Stability of an interconnected system consisting of two switched systems is investigated in the scenario where in both switched systems there may exist some subsystems that are not input-to-state stable (non-ISS). We show that, providing the switching signals neither switch too frequently nor activate non-ISS subsystems for too long, a small-gain theorem can be used to conclude global asymptotic stability (GAS) of the interconnected system. For each switched system, with the constraints on the switching signal being modeled by an auxiliary timer, a correspondent hybrid system is defined to enable the construction of a hybrid ISS Lyapunov function. Apart from justifying the ISS property of their corresponding switched systems, these hybrid ISS Lyapunov functions are then combined to establish a Lyapunov-type small-gain condition which guarantees that the interconnected system is globally asymptotically stable.  相似文献

In this paper, a robust switching signal estimation approach is presented for a class of uncertain nonlinear switched systems using a sliding mode robust observer on the continuous state vector of system. In this approach, the estimation of switching signal is achieved at a bounded and arbitrary small time in spite of un-modelled uncertainties. The developed estimation technique can also be employed on mode-dependent control methods to reach a practical controller for nonlinear switched systems with the inaccessible switching signal. The simulation results illustrate the capability of proposed method.  相似文献

This paper proposes a robust output feedback controller for a class of nonlinear systems to track a desired trajectory. Our main goal is to ensure the global input-to-state stability (ISS) property of the tracking error nonlinear dynamics with respect to the unknown structural system uncertainties and external disturbances. Our approach consists of constructing a nonlinear observer to reconstruct the unavailable states, and then designing a discontinuous controller using a back-stepping like design procedure to ensure the ISS property. The observer design is realized through state transformation and there is only one parameter to be determined. Through solving a Hamilton–Jacoby inequality, the nonlinear control law for the first subsystem specifies a nonlinear switching surface. By virtue of nonlinear control for the first subsystem, the resulting sliding manifold in the sliding phase possesses the desired ISS property and to certain extent the optimality. Associated with the new switching surface, the sliding mode control is applied to the second subsystem to accomplish the tracking task. As a result, the tracking error is bounded and the ISS property of the whole system can be ensured while the internal stability is also achieved. Finally, an example is presented to show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme. Copyright © 2007 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.  相似文献

The problems of stability and robust tracking control for a class of switched nonlinear systems with uncertain input and state delays are investigated in this study. In the presence of unknown functions and external disturbances, an adaptive fuzzy technique based on nonlinear disturbance observer is used to counteract the effects of external disturbances and approximate unknown functions. For this purpose, it is first assumed that a common Lyapunov function exists for the switched system, and then a new common Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional is built using the terms of the hypothetical common Lyapunov function. By employing this new function, the delay-dependent input-to-state stability (ISS) under an arbitrary switching signal is provided. The robust tracking control problem for this system is investigated next. Finally, to assure ISS and robust tracking performance, an adaptive control law is developed that ensures conditions of the aforementioned hypothetical common Lyapunov function. In addition, to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed strategy, the aforesaid method is applied to a vehicle roll dynamic as well as a mass-spring system.  相似文献

For a class of second-order switched systems consisting of two linear time-invariant (LTI) subsystems, we show that the so-called conic switching law proposed previously by the present authors is robust, not only in the sense that the control law is flexible (to be explained further), but also in the sense that the Lyapunov stability (resp., Lagrange stability) properties of the switched system are preserved in the presence of certain kinds of vanishing perturbations (resp., nonvanishing perturbations). The analysis is possible since the conic switching laws always possess certain kinds of “quasi-periodic switching operations”. We also propose for a class of nonlinear second-order switched systems with time-invariant subsystems a switching control law which locally exponentially stabilizes the entire nonlinear switched system, provided that the conic switching law exponentially stabilizes the linearized switched systems (consisting of the linearization of each nonlinear subsystem). This switched control law is robust in the sense mentioned above.  相似文献

This work presents a hybrid nonlinear control methodology for a broad class of switched nonlinear systems with input constraints. The key feature of the proposed methodology is the integrated synthesis, via multiple Lyapunov functions, of “lower-level” bounded nonlinear feedback controllers together with “upper-level” switching laws that orchestrate the transitions between the constituent modes and their respective controllers. Both the state and output feedback control problems are addressed. Under the assumption of availability of full state measurements, a family of bounded nonlinear state feedback controllers are initially designed to enforce asymptotic stability for the individual closed-loop modes and provide an explicit characterization of the corresponding stability region for each mode. A set of switching laws are then designed to track the evolution of the state and orchestrate switching between the stability regions of the constituent modes in a way that guarantees asymptotic stability of the overall switched closed-loop system. When complete state measurements are unavailable, a family of output feedback controllers are synthesized, using a combination of bounded state feedback controllers, high-gain observers and appropriate saturation filters to enforce asymptotic stability for the individual closed-loop modes and provide an explicit characterization of the corresponding output feedback stability regions in terms of the input constraints and the observer gain. A different set of switching rules, based on the evolution of the state estimates generated by the observers, is designed to orchestrate stabilizing transitions between the output feedback stability regions of the constituent modes. The differences between the state and output feedback switching strategies, and their implications for the switching logic, are discussed and a chemical process example is used to demonstrate the proposed approach.  相似文献

Input-to-state stability of switched nonlinear systems   总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
The input-to-state stability (ISS) problem is studied for switched systems with infinite subsystems. By using multiple Lyapunov function method, a sufficient ISS condition is given based on a quantitative relation of the control and the values of the Lyapunov functions of the subsystems before and after the switching instants. In terms of the average dwell-time of the switching laws, some sufficient ISS conditions are obtained for switched nonlinear systems and switched linear systems, respectively.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the problem of input‐to‐state stability (ISS) for a class of switched nonlinear delay systems. The cases where the switching signal of the system and the switching signal of the corresponding controller are synchronous and asynchronous are both considered. To study two asynchronous switching signals in a unified framework, we adopt the technique of the merging switching signal. Based on a piecewise Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional method, some sufficient conditions are explicitly given to guarantee the ISS of the switched nonlinear delay system under the average dwell time scheme. Finally, a numerical example is presented to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed theory.  相似文献

Combined stabilizing strategies for switched linear systems   总被引:2,自引:0,他引:2
For a class of switched linear systems, we propose a switching strategy that combines time-driven switching with event-driven switching. This switching strategy not only makes the switched systems stable, but also reduces the switching frequency in contrast with the existing switching laws. In addition, the switching law is robust against (time-varying and nonlinear) system perturbations. We prove that, under this switching law, the perturbed systems are bounded for bounded perturbations, convergent for convergent perturbations, and exponentially convergent for exponentially convergent perturbations. For switched linear systems with measured outputs, we also develop an observer-based switching strategy which robustly stabilizes the perturbed systems.  相似文献

In this paper, the problem of adaptive fuzzy tracking control is investigated for switched nonlinear pure-feedback systems under arbitrary switching. By utilising mean value theorem, the considered pure-feedback systems are transformed into a class of switched nonlinear strict-feedback systems. Compared with the existing results, a priori knowledge of control directions is not required. On the other hand, differing from the existing literatures, the piecewise switched adaptive laws are designed to replace the common adaptive laws, which can reduce the conservativeness. Furthermore, the difficulties from how to deal with the unknown control directions and design common virtual control are overcome. Based on the backstepping technique and the common Lyapunov functions, an adaptive fuzzy control scheme is developed to guarantee that all the signals in the closed-loop system are semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded with the tracking error converging to a neighbourhood of the origin. Simulation results are provided to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed techniques.  相似文献

For some switched nonlinear systems, stabilization can be achieved under arbitrary switching with state feedback control. Due to switching zero dynamics, output feedback stabilization for some switched nonlinear systems needs dwell time between switching to guarantee system stability. In this paper, we consider a class of switched nonlinear systems with unknown parameters and unknown switching signals. We design a robust output feedback controller that stabilizes the system under a class of switching signals with average dwell time (ADT) where the value of ADT can be reduced by adjusting the control gain. For some special cases, common quadratic Lyapunov functions of the closed‐loop systems can be found and the value of ADT is further relaxed. Some examples and simulations are provided to validate the results.  相似文献

This paper studies the problem of stabilisation of switched nonlinear systems with output and input constraints. We propose a recursive approach to solve this issue. None of the subsystems are assumed to be stablisable while the switched system is stabilised by dual design of controllers for subsystems and a switching law. When only dealing with bounded input, we provide nested switching controllers using an extended backstepping procedure. If both input and output constraints are taken into consideration, a Barrier Lyapunov Function is employed during operation to construct multiple Lyapunov functions for switched nonlinear system in the backstepping procedure. As a practical example, the control design of an equilibrium manifold expansion model of aero-engine is given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed design method.  相似文献

ABSTRACT

This paper considers the output-feedback fault-tolerant tracking control problem for a class of uncertain nonlinear switched systems with nonlinear faults and strict-feedback form, where the faults which are nonaffine occur on the actuator. As a kind of specialised function approximating tool, fuzzy logic systems (FLSs), are employed to approximate the unknown smooth nonlinear functions. A switched fuzzy observer is designed to address the problem of unmeasurable states, filtered signals are used to address algebraic loop problem and the average dwell time (ADT) method is further utilised to prove the stability of the resulting closed-loop systems under a type of slowly switching signals. Based on the backstepping recursive design technique and Lyapunov function method, an adaptive fuzzy output-feedback control scheme is developed. The developed control method can ensure all the signals are semi-globally uniformly ultimately bounded (SGUUB) and the system output tracks the reference signal tightly even if unknown fault occurs. A simulation carried on an example demonstrates the validity of the obtained control scheme.  相似文献

In this paper we present converse Lyapunov theorems for ISS and integral input to state stable (iISS) switched nonlinear systems. Their proofs are based on existing converse Lyapunov theorems for input–output to state stable and iISS nonlinear systems, and on the association of the switched system with a nonlinear system with inputs and disturbances that take values in a compact set.  相似文献

This summary addresses the input‐to‐state stability (ISS) and integral ISS (iISS) problems of impulsive switched nonlinear time‐delay systems (ISNTDSs) under two asynchronous switching effects. In our investigated systems, impulsive instants and switching instants do not necessarily coincide with each other. Meanwhile, systems switching signals are not simultaneous with the corresponding controllers switching signals, which will induce instability seriously, and cause many difficulties and challenges. By utilizing methods of Lyapunov‐Krasovskii and Lyapunov‐Razumikhin, mode‐dependent average dwell time approach, and mode‐dependent average impulsive interval technique, some stability criteria are presented for ISNTDSs under two asynchronous switching effects. Our proposed results improve the related existing results on the same topic by removing some restrictive conditions and cover some existing results as special cases. Finally, some simulation examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness and advantages of our results.  相似文献

In this paper, we focus on the problem of adaptive stabilization for a class of uncertain switched nonlinear systems, whose non-switching part consists of feedback linearizable dynamics. The main result is that we propose adaptive controllers such that the considered switched systems with unknown parameters can be stabilized under arbitrary switching signals. First, we design the adaptive state feedback controller based on tuning the estimations of the bounds on switching parameters in the transformed system, instead of estimating the switching parameters directly. Next, by incorporating some augmented design parameters, the adaptive output feedback controller is designed. The proposed approach allows us to construct a common Lyapunov function and thus the closed-loop system can be stabilized without the restriction on dwell-time, which is needed in most of the existing results considering output feedback control. A numerical example and computer simulations are provided to validate the proposed controllers.  相似文献

This paper deals with the funnel‐like prescribed tracking control problem for a class of uncertain nonlinear stochastic switched systems. An improved performance technique is developed to restrain the fluctuation at the moment of switches and a new algorithm is proposed to address the funnel‐like prescribed tracking problem. First, a dynamic gain‐based switched K‐filter is constructed to estimate the unmeasured state information of the switched system. Subsequently, the performance technique is applied to prescribe output tracking error and restrain fluctuations of the system. Thereafter, the dynamic output feedback switched controller is designed by the use of the backstepping method. Moreover, based on the Lyapunov stability theory, it is proved strictly that all signals of the resulting closed‐loop system are bounded in probability if the switching signal satisfies the average dwell time. Finally, a numerical simulation is presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed theoretical results.  相似文献
