似文献

Wireless personal communication networks are evolving to provide integrated multimedia services to mobile users. An important issue in their design is the accommodation of various services each having predefined Quality-of-Service (QoS) requirements. Efficient resource utilization can be achieved using a medium access scheme that allows various traffic components to be statistically multiplexed and a call admission control to prevent overload. Some multimedia services have asymmetric resource needs. For example, web browsing generally requires more downlink bandwidth than uplink bandwidth. We present a medium access scheme and a call admission control algorithm for guaranteed QoS provisioning in asymmetric integrated multimedia personal communication networks. An overall performance analysis model is developed. Performance characteristics are calculated and presented for an example system.  相似文献

This paper investigates variable rate control strategies for real-time multimedia variable bit rate (VBR) services over IEEE 802.16 broadband wireless networks. A data rate control mechanism is derived for the case where the uplink channel provides real-time services and the traffic rate parameter remains constant. This paper shows that the common queuing scheduling algorithms have some bandwidth allocation fairness problems for the real-time polling service (rtPS) in the MAC layer. In other words, the use of a VBR for the rtPS by a WiMAX system results in additional access latency jitter and bandwidth allocation disorder in the transmitted multimedia streams during the regular time interval polling of subscribe stations (SSs) for the contention bandwidth request period. However, the proposed scheduling algorithm solves these SSs contending with bandwidth resource allocation problems based on an extended rtPS (ertPS) of quality-of-service (QoS) pre-programming for a ranging response non-contention polling period. The adopted bandwidth allocation of max–min fairness queue scheduling uses a time constraint condition to transmit real-time multimedia VBR streaming in an IEEE 802.16 broadband wireless environment. In addition, we use the ns-2 simulation tool to compare the capacity of multimedia VBR stream and show that the proposed ertPS scheduling algorithm outperforms other rtPS scheduling algorithms.  相似文献

Next-generation broadband wireless standards use orthogonal frequency division multiple access (OFDMA) as the preferred physical layer multiple access scheme, especially for the downlink. Due to limited resources available at the base station, multi-user resource allocation is crucial for delivering the applications with various quality-of-service (QoS) demands. We study the OFDMA resource allocation problem for the adaptive modulation and coding (AMC) mode of mobile WiMAX, in which resources in the form of allocation units (AU) are to be allocated and the channel knowledge of only some good sub-channels for the users is available to the scheduler. The objective is to maximize the sum-rate for all the users while maintaining guaranteed minimum and maximum traffic rates for certain users under a total transmission power constraint. Two novel factors, band selectivity factor (BSF) and competition factor (CF), are introduced. Based on the two factors, we propose a sub-optimal approach, rate-guaranteed competitive scheduling (RCS). It is suitable to be deployed in practical systems and exploits multi-user diversity with very low complexity. Simulation results show that RCS can achieve almost 75% of throughput of the optimal solution.  相似文献

The CDMA/TDD system is a highly attractive solution to support the next generation cellular mobile systems which provide unbalanced multimedia services between downlink and uplink. In this paper, we analyze the interference for downlink and uplink timeslots in a multicell CDMA/TDD system. We also mathematically formulate an optimal timeslot and channel allocation problem considering capacity fairness among cells, which is to maximize the system capacity under the given traffic unbalance, and propose an efficient algorithm based on the simulated annealing technique. Extensive experimental results show that the proposed scheme yields a good performance, and fairness among cells improves with a decrease in the system capacity.  相似文献

The radio resource allocation is one of the most important issues to achieve effective wireless communication. In Long Term Evolution (LTE) network, single carrier frequency division multiple access (SC-FDMA) is applied as the transmission technology for uplink traffic. Most researches focus on maximizing the system throughput of SC-FDMA under changeable channel condition. However, users may require different quality of services (QoS) for different applications. This paper studies radio resource allocation for QoS users in localized SC-FDMA system. The proposed scheme divides allocation process into matching algorithm and radio resource assignment algorithm. The Gale–Shapley algorithm is applied to find the optimal matching between resource blocks (RB) and user equipment (UE) by considering channel conditions and the desired QoS. Then the resource assignment algorithm heuristically allocates bandwidth to UE by referring the matched RB under the constraint of carrier continuity. This paper modified the Recursive Maximum Expansion (RME) algorithm to effectively assign radio resource for UEs with different bandwidth demands. The performance of our proposed scheme is compared with the modified RME scheme through exhaustive simulations. The video streaming, VoIP, and FTP traffic types were adopted for simulations. Our simulation results show that the proposed scheme achieves better QoS satisfaction and system throughput than the RME-modified scheme.  相似文献

In IEEE 802.16 based wireless mesh networks (WMNs), TDMA (Time Division Multiple Access) is employed as the channel access method and only TDD (Time Division Duplex) is supported and there are no clearly separate downlink and uplink subframes in the physical frame structure. As the uplink and downlink traffic has different characteristics in that the uplink traffic decentralizes in each MSS (Mesh Subscriber Station) and the downlink traffic centralizes in the MBS (Mesh Base Station), different scheduling methods should be taken in the uplink and downlink. This paper presents a uniform slot allocation algorithm which is suitable for both uplinks and downlinks. To achieve higher spatial reuse and greater throughput and to avoid switching frequently between receiving and transmitting within two adjacent time slots when a relay node forwards traffic, different link selection criteria are taken into account when allocating slots for uplinks and downlinks. A combined uplink and downlink slot allocation algorithm is proposed for further improving the spatial reuse and network throughput. The proposed algorithms are evaluated by extensive simulations and the results show that it has good performance in terms of spatial reuse and network throughput. To the best of the authors’ knowledge, this work is the first one that considers combined uplink and downlink slot allocation on the centralized scheduling scheme in IEEE 802.16 based WMNs.  相似文献

为了解决3GPP LTE-A系统中Type-Ⅱ中继不发送下行参考信号导致基站无法获得中继到用户之间的链路质量信息、无法合理选择下行数据调制编码格式的问题,提出了一种TDD中继系统中新的下行链路自适应方法.该方法利用TDD系统上下行信道互惠性和UE周期性发送的上行探测信号更准确的进行信道估计,继而选择更合适的调制编码格式.给出了工作过程及发送接收算法模型,并进而提出基站与中继协作地采用发送分集技术传输下行数据.仿真实验结果表明,新的链路自适应方法及基站与中继发送分集的传输方式,显著地提高了系统频谱利用率.  相似文献

Traditional cellular networks require the downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) of mobile users (MUs) to be associated with a single base station (BS). However, the power gap between BSs and MUs in different transmission environments results in the BS with the strongest downlink differing from the BS with the strongest uplink. In addition, the significant increase in the number of wireless machine type communication (MTC) devices accessing cellular networks has created a DL/UL traffic imbalance with higher traffic volume on the uplink. In this paper, a joint user association and resource partition framework for downlink-uplink decoupling (DUDe) is developed for a tiered heterogeneous cellular network (HCN). Different from the traditional association rules such as maximal received power and range extension, a coalition game based scheme is proposed for the optimal user association with DUDe. The stability and convergence of this scheme are proven and shown to converge to a Nash equilibrium at a geometric rate. Moreover, the DL and UL optimal bandwidth partition for BSs is derived based on user association considering fairness. Extensive simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme, which enhances the sum rate compared with other user association strategies.  相似文献

We consider a cross-layer scheme for the downlink multiuser Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access (OFDMA) for mobile WiMAX (Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access) based on IEEE802.16e standard. We propose an intelligent Medium Access Control (MAC) that adapts with the physical layer (PHY) in response to the different QoS requirements of the diverse service flows in the system. This adaptation is represented by a joint packet scheduling and slot allocation scheme interaction in both MAC and PHY layers. Based on this interaction, a fair and efficient QoS guaranteed resource allocation for a mixture of real-time and non real-time service flows is achieved. We provide extensive simulation results showing the performance aspects of the proposed cross-layer scheme.  相似文献

针对IEEE 802.16j网络,提出了一种上行业务的动态联合带宽资源调度方案。根据该网络系统树状拓扑结构,在基站BS和中继站RS间采用分级分布式资源调度体制,从而既保障了业务的带宽需求,又提升了上行带宽利用率,同时还提出了针对不同类型业务采用不同的调度算法,改善了调度的公平合理性。仿真结果表明,提出的动态联合调度方案相比严格优先级调度更具灵活性,能够在兼顾用户速率公平的条件下有效地保证各种服务的QoS要求,同时也可获得较高的带宽资源利用率。  相似文献

在分析IPTV接入网的要求和WiMAX技术优势的基础上,提出了WiMAX应用于IPTV的系统模型,并具体分析了系统流程;针对IPTV业务下行数据量比较大的特点,提出了适合IPTV业务特点的下行链路实时调度(DLRTS)算法,该算法的主要目的在于降低实时业务的时延,从而保证IPTV的服务质量(QoS)。仿真结果表明,与常用的轮叫调度(Round R0bin)算法相比,本文算法在实时业务的时延和吞吐量两方面的性能都有明显提高,可很好地支持IPTV业务。  相似文献

An efficient bandwidth allocation scheme in wireless networks should not only guarantee successful data transmission without collisions but also enhance the channel spatial reuse to maximize the system throughput. The design of high-performance wireless Local Area Network (LAN) technologies making use of TDMA/FDD MAC (Time Division Multiple Access/Frequency Division Duplex - Medium Access Control) is a very active area of research and development. Several protocols have been proposed in the literature as TDMA-based bandwidth allocation schemes. However, they do not have a convenient generic parameters or suitable frame repartition for dynamic adjustment. In this work, we undertake the design and performance evaluation of a QoS (Quality of Service)-aware scheme built on top of the underlying signaling and bandwidth allocation mechanisms provided by most wireless LANs standards. The main contribution of this study is the new guarantee-based dynamic adjustment algorithm used in MAC level to provide the required QoS for all traffic types in wireless medium especially Wireless ATM (Asynchronous Transfer Mode). Performance evaluation of this approach consists of improving the bandwidth utilization, supporting different QoS requirements and reducing call reject probability and packet latency.  相似文献

传统的带宽分配策略按照分层结构进行设计,集中在链路层解决问题,没有考虑动态变化的信道状态和所承载的数据流的QoS性能。基于跨层设计的思想,针对支持话音业务和Internet数据业务的卫星网络提出了一种基于跨层设计的带宽分配算法。该策略将应用层的业务特性和数据链路层的带宽分配策略以及物理层的信道状态进行跨层优化。主控站通过建立代价函数的方法将所有相关参数综合考虑,利用动态规划算法得到了最佳的带宽分配方案。数值结果表明:跨层设计方式可以适应变化的信道状态,并且同传统带宽分配算法比较,提高了Internet数据的有效吞吐量并且保持了话音业务的QoS要求。  相似文献

With fast proliferation of QoS-enabled wireless packet networks, need for effective QoS control is increasing. In this paper, we focus on QoS provisioning in Mobile WiMAX access service network (ASN). We investigate a dynamic bandwidth provisioning method that can help to increase resource utilization. Our approach consists of two stages: traffic forecasting, followed by bandwidth provisioning. For the first stage, we use auto-regressive integrated moving average (ARIMA) model to forecast traffic based on online measurement. For the second stage, we use a bandwidth provisioning scheme that allocates bandwidths depending on the traffic forecasting. We modeled our problem as a Fractional Knapsack Problem for which we used a greedy algorithm in order to find an approximate solution. Through simulation studies with real-world data sets, we found that our approach could increase the bandwidth for the real-time traffic class and guarantee adequate service quality for the nonreal-time traffic class as well, while maximizing resource utilization.  相似文献

窄带蜂窝物联网(NB-IoT)技术发展迅猛,与原有的无线通信协议相比,NB-IoT的频谱带宽仅有180 kHz,因此,如何更有效地使用资源或频谱(即资源分配和调度)成为NB-IoT技术的关键问题。针对该问题,对NB-IoT上行链路资源调度的相关因素,其中包括资源分配、功率控制以及上行传输间隙进行了分析,并提供不同选择方案以选择出最优的方案;另外,针对调制与编码方案和重复传输次数的选择进行了重点分析,提出基于不同的覆盖等级联合功率余量报告的贪婪-稳定选择调制与编码策略以初步选择调制与编码级别,在选择重复传输次数时引入了一个补偿因子以衡量重传次数的大小以及对调制与编码等级更新;最后,对所提出方案进行了仿真分析。仿真结果表明,所提方案与直接传输方法相比,平均可节省超过56%的活动时间和46%的资源消耗。  相似文献
