Leadership requires making decisions and implementing the results by influencing those being lead. The Personal Access to Leadership project, PAL, is constructing tools to assist leaders in creative ways and assisting the development of leaders. The tools are knowledge-based systems employing shallow understanding of the domain. The approaches used provide guidance, but do not generate solutions. One aspect that continues under exploration in PAL is the use of stories for training and guiding leaders. In order to make such support systems work, a representation is needed to enable locating useful stories related to the task of a leader. This article defines a model for story representation for the PAL tools, called the PAL tool IdeaLab. The IdeaLab is the tool to which stories are being added, as a help system to support and extend the user's thinking. 相似文献

不确定知识表示中常使用语言值来表达其真实程度和可信程度。为处理具有语言值可信度的不确定性知识表示问题,基于十元格蕴涵代数,建立一个十元语言值可信度因子知识表示模型,并实现了具有语言值可信度因子的知识推理。所提出的知识表示方法可以有效地表达具有可比性或不可比性的语言值不确定性信息。实例说明所提出的方法在表示知识时能够尽量模拟具有语言值信息的人类思维模式,有利于对不确定性知识的智能处理。 相似文献

This article presents a formal model of the knowledge representation scheme based on the fuzzy Petri net (FPN) theory. The model is represented as a 13-tuple consisting of the components of the FPN, two functions that give semantic meanings to the scheme and a set of contradictions. For the scheme, called the knowledge representation scheme based on the fuzzy Petri nets theory (KRFPN) the fuzzy inheritance and fuzzy recognition-inference procedures based on the dynamical properties of the FPN, are described in detail. The upper-time complexity of both the proposed inference algorithms is O(nm), where n is the number of places (concepts) and m is the number of transitions (relations) in the scheme. Illustrative examples of the fuzzy inheritance and the fuzzy recognition algorithms for the knowledge base, designed by the KRFPN, are given. 相似文献

ABSTRACT The development of a hypertext-based diagnosis system requires, on one hand, adapted tools for a task oriented navigation across the documents, and on the other hand, context sensitive browsing capability of the knowledge base. This paper presents a system that possesses both properties. It is based on a formal model ontology for representing a diagnostic domain, a computational scheme to implement and use the ontology, and a human-machine interface to provide users with an efficient access to objects, methods, and relations described in the ontology. We use an example based on the diagnosis of vibrations of rotating machines throughout the paper to illustrate the approach. The example has been built and implemented according to the norm (AFNOR 1998), which defines the protocol and the evaluation procedure of vibration from signals measured and recorded on the rotating machines. 相似文献

This paper focuses on the semantics of Telos, a language for representing knowledge about information systems. Telos is intended to support the development of information systems, especially in the requirements modeling phase. An object-oriented representational framework is supported by Telos. Its features include aggregation, generalization, and classification, the treatment of attributes as first-class objects and the explicit representation of time. Telos also provides an assertion sublanguage for expressing deductive rules and integrity constraints. A possible-worlds semantics is defined for Telos knowledge bases. This semantics is intended to capture the peculiarities involved in the interpretation of temporal expressions. The integration of time has also inspired the treatment of existence in Telos. An ontology of objects based on the property of existence is proposed. In the spirit of KRYPTON, Telos knowledge bases are specified functionally, in terms of the operations provided for querying and updating them. This knowledge-level analysis will allow us to specify exactly what a knowledge base can be ASK-ed or TELL-ed about the domain of discourse. Soundness, consistency, and completeness results have also been proven to complete the specification of Telos knowledge bases. This formal account of the language provides a logical framework that can be used to verify the correctness of any proposed implementation of the system. 相似文献
