Application of monodispersive anion exchangers in sorption and separation of Y^3＋ from Nd^3＋ and Sm^3＋ complexes with dcta

Rare earth complexes with trans-1,2-diaminocyclohexane-N,N,N ,N -tetraacetic acid （DCTA） of the Ln（dcta） type exhibited an unusual sequence of affinity on the polystyrene anion exchangers： pm^3＋〉Nd^3＋〉Sm^3＋〉Pr^3＋〉Ce^3＋〉Eu^3＋〉Gd^3＋〉La^3＋〉Sc^3＋〉Tb^3＋〉Dy^3＋〉 Ho^3＋〉Y^3＋〉Er^3＋〉Tm^3＋〉Yb3＋〉Lu^3＋[1]. Taking into account the position of Y^3＋, Sm^3＋, and Nd^3＋ in this affinity series, for the monodispersive polystyrene anion exchangers, Lewatit MonoPlus M 500, Lewatit MonoPlus M 600, Lewatit MonoPlus MP 500, Lewatit MonoPlus MP 64, and for the heterodispersive anion exchanger, Lewatit MP 62, the weight （Dg） and bed （Dv） distribution coefficients of these complexes and working ion exchange capacities （Cw） were determined. Based on these values, purifications of Y^3＋ from Nd^3＋ and Y^3＋ from Sm^3＋ in the macro-micro component system on these anion exchangers were studied. The application potential of this method was highlighted for the separation of Y^3＋ in the presence of Nd^3＋ and Sm^3＋. With 1 L of monodispersive and strongly basic polystyrene gel anion exchanger Lewatit MonoPlus M 500 in the acetate form, it is possible to obtain approximately 79 g Y2O3 purified from Nd2O3 and 70 g Y2O3 purified from Sm2O3 in the same process condition.     

Effect of CaO on Fluorine in the Decomposition of REFCO3

Influence of CaO on thermal decomposition of REFCO3 was studied. The results showed that CaO did not affect significantly the decomposition ratio of REFCO3. The XRD experiment showed that there was a great deal of CaF2 in the masting production, the gas chromatographic analysis on the gas of REFCO3 decomposed, and the 70% content of fluorine in the gas of REFCO3 added 15% CaO was reduced. CaO could absorb the fluorine from the decomposition of REFCO3, and the environmental pollution of the fluorine was greatly alleviated,

Properties of Rare Earth Oxides as Electrocatalysts for Chlorine Evolution in NaClKCl Smelts at 700℃

RE oxide and mixedoxide electrodes were prepared bythermal decomposition procedure.The effect of precursor, decomposition temperature and coatingtimes on oxide properties wasstudied. 稀土大磁致伸缩材料研究

本文采用丘克拉尔斯基法制备晶粒取向的（Ｔｂ０．２８Ｄｙ０．７２）Ｆｅ１．９５磁致伸缩材料,研究了材料的微观结构对磁致伸缩系数的影响。当（Ｔｂ０．２８Ｄｙ０．７２）Ｆｅｘ中ｘ＝１．９５时,有明显的压应力效应,在１０ＭＰａ、２００ｋＡ／ｍ时,磁致伸缩系数１５００×１０－６,当ｘ＝２时,由于出现ＲＦｅ３相,压应力效应随之减小。

Kondo effect on electrical properties of TmIn3

We presented results of electrical resistivity, magnetoresistivity and Seebek effect measurements done in the paramagnetic state of an antiferromagnetically ordering intermetallic compound TmIn₃. It was found that the magnetic part of the electrical resistivity showed maximum at 18 K and the lgT dependence in temperature range 20<T<100 K. The magnetoresistivity was negative. The transversal magnetoresistivity fulfilled the single-ion Kondo scaling for temperatures 2<(T+0.5 K)<28 K. Thermoelectricpower displayed a sharp minimum at 10 K. Electrical properties indicated that TmIn₃ is likely a dense Kondo system.     

稀土元素在硬质合金中的分布和存在形态

研究了稀土元素在硬质合金中的分布和存在形态。结果表明:液相烧结温度下,稀土金属原子吸附在WC/液相(YG合金)和(Tj,W)C/液相(YT合金)界面上;室温下,稀土元素在WC/γ相和(Ti,W)C/γ相界面处富集;在WC/γ相界和γ相中有球状析出物(含有稀土元素)存在。初步推测,稀土在此处以原子态存在,但不排除以化合状态存在的可能。
