A new microwave photonic filter that realizes a high-resolution bandpass filter response with coherence-free operation and without the limitations of phase-induced intensity noise is presented in this paper. It is based on a frequency-shifting recirculating delay line, which can simultaneously achieve a multitap, high-resolution filter and a very large suppression of noise, while also enabling the use of a conventional narrow-linewidth laser source without suffering from coherent interference effects. Experimental results demonstrate a filter $Q$ value of 200 and an SNR improvement of 40.3 dB compared to conventional recirculating delay line structures.   相似文献

A new technique for tuning the passband frequency of a microwave photonic bandpass filter is presented. It is based on controlling the polarization state of the signal in an amplified recirculating delay line loop with a polarizer at the output. A fixed wavelength laser can be used as an optical source. The filter has a sharp passband, which can be tuned continuously while maintaining the same passband width. Experimental results demonstrate continuous tuning capability of the high-resolution bandpass filter.  相似文献

A new structure that can realize widely tunable microwave photonic notch filtering, high free spectral range (FSR), and coherence-free operation simultaneously, is presented. It is based on a Sagnac loop interferometer that comprises an off-loop-center electroabsorption modulator, and a wavelength dependent delay in the Sagnac loop. The structure is simple, and has no coherent interference or phase induced intensity noise limitations. Experimental results demonstrate both continuous and discrete widely tunable notch filters, high frequency and high FSR, and coherence-free low-noise operation with very deep notches in excess of 40 dB.  相似文献

A simple switchable coherence-free microwave photonic filter configuration is presented. It is based on a pair of intensity modulators modulating an optical signal at different times. The design is free from the velocity mismatch problem of an electrooptic modulator. This all-optical structure realizes two-tap filters with the capability of switching the sign of one of the taps to positive or negative. The sign depends on whether the linear slopes of the transfer functions of the two intensity modulators at their respective bias points are the same or opposite. The case of a phase shift between the two radio-frequency drive signals is also considered. Measured results confirm the theoretical expressions and demonstrate a stable switchable notch filter response.  相似文献

Theoretical and experimental investigations on a double coupler amplified recirculating delay line (ARDL) microwave photonic bandpass filter are presented. These show that the system involves both coherent and incoherent summation of optical signals. This enables a higher order filter transfer function to be realized, which results in a high-performance frequency response that cannot be achieved by the conventional single coupler ARDL structure. Experimental results are presented that demonstrate a sharp, high skirt selectivity and high stopband rejection level bandpass filter response.  相似文献

A novel photonic microwave bandpass filter with negative coefficients implemented using a polarization modulator (PolM) is proposed and experimentally demonstrated. In the proposed filter, a lightwave from a tunable laser source (TLS) is sent to a PolM, with the incident lightwave adjusted to have its polarization direction aligned at an angle of plusmn45deg to the principal axes of the PolM. A microwave signal is applied to the PolM through its RF port. Thanks to the polarization modulation in the PolM, two complementary microwave signals with identical amplitudes carried by two optical carriers with orthogonal polarizations are generated. The two complementary optical microwave signals are then sent to an optical delay line consisting of one section or two sections of polarization-maintaining fiber (PMF), with the polarization directions aligned with the fast and slow axes of the PMF. 基于Add-Drop型氮化硅微环滤波器,利用光学单边带调制和光载波分离的方法,实现可重构微波光子带通滤波器。滤波器带宽和带外抑制比分别达到726 MHz和37.0dB。并且通过改变光载波波长实现1.64~23.41GHz的滤波器频率调谐;通过调节微环耦合系数实现0.683~2.246GHz的滤波器带宽调谐,在带宽调谐范围内带外抑制比大于26dB。  相似文献

A novel design of a photonic microwave filter with infinite impulse response is presented and demonstrated experimentally, ft overcomes the problems due to optical coherence. The design exhibits substantial flexibility, permitting easy and continuous tunability of the free spectral range. In particular, when a Mach-Zehnder modulator is used in the filter, the passband of the filter response can be changed to stopband and vice versa. The design also provides scope for cascading more stages. Theoretical analysis and measured results are presented, showing a very good match between them.  相似文献

基于双π型电磁干扰滤波器(EMIF)的电路结构,借鉴集成电路超微细加工技术,提出了与等平面超大规模集成电路工艺完全兼容的一种新型三维集成射频干扰滤波器电路;简要介绍了该电路的绝缘层上金属薄膜三维集成制造方法,建立了电路传递函数模型,并进行了简要分析。该电路可用于制作适合未来电子系统高频化、小型化、轻型化和片式化信号处理的RF片上系统。  相似文献

利用开路环终端的内部电容耦合效应,提出一种结构紧凑,具有小型化和良好的二阶和三阶谐波抑制能力的开路环谐振器窄带带通滤波器.分析了开路环终端电容内部耦合结构变化对带通滤波器谐波抑制特性的影响,并利用上述结构仿真和设计了一个中心频率为1.5 GHz的带通滤波器,模拟结果与实验结果吻合良好,验证了滤波器的设计思想.  相似文献

采用变形的阶梯阻抗谐振器(SIR)设计了一款小型化、高性能新型宽带带通滤波器.通过对经典的SIR进行弯折,在高阻抗线之间引入交叉耦合构成交叉耦合多模谐振器.该谐振器具有与经典SIR相同的谐振模式,由前两个谐振模式构成通带,并且在上下阻带产生两对对称的传输零点.该带通滤波器结构紧凑、带内差损非常小,同时由于带外传输零点的存在,一阶杂散得到有效抑制,带外特性明显改善.  相似文献

针对超宽带(UWB)系统易受无线网络信号干扰及传统的超宽带带通滤波器阻带较窄,不能有效抑制谐波的问题,提出了一种新型的UWB带通滤波器,该滤波器由两级交指梳状耦合谐振器级联组成,通过增加耦合指的个数来实现陷波特性,然后在两个交指谐振器的中间添加一个槽线锥形谐振器,使该滤波器具有抑制高次谐波特性,达到拓宽高阻带的效果,同时由于槽线谐振器的加入,陷波频段的抑制电平进一步提高.实验结果证明,所设计的滤波器既能保证3.1~10.6 GHz频段内的插入损耗小于3 dB,陷波频段为5.7~5.8 GHz,陷波频段的抑制电平高达-43 dB,同时又能拓宽高频阻带.  相似文献

介绍了一种新型的加载电容型毫米波微带带通滤波器。对这种滤波器进行了分析,推导出了滤波器中所用谐振单元间的耦合系数。该滤波器通过加载电容而出现慢波效应,使得在不改变电路性能的情况下,减小了电路尺寸。同时由于电路中加载电容形成的慢波效应而出现了带阻效应,因此对谐波有很好的抑制作用。利用高频分析软件CST仿真分析并设计了这种新型的加载电容型毫米波微带带通滤波器,实验结果与设计曲线结果相符。  相似文献

在同一基片上平行放置三个相同的SPUDT滤波器,这三个滤波器的中心距彼此相差λ/3。通过并联获得了在给定带宽下比一般滤波器更短的长度,并在匹配的条件下,具有更小的转换损耗和输入输出反射。报道了采用此方法制作的中心频率100MHz,3dB带宽0.5MHz的滤波器,其插损为15dB,长度仅为5.5mm。  相似文献
