The use of wave generators to intensify the processes of mixing and metering model energy condensed systems is studied. The urgency of this problem is specified by the imperfection of the traditional mixers and metering devices of the system components. The mathematical modeling of the wave action is performed for some model technological processes of processing and metering systems. Scheduling and sequencing compounds on banbury mixers is a daily production planning function in a tyre company. The current scheduling procedures are based on experience. A number of factors, such as, capacity, cost, time, speed, set-up of mixers, compound changeovers, density and demand of compound, have to be considered during planning. In this paper, we propose a two-stage approach to this problem. This approach can be easily computerised to aid the personnel in the planning function. An example, considering actual data obtained from the company, is used to illustrate the approach. The motivation of this work is to propose a special dough mixer with chaotic advection to take advantage of high performance mixing in chaotic mixers and to develop typical dough mixers. In order to prevent common difficulties encountered due to the dynamic mesh, a mathematical model was employed based on neglecting the transient term of the momentum equation using conceptual features from creeping flow. Then, the numerical simulation was performed using the bird Carreau dough model of Dhanasekharan. The mathematical model was further developed to complete the numerical procedure in order to find the required material point trajectories for assessing the presence of chaotic advection in the proposed mixer. In this approach, Lyapunov exponents were also calculated which quantify the exponential divergence of the initially close state-space trajectories and identify chaotic behavior of the system as well. The results indicated that the flow field was a combination of both chaotic and non-chaotic zones. 相似文献

twist, and re-combine the mixing fluid. The number of elements and their shape required in any application depend on the complexity
of the mixing process. The objectives of this study are to develop new motionless mixers and to perform the experimental investigation
of pressure drop in order to evaluate the performance of the new ones. Glycerin is used as a mixing fluid. Pressure drop is
measured using a hydraulic manometer and correlations of friction factor are proposed as a function of Re. The friction factors
of Sulzer SMX mixer are in qualitative good agreement with the published data. On the average, the friction factors of SSC
