In present days there are wide varieties of household electric appliances along with different power consumption habits of consumers, making identifying electric appliances without presetting difficulty. This paper introduces smart appliance management system to recognize electric appliances in home networks, which uses sensing devices that measure current to calculate the power consumption of the appliances. The system will set the characteristics and categories of each electric appliance, and then uses the classifications of the electronic energy features in order to recognize different appliances. The system searches the cluster data while eliminating noise for recognition functionality and error detection mechanism or the electric appliances using the current clustering algorithm. Afterwards the recognition are used to build a control list of appliances on the platform to provide appliance intercommunication. Simultaneously, the household appliance automatic control services are integrated by the system to control appliances based on userspower consumption plans to realize a bidirectional monitoring services. In actual experiments, the proposed system achieves a recognition rate or 95% as well as successfully controls general household electric appliances in home network.  相似文献

Algorithms for a system which performs in-service nonintrusive measurements of telephone line parameters such as echo path delay, echo attenuation, speech and noise levels are presented. It forms the theoretical background of a hardware implementation of the ITU-T P.561 recommendations for nonintrusive assessment of quality of a telephone network for voice transmissions. The type of input signal to the echo path, whether it is speech, fax, or data, has to be determined during the measurement procedure. In the system, the relevant parameters are estimated by means of frequency-domain block-processing algorithms and the estimation process is controlled by algorithms monitoring the signal flow. The complexity of the echo path estimation algorithm is determined and compared to a standard procedure based on the adaptive normalized least mean square (NMLS) algorithm. Simulations showing the performance of the system in single-and double-talk situations are presented. Examples of results from the hardware real-time implementation operating on an international connection are also shown  相似文献

An automatic monitoring system for home appliances using infrastructure-mediated sensing technology is presented. A practical solution for identifying the working states of electronic devices and determining the consumption of each device in a household is proposed. Initially, the components of Electromagnetic interference (EMI) noises in a residential power line are analyzed, and then the basic theory of Switched mode power supplies (SMPS) is discussed. Finally, a set of practical approaches has been proposed to detect and classify the electrical events, including a time-frequency transformation algorithm, power spectrum vector chasing, Gaussian function fitting and supervised pattern recognition, etc. The monitoring system has deployed into real houses and it successfully classifies SNIPS devices with accuracy from 92.6% to 99.2% for individual devices and 88.0% to 95.0% for multiple devices.  相似文献

In this article we report on our effort and experience in designing, deploying, and using our 30-node wireless mesh testbed, the University of California at Santa Barbara (UCSB) MeshNet. Compared to simulation, the construction and utilization of a wireless mesh testbed poses many new challenges. We discuss the challenges with distributed testbed management, nonintrusive and distributed monitoring, and node status visualization. These are vital components in a sustainable wireless mesh testbed, but at the same time nontrivial to design and. realize. As a case study, we present the UCSB MeshNet architecture, including its management, monitoring, and visualization systems. We share our lessons learned from this effort and believe that they are valuable to other researchers who develop experimental wireless mesh networks.  相似文献

The authors study the feasibility of automatically monitoring a television picture for the purpose of knowing whether or not impairments resulting from intermodulation beats are present. They develop a mathematical model for the intermodulation beats and show that the theoretical results confirm the experimental ones. These results show that by using the two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform of a picture the automatic detection and recognition of intermodulation distortion is feasible. The results demonstrate, contrary to common belief, that it is possible to monitor the signal in a nonintrusive fashion  相似文献

A nonintrusive method of current cartography inside a component is presented. The measurement of the current density in metallized film capacitors has numerous applications, including nondestructive testing, new component design, and validation of existing models on current distribution in capacitors. The method is based upon the measurement of the magnetic field created by a capacitor and the current density reconstruction by means of inverse problem methodology. The experimental setup comprises of a radio-frequency generator operating between 10 to 1000 MHz, a near-field probe, an XY positioning table and a computer used for control and data acquisition. The first results confirm that, near some frequencies, the current density in the capacitor becomes nonhomogeneous and increases dramatically in some areas.  相似文献

This paper deals with the detection of mechanical load faults in induction motors during speed transients. The detection strategy is based on stator current analysis. Mechanical load faults generally lead to load torque oscillations at specific frequencies related to the mechanical rotor speed. The torque oscillations produce a characteristic sinusoidal phase modulation of the stator current. Speed transients result in time-varying supply frequencies that prevent the use of classical, Fourier transform-based spectral estimation. This paper proposes the use of a time-frequency distribution, the Wigner Distribution, for stator current analysis. Fault indicators are extracted from the distribution for on-line condition monitoring. The proposed methods are implemented on a low-cost digital signal processor. Experimental results in a steady-state and during transients with load torque oscillations and load imbalance are presented.  相似文献

Network fault identification is an important network management function, which is closely related to fault management and has an impact on other network management functions such as configuration management, and performance management. This paper investigates fault surveillance and fault identification mechanisms for a transparent optical network in which data travels optically from the source node to the destination node without going through any optical-to-electrical (O/E) or electrical-to-optical (E/O) conversion. Mechanisms and algorithms are proposed to detect and isolate faults such as fiber cuts, laser, receiver, or router failures. A load-adaptive automatic switching frequency selection scheme is proposed to improve the power efficiency of a switching buck converter at light load condition. The buck converter operates in the continuous-conduction mode for heavy loading and the switching frequency is fixed at its maximum value. For light loading, the buck converter operates in the discontinuous-conduction mode and its switching frequency is automatically selected among a pre-defined set of frequencies according to the amount of the load current. The load current can be sensed indirectly by monitoring the on-time of power transistor because it is a function of the load current. With the proposed load-adaptive automatic switching frequency selection circuit, the power efficiency of a buck converter implemented in a 0.35-μm 2P4M BCDMOS technology is improved by 24.0-% when the load current load is 10-mA.  相似文献

针对飞机发动机润滑油在线监测系统中传感器的负载特性,基于DDS和电流反馈放大器设计了一个程控交流电流源.由MSP430单片机控制直接数字合成芯片,驱动电流反馈放大器AD844及高频运算放大器AD811构成精确程控电流源.当电感在1~2mH,激励频率在3kHz左右时,恒流源输出8mA电流并且幅值变化小于1%.  相似文献

Health monitoring of the power conversion system is very important. Therefore, we developed a new method for measuring IGBT currents and reproducing average load current to monitor IGBTs. This method was successfully tested on an experimental setup which showed that the tiny PCB sensors can be integrated into intelligent power modules. We proposed an inexpensive analogue circuit which is suitable for capturing current information from a tiny PCB Rogowski coil. The sensors and corresponding circuit can be embedded into an Intelligent Power Module. The method was named “Envelop tracking” as it simultaneously measures the currents of the high and low side switches of a power converter and reproduces the upper and lower edges of the load current which can be averaged by further digital processing.  相似文献
