提出了一种基于FBG(光纤布拉格光栅)的新型双向传输可调谐光分插复用器,同时对该结构的复用解复用原理进行了阐述,通过Optisystem软件验证了结构设计和理论分析的可行性。仿真结果表明,下载波长的边模抑制比在20dB左右。这种器件具有灵活度高、器件利用率高等特点,在波分复用系统中两条线路互为冗余,提升了系统的容错性,有望在光网络中得到应用。 相似文献

This letter proposes a simple and flexible reconfigurable optical add-drop multiplexer (ROADM) based on parallel-stage configuration using Mach-Zehnder-based fiber gratings, 1/spl times/2 optical switches, and Y-model combiners. A vertically coupled InP-InGaAsP crossed waveguide optical add-drop multiplexer has been realized through the use of wafer bonding. Designed for signals in the 1550-nm range, this novel device requires only a single epitaxial growth and illustrates the use of vertical optical interconnects for the three dimensional routing of optical signals. We demonstrate a novel wavelength-division add/drop multiplexer employing fiber Bragg gratings and polarization beam splitters. A time-division add-drop multiplexer capable of high-extinction-ratio operation is presented both theoretically and experimentally. The approach used is based on time-to-frequency domain conversion of optical signals and relies upon the switching of linearly chirped optical pulses. By converting a 40-Gb/s optical time-division multiplexing (OTDM) signal to 4 /spl times/ 10-Gb/s wavelength-division multiplexing (WDM) channels and using fiber Bragg gratings for frequency-domain add-drop multiplexing, a timeslot suppression ratio in excess of 30 dB and error-free operation for the dropped, through, and added channels were achieved. A further stage of WDM-to-TDM signal conversion was used to map the resulting signal back into the time domain. Moreover, it is shown that it is straightforward to simultaneously operate on multiple channels by simply cascading gratings to make more complex filtering functions without the requirement for any further synchronization of the tributary channels. 相似文献

An integrated optical add-drop multiplexer (OADM), based on a symmetric coupler with a superimposed innovative grating, is proposed. The device has, theoretically, no backreflection at the input and add ports, and does not require a critical positioning of the grating, thus simplifying device fabrication and allowing thermal tuning.
