This paper studies the problem of stability analysis for continuous‐time systems with time‐varying delay. By developing a delay decomposition approach, the information of the delayed plant states can be taken into full consideration, and new delay‐dependent sufficient stability criteria are obtained in terms of linear matrix inequalities. The merits of the proposed results lie in their less conservatism, which are realized by choosing different Lyapunov matrices in the decomposed integral intervals and estimating the upper bound of some cross term more exactly. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness and less conservatism of the proposed method. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, we study the exponential stability of linear discrete time‐delay systems with slowly varying coefficients and nonlinear perturbations. We establish the robustness of the exponential stability in Hilbert spaces, in the sense that the exponential stability for a given linear equation persists under sufficiently small perturbations. As an application of the main results, we discuss the exponential stability of a general nonlinear system. The main novelty of this work is that we always consider the exponential behavior of solutions with respect to an specific ball. Copyright © 2013 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper studies the stability problem of a class of linear switched systems with time‐varying delay in the sense of Hurwitz convex combination. By designing a parameter‐dependent switching law and using a new convex combination technique to deal with delay terms, a new stability criterion is established in terms of LMIs, which is dependent on the parameters of Hurwitz convex combination. The advantage of the new criterion lies in its less conservatism and simplicity. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness and the less conservatism of the proposed method. This article is addressed with the problem of stabilizing a switched linear system using the sampled and quantized state feedback under the influence of time‐varying delay. The switching is supposed to be slow enough in the sense of dwell time, and each individual mode is assumed to be stabilizable. By expanding the approach of attractor set from an earlier result on the delay‐free case, we establish the relationship between the state and the adjacent sampling state by introducing a monotonically increasing sequence, and analyze the mismatch time with classification. On the basis of this, the increment rate of the Lyapunov function and the total mismatch time are combined to achieve the practical stability with an attractor set.  相似文献

We consider general discrete‐time nonlinear systems (of arbitrary nonlinear growth) with time‐varying input delays and design an explicit predictor feedback controller to compensate the input delay. Such results have been achieved in continuous time, but only under the restriction that the delay rate is bounded by unity, which ensures that the input signal flow does not get reversed, namely, that old inputs are not felt multiple times by the plant (because on such subsequent occasions, the control input acts as a disturbance). For discrete‐time systems, an analogous restriction would be that the input delay is non‐increasing. In this work, we do not impose such a restriction. We provide a design and a global stability analysis that allow the input delay to be arbitrary (containing intervals of increase, decrease, or stagnation) over an arbitrarily long finite period of time. Unlike in the continuous‐time case, the predictor feedback law in the discrete‐time case is explicit. We specialize the result to linear time‐invariant systems and provide an explicit estimate of the exponential decay rate. Carefully constructed examples are provided to illustrate the design and analytical challenges. Copyright © 2015 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The robust stabilization problem for uncertain discrete singular time‐delay systems is addressed in this paper. In terms of strict linear matrix inequality and a finite sum inequality, a delay‐dependent criterion for the nominal systems to be admissible is obtained. Based on the criterion, a state feedback controller, which guarantees that, for all admissible uncertainties, the resulting closed‐loop system is regular, causal and stable, is constructed. An explicit expression for the desired controller is also given. The obtained results include both delay‐independent and delay‐dependent cases. Some numerical examples are introduced to show the effectiveness of the given results. Copyright © 2008 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of rubost stability for the uncertain neutral system with interval time varying discrete delay. By defining an appropriate Lyapunov‐Krasovskii functional and by employing the developed free weight matrices technique, several less conservative sufficient conditions are derived in term of the linear matrix inequalities. Numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness and the feasibility of the proposed method. Linear parameter‐varying (LPV) systems provide a systematic framework for the study of nonlinear systems by considering a representative family of linear time‐invariant systems parameterized by system parameters residing in a compact set. The brief instability concept in such systems allows the linear system to be unstable for some trajectories of the LPV parameter set, so that instability occurs only for short periods of time. In the present paper, we extend the notion of brief instability to LPV systems with time delay in their dynamics. The results provide tools for the stability and performance analysis of such systems, where performance is evaluated in terms of induced ??2‐gain (or so‐called ?? norm). The main results of this paper illustrate that stability and performance conditions can be evaluated by examining the feasibility of parameterized sets of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Using the results of this paper, we then investigate analysis conditions to guarantee the asymptotic stability and ?? performance of fault‐tolerant control (FTC) systems, in which instability may take place for a short period of time due to the false identification of the fault signals provided by a fault detection and isolation (FDI) module. The numerical examples are used to illustrate the qualification of the proposed analysis and synthesis results for addressing brief instability in time‐delay systems. This note presents a simple approach to analyze robust D‐stability for uncertain continuous‐time singular systems with state delay and structured uncertainties. Sufficient conditions, which are computationally simple, and need not calculate the eigenvalues of the system, are proposed to ensure that the uncertain continuous‐time singular delay system is regular, impulse free and D‐stable, that is, all its finite poles are located within a specified disk. Two numerical examples are given to demonstrate the application of the proposed method. Copyright © 2009 John Wiley and Sons Asia Pte Ltd and Chinese Automatic Control Society  相似文献

In this paper we study the linear quadratic regulation (LQR) problem for discrete‐time systems with time‐varying delay in the control input channel. We assume that the time‐varying delay is of a known upper bound, then the LQR problem is transformed into the optimal control problem for systems with multiple input channels, each of which has single constant delay. The optimal controller is derived by establishing a duality between the LQR and a smoothing estimation for an associated system with a multiple delayed measurement. We give sufficient conditions for the exponential stability of a class of perturbed time‐varying difference equations with multiple delays and slowly varying coefficients. Under appropriate growth conditions on the perturbations, combined with the ‘freezing’ technique, we establish explicit conditions for global exponential stability. This paper is concerned with the delay‐dependent stability and robust stability for uncertain systems with time‐varying delay. Through constructing an appropriate type of Lyapunov‐Krasovskii functional and proving its positive definiteness, using slack matrices and a convex combination condition, the delay‐dependent stability criteria, which are less conservative, are derived in terms of linear matrix inequalities. Numerical examples are also given to illustrate the improvement on the conservatism of the delay bound over some existing results. This paper focuses on the adaptive observer design for nonlinear discrete‐time MIMO systems with unknown time‐delay and nonlinear dynamics. The delayed states involved in the system are arguments of a nonlinear function and only the estimated delay is utilized. By constructing an appropriate Lyapunov–Krasovskii function, the delay estimation error is considered in the observer parameter design. The proposed method is then extended to the system with a nonlinear output measurement equation and the delayed dynamics. With the help of a high‐order neural network (HONN), the requirement for a precise system model, the linear‐in‐the‐parameters (LIP) assumption of the delayed states, the Lipschitz or norm‐boundedness assumption of unknown nonlinearities are removed. A novel converse Lyapunov technical lemma is also developed and used to prove the uniform ultimate boundedness of the proposed observer. The effectiveness of the proposed results is verified by simulations. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

In this paper, the problems of the input‐to‐state stability (ISS), the integral input‐to‐state stability (iISS), the stochastic input‐to‐state stability (SISS) and the eλt(λ>0)‐weighted input‐to‐state stability (eλt‐ISS) are investigated for nonlinear time‐varying impulsive stochastic delay systems with Markovian switching. We propose one unified criterion for the stabilizing impulse and the destabilizing impulse to guarantee the ISS, iISS, SISS and eλt‐ISS for such systems. We verify that when the upper bound of the average impulsive interval is given, the stabilizing impulsive effect can stabilize the systems without ISS. We also show that the destabilizing impulsive signal with a given lower bound of the average impulsive interval can preserve the ISS of the systems. In addition, one criterion for guaranteeing the ISS of nonlinear time‐varying stochastic hybrid systems under no impulsive effect is derived. Two examples including one coupled dynamic systems model subject to external random perturbation of the continuous input and impulsive input disturbances are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the theoretic results developed.  相似文献

In this paper, sufficient conditions are provided for the stability of switched retarded and neutral time‐delay systems with polytopic‐type uncertainties. It is assumed that the delay in the system dynamics is time‐varying and bounded. Parameter‐dependent Lyapunov functionals are employed to obtain criteria for the exponential stability of the system in the form of linear matrix inequality (LMI). Free‐weighting matrices are then provided to express the relationship between the system variables and the terms in the Leibniz–Newton formula. Numerical examples are presented to show the effectiveness of the results. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper deals with the problem of obtaining delay‐dependent stability conditions and L2‐gain analysis for a class of nonlinear time‐delay systems with norm‐bounded and possibly time‐varying uncertainties. No restrictions on the derivative of the time‐varying delay are imposed, though lower and upper bounds of the delay interval are assumed to be known. A Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional approach is proposed to derive novel delay‐dependent stability conditions which are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). To reduce conservatism, the work exploits the idea of splitting the delay interval in multiple regions, so that specific conditions can be imposed to a unique functional in the different regions. This improves the computed bounds for certain delay‐dependent integral terms, providing less conservative LMI conditions. Examples are provided to demonstrate the reduced conservatism with respect to the available results in the literature. Copyright © 2010 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with robust quantized output feedback control problems for uncertain discrete‐time systems with time‐varying delay and saturation nonlinearity. It is assumed that the quantizer is of the saturating type. A new framework for the local boundedness stabilization of quantized feedback systems is developed. Attention is focused on finding a quantized static output feedback controller such that all trajectories of the resulting closed‐loop system starting from an admissible initial basin converge to a bounded region strictly within the initial basin. A quantized feedback controller is proposed, which comprises output feedback and the exogenous signal parts. Simulation examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness and advantage of the proposed methods. Copyright © 2014 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The problem of delay‐dependent robust stabilization for uncertain singular discrete‐time systems with Markovian jumping parameters and time‐varying delay is investigated. In terms of free‐weighting‐matrix approach and linear matrix inequalities, a delay‐dependent condition is presented to ensure a singular discrete‐time system to be regular, causal and stochastically stable based on which the stability analysis and robust stabilization problem are studied. An explicit expression for the desired state‐feedback controller is also given. Some numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach. The issue of exponential stability analysis of continuous‐time switched singular systems consisting of a family of stable and unstable subsystems with time‐varying delay is investigated in this paper. It is very difficult to analyze the stability of such systems because of the existence of time‐delay and unstable subsystems. In this regard, on the basis of the free‐weighting matrix approach, by constructing the new Lyapunov‐like Krasovskii functional, and using the average dwell‐time approach, delay‐dependent sufficient conditions are derived and formulated in terms of LMIs to check the exponential stability of such systems. This paper also highlights the relationship between the average dwell‐time of the switched singular time‐delay system, its stability, exponential convergence rate of differential states, and algebraic states. Finally, a numerical example is given to confirm the analytical results and illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed strategy. Copyright © 2012 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献
