数学课堂分级教学的若干思考

优化课堂教学是提高教学质量的重要环节。本文从分级教学角度，对分级方法、教学内容、教学方法、考核方式等方面提出了优化课堂教学的思考。     

Chemometrics: Applications of Mathematics and Statistics to Laboratory Systems

Procedures for testing trends in the intensity functions of nonhomogeneous Poisson processes are based mostly on conditioning on the number of failures observed in (0, t] with fixed t. We study an unconditional test based on the time-truncated data that enables meaningful asymptotics as t → ∞. We show that the asymptotic test is conservative and that its power quickly comes close to the power of the uniformly most powerful unbiased test for the power-law alternatives. Moreover, for the goodness of fit of a specified intensity, the exact test has more power than the test based on the conditional approach. We illustrate the procedure using a real dataset.

Applications of limited-extent waves: an introduction

This feature issue of Applied Optics is devoted to the theoretical and the experimental aspects of Gabor and wavelet transforms and to their optical implementations and applications. Subjects related to the Gabor scheme and wavelets have evolved under the influence of ideas originating primarily in physics and engineering. The powerful mathematical formalism and techniques that have been recently introduced, have, however, stimulated much greater interest among scientists of various disciplines and backgrounds. The purpose of this feature issue of Applied Optics is to further stimulate interest in this topic in the community of scientists working on optical techniques, in which it is expected that important applications of these concepts and techniques have yet to be developed.     

Proximity Effect From an Andreev Perspective

The current understanding of the superconducting proximity effect is reviewed taking into account recent experimental and theoretical results obtained for mesoscopic normal metal-superconductor junctions as well as superconducting weak links. Although known for 40 years the phenomenon remained poorly understood. Current insights are the result of theoretical developments leading to the nonequilibrium quasiclassical theory, getting experimental access to proximity structures on a submicron scale as well as by combining it with the knowledge developed in the 80s on quantum transport in disordered and ballistic systems.
