A voltage-mode first-order allpass filter using one differential difference current conveyor (DDCC), one grounded capacitor and one floating resistor is presented. No passive component matching constraints are required. Because the output impedance of the proposed allpass filter is low, the output terminal can be directly connected to the next stage. Using the proposed first-order allpass filter as a basic building block, a new quadrature oscillator and even-phase sinusoidal oscillators can be obtained. The simulation results confirm the theoretical analysis.  相似文献

This paper introduces interesting active element and its application in the field of square and triangular wave generators. Active element, so-called Z-Copy Controlled Gain Voltage Differencing Current Conveyor (ZC-CG-VDCC), has availability of three mutually independently and electronically adjustable parameters (transconductance, intrinsic resistance of the current input terminal and current gain between two terminals) that are very popular for control of applications today. In addition, a proposed device utilizes very useful z-copy (additional auxiliary terminal) features and two terminals providing voltage difference. All mentioned features are beneficial in mixed-mode circuit synthesis and design of adjustable applications (active filters, oscillators, generators, modulators, etc.). Electronically adjustable properties of the device are involved in the design of an adjustable generator. The generator provides voltage- and current-mode square wave outputs that can be also used for differential square wave output when very simply modified. Application of the generator in simple pulse width modulator (PWM) is also introduced. A detailed analysis and Spice simulation results are given and main features of the circuits are compared to electronically controllable solutions of recent development in this field.  相似文献

The realisation of two electronically tunable current-mode quadrature oscillators using Current Controlled Current Conveyor Tranconductance Amplifiers (CCCCTAs) and grounded capacitors is presented. The proposed circuits offer the following advantages. The condition of oscillation and the frequency of oscillation can be orthogonally controlled. Availability of electronic control of amplitude of output current is achieved. The oscillators have high outputs impedance which facilitates easy driving an external load without additional current buffers. The proposed circuits are constructed by using two active elements and all grounded capacitors which are attractive for integration and have low active and passive sensitivities. The PSPICE simulation and experimental results are included to show the workability of the proposed circuit.  相似文献

An examination of the technical literature on grounded-capacitor (GC) single resistance controlled oscillators (SRCO) has revealed that no GC-SRCO has so far been published which uses only a single active building block (ABB), only two GCs and provides a current mode (CM) output with simple design equations and unconstrained tuning law. The authors not only introduce such a circuit which uses a single ABB called a `differential voltage complementary current conveyor' (DVCCC) but also indicate that a DVCCC is a versatile building block for realising SRCOs. The four terminal Current feedback op-amps (CFOA) with an external compensation pin, such as AD844, have received prominent attention during the past decade as alternative building blocks for analog circuit design because of their significant advantages over the traditional voltage-mode op-amp (VOA). A popular application of CFOAs has been in realizing voltage-mode (VM) and current-mode (CM) biquad filters. Previously known universal CM biquads (i.e. those capable of realizing all the five generic filter functions namely, low-pass, band-pass, high-pass, notch and all-pass) realizable with CFOAs require two to nine CFOAs. Although a few dual-function/three-function single-CFOA-based CM circuits have appeared in literature, no single-CFOA-based canonic universal CM biquad with explicit CM output has been reported in the literature up until now. This paper fills this void by presenting a set of eight minimal universal CM biquads all of which are realizable with only a single CFOA. The non-ideal analysis of the proposed circuits has been presented, their comparative features, advantages and limitations have been brought out. The workability of all the proposed circuits has been confirmed by PSPICE simulations and experimental results based upon AD844 type CFOAs.  相似文献

Ring oscillators have been realised using a combination of both types of inverter to achieve stable high frequency oscillation. This article presents a new realisation of active RC sinusoidal oscillator with electronically tunable condition and frequency of oscillation (FO). As compared to the class of three resistors, two capacitors (3R-2C)-based canonic oscillators, the circuit proposed here uses only two resistors and two capacitors as the passive components and still provides non-interactive tuning laws for the condition of oscillation and the FO. The proposed circuit employs new bipolar programmable current amplifier as the active building block and is capable of simultaneously providing two explicit quadrature current outputs. SPICE simulation results have been included to verify the workability of the circuit as an oscillator and the tuning range of the FO.  相似文献

Because of their several advantages over the traditional voltage mode op-amp, current feedback op-amps (CFOAs) have attracted prominent attention as alternative building blocks for biquad filter realization. The (second generation) current conveyor is a building block that can be used to design linear circuits. Current conveyors have been used to design oscillators, filters and simulated inductors. This paper presents a simple procedure for analysing circuits that contain current conveyors. The procedure is well suited for manual calculations. It is also easily programmed and is compatible with a previously published algorithm for the computer analysis of linear networks. An important feature of the procedure is that it can be used to analyse networks containing non-ideal current conveyors.  相似文献

In this paper, a CMOS realization of the current differencing transconductance amplifier (CDTA) is given, which is a newly reported active building block for current-mode signal processing. Current differencing stage of the CDTA element is realized using a differential current-controlled current source and in the output stage, floating current sources are used to convert intermediate voltage of z terminal to output currents. Due to the compactness of the circuit, it is capable of high-frequency operation and suitable for video signal-processing applications. The CDTA element is used in a current-mode anti-aliasing video filter, which is designed using operational simulation of a seventh-order passive elliptic filter, so the resulting active filter has the low sensitivity feature of its passive counterpart. The filter has 0.1 dB maximum pass band ripple as imposed by ITU video anti-aliasing filter standard. SPICE-simulation results of both the CDTA element and the seventh-order elliptic filter are given. Simulation results are found in close agreement with theoretical results.  相似文献

A novel topology of current mirror (CM) with tunable output current is proposed. Two methods for output current tuning are presented. The first one utilizes an analog input voltage for linear current output, and the second one has an N-bit digital input signal for 2N un-continuous current outputs. A linearization method for low noise amplifier (LNA) is proposed and realized with this tunable CM. As the provider of the bias current, the CM has brought the LNA a lower NF (noise figure) and a higher IIP3 (input-referred third-order intercept point) compared with a conventional one. The experimental results show that the LNA achieves 1.47 dB NF and + 19.83 dBm IIP3 at 860 MHz.  相似文献

A novel configuration for realizing voltage/current-mode (VM/CM) universal filter using a single four terminal floating nullor (FTFN), a single current feedback amplifier (CFA), two capacitors and three resistors is presented. The VM configuration has three inputs and a single output and implements all the five generic filtering functions through the selection of inputs. This topology enjoys cascadability and does not require any additional active element for facilitating the filter realizations. The same circuit in current-mode has a single input and four outputs and realizes LP, HP and two BP responses simultaneously from which AP and Notch can also be realized. This topology uses grounded resistors and capacitors which are ideal for monolithic integration. Both the topologies enjoy orthogonal control of natural frequency (ω0) and quality factor (Q) by the grounded resistors. The topologies enjoy low active and passive sensitivity figures. Experimental and PSPICE simulation results are also included.  相似文献

This paper presents a versatile voltage-mode universal active filter with one input and five output terminals. The proposed circuit is based on using the recently reported active building block, namely differential difference current conveyor transconductance amplifier (DDCCTA). It employs two DDCCTAs as active elements together with two resistors and two capacitors as passive elements, which are all grounded. The circuit simultaneously realizes all the five standard biquadratic filter functions; i.e., lowpass (LP), bandpass (BP), highpass (HP), bandstop (BS) and allpass (AP), without changing circuit topology. The proposed circuit also has the advantage of high-input impedance terminal, and exhibits electronic tunability of its important parameters through the bias current of the DDCCTA as well as low sensitivity performance. PSPICE simulations using 0.5 μm MIETEC CMOS process are used to validate the theoretical predictions.  相似文献

A Josephson single-flux-quantum voltage/frequency multiplier circuit is proposed as the basic building block for a new generation of voltage standards. The circuit uses magnetic coupling to synchronize a series array of independent junction oscillators to the flux flow in a Josephson transmission line. A cascade of these circuits can multiply an arbitrarily low input frequency up to the frequency limit of the circuit (≃250 GHz) and then add the voltages across approximately 30000 oscillators to generate precise voltages up to 10 V. Because the oscillators can be switched on and off with a bias current, the output voltage is rapidly programmable. A complete design for a voltage standard programmable in 1.2-μV increments to a maximum of 10 V is proposed. Using existing fabrication technology, the circuit would cover a substrate area of about 1 cm2 and use 67210 junctions  相似文献

In this study, both current and transimpedance mode instrumentation amplification operations are met through a new active building block proposal, namely Current DifferencingTransresistance Amplifier block, CDTRA. In order to regard CDTRA as an instrumentation amplifier (IA), two grounded passive resistors are needed. Passive resistors together with electronically tunable transresistance parameter of active block, rm, set versatility over gain tunability for instrumentation amplifier. Proposed active block is current input, current/voltage output design. It has low impedance input, high impedance for current output, and low impedance for voltage output respectively. Since this particular IA is based on CDTRA, then it inherits these electrical characteristics fully. Numerous SPICE simulations are performed through the paper to verify validity of the study. TSMC 0.18 µm CMOS technology parameters are utilized through simulations. Experimental work is performed for the proposed IA circuit.  相似文献

Although a number of single current feedback op-amps (CFOA)-based single-resistance-controlled oscillators (SRCO) have appeared in earlier literature, only six of them are canonic (i.e., requiring only two capacitors and only three resistors). The object of this brief is to add to this list two new canonic single-CFOA-based SRCO configurations. A voltage-mode Multiphase Sinusoidal Oscillator realized using Second Generation Current Conveyors and only grounded passive elements is introduced in this paper. The proposed topology is suitable for realizing oscillators with both odd and even number of phases without modifying the core of the topology. Only non-inverting Current Conveyors are required for the construction of the oscillator's topology and this is a benefit from the discrete component implementation point of view. The behavior of the proposed topology has been evaluated, through experimental results, in the cases of three and six-phase oscillators.  相似文献

This letter proposes a new realization of voltage/current-mode (CM) quadrature oscillator (QO) using Current Differencing Transconductance Amplifier (CDTA) as the active element. The proposed circuit employs canonic number of components, namely two CDTAs, one resistor and two grounded capacitors. The oscillator is capable of providing two explicit quadrature current outputs and two quadrature voltage outputs. Moreover, the circuit enjoys the advantage of independent control of condition of oscillation (CO) and frequency of oscillation (FO). The non-ideal analysis and sensitivity study of the circuit has been carried out and the circuit exhibits a good sensitivity performance.
