Integrating total quality management (TQM) concepts into the systems development process results in efficient, flexible, quality software that is developed and delivered on time. This article explains how to introduce TQM concepts into the development process using CASE tools.

用于运输调度的决策支持系统

本文研究了一类新的 DAR 问题,并针对这一问题提出了一种两阶段启发式算法.算法所允许的输入容量为5000个顾客,20辆车体.本文并设计了一个基于优化的决策支持系统,以辅助这种特殊的运输调度问题.该决策支持系统已在 IBM-PC/XT 微机上实现,经过今年的实际使用表明:每年带来的经济效益50万元.

对电站仿真器模型开发支撑系统（ＰＳＭＳＳ）的研究，目的是为大型火力发电站培训仿真器的研制提供了一个有效的模型开发工具，ＰＳＭＳＳ系统由三个子系统组成：模块库管理系统，模型生成系统，模型试验系统，ＰＳＭＳ系统支持用户进行模块开发，模型生成和仿真试验等方面的工作，有效地加快了电站仿真器的研制过程。

If and when AI is incorporated into information processing systems, significant competitive opportunities may present themselves, but the return on an early AI investment can't be known yet. The six-stage model outlined in this article not only helps calculate the value of individual AI functions but also enables MIS management to anticipate AI's strategic potential.

The risks of large-scale business redesign are well known, but they can be reduced through enterprise modeling, a tool that allows strategic planners to assess an organization's current position before establishing the means to accomplish goals and objectives. This article analyzes the capabilities of enterprise modeling as a diagnostic tool in support of strategic business engineering.

协同写作系统是计算机支持雷同工作系统（ＣＳＣＷ,Ｃｏｍｐｕｔｅ Ｓｕｐｐｏｒｔｅｃｄ Ｃｏｏｐｅｒａｔｉｖｅ Ｗｏｒｋ）的典型应用,目前已经开发了许多支持协同写作的系统,但在这些系统大多没有得到实际的应用。本文提出了一种支持在广域网环境下同步或步异的协同写作的系统模型,着重探讨了该模型下的协作问题。     

软件复用的机器支撑

本文提出了一个软件复用的机器支撑方法，复用的三个步骤获取，管理和施用均由机器自动或半自动地完成，并且构件块和构造型这两类可复用资源在其中得到有机的结合。     

TOWARD A CREATIVE PROBLEM-SOLVING METHODOLOGY WITH KNOWLEDGE PROVISION

In this article, a knowledgeable creative problem-solving methodology (KCPS) is proposed. In addition to being applied as a creative problem-solving methodology, this KCPS method also aims to provide human users the knowledge that is important and necessary for the generation of creative solutions. The development of KCPS is based on the research achievement in the area of human creativity, which suggests that knowledge plays a crucial role in the evolvement of creativity in human mind. Consequently, knowledge provision is one of the key components of the KCPS method. Additionally, according to the models of human creativity, information processing and Meta-behaviors are identified as the other two components of the KCPS. Information processing facilitates human users in analyzing, processing information, and obtaining knowledge in order to approach problems creatively. Meta-behaviors indicate the mental activities of human users when they apply the KCPS method. Subsequently, appropriate techniques that can realize the functions of knowledge provision and information processing are selected and integrated for the development of the KCPS. The operation of the KCPS method is then discussed.

A case study is illustrated with twelve new design concepts for articles of balancing equipment, which were generated by applying the KCPS method. This case study demonstrates that the KCPS method has the capacity to assist human users for the generation of innovative concepts.

基于损失最小化的SVM多类网页分类算法

本文提出一种基于损失最小化的SVM多类网页分类算法,该算法在多类的网页分类问题上将基于损失最小化的SVM分类算法和KNN相结合,在选择分类器顺序的问题上采用剩余样本最小错误率方法。实验表明该方法简单有效,较大地提高了SVM分类算法的准确性。     

多媒体应用与操作系统支持

分布式多媒体应用已经发展成为计算机系统应用的重要组成部分,它要求服务质量（QoS)保证的特点给操作系统提出了新的挑战,操作系统必须提供合适的支持。本文总结了多媒体应用的特点,论述了当前传统操作系统（如U－NIX,Windows,Solaris)不适合对多媒体应用的支持,提出了以下几方面的改进（1）自适应资源调整;（2）CPU调度;（3）磁盘调度;（4）内存管理;（5）I／O管理。     

SOFT MODELING SUPPORT FOR INFORMATION MANAGEMENT

Engineering, operations research, and management science use scientific and engineering processes to design, plan, and schedule increasingly more complex industrial systems in order to enhance performance. One can argue that the systems have grown in complexity over the years mainly due to increased striving for resource optimization combined with a greater degree of uncertainty in the system's environment. Information is seen as one of the main resources that managers try to use in an optimal way. Managing complex systems requires a greater understanding and knowledge about the role of information in systems operation. Today, a growing complexity of information flow is a characteristic of enterprises which concern products to be manufactured, services to be offered, processes, and company structures. Complex systems also operate in changing environments surrounded by numerous uncertainties and disturbances. Difficulties arise from unexpected tasks and events and from a multitude of possible failures and other interactions during the attempt to control various activities in dynamic environments. Therefore, management of information is one of the most important aspects to be considered in intelligent management systems, which are expected to solve unforeseen problems, even on the basis of incomplete and imprecise information. The paper discusses the importance of information in operation management as well as new challenges in information modeling, visualization, and communication in an information society.

Hypertext functionality: A theoretical framework

This article presents a theoretical framework useful for understanding the functionality of Hypertext systems in terms of their ability to satisfy cognitive requirements for expressing concepts and their relationships. This theoretical framework is derived from a re‐interpretation of Guilford's theory of the Structure of Intellect.
