A single nucleotide change (A/C) in exon 14 is capable of encoding a substitution of tyrosine-581 to serine (Y581S) in the ABCG2 (ATP binding cassette, subfamily G, member 2) gene and affects milk production traits. The ABCG2A allele decreases milk yield and increases protein and fat concentration. The allele frequencies were determined in 32 Bos taurus and 3 Bos indicus breeds; ABCG2A was predominant in all populations. This allele approached fixation in 23 out of 35 breeds, including all 3 Bos indicus breeds. The ABCG2C allele was found in the Belgian Blue (beef), Belgian Blue Mix, British Friesian, Bohemian Red, East Anatolian Red, German Angus, German Black Pied, German Brown, German Simmental, Israeli Holstein, Menorquina, and US Holstein breeds. Thus, the genetic gain expected from selection for ABCG2A may be limited. The detection of ABCG2C only in Bos taurus breeds may indicate that ABCG2A is the ancestral allele, and that the Y581S substitution occurred after the separation of the Bos indicus and Bos taurus lineages.  相似文献

Twenty Bos taurus (Hereford x Angus crosses) and 20 F1 Bos indicus x Bos taurus heifers of the same age, management and feeding regimen, were harvested and evaluated at 2 days postmortem for carcass and meat traits. Ten muscles were obtained from the right sides and aged until 10 days postmortem. Bos indicus carcasses were lighter, had less fat cover, smaller ribeyes, and less intramuscular lipid (all p ≤ 0.05). Bos taurus longissimus lumborum, gluteus medius, triceps brachii, and semimembranosus muscles cooked as steaks and roasts had a lower Warner-Bratzler shear force (WBSF) (p ≤ 0.05) than those from Bos indicus. Bos taurus deep pectoral and semitendinosus muscles cooked as roasts had a lower WBSF (p < 0.05) than Bos indicus. Infraspinatus, longissimus lumborum, and semitendinosus muscles were more tender (p < 0.05) as roasts than steaks, whereas the opposite was true for the deep pectoral and semimembranosus muscles. Seven of the 10 muscles had lower WBSF (p ≤ 0.05) for Bos taurus when cooked as steaks, roasts or both.  相似文献

The study provides the first comprehensive information on the variability of milk protein genes of Bos indicus and Bos taurus cattle breeds in Cameroon and Nigeria. The investigations indicate a high diversity of milk protein genes for the zebu populations. Of the investigated alleles, 21 out of 29 were observed. The method of single strand conformation polymorphism (SSCP) was a particularly useful technique because it allowed discrimination of alleles, including zebu-specific alleles at the CSN2 (I) and CSN3 (A(I) and H) loci, not separated by protein electrophoretic techniques and also made possible the detection of a further CSN1S1 5' promoter allele (CSNIS1Prom5), which is also zebu-specific. Characterization of CSN1S1Prom5 showed that it was the most variable of all described CSN1S1 promoter alleles. A potential GATA consensus motif is created by mutations in CSN1S1Prom5. Intra-breed diversity measured as mean effective number of alleles was higher in the zebu populations than in the taurine breeds. Of the expected casein haplotypes, 96 out of 320 were present in the studied breeds. 2-C-A-A2-H (CSN1SIProm2-CSN1S1C-CSN1S2A-CSN2A2-CSN3H) and 5-C-A-A2-H were zebu-specific while 1-B-A-A2-B was specific to the taurines. Overall distribution of alleles and haplotypes clearly separated the zebu populations from the taurine breeds. Zebu influence on the taurine breed Namchi was detected through the occurrence of zebu alleles and haplotypes. High variability of milk proteins also means availability of resources for breed development, phylogenetic studies, and conservation and management decisions.  相似文献

Lymhocytes from clinically healthy Holstein animals (8 males and 23 females) were cultured in media containing 5-bromodeoxyuridine (10 microgram/ml) for two cycles of deoxyribonucleic acid replication (48 h). The exchange of sister chromatids per cell varied from 1 to 16 with a mean of 5.4 and a standard deviation of 2.1 in 603 differentially stained metaphase chromosome spreads. The major fraction of exchanges in the X chromosome were located in the region of the subcentromeric G negative bands q1 and q2. When the cells were pulse labeled with tritium labeled thymidine (1 muCi/ml) for the last 6 h of the cell cycle, the rate of exchange was higher in the late replicating X chromosome (facultative heterochromatin) in comparison to its homologue (active X). This study characterizes the yield of sister chromatid exchange in lymphocytes exposed to a given amount of 5-bromodeoxyuridine in a population of normal individuals so that it may be used as a standard for 1) a diagnostic tool in pathological conditions and 2) as an assay of chromosome stability in relation to environmental hazards.  相似文献

Bovine lymphocyte antigen DRB 3.2 (BoLA-DRB3.2) gene encodes for the beta chain of the major histocompatibility complex (MHC) class II molecule in cattle, which is a glycoprotein present on the surface of antigen-presenting cells. This locus shows extensive polymorphism in it. The objective of the present study was to genotype the BoLA-DRB3.2 locus in Kankrej cattle (n = 50) by PCR-RFLP. Bovine DNA was isolated from aliquots of whole blood. Primers specific for exon 2 of the bovine lymphocyte antigen (BoLA)-DRB3 gene were used to amplify the region. The 304-bp amplified product of the DRB3 gene was separately digested with restriction endonucleases RsaI, BstYI, and Hae III. Twenty-four BoLA-DRB 3.2 alleles were identified with frequencies ranging from 1 to 22.0%. Twenty-one alleles of the total 24 alleles were similar to those reported earlier; 3 alleles were new and had not been reported previously. The allele BoLA-DRB3.2*34 occurred at the highest frequency of 22% (approx.) in the Kankrej animals studied. Six alleles (BoLA-DRB3.2 *34, *15, *06, *20, *37, and *20) accounted for almost 71% of the total alleles observed to be present in the Kankrej animals. All the new alleles observed were present at frequencies of 1%. The results obtained in the present study demonstrated that the BoLA DRB3.2 locus is highly polymorphic in the Kankrej cattle.  相似文献

Genomic selection may accelerate genetic progress in breeding programs of indicine breeds when compared with traditional selection methods. We present results of genomic predictions in Gyr (Bos indicus) dairy cattle of Brazil for milk yield (MY), fat yield (FY), protein yield (PY), and age at first calving using information from bulls and cows. Four different single nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) chips were studied. Additionally, the effect of the use of imputed data on genomic prediction accuracy was studied. A total of 474 bulls and 1,688 cows were genotyped with the Illumina BovineHD (HD; San Diego, CA) and BovineSNP50 (50K) chip, respectively. Genotypes of cows were imputed to HD using FImpute v2.2. After quality check of data, 496,606 markers remained. The HD markers present on the GeneSeek SGGP-20Ki (15,727; Lincoln, NE), 50K (22,152), and GeneSeek GGP-75Ki (65,018) were subset and used to assess the effect of lower SNP density on accuracy of prediction. Deregressed breeding values were used as pseudophenotypes for model training. Data were split into reference and validation to mimic a forward prediction scheme. The reference population consisted of animals whose birth year was ≤2004 and consisted of either only bulls (TR1) or a combination of bulls and dams (TR2), whereas the validation set consisted of younger bulls (born after 2004). Genomic BLUP was used to estimate genomic breeding values (GEBV) and reliability of GEBV (R2PEV) was based on the prediction error variance approach. Reliability of GEBV ranged from ∼0.46 (FY and PY) to 0.56 (MY) with TR1 and from 0.51 (PY) to 0.65 (MY) with TR2. When averaged across all traits, R2PEV were substantially higher (R2PEV of TR1 = 0.50 and TR2 = 0.57) compared with reliabilities of parent averages (0.35) computed from pedigree data and based on diagonals of the coefficient matrix (prediction error variance approach). Reliability was similar for all the 4 marker panels using either TR1 or TR2, except that imputed HD cow data set led to an inflation of reliability. Reliability of GEBV could be increased by enlarging the limited bull reference population with cow information. A reduced panel of ∼15K markers resulted in reliabilities similar to using HD markers. Reliability of GEBV could be increased by enlarging the limited bull reference population with cow information.  相似文献

Data were analyzed on the Kenana, a Bos indicus breed of cattle indigenous to northern Sudan. Cattle were kept at Um Banein in a hot dry tropical environment 13 degrees .04' latitude north at an altitude of 435 m. Analyzed were lactation yield (1597 kg), lactation length (264), calving interval (530), and annual lactation yield (1225 kg). Between 1966 and 1980 all these traits except lactation length were significantly affected by lactation number and year. None was significantly influenced by the season in which lactation started. Kenana have considerable potential in the Sudan environment as a dairy breed, but further selection and an open nucleus system of breeding to introduce additional genetic material is required to express this potential.  相似文献

Frequent violation of flunixin residues in tissues from cattle has been attributed to non-compliance with the USFDA-approved route of administration and withdrawal time. However, the effect of administration route and physiological differences among animals on tissue depletion has not been determined. The objective of this work was to develop a physiologically based pharmacokinetic (PBPK) model to predict plasma, liver and milk concentrations of flunixin in cattle following intravenous (i.v.), intramuscular (i.m.) or subcutaneous (s.c.) administration for use as a tool to determine factors that may affect the withdrawal time. The PBPK model included blood flow-limited distribution in all tissues and elimination in the liver, kidney and milk. Regeneration of parent flunixin due to enterohepatic recirculation and hydrolysis of conjugated metabolites was incorporated in the liver compartment. Values for physiological parameters were obtained from the literature, and partition coefficients for all tissues but liver and kidney were derived empirically. Liver and kidney partition coefficients and elimination parameters were estimated for 14 pharmacokinetic studies (including five crossover studies) from the literature or government sources in which flunixin was administered i.v., i.m. or s.c. Model simulations compared well with data for the matrices following all routes of administration. Influential model parameters included those that may be age or disease-dependent, such as clearance and rate of milk production. Based on the model, route of administration would not affect the estimated days to reach the tolerance concentration (0.125 mg kg?1) in the liver of treated cattle. The majority of USDA-reported violative residues in liver were below the upper uncertainty predictions based on estimated parameters, which suggests the need to consider variability due to disease and age in establishing withdrawal intervals for drugs used in food animals. The model predicted that extravascular routes of administration prolonged flunixin concentrations in milk, which could result in violative milk residues in treated cattle.  相似文献

Acyl-CoA:diacylglycerol acyltransferase 1 (DGAT1) is a key enzyme in triacylglycerol synthesis in the mammary gland, and the corresponding gene has emerged as a strong candidate for the variation in milk fat percentage. In this study, the allele frequencies and effects of the DGAT1 K232A variants in the Swedish dairy breeds Swedish Red and Swedish Holstein were investigated. A total of 239 cows, 143 of the Swedish Red breed and 96 of the Swedish Holstein breed, in the experimental herd at the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences were genotyped for the DGAT1 polymorphism. The Swedish Red cows in the herd belonged to 1 of 2 selection lines with high or low milk fat percentage, respectively, but with similar high total milk energy production. The frequency of the K variant was found to be significantly greater in the high-fat line than in the low-fat line. The average frequency of the K variant in the 2 lines of the Swedish Red cows was 0.09 compared with 0.12 among the Swedish Holstein cows. Mixed model analysis was used to estimate the effect of the DGAT1 K232A polymorphism based on 16,866 test-day records for milk production traits. In accordance with previous studies, the most pronounced effects were found for fat and protein percentages and milk yield; and the K variant was associated with an increase in milk fat and protein percentages but less milk yield compared with the A variant. Less pronounced effects were found for yields of fat and protein for which the K variant was associated with greater fat yield but less protein yield.  相似文献

Growth hormone, produced in the anterior pituitary gland, stimulates the release of insulin-like growth factor-I from the liver and is of critical importance in the control of nutrient utilization and partitioning for lactogenesis, fertility, growth, and development in cattle. The aim of this study was to discover novel polymorphisms in the bovine growth hormone gene (GH1) and to quantify their association with performance using estimates of genetic merit on 848 Holstein-Friesian AI (artificial insemination) dairy sires. Associations with previously reported polymorphisms in the bovine GH1 gene were also undertaken. A total of 38 novel single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) were identified across a panel of 22 beef and dairy cattle by sequence analysis of the 5′ promoter, intronic, exonic, and 3′ regulatory regions, encompassing approximately 7 kb of the GH1 gene. Following multiple regression analysis on all SNP, associations were identified between 11 SNP (2 novel and 9 previously identified) and milk fat and protein yield, milk composition, somatic cell score, survival, body condition score, and body size. The G allele of a previously identified SNP in exon 5 at position 2141 of the GH1 sequence, resulting in a nonsynonymous substitution, was associated with decreased milk protein yield. The C allele of a novel SNP, GH32, was associated with inferior carcass conformation. In addition, the T allele of a previously characterized SNP, GH35, was associated with decreased survival. Both GH24 (novel) and GH35 were independently associated with somatic cell count, and 3 SNP, GH21, 2291, and GH35, were independently associated with body depth. Furthermore, 2 SNP, GH24 and GH63, were independently associated with carcass fat. Results of this study further demonstrate the multifaceted influences of GH1 on milk production, fertility, and growth-related traits in cattle.  相似文献

The goal of this study was to identify potential quantitative trait loci (QTL) for 27 production, fitness, and conformation traits of Guernsey cattle through genome-wide association (GWA) analyses, with extra emphasis on BTA19, where major QTL were observed for several traits. Animals' de-regressed predicted transmitting abilities (PTA) from the December 2018 traditional US evaluation were used as phenotypes. All of the Guernsey cattle included in the QTL analyses were predictor animals in the reference population, ranging from 1,077 to 1,685 animals for different traits. Single-trait GWA analyses were carried out by a mixed-model approach for all 27 traits using imputed high-density genotypes. A major QTL was detected on BTA19, influencing several milk production traits, conformation traits, and livability of Guernsey cattle, and the most significant SNP lie in the region of 26.2 to 28.3 Mb. The myosin heavy chain 10 (MYH10) gene residing within this region was found to be highly associated with milk production and body conformation traits of dairy cattle. After the initial GWA analyses, which suggested that many significant SNP are in linkage with one another, conditional analyses were used for fine mapping. The top significant SNP on BTA19 were fixed as covariables in the model, one at a time, until no more significant SNP were detected on BTA19. After this fine-mapping approach was applied, only 1 significant SNP was detected on BTA19 for most traits, but multiple, independent significant SNP were found for protein yield, dairy form, and stature. In addition, the haplotype that hosts the major QTL on BTA19 was traced to a US Guernsey born in 1954. The haplotype is common in the breed, indicating a long-term influence of this QTL on the US Guernsey population.  相似文献

Although the quantitative trait locus (QTL) on chromosome 18 (BTA18) associated with paternal calving ease and stillbirth in Holstein Friesian cattle and its cross has been known for over 20 years, to our knowledge, the exact causal genetic sequence has yet escaped identification. The aim of this study was to re-examine the region of the published QTL on BTA18 and to investigate the possible reasons behind this elusiveness. For this purpose, we carried out a combined linkage disequilibrium and linkage analysis using genotyping data of 2,697 German Holstein Friesian (HF) animals and subsequent whole-genome sequencing (WGS) data analyses and genome assembly of HF samples. We confirmed the known QTL in the 95% confidence interval of 1.089 Mbp between 58.34 and 59.43 Mbp on BTA18. Additionally, these 4 SNPs in the near-perfect linkage disequilibrium with the QTL haplotype were identified: rs381577268 (on 57,816,137 bp, C/T), rs381878735 (on 59,574,329 bp, A/T), rs464221818 (on 59,329,176 bp, C/T), and rs472502785 (on 59,345,689 bp, T/C). Search for the causal mutation using short and long-read sequences, and methylation data of the BTA18 QTL region did not reveal any candidates though. The assembly showed problems in the region, as well as an abundance of segmental duplications within and around the region. Taking the QTL of BTA18 in Holstein cattle as an example, the data presented in this study comprehensively characterize the genomic features that could also be relevant for other such elusive QTL in various other cattle breeds and livestock species as well.  相似文献

This study aimed to investigate differential allele expression (DAE) and polymorphism and parent-of-origin effects on expression of genes related to beef traits. CAST, related to meat tenderness, and DGAT1 and leptin, related to fat deposition, were evaluated. In bovine fetal tissues CAST was expressed twice as much (P < 0.05) in muscle of homozygous GG than in heterozygous AG. Leptin was expressed about one-tenth as much (P < 0.05) in heterozygous TpCm (allele T of paternal origin and allele C of maternal origin) than in homozygous CC. No DAE was observed. The evidence of polymorphism effect on expression of CAST and parent-of-origin effect on leptin contributes to a better understanding of events controlling the expression of genes of economic interest in cattle. Furthermore, if the parent-of-origin effects observed in fetal tissues are confirmed in adult tissues and associated to phenotypic variation, this parental origin criterion may be considered in marker-assisted selection of beef traits.  相似文献

Inbreeding in Danish dairy cattle breeds   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The purpose of this study was to monitor current and predict future rates of inbreeding in the Danish dairy breeds. Calves born from 1999 until 2003 and registered as Danish Holstein (1,883,983), Danish Jersey (336,966), or Danish Red (261,047) were reference populations. Average complete generation equivalent was approximately 7. For calves born in 2003, average inbreeding was 3.9, 3.4, and 1.4% for Holstein, Jersey, and Danish Red, respectively. In recent years, effective population sizes were 49, 53, and 47, respectively. Based on coancestry statistics, future effective population sizes will be 43, 42, and 51, respectively. The effective number of founders, effective number of ancestors, and effective number of founder genomes were calculated. These measures of genetic diversity were all low for Holstein and Jersey and somewhat larger for Danish Red. The most important ancestors of Danish Holstein were Elevation (13.8%), Chief (10.9%), and Bell (8.5%). The most important ancestor of Danish Red was Momentum (9.4%), a Red Holstein-Friesian. The most important ancestor for Danish Jersey was FYN Lemvig (12.1%) with a large number of progeny in the reference population. The results of this study indicate the necessity for active management of the rate of inbreeding in the future.  相似文献

The effect of electrical stimulation on protease activity (at approx. 3 h postmortem), sensory tenderness scores and shear force was determined on M. longissimus samples from three Bos indicus genotypes (0% Hereford, 50% Brahman×Hereford and 100% Brahman). The samples were divided and aged for 1 or 30 days. Electrical stimulation resulted in a general reduction in calpastatin activity suggesting that it accelerated proteolysis. Calpastatin activity increased commensurate with increasing Bos indicus content. Several significant interactions were shown, the most relevant of these was the interaction between Bos indicus content×electrical stimulation. In contrast to the other genotypes, calpain I and calpain II activities were shown to increase (significant for calpain II only) following stimulation in the purebred Brahmans (100%). There was a significant reduction in tenderness with increasing Bos indicus content. However, breed differences in shear force were reduced by electrical stimulation. The improvement in shear force following ageing was smaller for stimulated carcasses compared to the controls. This tends to reinforce the premise that electrical stimulation accelerates proteolysis. The results of this study show clear genotypic differences in proteolytic activity and tenderness. However, electrical stimulation can be employed to reduce breed differences in tenderness of the M. longissimus.  相似文献

The identification of quantitative trait loci (QTL) and genes with influence on milk production traits has been the objective of various mapping studies in the last decade. In the centromeric region of Bos taurus autosome (BTA) 14, the acyl-CoA:diacylglycerol acyltransferase1 gene (DGAT1) has been identified as the most likely causative gene underlying a QTL for milk fat yield and content. Recently, a second polymorphism in the promoter of DGAT1 emerged as an additional source of variation. In this study, the frequencies and the effects of alleles at the DGAT1 K232A and at the DGAT1 promoter variable number of tandem repeat (VNTR) locus on BTA14, and of alleles at the CSN1S1 (αS1-casein-encoding gene) promoter on BTA6 in the German Angeln dairy cattle population were investigated. Analyzed traits were milk, fat, protein, lactose, and milk energy yield, fat, protein, lactose, and milk energy content and somatic cell score. The lysine variant of the DGAT1 K232A mutation showed significant effects for most of the milk production traits. A specific allele of the DGAT1 promoter VNTR showed significant effects on the traits lactose yield and content, milk energy content, and SCS compared with the other alleles. Additionally, a regulation mechanism between the DGAT1 K232A mutation and the DGAT1 promoter VNTR was found for fat yield and content, which could be caused by an upper physiological bound for the effects of the DGAT1 gene. At the CSN1S1 promoter, 2 of 4 alleles showed significant allele substitution effects on the milk yield traits.  相似文献

In the present study, we aimed to investigate the changes in triacylglycerol (TAG) composition as affected by alterations in the cows' diet due to seasonal variations and genetic factors. For this study, 50 milk fat samples in winter and 50 in summer were used from 25 cows with the DGAT1 KK genotype and 25 cows with the DGAT1 AA genotype. The samples were analyzed for milk fat content (%), fat composition, and TAG composition. We found that the content of TAG species CN54 was higher and that of CN34 and CN36 lower in summer than in winter. This seasonal variation in TAG profile was related to seasonal changes in the fatty acids C14:0, C16:0, C18:0, C18:1 cis-9, total unsaturated fatty acids, and total long-chain fatty acids, most likely resulting from dietary differences between seasons. Furthermore, we quantified the effect of DGAT1 K232A polymorphism on TAG profile and detected a significant effect on TAG species CN36, with higher values for the DGAT1 KK genotype. When adjusting for differences in fat content, we found no significant effects of the DGAT1 K232A polymorphism on TAG profile. We detected a significant interaction between DGAT1 K232A polymorphism and season for TAG species CN42 and CN52; in summer, the KK genotype was associated with higher levels for CN42 than the AA genotype, whereas in winter, the difference between the genotypes was small. For CN52, in summer the AA genotype was associated with higher levels than the KK genotype. In winter, the difference between the genotypes was also small. We show that, regardless of preference for DGAT1 genotype (AA or KK) and depending on the availability of FA according to season, UFA (C18:1 cis-9), short-chain FA (C6:0 and C10:0), and medium-chain FA might be esterified on the glycerol backbone of the TAG, keeping the structure characteristics of each TAG species. To our knowledge, this is the first report on the interaction effect of DGAT1 K232A polymorphism and season on the TAG composition in milk fat.  相似文献

Reproductive disorders in dairy herds have a negative effect on farm profitability and sustainability of milk production. Given the substantial evidence of the role of the pregnancy-associated plasma protein (PAPP) gene family in the regulation of reproduction in humans and mice, its role in insulin-like growth factor metabolism, quantitative trait loci effects in the mouse, and location of a calving ease QTL on bovine chromosome 16, the PAPP-A2 gene was chosen as a candidate gene to perform an association study for reproductive health in cattle. Single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNP) were identified in coding and conserved noncoding regions of the PAPP-A2 gene in 3 dairy breeds. A total of 7 tag SNP were genotyped in 662 Holstein bulls (UCD-bulls) to perform marker trait association analysis. Three SNP (SNP 13, 15, and 16) were in strong linkage disequilibrium in Holsteins, showing significant positive associations with daughter calving ease, productive life, milk yield, and protein yield. These results were validated by genotyping SNP15 in a larger population of 992 bulls from the cooperative dairy DNA repository (CDDR-bulls). Our results demonstrate that the PAPP-A2 gene is associated with reproductive health in Holstein cattle and that the identified SNP can be used as genetic markers in dairy breeding due to their positive association with reproductive and productive traits. Functional studies need to be conducted to identify the mechanisms for the association of SNP with these traits.  相似文献

The influence of a once only administration of a metabolite of vitamin D3 (HY · D®-25-hydroxy vitamin D3) on myofibrillar meat tenderness in Australian Brahman cattle was studied. Ninety-six Brahman steers of three phenotypes (Indo-Brazil, US and US/European) and with two previous hormonal growth promotant (HGP) histories (implanted or not implanted with Compudose®) were fed a standard feedlot ration for 70 d. Treatment groups of 24 steers were offered daily 10 g/head HY · D® (125 mg 25-hydroxyvitamin D3) for 6, 4, or 2 d before slaughter. One other group of 24 steers was given the basal diet without HY · D®. Feed lot performance, blood and muscle samples and carcass quality data were collected at slaughter. Calcium, magnesium, potassium, sodium, iron and Vitamin D3 metabolites were measured in plasma and longissimus dorsi muscle. Warner–Bratzler (WB) shear force (peak force, initial yield) and other objective meat quality measurements were made on the longissimus dorsi muscle of each steer after ageing for 1, 7 and 14 d post-mortem at 0–2 °C.  相似文献

A total of 259 cattle of four Turkish native cattle breeds, East Anatolian Red (EAR), South Anatolian Red (SAR), Turkish Grey (TG) and Anatolian Black (AB), Holstein and Brown Swiss (BS) breeds were genotyped for kappa‐casein (CSN3), bovine growth hormone (GH1) and prolactin (PRL) polymorphism by the polymerase chain reaction and restriction length polymorphism (PCR‐RFLP). The degree of genetic differentiation between populations FST was calculated as 0.053 and was found to be significant (P < 0.001). According to the genetic distance values (Nei), the highest genetic difference was found between SAR and EAR in four Turkish native cattle breeds and this difference was significant.  相似文献
