研究了航空多角度偏振辐射计的辐射定标方法,以消除其自身引入的偏振效应,提高偏振辐射计的测量精度.首先,根据引入仪器偏振效应的主要因素推导了含定标系数的仪器探测方程,由仪器在0°和90°两个状态下对同一信号的探测方程求解了定标系数表达式,并设计了仪器分别处于两个状态下获取信号、求解定标系数的定标方法.最后,分别针对非偏振光源和完全线偏振光源的测试数据求解了所有的定标系数,使用可调偏振度光源验证了偏振定标结果.结果显示,该仪器偏振测量精度不低于o.5%,满足仪器精度指标要求.  相似文献

The development and performance of a high-precision polarimeter for the polarization analysis in the soft x-ray region is presented. This versatile, high-vacuum compatible instrument is supported on a hexapod to simplify the alignment with a resolution less than 5 μrad, and can be moved with its own independent control system easily between different beamlines and synchrotron facilities. The polarimeter can also be used for the characterization of reflection and transmission properties of optical elements. A W/B(4)C multilayer phase retarder was used to characterize the polarization state up to 1200 eV. A fast and accurate alignment procedure was developed, and complete polarization analysis of the APPLE II undulator at 712 eV has been performed.  相似文献

A newly designed scanning electron microscope with polarization analysis (SEMPA or spin-SEM) for the acquisition of magnetic images is presented. Core component is the spin detector, based on the scattering of low-energy electrons at a W(100) surface in ultrahigh vacuum. The instrument has been optimized with respect to ease of handling and efficiency. The operation and performance of a general low-energy electron diffraction (LEED) detector for SEMPA have been modeled in order to find the optimum operating parameters and to predict the obtainable image asymmetry. Based on the energy dependence of the secondary electron polarization and intensity, the detector output is simulated. For our instrument with optimized performance we demonstrate experimentally 8.6% polarization asymmetry in the domain structure of an iron whisker. This corresponds to 17.2% image contrast, in excellent agreement with the predicted simulated value. A contrast to noise ratio of 27 is achieved at 5 ms acquisition time per pixel.  相似文献

A T-format, photon-counting polarization photometer was constructed to facilitate precise polarization measurements at low signal-to-noise ratios. The instrument optics and electronics are described. Several examples of the instrument's performance are given, including measurements on picomolar fluorescein solutions at low excitation resolution and the excitation polarization spectrum of indole (2 x 10(-4)M) at a resolution of 5 A.  相似文献

An instrument has been developed to determine the reflection efficiency and scatter characteristics of optical samples at x-ray wavelengths from 1.5 to 113 A. The reflectometer operates in an oil-free vacuum chamber and measures the reflection efficiency and scatter characteristics as a function of the angle of incidence. The reflection efficiency is given for lambda=8.34 A incident on a fused silica sample finished to a flatness of lambda/10. The experimental reflection efficiency is compared to the theoretical data. The scatter curves are given for the direct x-ray beam and for the beam reflected from the fused silica sample at theta=50 arc minutes. The full-width-at-half-maximum (FWHM) resolution of the instrument is approximately 13 arc seconds as determined by a least-squares smoothing of the experimental data.  相似文献

A new custom-built duo spectrometer has been commissioned for fast localized Doppler measurements of plasma ions in the Madison Symmetric Torus. The instrument combines very high optical throughput (transmission efficiency of 6% and etendue of 0.80 mm(2) sr divided into two simultaneous measurements) with good resolution (lambda/Deltalambda=5600). The design is a double grating variant of the Czerny-Turner layout and has been carefully optimized for fast (100 kHz) measurements of the C VI line at 343.4 nm. The instrument is currently being applied for high speed charge exchange recombination spectroscopy measurements.  相似文献

We present a quantitative scheme for full-field polarization rotating fluorescence microscopy. A quarter-wave plate, in combination with a liquid crystal variable retarder, provides a tunable method to rotate polarization states of light prior to its being coupled into a fluorescence microscope. A calibration of the polarization properties of the incident light is performed in order to correct for elliptical polarization states. This calibration allows the response of the sample to linear polarization states of light to be recovered. Three known polarization states of light can be used to determine the average fluorescent dipole orientations in the presence of a spatially varying dc offset or background polarization-invariant fluorescence signal. To demonstrate the capabilities of this device, we measured a series of full-field fluorescence polarization images from fluorescent analogs incorporated in the lipid membrane of Burkitts lymphoma CA46 cells. The fluorescent lipid-like analogs used in this study are molecules that are labeled by either a DiI (1,1(')-Dioctadecyl 3,3,3('),3(')-Tetramethylindocarbocyanine) fluorophore in its head group or a Bodipy (4,4-difluoro-4-bora-3a,4a-diaza-s-indacene) molecule in its acyl chain. A spatially varying contrast in the normalized amplitude was observed on the cell surface, where the orientation of the DiI molecules is tangential to the cell membrane. The internally labeled cellular structures showed zero response to changes in linear polarization, and the net linear polarization amplitude for these regions was zero. This instrument provides a low cost calibrated method that may be coupled to existing fluorescence microscopes to perform investigations of cellular processes that involve a change in molecular orientations.  相似文献

A new instrument to analyze the chemical composition of dust particles in situ in space has been developed. The large target area ( approximately 0.2 m(2)) makes this instrument well suited for detecting a statistically significant number of interstellar dust grains or other dust particles with a low flux. The device is a reflectron-type time-of-flight mass spectrometer that uses only flat electrodes for the generation of the parabolic potential. The instrument analyzes the ions from the impact generated plasma due to hypervelocity dust impacts onto a solid target surface. The SIMION ion optics software package is used to investigate different potential field configurations and optimize the mass resolution and focusing of the ions. The cylindrically symmetric instrument operates with six ring electrodes and six annular electrodes biased to different potentials to create the potential distribution of the reflectron. The laboratory model of the instrument has been fabricated and tested. Hypervelocity dust impacts are simulated by laser ablation using a frequency doubled Nd:YAG laser with approximately 8 ns pulse length. The experimental data show typical mass resolution m/Deltam approximately 200.  相似文献

报道了实验室研制的电喷雾离子源 ,具有射频四极杆接口的高分辨飞行时间质谱 (ESI- QQQ- TOFMS)仪器。该仪器具有以下特点 :在离子调制区使用三组四极杆 ,有效地减少离子束的空间分散和能量分散 ;采用正负双脉冲推斥和离子垂直引入方式 ;经过优化设计的二级有网反射器 ;新颖的 MCP安装方法。经初步调试 ,该仪器的分辨本领已优于 1 0 ,0 0 0 ,质量测定精度优于 1 0× 1 0 - 6 。该仪器于 2 0 0 2年 6月通过了国家教育部科技成果鉴定 [鉴字 [教 2 0 0 2 ]第 0 0 8号 ],其主要性能指标已经达到了国际先进水平  相似文献

研究并设计实现了微形貌测量白光扫描干涉仪系统和光纤偏振耦合点监测白光扫描干涉仪系统.前者采用Mirau相移干涉形式,用压电陶瓷传感器PZT作移项器,主要用于微形貌测量,精度可达nm量级.后者采用光路补偿白光Michelson干涉形式,用格兰棱镜对偏振态进行调整控制,用移动参考臂来补偿由于耦合点所造成的光程差,光纤寄生偏振耦合测试仪的空间分辨率达到50mm,测量范围达到1km,探测灵敏度不小于-80dB(耦合模式与主模式的功率比).  相似文献

Results of upgrading of MAC-1 setup components are described. It is shown that the optimum conditions for detection of low-intensity spectral lines are ensured by the high sensitivity of the instrument to gradations of photoemulsion blackening and by the high resolution of the optoelectronic channel that forms the image of emulsion grains, in combination with the possibility of varying the spectrogram scanning modes, which has been provided by the upgrading. The upgrading of the instrument opens up new avenues for spectroscopy of internal conversion electrons if sufficient statistics is acquired in an experiment. The efficiency of the proposed procedures is demonstrated by the example of extraction of low-intensity K672.35 160Dy and K673.09 160Dy lines in a spectrogram of internal conversion electrons from erbium fractions.  相似文献

We demonstrate the use of a novel design of a photoelectron microscope in combination to an imaging energy filter for momentum resolved photoelectron detection. Together with a time resolved imaging detector, it is possible to combine spatial, momentum, energy, and time resolution of photoelectrons within the same instrument. The time resolution of this type of energy analyzer can be reduced to below 100 ps. The complete ARUPS pattern of a Cu(111) sample excited with He I, is imaged in parallel and energy resolved up to the photoelectron emission horizon. Excited with a mercury light source (h nu=4.9 eV), the Shockley surface state at the energy threshold is clearly imaged in k-space. Electron-electron interactions are observed in momentum space as a correlation hole in two-electron photoemission. With the high transmission and the time resolution of this instrument, possible new measurements are discussed: Time and polarization resolved ARUPS measurements, probing change of bandstructure due to chemical reaction, growth of films, or phase transitions, e.g., melting or martensitic transformations.  相似文献

A simplified procedure based on Mueller-matrix polarimetry has recently been reported as a method of retinal image improvement in a confocal ophthalmoscope [J. M. Bueno et al ., J. Opt. Soc. Am. A 24, 1337 (2007)]. Here, we have applied the technique to imaging static samples providing well-defined reflection properties. The method uses a generator of polarization states in the illumination pathway of a confocal scanning laser system. From the calculated four elements of the Mueller matrix of any sample and instrument combination, the best images defined by different metrics were constructed. For samples with specular, diffuse and mixed reflections, the best-constructed images showed an enhancement in both objective and subjective image quality compared to the original images and those obtained from frame averaging. This technique could improve microscopic imaging in many diverse fields, particularly in biomedical imaging.  相似文献

The scanning transmission electron microscope is of quite recent origin, and it is only in the last few years that it has been shown that this instrument is capable of giving the same high resolution as the conventional electron microscope. In this article we examine the conditions necessary for the achievement of high resolution and also the various modes of contrast which can be obtained from this instrument. Spectral (or multi-color) microscopy has the ability to detect the fluorescent light of biological specimens with a broad range of wavelengths. Currently, the acousto-optic tunable filter (AOTF) is widely used in spectral microscopy as a substitute for a multiple-dichroic mirror to divide excitation and emission signals while maintaining sufficient light efficiency. In addition, systems which utilize an AOTF have a very fast switching speed and high resolution for wavelength selection. In this paper, confocal-spectral microscopy is proposed with a particular spectrometer design with a wavelength-scanning galvano-mirror. This enables the detection of broadband (480-700 nm) fluorescence signals by a single point detector (photomultiplier tube) instead of a CCD pixel array. For this purpose, a number of optical elements were applicably designed. A prism is used to amplify the dispersion angle, and the design of the relay optics matches the signals to the diameter of the wavelength-scanning galvano-mirror. Also, a birefringent material known as calcite is used to offset the displacement error at the image plane depending on the polarization states. The proposed multi-color confocal microscopy with the unique detection body has many advantages in comparison with commercial devices. In terms of the detection method, it can be easily applied to other imaging modalities.  相似文献

Microcirculation is the generic name of vessels with internal diameter less than 100 microm of the circulatory system, whose main functions are tissue nutrition and oxygen supply. In microcirculatory studies, it is important to know the amount of oxyhemoglobin present in the blood and how fast it is moving. The present work describes improvements introduced in a classical hardware-based instrument that has usually been used to monitor blood flow velocity in the microcirculation of small animals. It consists of a virtual instrument that can be easily incorporated into existing hardware-based systems, contributing to reduce operator related biases and allowing digital processing and storage. The design and calibration of the modified instrument are described as well as in vitro and in vivo results obtained with electrical models and small animals, respectively. Results obtained in in vivo studies showed that this new system is able to detect a small reduction in blood flow velocity comparing arteries and arterioles (p <0.002) and a further reduction in capillaries (p<0.0001). A significant increase in velocity comparing capillaries and venules (p <0.001) and venules and veins (p <0.001) was also observed. These results are in close agreement with biophysical principles. Moreover, the improvements introduced in the device allowed us to clearly observe changes in blood flow introduced by a pharmacological intervention, suggesting that the system has enough temporal resolution to track these microcirculatory events. These results were also in close conformity to physiology, confirming the high scientific potential of the modified system and indicating that this instrument can also be useful for pharmacological evaluations.  相似文献

A miniature resonance absorption spectrometer is able to perform a routine monitoring in space of the line profile and intensity of the He i resonance line from the solar disk with a time resolution of about 1 min and a spectral resolution of 10(5). It consists of a predispersive spectrometer incorporating a helium gas absorption cell. The instrument has been designed to meet a small size and weight. It was tested on a rocket flight in June 1976. The construction, principles of operation, and laboratory calibration of the instrument are presented. Its capability to resolve details of the order of 0.3 pm FWHM and its sensitivity to the intensity of line wings three order of magnitudes fainter than the peak of the line have been established by laboratory investigation.  相似文献
