A novel red–orange emitting material with a branched molecular structure, 2,4,6-tris[2-(N-ethyl-3-carbazole)carboxethenyl]-1,3,5-s-triazine (TC3), has been synthesized and characterized using UV–visible, photoluminescence (PL) and electroluminescence (EL) spectroscopy. White EL devices were fabricated using TC3 as a red–orange emitter and 8-hydroxyquinolinolato lithium (Liq) as a blue–green emitter. N,N-bis(3-methylphenyl)-N,N-diphenylbenzidine (TPD) as the adjustor for charge carrier mobility was introduced between the two emitting layers to improve the stability of the white emission color on bias voltage. The EL devices of ITO/poly(N-vinylcarbazole) (PVK):TC3 (56 nm)/TPD (5 nm)/Liq (30 nm)/Mg:Ag exhibited good quality white emission. The Commission Internationale De L’Eclairage chromaticity coordinates are (0.34, 0.39) and are stable on the bias voltage.  相似文献

We demonstrate one high-efficiency blue fluorescent material, N-(4-((E)-2-(6-((E)-4-(diphenylamino)styryl)naphthalen-2-yl)vinyl)phenyl)-N-phenylbenzenamine, with an emissive peak of 472 nm and the hole-transporting property speculated from different devices. It can function either as the single emissive layer or as the dye doped in N,N′-dicarbazolyl-4-4′-biphenyl (CBP). The former shows a maximum current efficiency and luminance of 7.06 cd/A (0.04 mA/cm2) and 16 930 cd/m2, in contrast to 11.5 cd/A (4.35 mA/cm2) and 25 690 cd/m2 for the latter. The better performance of the latter can be attributed to the bipolar carrier transport property of CBP and the hole-blocking and electron-transporting characteristic of 4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (BPhen), which resulting in a good balance of holes and electrons. Moreover, the Commission Internationale De L’Eclairage coordinates of the latter change slightly from (0.162, 0.3) to (0.148, 0.268) upon increasing the voltage from 3 V to 14 V.  相似文献

The four fluorene-based trimers with various aromatic and alkyl substituents (T1T4) are synthesized and characterized. These oligomers show the similar electronic absorption and emission characteristics (e.g., absorption peak at 351 nm, and highly efficient deep blue emission at 394 nm in solution), indicating that the major electronic properties of the core chromophore are essentially independent of the substituents. However, the condensed state structures and thermal properties of four trimers are found to be different from each other, from crystalline (full alkyl (T1) or full aromatic (T2) substituted trimers) to amorphous (mixed aromatic and alkyl (T4) substituted trimers). The effect of different condensed state structures on electroluminescence device properties is presented: The blue light-emitting devices with accordant structure of ITO/PEDOT:PSS/TCTA (40 nm)/trimers (40 nm)/BCP (10 nm)/Alq3 (20 nm)/LiF/Al exhibit different EL efficiency (2.9% of T2, 1.8% of T3 and 2.7% of T4). Using amorphous T4, the white light-emitting device of ITO/TCTA (40 nm)/rubrene (0.1 nm)/T4 (8 nm)/Alq3(52 nm)/LiF/Al is fabricated with high efficiency (6.15 cd A−1), high brightness (9500 cd m−2) and good white light CIE coordinates (0.32, 0.37).  相似文献

The authors demonstrate a fluorescent white organic light-emitting device (WOLED) with double emissive layers. The yellow and blue dyes, 5,6,11,12-tetraphenylnaphthacene and N-(4-((E)-2-(6-((E)-4-(diphenylamino)styryl)naphthalen-2-yl)vinyl)phenyl)-N-phenylbenzenamine, are doping into the same conductive host material, N,N′-dicarbazolyl-4-4′-biphenyl). The maximum luminance and power efficiency of the WOLED are 14.6 cd/A and 9.5 lm/W at 0.01 mA/cm2, with the maximum brightness of 20 100 cd/m2 at 17.8 V. The Commission International de L’Éclairage coordinates change slightly from (0.27, 0.37) to (0.28, 0.36), as the applied voltage increases from 6 V to 16 V. The high efficiencies can be attributed to the balance between holes and electrons.  相似文献

In this paper, we demonstrated the changes of electrical and optical characteristics of a phosphorescent organic light-emitting device (OLED) with tris(phenylpyridine)iridium Ir(ppy)3 thin layer (4 nm) slightly codoped (1%) inside the emitting layer (EML) close to the cathode side. Such a thin layer helped for electron injection and transport from the electron transporting layer into the EML, which reduced the driving voltage (0.40 V at 100 mA/cm2). Electroluminescence (EL) spectral shift at different driving voltage was observed in our blue OLED with [(4,6-di-fluoropheny)-pyridinato-N,C2′]picolinate (FIrpic) emitter, which came from the recombination zone shift. With the incorporation of thin-codoped Ir(ppy)3, such EL spectral shift was almost undetectable (color coordinate shift (0.000, 0.001) from 100 to 10,000 cd/m2), due to the compensation of Ir(ppy)3 emission at low driving voltage. Such a methodology can be applied to a white OLED which stabilized the EL spectrum and the color coordinates ((0.012, 0.002) from 100 to 10,000 cd/m2).  相似文献

A novel blue emitter, In2Bt, featured with a rigid and coplanar distyryl-p-phenylene backbone flattened by two different bridging atoms (i.e. carbon and sulfur) exhibits high thermal and morphological stability (Tg  192 °C) and ambipolar charge carrier mobilities in the range of 10?4  10?5 cm2 V?1 s?1. OLED device: ITO/PEDOT:PSS (300 Å)/α-NPD (200 Å)/TCTA (100 Å)/In2Bt (200 Å)/TPBI (500 Å)/LiF (5 Å)/Al (1500 Å) utilized In2Bt as an emitter gave a maximum brightness as high as 8000 cd m?2 (12 V) and saturated-blue emission with CIE chromaticity coordinates of (0.16, 0.08), which is very close to the National Television Standards Committee (NTSC) standard blue gives an enlarged palette of colors for color displays.  相似文献

A novel tripodal compound, tris[2-(7-diethylamino-coumarin-3-carboxamide)ethyl]amine (tren-C), and a model compound, N-butyl-7-(diethylamino)-coumarin-3-carboxamide, were synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, infrared and 1H NMR spectra. The structure of the model compound was characterized by single crystal X-ray crystallography. The electroluminescence devices of ITO/2-TNATA (5 nm)/NPB (40 nm)/CBP: tren-C or model compound (wt%, 30 nm)/Bu-PBD (30 nm)/LiF (1 nm)/Al (100 nm) were fabricated and characterized. The EL spectra of the devices comprising vacuum vapour-deposited films using tren-C as a dopant are similar to the PL spectrum of tren-C in chloroform solutions. At the concentration of 0.5 wt% tren-C, a blue-emitting OLED with an emission peak at 464 nm, a maximum external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 1.39% and a maximum luminous efficiency of 2 cd/A at the current density of 20 mA/cm2, and a maximum luminance of 1450 cd/m2 at 12 V are achieved.  相似文献

We report the effect of yellow Sr2SiO4:Eu2+ and green SrGa2S4:Eu2+ phosphors on the efficiency of organic photovoltaic (OPV) cells. Each phosphor was coated on the back side of indium tin oxide (ITO)/glass substrates by spin coating with poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA). The maximum absorption wavelength of the active layer in the OPV cells was ~512 nm. The emission peaks of Sr2SiO4:Eu2+ and SrGa2S4:Eu2+ were maximized at 552 nm and 534 nm, respectively. The short circuit current density (Jsc) and power conversion efficiency (PCE) of the OPV cells with Sr2SiO4:Eu2+ (8.55 mA/cm2 and 3.25%) and with SrGa2S4:Eu2+ (9.29 mA/cm2 and 3.3%) were higher than those of the control device without phosphor (7.605 mA/cm2 and 3.04%). We concluded that phosphor tuned the wavelength of the incident light to the absorption wavelength of the active layer, thus increasing the Jsc and PCE of the OPV cells.  相似文献

Diphenylamino- and triazole-endcapped fluorene derivatives which show a wide energy band gap, a high fluorescence quantum yield and high stability have been synthesized and characterized. Single-layer electroluminescent devices of these fluorene derivatives exhibited efficient deep blue to greenish blue emission at low driving voltage. The single-layer OLED of PhN-OF(1)-TAZ shows a maximum current efficiency of 1.54 cd/A at 20 mA cm−2 with external quantum efficiency (EQE) of 2.0% and CIE coordinates of (0.153, 0.088) in deep blue region, while the single-layer device of oligothienylfluorene PhN-OFOT-TAZ shows a maximum brightness of 7524 cd/m2 and a maximum current efficiency of 2.9 cd/A with CIE coordinates of (0.20, 0.40) in greenish blue.  相似文献

We report on the formation of low-resistance and highly transparent indium tin oxide (ITO) ohmic contacts to p-GaN using a Sn–Ag alloy interlayer. Although the as-deposited Sn–Ag(6 nm)/ITO(200 nm) contacts show non-ohmic behaviors, the scheme becomes ohmic with specific contact resistance of 4.72×10−4 Ω cm2 and produce transmittance of ∼91% at wavelength of 460 nm when annealed at 530 °C. Blue light-emitting diodes (LEDs) fabricated with the Sn–Ag/ITO contacts give forward-bias voltage of 3.31 V at injection current of 20 mA. LEDs with the Sn–Ag/ITO contacts show the improvement of the output power by 62% (at 20 mA) compared with LEDs with Ni/Au contacts.  相似文献

A neutral ligand 9-(4-tert-butylphenyl)-3,6-bis(diphenylphosphineoxide)-carbazole (DPPOC) and its complex Tb(PMIP)3DPPOC (A, where PMIP stands for 1-phenyl-3-methyl-4-isobutyryl-5-pyrazolone) were synthesized. DPPOC has a suitable lowest triplet energy level (24,691 cm?1) for the sensitization of Tb(III) (5D4: 20,400 cm?1) and a significantly higher thermal stability (glass transition temperature 137 °C) compared with the familiar ligand triphenylphosphine oxide (TPPO). Experiments revealed that the emission layer of the Tb(PMIP)3DPPOC film could be prepared by vacuum co-deposition of the complex Tb(PMIP)3(H2O)2 (B) and DPPOC (molar ratio = 1:1). The electroluminescent (EL) device ITO/N,N′-diphenyl-N,N′-bis(1-naphthyl)-1,1′-diphenyl-4,4′-diamine (NPB; 10 nm)/Tb(PMIP)3 (20 nm)/co-deposited Tb(PMIP)3DPPOC (30 nm)/2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (BCP; 10 nm)/tris(8-hydroxyquinoline) (AlQ; 20 nm)/Mg0.9Ag0.1 (200 nm)/Ag (80 nm) exhibited pure emission from terbium ions, even at the highest current density. The highest efficiency obtained was 16.1 lm W?1, 36.0 cd A?1 at 6 V. At a practical brightness of 119 cd m?2 (11 V) the efficiency remained above 4.5 lm W?1, 15.7 cd A?1. These values are a significant improvement over the previously reported Tb(PMIP)3(TPPO)2 (C).  相似文献

We reported an asymmetric phenylenevinylene with a cis double bond 2-(4-(p-tolyl)styryl)-1,4-dip-tolylbenzene (cis-TSDTB) and its use as efficient deep-blue emitter for organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs) applications. The crystal structure of cis-TSDTB showed torsion configuration and asymmetric geometry, which make it packing in a reduced intermolecular interaction arrangement. And its single crystals showed excellent fluorescence owing to this unique molecular configuration. Typical OLEDs using cis-TSDTB as non-doped emitters exhibited saturated blue light with the CIE 1931 coordinates of (0.15, 0.10), which is quite close to the National Television Standards Committee (NTSC) blue standard. High luminescence efficiency (3.4 cd A−1) and high brightness (9855 cd m−2) have been realized in the device. All of these outstanding results indicated that cis-phenylenevinylene will be a promising candidate as blue light-emitting materials.  相似文献

Highly efficient fluorescent white organic light-emitting diodes (WOLEDs) have been fabricated by using three red, green and blue, separately monochromatic emission layers. The red and blue emissive layers are based on 4-(dicyanomethylene)-2-tert-butyl-6-(1,1,7,7-tetramethyljulolidin-4-yl-vinyl)-4H-pyran (DCJTB) doped N,N′-di(naphthalene-1-yl)-N,N′-diphenyl-benzidine (NPB) and p-bis(p-N,N-diphenyl-amino-styryl) benzene (DSA-ph) doped 2-methyl-9,10-di(2-naphthyl) anthracene (MADN), respectively; and the green emissive layer is based on tris(8-hydroxyquionline)aluminum(Alq3) doped with 10-(2-benzothiazolyl)-2,3,6,7-tetrahydro-1,1,7,7-tetramethyl-1H,5H,1[H-(1)-benzopyropyrano(6,7-8-i,j)quinolizin-1]-one (C545T), which is sandwiched between the red and the blue emissive layers. It can be seen that the devices show stable white emission with Commission International de L’Eclairage coordinates of (0.41, 0.41) and color rendering index (CRI) of 84 in a wide range of bias voltages. The maximum power efficiency, current efficiency and quantum efficiency reach 15.9 lm/W, 20.8 cd/A and 8.4%, respectively. The power efficiency at brightness of 500 cd/m2 still arrives at 7.9 lm/W, and the half-lifetime under the initial luminance of 500 cd/m2 is over 3500 h.  相似文献

Wet-process enables flexible, large area-size organic devices to be fabricated cost-effectively via roll-to-roll manufacturing. However, wet-processed devices often show comparatively poor performance due to the lack of solution-process feasible functional materials that exhibit robust mechanical properties. We demonstrate here a cross-linkable material, 3,6-bis(4-vinylphenyl)-9-ethylcarbazole (VPEC), to facilitate the injection of hole and meanwhile effectively confine electron to realize, for examples, high efficiency organic light-emitting diodes, especially at high luminance. The VPEC shows a hole mobility of 1 × 10−4 cm2 V−1 s−1 and a triplet energy of 2.88 eV. Most importantly, the VPEC not only works for devices containing low band-gap red or green emitters, but also for the counterpart with high band-gap blue emitter. With the electron confining hole transporting material, the power efficiency of a studied red device, at 1,000 cd m−2 for example, is increased from 8.5 to 13.5 lm W−1, an increment of 59%, and the maximum luminance enhanced from 13,000 to 19,000 cd m−2, an increment of 46%. For a high triplet energy blue emitter containing device, it is increased from 6.9 to 8.9 lm W−1, an increment of 29%, and the maximum luminance enhanced from 9,000 to 11,000 cd m−2, an increment of 22%.  相似文献

The flexible top-emitting white organic light-emitting diode (FTEWOLED) with a very high efficiency but a significant color alteration is achieved with a blue/red/blue sandwiched tri-emission-layer. The voltage-dependent recombination region alternation and the emission mechanism are systematically investigated through a delta-doping method and the time-resolved transient photoluminescence lifetime measurement. By locating the main exciton recombination region at the 4,4′,4″-Tris(carbazol-9-yl)-triphenylamine (TCTA) and 9,9-spirobifluoren-2-yl-diphenyl-phosphine oxide (SPPO1) interface, replacing the carrier-trapping red dopant guest with an orange guest that utilizes energy transfer mechanism, and using a P–I–N structure together with the FIrpic blue guest dopant to balance the electron and hole carriers, an extremely color stable and a very high efficient FTEWOLED is fabricated, with the resulting high current and power efficiencies of 22.7 cd/A and 14.27 lm/W, and a warm white illumination with a small chromaticity variation of (−0.0087, +0.0015) over a broad luminance range of more than four orders of magnitude. In addition, the performances can be further improved to 23,340 cd/m2, 24.49 cd/A and 15.39 lm/W with a slight concentration alteration of the orange emitter.  相似文献

Two novel iridium complexes both containing carbazole-functionalized β-diketonate, Ir(ppy)2(CBDK) [bis(2-phenylpyridinato-N,C2)iridium(1-(carbazol-9-yl)-5,5-dimethylhexane-2,4-diketonate)], Ir(dfppy)2(CBDK) [bis(2-(2,4-difluorophenyl)pyridinato-N,C2)iridium(1-(carbazol-9-yl)-5,5-dimethylhexane-2,4-diketonate)] and two reported complexes, Ir(ppy)2(acac) (acac = acetylacetonate), Ir(dfppy)2(acac) were synthesized and characterized. The electrophosphorescent properties of non-doped device using the four complexes as emitter, respectively, with a configuration of ITO/N,N′-diphenyl-N,N′-bis(1-naphthyl)-1,1′-diphenyl-4,4′-diamine (NPB) (20 nm)/iridium complex (20 nm)/2,9-dimethyl-4,7-diphenyl-1,10-phenanthroline (BCP) (5 nm)/tris(8-hydroxyquinoline)aluminum (AlQ) (45 nm)/Mg0.9Ag0.1 (200 nm)/Ag (80 nm) were examined. In addition, a most simplest device, ITO/Ir(ppy)2(CBDK) (80 nm)/Mg0.9Ag0.1 (200 nm)/Ag (80 nm), and two double-layer devices with configurations of ITO/NPB (30 nm)/Ir(ppy)2(CBDK) (30 nm)/Mg0.9Ag0.1 (200 nm)/Ag (80 nm) and ITO/Ir(ppy)2(CBDK) (30 nm)/AlQ (30 nm)/Mg0.9Ag0.1 (200 nm)/Ag (80 nm) were also fabricated and examined. The results show that the non-doped four-layer device for Ir(ppy)2(CBDK) achieves maximum lumen efficiency of 4.54 lm/W and which is far higher than that of Ir(ppy)2(acac), 0.53 lm/W, the device for Ir(dfppy)2(CBDK) achieves maximum lumen efficiency of 0.51 lm/W and which is also far higher than that of Ir(dfppy)2(acac), 0.06 lm/W. The results of simple devices involved Ir(ppy)2(CBDK) show that the designed complex not only has a good hole transporting ability, but also has a good electron transporting ability. The improved performance of Ir(ppy)2(CBDK) and Ir(dfppy)2(CBDK) can be attributed to that the bulky carbazole-functionalized β-diketonate was introduced, therefore the carrier transporting property was improved and the triplet–triplet annihilation was reduced.  相似文献

Here we report efficient and color-stable white polymer light-emitting devices (WPLEDs) based on a newly synthesized efficient blue emitting polymer poly[(9,9-bis(4-(2-ethylhexyloxy)phenyl)fluorene)-co-(3,7-dibenziothiene-S,S-dioxide10)] (PPF-3,7SO10) which dually function as host material and blue emitter, with appropriate blending ratio with two typical electroluminescent polymers, green emitting poly[2-(4-(3′,7′-dimethyloctyloxy)-phenyl)-p-phenylenevinylene] (P-PPV) and orange–red emitter poly[2-methoxy-5-(2′-ethyl-hexyloxy)-1,4-phenylene vinylene] (MEH–PPV) with appropriate blending ratio. In a single active layer WPLEDs with a blending ratio of 100:0.8:0.5 (B:G:R) by weight, white light emission with CIE coordinate of (0.34, 0.35) was realized. The resulted device shows a high luminous efficiency (LE) of 8.7 cd A?1, which could be further enhanced to 14.0 cd A?1 with incorporation of a thin hole transporting layer poly (vinylcarbazole) (PVK) at the anode side. The obtained luminous efficiency is listed as one of the highest reported value for WPLEDs based on all fluorescent polymer emitters. The devices had appropriate color temperature of 2500–6500 K and high color rendering index (CRI) of 72–79, and are characterized with stable electroluminescent spectra upon change of current density, stress and annealing at high temperature, thus can find application in solid-state lighting.  相似文献

The new amorphous molecular material, 2,5-bis(4-triphenylsilanyl-phenyl)-[1,3,4]oxadiazole, that functions as good hole blocker as well as electron transporting layer in the phosphorescent devices. The obtained material forms homogeneous and stable amorphous film. The new synthesized showed the reversible cathodic reduction for hole blocking material and the low reduction potential for electron transporting material in organic electroluminescent (EL) devices. The fabricated devices exhibited high performance with high current efficiency and power efficiency of 45 cd/A and 17.7 lm/W in 10 mA/cm2, which is superior to the result of the device using BAlq (current efficiency: 31.5 cd/A and power efficiency: 13.5 lm/W in 10 mA/cm2) as well-known hole blocker. The ITO/DNTPD/α-NPD/6% Ir(ppy)3 doped CBP/2,5-bis(4-triphenylsilanyl-phenyl)-[1,3,4]oxadiazole as both hole blocking and electron transporting layer/Al device showed efficiency of 45 cd/A and maximum brightness of 3000 cd/m2 in 10 mA/cm2.  相似文献

Five novel spirobifluorene derivatives, SPF-DM, SPF-MB, SPF-BB, BSPF-NA1 and BSPF-NA2 were synthesized starting from the readily available reagent 4,4′-bisalkylated biphenyl. Their linear absorption, fluorescence and thermal properties were examined and their redox potential levels were estimated by cyclic voltammetry. These compounds possess high thermal stability. SPF-MB and SPF-BB possess excellent spectral sensitivities to pH changes and can be used as optical pH sensors of a wide pH range. The recognition behavior of SPF-BB toward various metal ions has been evaluated in a acetonitrile/water (15:1, v/v) solvent system. SPF-BB is highly selective in recognizing Ag+. The electroluminescent properties of SPF-DM, SPF-MB, BSPF-NA1 and BSPF-NA2 are demonstrated with a device configuration of ITO/MoO3 (6 nm)/NPB (80 nm)/EML (30 nm)/TPBI (40 nm)/LiF (1 nm)/Al (100 nm). The devices of BSPF-NA1 and BSPF-NA2 display a yellow emission in the EL spectra and their maximum brightness reached 380 and 311 cd m?2, respectively. At low turn-on voltage (7.9 V) a light blue emission was observed in the device of SPF-DM and its maximum brightness reached 391 cd m?2. Notably, the device of SPF-MB has a white emission with CIE coordinates (0.293, 0.307).  相似文献

Efficient fluorescent white organic light-emitting diodes with low carrier-injection barriers were fabricated with device structure of indium tin oxide/N,N′-bis-(1-naphthy)-N,N′-diphenyl-1,1′-biphenyl-4-4′-diamine/white emission layer/1,3,5-tris(N-phenyl-benzimidazol-2-yl)benzene/lithium fluoride/aluminium. By blending in the blue host of 1-butyl-9,10-naphthalene-anthracene in the emissive layer an efficient electro-luminescent greenish-blue co-host of di(triphenyl-amine)-1,4-divinyl-naphthalene, with the doping of a trace amount of red dye of 4-(dicyano-methylene)-2-methyl-6-(julolidin-4-yl-vinyl)-4H-pyran, bright and colour-stable white emission with high power-efficiency of 14.6 lm/W at 100 cd/m2 or current efficiency of 19.2 cd/A at 300 cd/m2 or 18.7 cd/A at 10,000 cd/m2 was obtained. The resulted synergistic increase in brightness and efficiency may be attributed to the presence of cascading new routes with comparatively lower electron injection barrier.  相似文献
