We give sufficient conditions for the exponential stability of a class of perturbed time‐varying difference equations with multiple delays and slowly varying coefficients. Under appropriate growth conditions on the perturbations, combined with the ‘freezing’ technique, we establish explicit conditions for global exponential stability. In this paper, the exponential stability problem is investigated for a class of discrete‐time singular switched systems with time‐varying delay. By using a new Lyapunov functional and average dwell time scheme, a delay‐dependent sufficient condition is established in terms of linear matrix inequalities for the considered system to be regular, causal, and exponentially stable. Different from the existing results, in the considered systems the corresponding singular matrices do not need to have the same rank. A numerical example is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed result. 相似文献

The issue of exponential stability analysis of continuous‐time switched singular systems consisting of a family of stable and unstable subsystems with time‐varying delay is investigated in this paper. It is very difficult to analyze the stability of such systems because of the existence of time‐delay and unstable subsystems. In this regard, on the basis of the free‐weighting matrix approach, by constructing the new Lyapunov‐like Krasovskii functional, and using the average dwell‐time approach, delay‐dependent sufficient conditions are derived and formulated in terms of LMIs to check the exponential stability of such systems. This paper also highlights the relationship between the average dwell‐time of the switched singular time‐delay system, its stability, exponential convergence rate of differential states, and algebraic states. Finally, a numerical example is given to confirm the analytical results and illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

This paper studies the exponential stability problems of discrete‐time and continuous‐time impulsive positive switched systems with mixed (discrete and distributed) time‐varying delays, respectively. By constructing novel copositive Lyapunov‐Krasovskii functionals and using the average dwell time technique, delay‐dependent sufficient conditions for the solvability of considered problems are given in terms of fairly simple linear matrix inequalities. Compared with the most existing results, by introducing an extra real vector, restrictive conditions on derivative of the time‐varying delays (less than 1) are relaxed, thus the obtained improved stability criteria can deal with a wider class of continuous‐time positive switched systems with time‐varying delays. Finally, two simple examples are provided to verify the validity of theoretical results. 相似文献

The stabilization problem for a class of infinite‐dimensional discrete‐time nonlinear systems is discussed. Under an appropiate growth condition on the nonlinear perturbation combined with the ‘freezing’ method to discrete‐time systems on Banach spaces, we establish explicit conditions for global feedback exponential stabilizability, and these conditions are easy to construct and to verify. This approach will allow us to avoid the construction of Lyapunov's functions in some situations. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of stability analysis for continuous‐time/discrete‐time systems with interval time‐varying delay. Based on the idea of partitioning the delay interval into l nonuniform subintervals, new Lyapunov functionals are established. By utilizing the reciprocally convex approach to deal with the delay information in each subinterval, sufficient stability conditions are proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Based on these criteria, the optimal partitioning method is given on the basis of the genetic algorithm. Finally, the reduced conservatism of the results in this paper is illustrated by numerical examples. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

The stability analysis problem is considered for linear discrete‐time systems with time‐varying delays. A novel summation inequality is proposed, which takes the double summation information of the system state into consideration. The inequality relaxes the recently proposed discrete Wirtinger inequality and its improved version. Based on construction of a suitable Lyapunov‐Krasovskii functional and the novel summation inequality, an improved delay‐dependent stability criterion for asymptotic stability of the systems is derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the advantages of the proposed method. 相似文献

In this paper we consider a linear, discrete‐time system depending multi‐affinely on uncertain, real time‐varying parameters. A new sufficient condition for the stability of this class of systems, in terms of a feasibility problem involving linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), is obtained under the hypothesis that a bound on the rate of variation of the parameters is known. This condition, obtained by the aid of parameter dependent Lyapunov functions, obviously turns out to be less restrictive than that one obtained via the classical quadratic stability (QS) approach, which guarantees stability in presence of arbitrary time‐varying parameters. An important point is that the methodology proposed in this paper may result in being less conservative than the classical QS approach even in the absence of an explicit bound on the parameters rate of variation. Concerning the synthesis context, the design of a gain scheduled compensator based on the above approach is also proposed. It is shown that, if a suitable LMI problem is feasible, the solution of such problem allows to design an output feedback gain scheduled dynamic compensator in a controller‐observer form stabilizing the class of systems which is dealt with. The stability conditions are then extended to take into account L2 performance requirements. Some numerical examples are carried out to show the effectiveness and to investigate the computational burden required by the proposed approach. Copyright © 2005 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

This paper studies the problem of stability analysis for continuous‐time systems with time‐varying delay. By developing a delay decomposition approach, the information of the delayed plant states can be taken into full consideration, and new delay‐dependent sufficient stability criteria are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The merits of the proposed results lie in their less conservatism, which are realized by choosing different Lyapunov matrices in the decomposed integral intervals and estimating the upper bound of some cross term more exactly. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness and less conservatism of the proposed method. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

This paper studies the robust exponential stability of uncertain discrete linear time‐varying (UDLTV) systems. The key tool is the recently proposed generating functions. It can be found that a class of improved generating functions (IGFS) can fully characterize the robust exponential stability of UDLTV systems, and the maximum exponential decay rate of system trajectories can be computed by the radius of convergence of the IGFS. Moreover, the application of convex optimization technique and dynamic programming method provides an effective algorithm for the computation of the IGFS. Finally, the numerical example illustrates the efficacy and advantage of the proposed approach. 相似文献

In a recent article on stability of discrete inclusions the authors argue that the problem of determining stability of discrete inclusions given by convex sets of matrices with a finite number of extremal points is NP-hard. It is shown that the argument that has been employed is inconclusive and thus the problem is still open. © 1998 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

This paper considers a class of stochastic systems referred to as stochastic switched systems of neutral type with time‐varying delay, which combines switched systems with neutral stochastic systems. The systems consist of subsystems of two forms: (i) only stable subsystems and (ii) both stable subsystems and unstable subsystems. By establishing an integral inequality, the exponential stability in pth(p≥1)‐moment for such systems with only stable subsystems is first considered. Then, by using an average dwell time approach, the exponential stability in pth(p≥1)‐moment for the second form is addressed. An important finding of this study is that when the average dwell time is chosen to be sufficiently large and the total activation time of unstable subsystems is relatively small compared with that of stable subsystems, the exponential stability in pth(p≥1)‐moment for such systems can be guaranteed. Two major advantages of these new results are that the differentiability or continuity of the delay function is not required compared with the existing results in the literature, and the proposed approaches can be used to consider the case when the neutral item and the stochastic perturbation are simultaneously presented. An example is provided to verify the effectiveness and potential of the theoretic results obtained. Copyright © 2016 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

We consider general discrete‐time nonlinear systems (of arbitrary nonlinear growth) with time‐varying input delays and design an explicit predictor feedback controller to compensate the input delay. Such results have been achieved in continuous time, but only under the restriction that the delay rate is bounded by unity, which ensures that the input signal flow does not get reversed, namely, that old inputs are not felt multiple times by the plant (because on such subsequent occasions, the control input acts as a disturbance). For discrete‐time systems, an analogous restriction would be that the input delay is non‐increasing. In this work, we do not impose such a restriction. We provide a design and a global stability analysis that allow the input delay to be arbitrary (containing intervals of increase, decrease, or stagnation) over an arbitrarily long finite period of time. Unlike in the continuous‐time case, the predictor feedback law in the discrete‐time case is explicit. We specialize the result to linear time‐invariant systems and provide an explicit estimate of the exponential decay rate. Carefully constructed examples are provided to illustrate the design and analytical challenges. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

General nonlinear time‐varying differential systems are considered. An explicit criterion for exponential stability is presented. Furthermore, an explicit robust stability bound for systems subjected to nonlinear time‐varying perturbations is given. In particular, it is shown that the generalized Aizerman conjecture holds for positive linear systems. Some examples are given to illustrate obtained results.Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. 相似文献

Terminal iterative learning control (TILC) has been developed to reduce the error between system output and a fixed desired point at the terminal end of operation interval over iterations. In this work, the desired terminal point is not fixed but allowed to change run‐to‐run among a set of fixed points and a new adaptive terminal iterative learning control scheme is developed to achieve learning objective over iterations. The control signal is updated from the measured terminal value at the end of a run, instead of the whole output trajectory. Although the reference terminal point is iteration‐varying, the new adaptive TILC guarantees that the tracking error converges to zero iteratively. Both rigorous mathematical analysis and simulation results confirm the applicability and effectiveness of the proposed approach. 相似文献

This paper is devoted to the problem of computing control laws for the stabilization of continuous‐time linear time‐varying systems. First, a necessary and sufficient condition to assess the stability of a linear time‐varying system based on the norm of the transition matrix computed over a sequence of successive finite‐time intervals is proposed. A link with a stability condition for an equivalent discrete‐time model is also established. Then, 3 approaches for the computation of stabilizing state‐feedback gains are proposed: a continuous‐time technique, ie, directly derived from the stability condition, not suitable for numerical implementation; a method based on the stabilization of the discrete‐time equivalent model along with a transformation to generate the desired continuous‐time gain; and the computation of stabilizing gains for a set of periodic discrete‐time systems. Finally, by adapting one of the existing methods for the stabilization of periodic discrete‐time systems, an algorithm for the computation of a stabilizing state‐feedback continuous‐time gain is proposed. A numerical example illustrates the validity of the technique. 相似文献

In this note, we deal with the exponential stability and stabilization problems for quadratic discrete‐time systems with time delay. By using the quadratic Lyapunov function and a so called ‘Finsler's lemma', delay‐independent sufficient conditions for local stability and stabilization for quadratic discrete‐time systems with time delay are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Based on these sufficient conditions, iterative linear matrix inequality algorithms are proposed for maximizing the stability regions of the systems. Finally, two examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of the methods presented in this paper. 相似文献

This note considers the problem of finite‐time stability (FTS) for switched nonlinear time‐varying systems. First, a relaxed condition is proposed to verify the FTS of nonlinear time‐varying systems by using an indefinite Lyapunov function. Then, the result obtained is extended to study the FTS of switched nonlinear time‐varying systems. Several relaxed conditions are given by using a common indefinite Lyapunov function and multiple indefinite Lyapunov functions. Moreover, the corresponding estimates on convergence regions and times of systems are also given. Comparing with the existing results, the conditions obtained allow the time derivative of Lyapunov functions of subsystems (or systems) to be indefinite and all subsystems to be not finite‐time stable or even unstable. Finally, a numerical example is given to illustrate the theoretical results. 相似文献
