A new method was introduced to measure liquid entrainment fraction in gas–liquid two-phase upward annular flow in a vertical tube (i.d.=9.525 mm). In this method, a new liquid–gas separator was designed and the chemically-based titration method was used to effectively measure the entrainment fraction in real time. Experiments were conducted at low system pressure (∼1 atm), and relatively low gas and liquid superficial velocities (Vsg=25.8–45.5 m/s, and Vsl=0.15–0.30 m/s). Data analysis shows that the results are repeatable and occupy the range commonly seen in annular flow. The entrainment fraction was found to be under 7% for all the experimental set points. The repeatability of the test results and comparisons with previous entrainment data indicate that the new technique can perform as well as the film removal technique.  相似文献

The work presents a finite element model (FEM) of the equivalent von-Mises stress and displacements that are formed for the different ellipticity contact of an ellipsoid with a rigid flat. The material is modeled as elastic perfectly plastic and follows the von-Mises yield criterion. The smaller the ellipticity of the ellipsoid is, the larger the depth of the first yield point from the ellipsoid tip happens. The FEM produces contours for the normalized normal and radial displacement as functions of the different interference depths. The evolution of plastic region in the asperity tip for a sphere (ke=1) and an ellipsoid with different ellipticities (ke=12and15) is shown with increasing interferences. It is interesting to note the behavior of the evolution of the plastic region in the ellipsoid tip for different ellipticities, ke, is different. The developments of the plastic region on the contact surface are shown in more details in Fig. 7. When the dimensionless contact pressure is up to 2.5, the uniform contact pressure distribution is almost prevailing in the entire contact area. It can be observed clearly that the normalized contact pressure ascends slowly from the center to the edge of the contact area for a sphere (ke=1), almost has uniform distribution prevailing the entire contact area for an ellipsoid (ke=12), and descends slowly from the center to the edge of the contact area for an ellipsoid (ke=15).  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of finite-time H stability analysis of uncertain discrete-time Networked Control Systems (NCSs) with varying communication delays in a random fashion. Both measurement and actuation delays are modeled by two independent Bernoulli distributed white sequences. A dynamic output feedback controller is designed to realize finite time control for this class of NCSs with prescribed H performance level. An iterative algorithm is developed to compute the controller's parameters by means of the Cone Complementarity Linearization Method (CCLM). The validity and feasibility of the proposed stability criterion are confirmed via numerical simulation examples.  相似文献
