While quasi-2D perovskite is often used in inverted perovskite solar cells (PSCs) to improve the interfacial carrier transfer, the development of pure 2D perovskite with superior stability is rarely seen and the corresponding carrier-extraction kinetics remains unclear. Here, a variety of hexatomic ring cations including piperidine, pyridine, and cyclohexane are introduced to modify the perovskite/electron transport layer interface. The Dion–Jacobson phase 2D cladding (n = 1) based on 3-(aminomethyl) piperidinium is proved to form a coordinated energy landscape and homogeneous surface potential distribution, and effectively prolong the electron diffusion length (≈1.58 µm) and accelerate the hot-carrier extraction rate (2.5 times that of Control at 400 K). Furthermore, the quasi-2D treatment (n ≈ 3,4) demonstrated a slight escalation in short-circuit current, but failed to inhibit the interdiffusion of Ag, Pb, and I under illumination. Finally, one of the state-of-art power conversion efficiency (PCE) for MA-free inverted PSCs is achieved at 23.62% with increased open-circuit voltage (≈1.15 V) and fill factor (≈82.8%). Most importantly, 89% and 93.6% of initial PCE are retained after 720 h under 85 °C heating and 1000 h under maximum power point tracking, illustrating satisfactory thermal and operational stability with pure 2D perovskite capping layer.  相似文献

Compared with inverted 3D perovskite solar cell (PSCs), inverted quasi-2D PSCs have advantages in device stability, but the device efficiency is still lagging behind. Constructing polymer hole-transporting materials (HTMs) with passivation functions to improve the buried interface and crystallization properties of perovskite films is one of the effective strategies to improve the performance of inverted quasi-2D PSCs. Herein, two novel side-chain functionalized polymer HTMs containing methylthio-based passivation groups are designed, named PVCz-SMeTPA and PVCz-SMeDAD, for inverted quasi-2D PSCs. Benefited from the non-conjugated flexible backbone bearing functionalized side-chain groups, the polymer HTMs exhibit excellent film-forming properties, well-matched energy levels and improved charge mobility, which facilitates the charge extraction and transport between HTM and quasi-2D perovskite layer. More importantly, by introducing methylthio units, the polymer HTMs can enhance the contact and interactions with quasi-2D perovskite, and further passivating the buried interface defects and assisting the deposition of high-quality perovskite. Due to the suppressed interfacial non-radiative recombination, the inverted quasi-2D PSCs using PVCz-SMeTPA and PVCz-SMeDAD achieve impressive power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 21.41% and 20.63% with open-circuit voltage of 1.23 and 1.22 V, respectively. Furthermore, the PVCz-SMeTPA based inverted quasi-2D PSCs also exhibits negligible hysteresis and considerably improved thermal and long-term stability.  相似文献

Halide substitution in phenethylammonium spacer cations (X-PEA+, X  = F, Cl, Br) is a facile strategy to improve the performance of PEA based perovskite solar cells (PSCs). However, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of X-PEA based quasi-2D (Q-2D) PSCs is still unsatisfactory and the underlying mechanisms are in debate. Here, the in-depth study on the impact of halide substitution on the crystal orientation and multi-phase distribution in PEA based perovskite films are reported. The halide substitution eliminates n  =  1 2D perovskite and thus leads to the perpendicular crystal orientation. Furthermore, nucleation competition exists between small-n and large-n phases in PEA and X-PEA based perovskites. This gives rise to the orderly distribution of different n-phases in the PEA and F-PEA based films, and random distribution in Cl-PEA and Br-PEA based films. As a result, (F-PEA)2MA3Pb4I12 (MA = CH3NH3+, n = 4) based PSCs achieve a PCE of 18.10%, significantly higher than those of PEA (12.23%), Cl-PEA (7.93%) and Br-PEA (6.08%) based PSCs. Moreover, the F-PEA based devices exhibit remarkably improved stability compared to their 3D counterparts.  相似文献

Perovskite surface treatment with additives has been reported to improve charge extraction, stability, and/or surface passivation. In this study, treatment of a 3D perovskite ((FAPbI3)1−x(MAPbBr3)x) layer with a thienothiophene-based organic cation (TTMAI), synthesized in this work, is investigated. Detailed analyses reveal that a 2D (n = 1) or quasi-2D layer does not form on the PbI2-rich surface 3D perovskite. TTMAI-treated 3D perovskite solar cells (PSCs) fabricated in this study show improved fill factors, providing an increase in their power conversion efficiencies (PCEs) from 17% to over 20%. It is demonstrated that the enhancement is due to better hole extraction by drift-diffusion simulations. Furthermore, thanks to the hydrophobic nature of the TTMAI, PSC maintains 82% of its initial PCE under 15% humidity for over 380 h (the reference retains 38%). Additionally, semitransparent cells are demonstrated reaching 17.9% PCE with treated 3D perovskite, which is one of the highest reported efficiencies for double cationic 3D perovskites. Moreover, the semitransparent 3D PSC (TTMAI-treated) maintains 87% of its initial efficiency for six weeks (>1000 h) when kept in the dark at room temperature. These results clearly show that this study fills a critical void in perovskite research where highly efficient and stable semitransparent perovskite solar cells are scarce.  相似文献

The grain boundaries (GBs)/surface defects within perovskite film directly impede the further improvement of photoelectric conversion efficiency (PCE) and stability of planar perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Herein, 3D phytic acid (PA) and phytic acid dipotassium (PAD) with polydentate are explored to synchronously passivate the defects of perovskite absorber directly in multiple spatial directions. The strong electron-donating groups ( H2PO4) in the PA molecule afford six anchor sites to bind firmly with uncoordinated Pb2+ at the GBs/surface and modulate perovskite crystallization, thus enhancing the quality of perovskite film. Particularly, PAD containing an additional (K→PO) push–pull structure promotes the dominant coordination of phosphate group (PO) with Pb2+ and passivates halide anion defects due to the complexation of potassium ions (K+) with iodide ions (I-). Consequently, the PAD-complexed PSCs deliver a champion PCE of 23.18%, which is remarkably higher than that of the control device (19.94%). Meanwhile, PAD-complexed PSCs exhibit superior moisture and thermal stability, remaining 79% of their initial PCE after 1000 h under continuous illumination, while the control device remain only 48% of their PCE after 1000 h. This work provides important insights into designing multifunctional 3D passivators for the purpose of simultaneously enhancing the efficiency and stability of devices.  相似文献

3D organic–inorganic lead halide perovskites have shown great potential in efficient photovoltaic devices. However, the low stability of the 3D perovskite layer and random arrangement of the perovskite crystals hinder its commercialization road. Herein, a highly oriented 2D@3D ((AVA)2PbI4@MAPbI3) perovskite structure combining the advantages of both 2D and 3D perovskite is fabricated through an in situ route. The highest power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 18.0% is observed from a 2D@3D perovskite solar cell (PSC), and it also shows significantly enhanced device stability under both inert (90% of initial PCE for 32 d) and ambient conditions (72% of initial PCE for 20 d) without encapsulation. The high efficiency of 18.0% and nearly twofold improvement of device stability in ambient compared with pure 3D PSCs confirm that such 2D@3D perovskite structure is an effective strategy for high performance and increasing stability and thus will enable the timely commercialization of PSCs.  相似文献

All-inorganic perovskite solar cells (PSCs) have been the research focus due to their high thermal stability and proper band gap for tandem solar cells. However, their power conversion efficiency (PCE) is still lower than that of organic-inorganic hybrid PSCs. Herein, a sacrificing dye (Rhodamine B isothiocyanate, RBITC) is developed to regulate the growth of perovskite film by in situ release of ethylammonium cations, isothiocyanate anions and benzoic acid molecules upon annealing and illumination. The ethylammonium cations can efficiently passivate surface defects. The isothiocyanate anions incorporate with uncoordinated Pb to regulate the crystallization process. The benzoic acid molecules facilitate the nucleation of the perovskite crystals. Especially, the illumination can accelerate the release of these beneficial ions/molecules to improve the quality of perovskite films further. After optimization with RBITC, a high open circuit voltage (VOC) of 1.24 V and a champion PCE of 20.95% are obtained, which are among the highest Voc and PCE values of CsPbI3 PSCs. Accordingly, the operational stability of the PSC devices is significantly improved. The results provide an efficient chemical strategy to regulate the formation of perovskite films in whole crystallization process for high performance all-inorganic PSCs.  相似文献

Planar n–i–p carbon perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with a hole transport layer that can be fabricated at low temperatures at low-cost exhibit great potential for large-scale manufacturing. Moreover, 2D perovskites have attracted considerable attention owing to their higher stability. In this work, scalable and highly efficient fully printed large-area carbon electrode-based 2D perovskite modules are reported through the insertion of a thin naphthaleneimide derivative (CATNI)-based interfacial layer between tin (IV) oxide and the perovskite layer. The results show that this facilitates the formation of the interfacial contact, suppresses energy losses, and substantially improves the performance parameters of the PSCs, especially their VOC value. A significantly enhanced VOC of 1.13 V is achieved resulting in the device PCE value reaching over 18%, which is one of the highest reported for fully printed PSCs so far. It is found that with the deployment of this CATNI-based interfacial layer, a more efficient carrier extraction is achieved. This ultimately contributed to enhanced spectral response as well as improved VOC for these carbon electrodes based on fully printed devices. Finally, the carbon-perovskite solar modules (carbon-PSMs) are fabricated on ITO glass substrates with dimensions of 5.0 × 5.0 cm. These prepared modules exhibited outstanding photovoltaic performance with the highest PCE value of over 14.6%.  相似文献

Regulating the electron transport layer (ETL) has been an effective way to promote the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of perovskite solar cells (PSCs) as well as suppress their hysteresis. Herein, the SnO2 ETL using a cost-effective modification material rubidium fluoride (RbF) is modified in two methods: 1) adding RbF into SnO2 colloidal dispersion, F and Sn have a strong interaction, confirmed via X-ray photoelectron spectra and density functional theory results, contributing to the improved electron mobility of SnO2; 2) depositing RbF at the SnO2/perovskite interface, Rb+ cations actively escape into the interstitial sites of the perovskite lattice to inhibit ions migration and reduce non-radiative recombination, which dedicates to the improved open-circuit voltage (Voc) for the PSCs with suppressed hysteresis. In addition, double-sided passivated PSCs, RbF on the SnO2 surface, and p-methoxyphenethylammonium iodide on the perovskite surface, produces an outstanding PCE of 23.38% with a Voc of 1.213 V, corresponding to an extremely small Voc deficit of 0.347 V.  相似文献

Efficient and stable wide bandgap (WBG) perovskite solar cells (PSCs) are imperative for fabricating superior tandem devices. However, small crystal grains and light-induced phase segregation of WBG perovskite result in large open-circuit voltage (VOC) deficits, critically impeding the development of the related devices. Herein, the effective functional groups of Lewis-base trans-Ferulic acid (t-FA) are employed to release the residual microstrain in the perovskite lattice. Larger perovskite crystals are formed by strengthening the interaction between the perovskite solute and solution. The lattice structure is stabilized to suppress light-induced halide segregation. Finally, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the optimized device with a bandgap of ≈1.77 eV is increased from 17.33% to 19.31% with the enhancement of VOC. Moreover, replacing a mixture of MeO-2PACZ and Me-4PACZ as the hole transporting layer (HTL), the PCE further lifts to 19.9% and VOC is 1.32 V, one of the highest performances reported for WBG PSCs, especially for devices prepared entirely by solution spin-coating. Therefore, this study provides a practicable alternative for realizing efficient WBG PSCs, which can contribute to the growth of perovskite-based tandem devices.  相似文献

The interface energetics-modification plays an important role in improving the power conversion efficiency (PCE) among the perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Considering the low carrier mobility caused by defects in PSCs, a double-layer modification engineering strategy is adopted to introduce the “spiderman” NOBF4 (nitrosonium tetrafluoroborate) between tin dioxide (SnO2 and perovskite layers. NO+, as the interfacial bonding layer, can passivate the oxygen vacancy in SnO2, while BF4 can optimize the defects in the bulk of perovskite. This conclusion is confirmed by theoretical calculation and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The synergistic effect of NO+ and BF4 distinctly heightens the carrier extraction efficiency, and the PCE of PSCs is 24.04% with a fill factor (FF) of 82.98% and long-term stability. This study underlines the effectiveness of multifunctional additives in improving interface contact and enhancing PCE of PSCs.  相似文献

Sn-based perovskite material has been selected as a strong contender for perovskite solar cells (PSCs) application compared with Pb-based perovskite, due to its more suitable bandgap and excellent optoelectronic characteristics. However, the poor quality of Sn-based perovskite film and the oxidation of Sn2+ still lead to the unsatisfactory efficiency and instability of PSCs. In our work, a type of ligand “Trifluoroethylamine iodide (3FEAI)” was developed to achieve the crystallization regulation of FASnI3 perovskite films, which could effectively improve the film quality while restricting the film defects. Moreover, it is found that the short-chain 3FEAI exhibited the better assistance of charge transport effect compared with the conventional ligand PEAI, which further contributed to the efficiency of PSCs. At last, with the introduction of 3FEAI, the prepared device shows the considerable efficiency (9.34%) and long-term stability (~10% PCE loss after 500 h of aging).  相似文献

High density of defects at interface severely affects the performance of perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Herein, cobalt (II) hexafluoro-2,4-pentanedionat (CoFAc), a hinge-type fluorine-rich complex, is introduced onto the surface of formamidinium cesium lead iodide (FACsPbI3) film to address the issues of perovskite/Spiro-OMeTAD interface. The existence of CoFAc passivates both organic cation and halide anion vacancies by establishing powerful hydrogen bonds with HC(NH2)2+ (FA+) and strong ionic bonds with Pb2+ in perovskite films. In addition, CoFAc serves as a connecting link to enhance interfacial hole-transport kinetics via interacting with Spiro-OMeTAD. Consequently, FACsPbI3 PSCs with CoFAc modification display a champion power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 24.64% with a charming open-circuit voltage (VOC) of 1.191 V, which is the record VOC among all the reported organic-inorganic hybrid PSCs with TiO2 as electron transport layer. Furthermore, CoFAc-modified devices exhibit an outstanding long-term stability, which can maintain 95% of their initial PCEs after exposure to ambient atmosphere for 1500 h without any encapsulation.  相似文献

While there is promising achievement in terms of the power conversion efficiency (PCE) of perovskite solar cells (PSCs), long-term stability has been considered the main obstacle for their practical application. In this work, the authors demonstrate the small monomer 2-(dimethylamino) ethyl methacrylate (DMAEMA) with unsaturated carboxylic acid ester bond in the antisolvent for perovskite formation to improve the PCE and stability. The results show that DMAEMA is self-polymerized and uniformly distributed in the film, contributing to the improved crystallinity of the perovskites. Equally important, it is found that there are newly established interactions of Pb2+ and DMAEMA, and iodine and ternary amine between DMAEMA and perovskites, which improves the uniformity of the lead (II) iodide vertical distribution along with the films and thus phase stability, as well as largely decreases defects density in the film. Overall, the inverted PSCs with DMAEMA exhibit a open-circuit voltage of 1.10 V, short-circuit current of 23.86 mA cm?2, fill factor of 0.82, and finally PCE reaches 21.52%. Meanwhile, the PSC stability is significantly improved due to the inhibition of the formation of iodine, reduction of the uncoordinated Pb2+, and suppression of phase segregation.  相似文献

Tin-based perovskite solar cells (TPSCs) have become a star candidate in lead-free perovskite cells due to their excellent optoelectronic properties and low toxicity. However, there are a lot of problems such as uncontrollable crystallizationprocess, easy oxidation of Sn2+ and high defect density have not been completely resolved in TPSCs. Here, the thiourea (TU) and amidine thiourea (ASU) are added into the perovskite precursor to regulate the microstructure, inhibit the oxidation of Sn2+ and promote charge transfer. The characterization results demonstrate that the TU additive can not only improve the micrograph, crystallinity and antioxidant, but also significantly induce recrystallization and passivate trap states. Thus, the TPSCs with TU (TU-modified TPSCs) show a significantly higher power conversion efficienc (PCE) and better stability than those of the TPSCs with ASU (ASU-modified PSCs) and reference TPSCs. After stored in N2 atmosphere for 8 months, the unencapsulated TU-modified PSCs achieve a champion PCE of 10.9% with an open-circuit voltage of 0.79 V. Furthermore, the unsealed TU-modified PSCs can maintain 115% of its initial efficiency after stored in N2 atmosphere for one year. This is the longest lifetime of unencapsulated pure TPSCs in N2 atmosphere.  相似文献

Surface defects cause non-radiative charge recombination and reduce the photovoltaic performance of perovskite solar cells (PSCs), thus effective passivation of defects has become a crucial method for achieving efficient and stable devices. Organic ammonium halides have been widely used for perovskite surface passivation, due to their simple preparation, lattice matching with perovskite, and high defects passivation ability. Herein, a surface passivator 2,4,6-trimethylbenzenaminium iodide (TMBAI) is employed as the interfacial layer between the spiro-OMeTAD and perovskite layer to modify the surface defect states. It is found that TMBAI treatment suppresses the nonradiative charge carrier recombination, resulting in a 60 mV increase of the open-circuit voltage (Voc) (from 1.11 to 1.17 V) and raises the fill factor from 76.3% to 80.3%. As a result, the TMBAI-based PSCs device demonstrates a power conversion efficiency (PCE) of 23.7%. Remarkably, PSCs with an aperture area of 1 square centimeter produce a PCE of 21.7% under standard AM1.5 G sunlight. The unencapsulated TMBAI-modified device retains 92.6% and 90.1% of the initial values after 1000 and 550 h under ambient conditions (humidity 55%–65%) and one-sun continuous illumination, respectively.  相似文献

2D perovskites have attracted extensive attention due to their excellent stability compared with 3D perovskites. However, the intrinsic hydrophilicity of introduced alkylammonium salts effects the humidity stability of 2D/3D perovskites. Devices based on longer chain alkylammonium salts show improvement in hydrophobicity but lower efficiency due to the poorer charge transport among various layers. To solve this issue, two hydrophobic short‐chain alkylammonium salts with halogen functional groups (2‐chloroethylamine, CEA+ and 2‐bromoethylamine, BEA+) are introduced into (Cs0.1FA0.9)Pb(I0.9Br0.1)3 3D perovskites to form 2D/3D perovskite structure, which achieve high‐quality perovskite films with better crystallization and morphology. The optimal 2D/3D perovskite solar cells (PSCs) with 5% CEA+ display a power conversion efficiency (PCE) as high as 20.08% under 1 sun irradiation. Because of the notable hydrophobicity of alkylammonium cations with halogen functional groups and the formed 2D/3D perovskite structure, the optimal PSCs exhibit superior moisture resistance and retain 92% initial PCE after aging at 50 ± 5% relative humidity for 2400 h. This work opens up a new direction for the design of new‐type 2D/3D PSCs with improved performance by employing proper alkylammonium salts with different functional groups.  相似文献

The hole transport material (HTM) free carbon based perovskite solar cells (C‐PSCs) are promising for its manufactural simplicity, but they currently suffer from low power conversion efficiencies (PCE) largely because of the voltage loss. Here, a new strategy to increase the PCE by incorporating an ultrathin ferroelectric oxide PbTiO3 layer between the electron transport material and the halide perovskite is reported. The resulting C‐PSCs have achieved PCEs up to 16.37%, which is the highest record for HTM‐free C‐PSCs to date, mainly ascribable to the ferroelectric layer enhanced open circuit voltage. Detail measurements and analysis show an enhanced built‐in potential in the C‐PSCs as well as suppression of the non‐radiative recombination due to the ferroelectric PbTiO3 layer incorporation, accounting for the boosted VOC and photovoltaic performance.  相似文献

1D perovskite materials are of significant interest to build a new class of nanostructures for electronic and optoelectronic applications. However, the study of colloidal perovskite nanowires (PNWs) lags far behind those of other established perovskite materials such as perovskite quantum dots and perovskite thin films. Herein, a dual-phase passivation strategy to synthesize all-inorganic PNWs with minimized surface defects is reported. The local phase transition from CsPbBr3 to CsPb2Br5 in PNWs increases the photoluminescence quantum yield, carrier lifetime, and water-resistivity, owing to the energetic and chemical passivation effect. In addition, these dual-phase PNWs are employed as an interfacial layer in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). The enhanced surface passivation results in an efficient carrier transfer in PSCs, which is a critical enabler to increase the power conversion efficiency (PCE) to 22.87%, while the device without PNWs exhibits a PCE of 20.74%. The proposed strategy provides a surface passivation platform in 1D perovskites, which can lead to the development of novel nanostructures for future optoelectronic devices.  相似文献

It is highly desirable for all-inorganic perovskite solar cells (PVSCs) to have reduced nonideal interfacial charge recombination in order to improve the performance. Although the construction of a 2D capping layer on 3D perovskite is an effective way to suppress interfacial nonradiative recombination, it is difficult to apply it to all-inorganic perovskites because of the resistance of Cs+ cesium ions in cation exchange reactions. To alleviate this problem, a simple approach using an ultra-thin 2D perovskite to terminate CsPbI3 grain boundaries (GBs) without damaging the original 3D perovskite is developed. The 2D perovskite at the GBs not only enhances the charge-carrier extraction and transport but also effectively suppresses nonradiative recombination. In addition, because the 2D perovskite can prevent the moisture and oxygen from penetrating into the GBs and at the same time suppress the ion migration, the 2D terminated CsPbI3 films exhibit significantly improved stability against humidity. Moreover, the devices without encapsulation can retain ≈81% of its initial power conversion efficiency (PCE) after being stored at 40 ± 5% relative humidity for 84 h. The 2D-based champion device exhibits a high PCE of 18.82% with a high open-circuit voltage of 1.16 V.  相似文献
