A good route (template-directed synthetic route) for the fabrication of ZnO hollow nanospheres (ZnO-HNSPs) was proposed. ZnO hollow nanosphere is a wonderful platform to immobilize glucose oxidase for glucose biosensor owing to the high specific surface area and high isoelectric point (IEP). Along with nafion and glucose oxidase (GOD), a glucose sensor was designed. Nafion/ZnO-HNSPs/GOD/GCE displays higher catalytic activity toward the glucose oxidation than Nafion/ZnO nano-Flowers/GOD/GCE. Linear response was obtained over a concentration range from 5.0 × 10−3 mM to 13.15 mM with a detection limit of 1.0 μM (S/N = 3), and the sensitivity was 65.82 μA/(mM cm2). Satisfyingly, the Nafion/ZnO-HNSPs/GOD/GCE could effectively avoid the interferences from the common interfering species such as uric acid (UA), ascorbic acid (AA), dopamine (DA) and fructose. The Nafion/ZnO-HNSPs/GOD modified electrode allows high sensitivity, excellently selective, stable, and fast amperometric sensing of glucose and thus is promising for the future development of glucose sensors.  相似文献

Pure and Cu-doped ZnO nanofibers were synthesized via electrospinning technology. The morphology and structure of the as-synthesized nanofibers were characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and Raman spectroscopy. The effects of Cu doping on H2S sensing properties at low concentration (1-10 ppm) were investigated at 230 °C. The results show that the H2S sensing properties of ZnO nanofibers are effectively improved by Cu doping: 6 at% Cu-doped ZnO nanofibers show a maximum sensitivity to H2S gas, and the response to 10 ppm H2S is one order of magnitude higher than the one of pure ZnO nanofibers.  相似文献

The room temperature response characteristics of SnO2 thin film sensor loaded with platinum catalyst clusters are investigated for LPG under the exposure of ultraviolet radiation. The SnO2-Pt cluster sensor structures have been prepared using rf sputtering. Combined effect of UV radiation exposure (λ = 365 nm) and presence of Pt catalyst clusters (10 nm thick) on SnO2 thin film sensor surface is seen to lead to an enhanced response (4.4 × 103) for the detection of LPG (200 ppm) at room temperature whereas in the absence of UV illumination a comparable response (∼5 × 103) could be obtained but only at an elevated temperature of 220 °C. The present study therefore investigates the effect of UV illumination on LPG sensing characteristics of SnO2 sensors loaded with Pt clusters of varying thickness values. Results indicate the possibility of utilizing the sensor structure with novel dispersal of Pt catalyst clusters on SnO2 film surface for efficient detection of LPG at room temperature under the illumination of UV radiations.  相似文献

Hollow ZnSnO3 microspheres were successfully prepared by hydrothermal method at 160 °C for 12 h. The prepared material was characterized by field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM), transmission electron microscope (TEM) and X-ray diffraction measurements (XRD). The average diameter of the hollow ZnSnO3 microspheres was in the range of 400-600 nm. Compared with solid ZnSnO3 microspheres structure, the hollow ZnSnO3 microspheres showed better response (S) to butane. To 500 ppm butane, the sensor response (S) of the hollow ZnSnO3 microspheres was 5.79 at the optimum operating temperature of 380 °C, and the response and recovery time were 0.3 s and 0.65 s, respectively. The sensitivities of sensors based on this material were linear with the concentration of butane in the range of 100-1000 ppm.  相似文献

Sn-, Ni-, Fe- and Al-doped ZnO and pure ZnO are prepared by coprecipitation method, and characterized by scanning electron microscope (SEM), energy diffraction spectra (EDS) and X-ray diffraction (XRD). Their formaldehyde gas sensing properties are evaluated and the results show that 2.2 mol% Sn dopant can increase the response of ZnO by more than 2 folds, while other dopants increase little response or even decrease response. Further, CdO is used to activate ZnO based formaldehyde sensing material. It is demonstrated that 10 mol% CdO activated 2.2 mol% Sn-doped ZnO has the highest formaldehyde gas response, with a linear sensitivity of ∼10/ppm at lowered work temperature of 200 °C than 400 °C of pure ZnO, and high selectivity over toluene, CO and NH3, as well as good stability tested in 1 month.  相似文献

Semiconducting SnO2 thin films having higher value of electrical conductivity have been deposited using RF sputtering technique in the reactive gas environment (30% O2 + 70% Ar) using a metallic tin (Sn) target for detection of oxidizing NO2 gas. The effect of growth pressure (12-18 mTorr) on the surface morphology and structural property of SnO2 film was studied using Atomic force microscopy (AFM), Scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and X-ray Diffraction (XRD) respectively. Film deposited at 16 mTorr sputtering pressure was porous with rough microstructure and exhibits high sensor response (∼2.9 × 104) towards 50 ppm NO2 gas at a comparatively low operating temperature (∼100 °C). The sensor response was found to increase linearly from 1.31 × 102 to 2.9 × 104 while the response time decrease from 12.4 to 1.6 min with increase in the concentration of NO2 gas from 1 to 50 ppm. The reaction kinetics of target NO2 gas on the surface of SnO2 thin film at the Sn sites play important role in enhancing the response characteristics at lower operating temperature (∼100 °C). The results obtained in the present study are encouraging for realization of SnO2 thin film based sensor for efficient detection of NO2 gas with low power consumption.  相似文献

This paper reports the sensing response characteristics of rf-sputtered SnO2 thin films (90 nm thick) loaded with platinum catalyst cluster of varying thickness (2-20 nm) for LPG detection. The enhanced response (5 × 103) was obtained for 200 ppm LPG with the presence of 10 nm thin and uniformly distributed Pt catalyst clusters on the surface of SnO2 thin film at a relatively low operating temperature (220 °C). The high response for LPG is shown to be primarily due to the enhanced catalytic activity for adsorbed oxygen on the surface of SnO2 thin film besides the spill over mechanism at elevated temperature.  相似文献

A very sensitive and reversible optical chemical sensor based on dithizone as chromoionophore immobilized within a plasticized carboxylated PVC film for Zn2+ determination is described. At optimum conditions (i.e. pH 5.0), the proposed sensor displays a linear response to Zn2+ over 5.0 × 10−8-5.0 × 10−6 mol L−1 range. This range was improved to 2.5 × 10−8-5.8 × 10−5 mol L−1 range by applying principle component-feed forward artificial neural network with back-propagation training algorithm (PC-ANNB). Detection limit of 8.0 × 10−9 mol L−1 was obtained. The sensor is fully reversible within the dynamic range and the response time (t95%) is approximately 4 min under batch conditions. In addition to its high stability and reproducibility, the sensor shows good selectivity towards Zn2+ ion with respect to common metal cations. The sensor was successfully applied for determination of Zn2+ ion in hair sample.  相似文献

Gas sensors based on a quartz crystal microbalance (QCM) coated with ZnO nanorods were developed for detection of NH3 at room temperature. Vertically well-aligned ZnO nanorods were synthesized by a novel wet chemical route at a low temperature of 90 °C, which was used to grow the ZnO nanorods directly on the QCM for the gas sensor application. The morphology of the ZnO nanorods was examined by field-emission scanning electron microscopy (FE-SEM). The diameter and length of the nanorods were 100 nm and 3 μm, respectively. The QCM coated with the ZnO nanorods gas sensor showed excellent performance to NH3 gas. The frequency shift (Δf) to 50 ppm NH3 at room temperature was about 9.1 Hz. It was found that the response and recovery times were varied with the ammonia concentration. The fabricated gas sensors showed good reproducibility and high stability. Moreover, the sensor showed a high selectivity to ammoniac gas over liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), nitrous oxide (N2O), carbon monoxide (CO), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), and carbon dioxide (CO2).  相似文献

Hierarchically three-dimensional (3D) porous ZnO architectures are synthesized by a template-free, economical aqueous solution method combined with subsequent calcination. First, the precursors of interlaced and monodisperse basic zinc nitrate (BZN) nanosheets are prepared. Then calcination of the precursors produces hierarchically 3D porous ZnO architectures composed of interlaced ZnO nanosheets with high porosity resulting from the thermal decomposition of the precursors. The products are characterized by X-ray diffraction, thermogravimetric-differential thermalgravimetric analysis, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscopy, and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller N2 adsorption-desorption analyses. The BET surface area of the hierarchically porous ZnO nanostructures was calculated to be 12.8 m2 g−1. Compared with ZnO rods, the as-prepared porous ZnO nanosheets exhibit a good response and reversibility to some organic gases, such as ethanol and acetone. The responses to 100 ppm ethanol and acetone are 24.3 and 31.6, respectively, at a working temperature of 320 °C. These results show that the porous ZnO architectures are highly promising for gas sensor applications, as the gas diffusion and mass transportation in sensing materials are significantly enhanced by their unique structures. Moreover, it is believed that this solution-based approach can be extended to fabricate other porous metal oxide materials with a unique morphology or shape.  相似文献

The present work describes the electrocatalytic behavior of phosphotungstate-doped glutaraldehyde-cross-linked poly-l-lysine (PLL-GA-PW) film electrode towards reduction of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in acidic medium. The modified electrode was prepared by means of electrostatically trapping the phosphotungstate anion into the cationic PLL-GA coating on glassy carbon electrode. The PLL-GA-PW film electrode showed excellent electrocatalytic activity towards H2O2 reduction in 0.1 M H2SO4. Under the optimized conditions, the electrochemical sensor exhibited a linear response for H2O2 concentration over the range 2.5 × 10−6 to 6.85 × 10−3 M with a sensitivity of 1.69 μA mM−1. The curvature in the calibration curve at high concentration is explained in terms of Michaelis-Menten (MM) saturation kinetics, and the kinetics parameters calculated by three different methods were compared. The PLL-GA-PW film electrode did not respond to potential interferents such as dopamine, ascorbic acid and uric acid. This unique feature of PLL-GA-PW film electrode allowed selective determination of H2O2. Finally, the proposed electrochemical sensor was successfully applied to determine H2O2 in commercially available antiseptic solution and soft-contact lenses cleaning solution and the method has been validated using independent estimation by classical potassium permanganate titration method. Major advantages of the method are simple electrode fabrication, stability and high selectivity towards hydrogen peroxide.  相似文献

Barium titanate (BaTiO3) nanofibers were synthesized by electrospinning and calcination techniques. Two direct current (DC) humidity sensors with different electrodes (Al and Ag) were fabricated by loading BaTiO3 nanofibers as the sensing material. Compared with the Al electrode sensor, the Ag electrode sensor exhibits larger sensitivity and quicker response/recovery. The current of Al electrode sensor increases from 4.08 × 10−9 to 1.68 × 10−7 A when the sensor is switched from 11% to 95% relative humidity (RH), while the values are 2.19 × 10−9 and 3.29 × 10−7 A for the Ag electrode sensor, respectively. The corresponding response and recovery times are 30 and 9 s for Al electrode sensor, and 20 and 3 s for Ag electrode sensor, respectively. These results make BaTiO3 nanofiber-based DC humidity sensors good candidates for practical application. Simultaneously, the comparison of sensors with different electrode materials may offer an effective route for designing and optimizing humidity sensors.  相似文献

Unloaded ZnO and Nb/ZnO nanoparticles containing 0.25, 0.5 and 1 mol.% Nb were produced in a single step by flame-spray pyrolysis (FSP) technique. The nanoparticles were characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The BET surface area (SSABET) of the nanoparticles was measured by nitrogen adsorption. FSP yielded small Nb particles attached to the surface of the supporting ZnO nanoparticles, indicating a high SSABET. The morphology and accurate size of the primary particles were further investigated by TEM. Nb/ZnO nanoparticles paste composed of ethyl cellulose and terpineol as binder and solvent respectively was coated on Al2O3 substrate interdigitated with gold electrodes to form thick films by spin coating technique. After the sensing tests, the morphology and the cross-section of sensing film were analyzed by SEM and EDS analyses. The influence on a low dynamic range of Nb concentration on NO2 response (0.1-4 ppm) of thick film sensor elements was studied at the operating temperatures ranging from 250 to 350 °C in the presence of dry air. The optimum Nb concentration was found be 0.5 mol.% and 0.5 mol.% Nb exhibited an optimum NO2 response of ∼1640 and a short response time (27 s) for NO2 concentration of 4 ppm at 300 °C.  相似文献

Nanostructured hollow spheres of SnO2 with fine nanoparticles were synthesized by ultrasonic atomization. Thick film gas sensors were fabricated by screen printing technique. Different surface modified films (Fe2O3 modified SnO2) were obtained by dipping them into an aqueous solution (0.01 M) of ferric chloride for different intervals of time followed by firing at 500 °C. The structural and microstructural studies of the samples were carried out using XRD, SEM, and TEM. The sensing performance of pure and modified films was studied by exposing various gases at different operating temperatures. One of the modified sample exhibited high response (1990) to 1000 ppm of LPG at 350 °C. Optimum amount of Fe2O3 dispersed evenly on the surface, adsorption and spillover of LPG on Fe2O3 misfits and high capacity of adsorption of oxygen on nanostructured hollow spheres may be the reasons of high response.  相似文献

Indium oxide (In2O3) doped with 0.5-5 at.% of Ba was examined for their response towards trace levels of NOx in the ambient. Crystallographic phase studies, electrical conductivity and sensor studies for NOx with cross interference for hydrogen, petroleum gas (PG) and ammonia were carried out. Bulk compositions with x ≤ 1 at.% of Ba exhibited high response towards NOx with extremely low cross interference for hydrogen, PG and ammonia, offering high selectivity. Thin films of 0.5 at.% Ba doped In2O3 were deposited using pulsed laser deposition technique using an excimer laser (KrF) operating at a wavelength of (λ) 248 nm with a fluence of ∼3 J/cm2 and pulsed at 10 Hz. Thin film sensors exhibited better response towards 3 ppm NOx quite reliably and reproducibly and offer the potential to develop NOx sensors (Threshold limit value of NO2 and NO is 3 and 25 ppm, respectively).  相似文献

The characteristics of MoO3/F8BT/ZnO inorganic/organic hybrid light emitting diodes (IO-HyLEDs) fabricated on ZnO/Ag/ZnO dielectric/metal/dielectric (DMD) and conventional ZnO/ITO were investigated. The DMD had a low sheet resistance of 9 Ω/sq and a high transmittance of 90.7%. The device fabricated on DMD showed similar current density–voltage (JV) and luminance–current density (LJ) characteristics to that on ZnO/ITO, indicating the possibility of DMD as a promising transparent conductive layer for IO-HyLEDs. The maximum luminous intensity of 237,000 cd/m2 was demonstrated under pulsed condition for the DMD device. We also investigated the effect of the combination interlayer (CIL) at the F8BT/ZnO interface on the IO-HyLEDs. The CIL was composed of a Mg0.52Zn0.48O/Mg0.25Zn0.75O bilayer and a self-assembled dipole molecule (SADM) of BA-CH3. The devices with CIL exhibited an approximately threefold enhancement of the luminous intensity and efficiency in comparison with the devices without CIL. This improvement was considered to be brought about by the enhancement of the electron injection efficiency by CIL.  相似文献

This paper presents the amperometric biosensor that determines choline and cholinesterase activity using a screen printed graphite electrode. In order to detect H2O2 we have blanket modified the electrode material with manganese dioxide nanoparticles layer. Using layer-by-layer technique on the developed hydrogen peroxide sensitive electrode surface choline oxidase was incorporated into the interpolyelectrolyte nanofilm. Its ability to serve as a detector of choline in bulk analysis and cholinesterase assay was investigated. We examined the interferences from red-ox species and heavy metals in the blood and in the environmental sample matrixes. The sensor exhibited a linear increase of the amperometric signal at the concentration of choline ranging from 1.3 × 10−7 to 1.0 × 10−4 M, with a detection limit (evaluated as 3σ) of 130 nM and a sensitivity of 103 mA M−1 cm−2 under optimized potential applied (480 mV vs. Ag/AgCl). The biosensor retained its activity for more than 10 consecutive measurements and kept 75% of initial activity for three weeks of storage at 4 °C. The R.S.D. was determined as 1.9% for a choline concentration of 10−4 M (n = 10) with a typical response time of about 10 s. The developed choline biosensor was applied for butyrylcholinesterase assay showing a detection limit of 5 pM (3σ). We used the biosensor to develop the cholinesterase inhibitor assay. Detection limit for chlorpyrifos was estimated as 50 pM.  相似文献

Monoclonal antibodies (MAb) have been commonly applied to measure LDL in vivo and to characterize modifications of the lipids and apoprotein of the LDL particles. The electronegative low density lipoprotein (LDL) has an apolipoprotein B-100 modified at oxidized events in vivo. In this work, a novel LDL electrochemical biosensor was developed by adsorption of anti-LDL MAb on an (polyvinyl formal)-gold nanoparticles (PVF-AuNPs)-modified gold electrode. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) and cyclic voltammetry (CV) were used to characterize the recognition of LDL. The interaction between MAb-LDL leads to a blockage in the electron transfer of the [Fe(CN)6]4−/K4[Fe(CN)6]3− redox couple, which may could result in high change in the electron transfer resistance (RCT) and decrease in the amperometric responses in CV analysis. The compact antibody-antigen complex introduces the insulating layer on the assembled surface, which increases the diameter of the semicircle, resulting in a high RCT, and the charge transferring rate constant κ0 decreases from 18.2 × 10−6 m/s to 4.6 × 10−6 m/s. Our results suggest that the interaction between MAb and lipoprotein can be quantitatively assessed by the modified electrode. The PVF-AuNPs-MAb system exhibited a sensitive response to LDL, which could be used as a biosensor to quantify plasmatic levels of LDL.  相似文献

A new triphenylamine-based fluorogenic probe bearing an indolylmethane unit (R1) was developed as a fluorescent chemosensor with high selectivity toward Cu2+ over other cations tested. The new probe R1 only sensed Cu2+ among heavy and transition metal (HTM) ions in CH3CN/H2O (70/30, v/v) solution. The capture of Cu2+ by the receptor resulted in deprotonation of the secondary amine conjugated to the triphenylamine, so that the electron-donation ability of the “N” atom would be greatly enhanced; thus sensor showed a 250 nm change in the new absorption band (from 291 nm to 541 nm) and a large colorimetric response, it also exhibited the large decrease in fluorescence intensity at 378 nm and affinity to Cu2+ over other cations such as Hg2+, Fe3+, Pb2+, Zn2+, Cd2+, Ni2+, Co2+ and Mn2+ make this compound a useful chemosensor for Cu2+ detection in CH3CN/H2O (70/30, v/v) mixture. The probe R1 (c = 1.0 × 10−6 M) displayed significant fluorescence change and colorimetric change upon addition of Cu2+ among the metal ions examined.  相似文献

ZnO nanoparticles loaded with 0.2-2.0 at.% Pt have been successfully produced in a single step by flame spray pyrolysis (FSP) technique using zinc naphthenate and platinum(II) acetylacetonate, as precursors dissolved in xylene and their acetylene sensing characteristics have been investigated. The particle properties were analyzed by XRD, BET, TEM, SEM and EDS. Under the 5/5 (precursor/oxygen) flame condition, ZnO nanoparticles and nanorods were observed. The crystallite sizes of ZnO spherical and hexagonal particles were found to be ranging from 5 to 20 nm while ZnO nanorods were seen to be 5-20 nm in width and 20-40 nm in length. In addition, very fine Pt nanoparticles with diameter of ∼1 nm were uniformly deposited on the surface of ZnO particles. From gas-sensing characterization, acetylene sensing characteristics of ZnO nanoparticles is significantly improved as Pt content increased from 0 to 2  at.%. The 2 at.% Pt loaded ZnO sensing film showed an optimum C2H2 response of ∼836 at 1% acetylene concentration and 300 °C operating temperature. A low detection limit of 50 ppm was obtained at 300 °C operating temperature. In addition, Pt loaded ZnO sensing films exhibited good selectivity towards hydrogen, methane and carbon monoxide.  相似文献
