User-friendliness such as ease of creation and modification and system-friendliness such as space and time complexities, accuracy etc. are two important criteria for the selection of a solid representation
scheme. No single solid representation scheme fully meets all the requirements of user-friendliness and system-friendliness.
Hence, any practical CAD/CAM system maintains the geometry of the objects in more than one solid representation scheme simultaneously.
Therefore, it is often required to convert one solid representation scheme to the other. The authors have developed a volumetric
NC simulation system in which the instantaneous blank is represented as an octree as its space and time complexities are independent
of the number of NC blocks. However, since octree does not lend itself readily for operations such as arbitrary transformations,
rendered display etc., it is not directly usable for downstream applications such as animated display, verification and optimization.
Boundary representation is suitable for these downstream applications. Therefore, it is required to convert octree of the instantaneous blank into
BRep. An efficient algorithm for this conversion is presented in this paper. This algorithm essentially splits the octree
into three quadtrees that store the geometry along the three principal directions. This algorithm is fast as it involves only

虚拟加工平台的构建、数控加工程序的正确性验证及加工过程的仿真与优化及是五轴数控机床实现高效加工的重要基础技术。基于VERICUT数控加工仿真与优化平台,以非正交五轴数控机床DMC70ev为研究对象,构建了数控加工仿真平台;以曲面加工为例,建立了基于恒定体积去除率和恒定切屑厚度的优化设计数学模型,进行了刀位轨迹的优化。应用表明:研究成果实现了五轴数控加工过程仿真及数控加工程序的正确性验证,减少了刀具磨损,提高了加工效率与加工质量,可以较好地提升企业数控加工技术的应用水平、应用质量,推动现代制造技术的发展。 相似文献

对某数控科技有限公司生产的SKXC-3000/20型高速数控铣齿机展开研究,深入分析成形法铣齿加工过程,以OpenGL和Visual C++为开发工具,开发一个数控铣齿加工虚拟仿真系统。在虚拟加工仿真系统界面中输入齿轮参数、刀具参数,经处理得到对应数控加工代码,并对代码进行检验和翻译得到加工运动数据和状态数据,由运动数据驱动虚拟机床部件的运动。通过刀具扫描体模型与离散工件模型进行布尔运算实现材料切除过程,发现铣齿加工过程中部件间的干涉碰撞等现象,有效的检验NC程序的正确性。 相似文献

This paper describes the practical integration of solid modelling with milling process simulation, on-line monitoring and
supervisory control. Extensions to the ACIS solid modeller parse the NC program file, determine the tool/workpiece immersion
geometry for each motion, and then subtract the tool swept volume to update the part shape. The immersion geometry is then
used with a mechanistic milling process model to schedule optimal feedrates, to provide on-line reference data for monitoring,
and to calculate departure paths so that, if unexpected events require it, the tool can be moved smoothly away from the workpiece.
The additional information is embedded into the original NC program. This information is recognised by a supervisory control
computer that monitors the process, and uses the information to react intelligently to tool wear, breakage, or chatter. Experimental

This paper deals with a predictive model of kinematical performance in 5-axis milling within the context of high-speed machining.
Indeed, 5-axis high-speed milling makes it possible to improve quality and productivity thanks to the degrees of freedom brought
by the tool axis orientation. The tool axis orientation can be set efficiently in terms of productivity by considering kinematical
constraints resulting from the set machine tool/NC unit. The capacities of each axis as well as NC unit functions can be expressed
as limiting constraints. The proposed model relies on each axis displacement in the joint space of the machine tool and predicts
the most limiting axis for each trajectory segment. Thus, the calculation of the tool feedrate can be performed, highlighting
zones for which the programmed feedrate is not reached. This constitutes as an indicator for trajectory optimization. The
efficiency of the model is illustrated through examples. Finally, the model could be used for optimizing process planning. 相似文献
