Setup planning plays a crucial role in CAPP to ensure product quality while maintaining acceptable manufacturing cost. The tasks of setup planning include identifying manufacturing features and corresponding manufacturing processes, determining the number of setups, part orientation, locating datum and process sequence in each setup, and selecting machine tools and fixtures. An automated setup planning technique and system has been developed based on not only the tolerance analysis, but also the manufacturing resource capability analysis. The automated setup planning is divided into two levels: setup planning in single part level and in machine station level. Algorithms for setup generation and process sequencing have been developed and a case study of setup planning is presented.  相似文献

高速加工是以较快生产节拍进行加工 ,提高切削和进刀速度是高速加工技术的重要环节。高速加工技术的发展涉及到零件毛坯、刀具、机床、自动控制与检测等多种技术的综合优化 ,需要变革传统的机加工工艺路线。我国引进的轿车零部件数控自动生产线上已广泛应用高速加工技术 ,其主要目的是在确保产品质量的前提下 ,尽量缩短零件的机加工工艺路线 ,加快生产节拍 (轿车发动机生产节拍已缩短为 30秒 ) ,满足轿车高质量、高速率、低成本、大批量、社会化生产的技术要求。高速加工技术必将带动零件毛坯制造、刀具 (工具 )、数控机床、自动控制、在线检测、材料等技术的发展与进步。随着我国制造业加快融入全球化生产制造体系 ,预计高速加工技术将在信息化、柔性化机械加工领域得到进一步发展和推广应用  相似文献

The basic attributes of any industrial machine are productivity rate, quality of products, as well as the cost and flexibility of manufacturing systems. Attributes of productivity are related to the theory of reliability, let alone the theory of efficiency of machines. The main attribute of reliability with any industrial machine is availability, which is the integrated index of the machine's reliability. The availability of industrial machines with complex designs should be a constituent of equations on productivity rate. This paper develops analytical equations of productivity rate with the availability of automated lines as a function of structural, technical and technological parameters of industrial machines. The equations allow for the output of automated lines to be modelled and their structures to be defined according to the level of productivity and availability.  相似文献

As energy efficiency is one of the key essentials towards sustainability, the development of an energy-resource efficient manufacturing system is among the great challenges facing the current industry. Meanwhile, the availability of advanced technological innovation has created more complex manufacturing systems that involve a large variety of processes and machines serving different functions. To extend the limited knowledge on energy-efficient scheduling, the research presented in this paper attempts to model the production schedule at an operation process by considering the balance of energy consumption reduction in production, production work flow (productivity) and quality. An innovative systematic approach to manufacturing energy-resource efficiency is proposed with the virtual simulation as a predictive modelling enabler, which provides real-time manufacturing monitoring, virtual displays and decision-makings and consequentially an analytical and multidimensional correlation analysis on interdependent relationships among energy consumption, work flow and quality errors. The regression analysis results demonstrate positive relationships between the work flow and quality errors and the work flow and energy consumption. When production scheduling is controlled through optimization of work flow, quality errors and overall energy consumption, the energy-resource efficiency can be achieved in the production. Together, this proposed multidimensional modelling and analysis approach provides optimal conditions for the production scheduling at the manufacturing system by taking account of production quality, energy consumption and resource efficiency, which can lead to the key competitive advantages and sustainability of the system operations in the industry.  相似文献

Productivity has often been cited as a key factor in a flexible manufacturing system (FMS) performance, and actions to increase it are said to improve profitability and the wage earning capacity of employees. Improving productivity is seen as a key issue for survival and success in the long term of a manufacturing system. The purpose of this paper is to make a model and analysis of the productivity variables of FMS. This study was performed by different approaches viz. interpretive structural modelling (ISM), structural equation modelling (SEM), graph theory and matrix approach (GTMA) and a cross-sectional survey within manufacturing firms in India. ISM has been used to develop a model of productivity variables, and then it has been analyzed. Exploratory factor analysis (EFA) and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) are powerful statistical techniques. CFA is carried by SEM. EFA is applied to extract the factors in FMS by the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS 20) software and confirming these factors by CFA through analysis of moment structures (AMOS 20) software. The twenty productivity variables are identified through literature and four factors extracted, which involves the productivity of FMS. The four factors are people, quality, machine and flexibility. SEM using AMOS 20 was used to perform the first order four-factor structures. GTMA is a multiple attribute decision making (MADM) methodology used to find intensity/quantification of productivity variables in an organization. Combinatorial resource planning for both machines and human resources in a computer numerical controlled (CNC) machining workstation has become a crucial factor for long-term manufacturing management. This paper not only mathematically constructs the combinatorial manufacturing resource planning (CMRP) model with the conception of balancing the machine productivity and the human capability, but also develops a step-by-step algorithm to reach the maximum-profit solution under the deterministic market demand. Additionally, to extend the applicability of the CMRP model, a computer program written with MATLAB is comprehensively prepared to achieve the optimum manufacturing resource planning under the forecasts of probabilistic market demand and product sales price. The versatility and adaptability of this study are exemplified through a numerical illustration from real-world industry. This paper contributes to the problem of conclusively scheduling machine productivity and human resources, as well as comprehensively optimising the production profit for the existing CNC machining industry .  相似文献

The increased use of flexible manufacturing systems to provide customers with diversified products efficiently has created a significant set of operational challenges for managers. This technology poses a number of decision problems that need to be solved by researchers and practitioners. In the literature, there have been a number of attempts to solve design and operational problems. Special attention has been given to machine loading problems, which involve the assignment of job operations and allocation of tools and resources to optimize specific measures of productivity. Most existing studies focus on modeling the problem and developing heuristics in order to optimize certain performance metrics rather than on understanding the problem and the interaction between the different factors in the system. The objective of this paper is to study the machine loading problem. More specifically, we compare operation aggregation and disaggregation policies in a random flexible manufacturing system (FMS) and analyze its interaction with other factors such as routing flexibility, sequencing flexibility, machine load, buffer capacity, and alternative processing-time ratio. For this purpose, a simulation study is conducted and the results are analyzed by statistical methods. The analysis of results highlights the important factors and their levels that could yield near-optimal system performance.  相似文献

This paper presents the results of a conceptual study and simulation experimentation aimed at understanding the impact of three important types of flexibility on the lead-time performance of a manufacturing system. The three flexibility types, viz. transformation flexibility, sequencing flexibility and product flexibility have been identified based on a new conceptual model for flexibility in manufacturing systems and supply chains. The influence of these three flexibility types has been studied using simulation models. The studies indicated that among the three, product flexibility has the greatest influence followed by transformation flexibility and the sequencing flexibility. The reasons for the inferior performance of sequencing flexibility is found to be reduction of dynamic flexibility levels as compared to its static flexibility levels and the reasons for superior performance of product flexibility is found to be the lower movement of products within the manufacturing system.  相似文献

The finishing processes of industrial components use grinding due to the elevated quality generated by this method. Centerless grinding is among the main manufacturing processes due to its high flexibility, accuracy, and great volume of production that is necessary in modern industry. However, the dressing operation has been a pronounced bottleneck in the centerless grinding process due to the time lost to make the corrections in the grinding wheel. This work presents an optimization of the dressing operation in centerless grinding using load cells and the Taguchi method. The experimental tests were carried out on the shop floor of a manufacturer of shock absorbers. The input parameters were the depth of dressing, the feed rate of dressing, the diameter of the grinding wheel, and the speed of the regulating wheel. The responses were the surface roughness, the roundness error, and the dressing force. The results show that the dressing time was reduced, generating an increase in machine productivity, the surface roughness of the work pieces was reduced with an improvement in quality, and the dressing force was proportional to the depth of dressing.  相似文献

The continuous demand for higher productivity and product quality asks for better optimizing of the machining process. In this case, numerical controlled (NC) milling is a processing technology massively applied in the metal manufacturing industry; it has received very important interest in this century because it has a very high productivity and high work piece surface quality. The main objective of this work is to evaluate the machining time of different cycles, in 2.5?D NC milling. The prediction of the optimal values of cutting speed was analyzed to minimize both time and cost of die production. Optimum and economical values of cutting speed give, respectively, minimum production time and minimum production cost. An experimental study is carried out to validate machining time calculation models developed in this work. The cutting parameters analyzed in this study are cutting speed, feed per tooth, and the radial cutting depth.  相似文献
