In this paper, the conditions ensuring existence, uniqueness, and global exponential stability of the equilibrium point of a class of neural networks with variable delays are studied. Without assuming global Lipschitz conditions on these activation functions, applying idea of vector Lyapunov function, the sufficient conditions for global exponential stability of neural networks are obtained.  相似文献

This paper presents new theoretical results on global exponential stability of recurrent neural networks with bounded activation functions and time-varying delays. The stability conditions depend on external inputs, connection weights, and time delays of recurrent neural networks. Using these results, the global exponential stability of recurrent neural networks can be derived, and the estimated location of the equilibrium point can be obtained. As typical representatives, the Hopfield neural network (HNN) and the cellular neural network (CNN) are examined in detail.  相似文献

In the current paper, a class of general neural networks with time-varying coefficients, reaction–diffusion terms, and general time delays is studied. Several sufficient conditions guaranteeing its global exponential stability and the existence of periodic solutions are obtained through analytic methods such as Lyapunov functional and Poincaré mapping. The obtained results assume no boundedness, monotonicity or differentiability of activation functions and can be applied within a broader range of neural networks. Among the presented conditions, some are independent of time delay and expressed in terms of system parameters, so easy to verify and of leading significance in applications. For illustration, an example is given.  相似文献

In this paper, we present the analytical results on the global exponential periodicity of a class of recurrent neural networks with oscillating parameters and time-varying delays. Sufficient conditions are derived for ascertaining the existence, uniqueness and global exponential periodicity of the oscillatory solution of such recurrent neural networks by using the comparison principle and mixed monotone operator method. The periodicity results extend or improve existing stability results for the class of recurrent neural networks with and without time delays.  相似文献

In this paper, we investigate the existence and global exponential stability of periodic solution for a general class of fuzzy Cohen–Grossberg bidirectional associative memory (BAM) neural networks with both time-varying and (finite or infinite) distributed delays and variable coefficients. Some novel sufficient conditions for ascertaining the existence, uniqueness, global attractivity and exponential stability of the periodic solution to the considered system are obtained by applying matrix theory, inequality analysis technique and contraction mapping principle. The results remove the usual assumption that the activation functions are bounded and/or continuously differentiable. It is believed that these results are significant and useful for the design and applications of fuzzy Cohen–Grossberg BAM neural networks. Moreover, an example is employed to illustrate the effectiveness and feasibility of the results obtained here.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with analysis problem for the global exponential stability of the Cohen–Grossberg neural networks with discrete delays and with distributed delays. We first prove the existence and uniqueness of the equilibrium point under mild conditions, assuming neither differentiability nor strict monotonicity for the activation function. Then, we employ Lyapunov functions to establish some sufficient conditions ensuring global exponential stability of equilibria for the Cohen–Grossberg neural networks with discrete delays and with distributed delays. Our results are not only presented in terms of system parameters and can be easily verified and also less restrictive than previously known criteria. A comparison between our results and the previous results admits that our results establish a new set of stability criteria for delayed neural networks.  相似文献

Exponential periodicity of continuous-time neural networks with delays is investigated. Without assuming the boundedness and differentiability of the activation functions, some new sufficient conditions ensuring existence and uniqueness of periodic solution for a general class of neural systems are obtained. Discrete-time analogue of the continuous-time system with periodic input is formulated and we study their dynamical characteristics. The exponential periodicity of the continuous-time system is preserved by the discrete-time analogue without any restriction imposed on the uniform discretization step-size.  相似文献

In this paper, the stability analysis issue of stochastic recurrent neural networks with unbounded time-varying delays is investigated. By the idea of Lyapunov function and the semi-martingale convergence theorem, both pth moment exponential stability and almost sure exponential stability are obtained. Moreover, the M-matrix technique is borrowed to make the results more applicable. Our criteria can be used not only in the case of bounded delay but also in the case of unbounded delay. Some earlier results are improved and generalized. An example is also given to demonstrate our results.  相似文献

Stability analysis of Cohen-Grossberg neural networks   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Without assuming boundedness and differentiability of the activation functions and any symmetry of interconnections, we employ Lyapunov functions to establish some sufficient conditions ensuring existence, uniqueness, global asymptotic stability, and even global exponential stability of equilibria for the Cohen-Grossberg neural networks with and without delays. Our results are not only presented in terms of system parameters and can be easily verified and also less restrictive than previously known criteria and can be applied to neural networks, including Hopfield neural networks, bidirectional association memory neural networks, and cellular neural networks.  相似文献

In this paper, the global exponential stability in Lagrange sense for continuous neutral type recurrent neural networks (NRNNs) with multiple time delays is studied. Three different types of activation functions are considered, including general bounded and two types of sigmoid activation functions. By constructing appropriate Lyapunov functions, some easily verifiable criteria for the ultimate boundedness and global exponential attractivity of NRNNs are obtained. These results can be applied to monostable and multistable neural networks as well as chaos control and chaos synchronization.  相似文献

This paper concerns the globally exponential stability in Lagrange sense for Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy Cohen-Grossberg BAM neural networks with time-varying delays. Based on the Lyapunov functional method and inequality techniques, two different types of activation functions which include both Lipschitz function and general activation functions are analyzed. Several sufficient conditions in linear matrix inequality form are derived to guarantee the Lagrange exponential stability of Cohen-Grossberg BAM neural networks with time-varying delays which are represented by T-S fuzzy models. Finally, simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.  相似文献

Some sufficient conditions for the global exponential stability of cellular neural networks with variable coefficients and time-varying delays are obtained by a method based on a delayed differential inequality. The method, which does not make use of Lyapunov functionals, is simple and effective for the stability analysis of cellular neural networks with variable coefficients and time-varying delays. Some previous results in the literature are shown to be special cases of our results.   相似文献

This paper is concerned with existence and global exponential stability of periodic solutions for a class of Cohen–Grossberg neural networks with bounded and unbounded delays. By the continuation theorem of coincidence degree theory and differential inequality techniques, we deduce some sufficient conditions ensuring existence as well as global exponential stability of periodic solution. These conditions in our results are milder and less restrictive than that of previous known criteria since the hypothesis of boundedness and differentiability on the activation function are dropped. The theoretical analysis are verified by numerical simulations.  相似文献

By employing time scale calculus theory, free weighting matrix method and linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, several delay-dependent sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure the existence, uniqueness and global exponential stability of the equilibrium point for the neural networks with both infinite distributed delays and general activation functions on time scales. Both continuous-time and discrete-time neural networks are described under the same framework by the reported method. Illustrated numerical examples are given to show the effectiveness of the theoretical analysis. It is noteworthy that the activation functions are assumed to be neither bounded nor monotone.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the exponential stability problem for a class of stochastic Cohen–Grossberg neural networks with discrete and unbounded distributed time delays. By applying the Jensen integral inequality and the generalized Jensen integral inequality, several improved delay-dependent criteria are developed to achieve the exponential stability in mean square in terms of linear matrix inequalities. It is established theoretically that two special cases of the obtained criteria are less conservative than some existing results but including fewer slack variables. As the present conditions involve fewer free weighting matrices, the computational burden is largely reduced. Three numerical examples are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the theoretical results.  相似文献
