The optimum stacking sequence design for the maximum fundamental frequency of symmetrically laminated composite circular plates with curvilinear fibres is investigated for the first time using a layer-wise optimization method. The design variables are two fibre orientation angles per layer. The fibre paths are constructed using the method of shifted paths. The first-order shear deformation plate theory and a curved square p-element are used to calculate the objective function. The blending function method is used to model accurately the geometry of the circular plate. The equations of motion are derived using Lagrange’s method. The numerical results are validated by means of a convergence test and comparison with published values for symmetrically laminated composite circular plates with rectilinear fibres. The material parameters, boundary conditions, number of layers and thickness are shown to influence the optimum solutions to different extents. The results should serve as a benchmark for optimum stacking sequences of symmetrically laminated composite circular plates with curvilinear fibres.  相似文献

The performance of a bonded repair for cracked holes has been studied using the three dimensional finite element method, linear elastic fracture mechanics and strain energy density theory. Increasing the composite patch size reduces the strain energy level at the crack tip; increasing the patch length normal to the crack is a better choice. The stacking sequences of the laminated patch have little influence on the strain energy distribution in the vicinity of the crack. To repair the cracked holes of aircraft components subjected to variable direction loading during flight, the orientations of the patch ply, 90° and ±45° with respect to the crack direction, are the optimum selection in bonded repairs.  相似文献

针对具有典型铺设角 的开孔碳纤维层合板, 采用三维有限元数值模拟方法, 分析了在单向拉伸载荷作用下孔边附近的层间应力, 讨论了界面层参数对层间应力的影响, 详细给出了典型铺设角之间层间应力的分布规律和最大层间应力产生的位置。结果表明: 对于相同铺设角的界面层, 沿厚度方向的位置影响层间应力的大小, 但不影响分布趋势; 而铺层顺序(如 或 )对层间应力的大小和分布趋势影响则较小。最大层间正应力产生于 的界面层, 位于与拉伸方向成90°的位置, 是外加拉伸应力的51%; 最大层间剪应力产生于 的界面层, 最大层间环向剪应力位于与拉伸方向成74°的位置, 是外加拉伸应力的64%; 而最大层间径向剪应力位于与拉伸方向成66°的位置, 是外加拉伸应力的25%。   相似文献

In the present study, interlaminar stresses resulting from bending of thick rectangular laminated plates with arbitrary laminations and boundary conditions are analyzed analytically based on a three-dimensional multi-term extended Kantorovich method (3DMTEKM). Using the principle of minimum total potential energy, three systems of coupled ordinary differential equations with non-homogeneous boundary conditions are obtained. Then an iterative procedure is established to achieve analytical solution. The results obtained from this theory are compared with those of analytical solutions existing in the literature. It is found that the present results have excellent agreements with those obtained by layerwise theory. The results show that the multi-term EKM converges within only three terms of trial functions and the single-term EKM is not able to estimate the local interlaminar stresses near the boundaries of laminates. Finally, the power of the present approach in obtaining the interlaminar stresses in thick rectangular laminated plates with general types of boundary conditions and lay-ups is examined.  相似文献

External variations in temperature and moisture are of primary importance for the long term behaviour of structures made of polymer matrix composites, because they induce residual stresses within laminated composite plates. It was shown (Hahn et al., 1978; Benkeddad et al., 1995, 1996; Tounsi et al., 2000, 2002, 2004; Adda-Bedia et al., 2001; Tounsi and Adda-Bedia, 2003a, b) that the heterogeneity and the anisotropy of such plates, have an influence on the distribution of transient hygroscopic stresses through the thickness of composite plates. The aim of the present paper is to present a simplified approach for the calculation of transient hygroscopic stresses within unidirectional laminates in the case where these latter are exposed to the cyclic and unsymmetric environmental conditions. Several examples are presented to assess such stresses and to demonstrate the efficiency of the used method. These stresses have to be taken into consideration for the design of composite structures submitted to a moist environment.  相似文献

以层合板结构的临界屈曲载荷系数最大化为优化目标,基于改进型模拟退火算法对层合板结构铺设角度和铺层顺序进行优化。由于层合板结构的铺层角度是离散变量,模拟退火算法适合求解离散变量的优化问题。利用模拟退火算法优化层合板铺层,在算法内采用并行计算、引入记忆功能同时设置双阈值终止准则,有效地提高了优化过程的收敛速度,同时避免优化过程中出现局部最优解。以临界屈曲载荷系数作为目标函数,选取复合材料层合板的铺设角度顺序为设计变量,采用改进的模拟退火算法得出复合材料层合板的最优铺设角度以及铺层顺序。  相似文献

An improved eight-noded isoparametric quadratic plate bending element based on refined higher-order zigzag theory (RHZT) has been developed in the present study to determine the interlaminar stresses of multilayered composite laminates. The C0 continuous element has been formulated by considering warping function in the displacement field based on the RHZT. Shear locking phenomenon is avoided by considering substitute shear strain field. The continuity of transverse shear stresses cannot be ensured by the proposed zigzag formulation directly, and hence, the continuity conditions of transverse shear stresses have been established by using the three-dimensional (3D) stress equilibrium equations in the present study. The transverse shear stresses are computed in a simplified manner using the differential equations of stress equilibrium. A finite element code is developed by using MATLAB software package. The performance of the present finite element model is validated by comparing the results with 3D elasticity solutions. The superiority of the proposed element in view of computational efficiency, simplicity, and accuracy has been examined by comparing the present solutions with those available in published literature using other elements.  相似文献

使用有限元理论模拟分析了几种不同铺层顺序的预成型体搭接复合材料的拉伸性能,并且使用国产碳纤维与快速固化环氧树脂制备相应的单下陷搭接试样,测试其搭接接头的拉伸性能,对有限元计算结果进行了验证。结果表明,使用有限元计算与实验方法得到的结果基本相符。有限元模拟及实验验证发现不同铺层结构的预成型体搭接复合材料有两种不同的破坏损伤模式。搭接上层板的层间剥离强度与层板本身弯曲性能共同决定了搭接接头的破坏模式及拉伸性能,两者中强度较弱的先发生破坏,导致试样失效。在预成型体搭接接头中,0°铺层越靠近搭接面,对搭接性能的影响越明显,搭接强度越高。搭接界面处纤维层之间的相对角度不同,纤维铺层刚度不同,刚度差别越大,搭接强度就越低。  相似文献

An effort is made to study the thermoelastic behaviour of a cross-ply laminated composite skew plate with elliptical cutout subjected to pressure and non-linearly varying temperature loading in the present analysis. Orientation of the elliptical cut out is varied from 0° to 180° with respect to horizontal at an interval of 30° in the anti clockwise direction is considered for the present analysis. A three-dimensional heat conduction analysis in fibre reinforced composite laminates has been simulated by finite element method to get realistic temperature in the laminate under different thermal boundary conditions. A finite element method, which works on the basis of three-dimensional theory of elasticity, is employed to evaluate the stresses and deformations. The effect of orientation due to pressure loading on the stresses and transverse deflection is observed to be insignificant. The magnitudes of the in-plane normal stresses, σ x and σ y, for temperature loading are greatly affected by ellipse orientation and are observed to be minimum at the ellipse orientation of 0° and 90°, respectively. The in-plane and inter-laminar shear stresses are observed to be minimum at the ellipse orientation of 90°.  相似文献

Polymer matrix composites are relevant materials for future supersonic aircraft due to their high specific properties. However, in such aeronautical applications, the material is exposed to severe environmental conditions. The present paper aims at assessing an approximate model to evaluate hygrothermoelastic stress in composite laminated plates during moisture desorption taking into account the change of mechanical characteristics induced by the variation of temperature and moisture. The developed method permits us to calculate such stresses during desorption phase without the computation of the moisture concentration, through laminated plates. It observed through this study that the variation of elasticity modulus due to the temperature causes a stress relaxation. These stresses have to be taken into account for the design of composite structures submitted to a moist environment.

Through the presented study, we hope to contribute to the understanding of hygrothermal behaviour of composite laminated plates.  相似文献

In this paper, the bending singularities of a notched plate are investigated through the finite element method. The computed singular parameters, including the singularity orders and associated corner functions, are compared with those of classical plate theory and first‐order shear deformation plate theory (FSDPT); the comparisons demonstrate the inaccuracy of the boundary conditions in classical plate theory. The thickness effects are then investigated through the finite element method. The results show that although the singularity parameters computed by finite element agree with those of the FSDPT in the interior of the plate, the FSDPT is not applicable at the notch tip on the top or bottom surface because of substantial free surface effects. For a very thin plate, the inconsistence in the comparison slightly increases because of the free surface effects.  相似文献

This article deals with experimental and finite element studies on the buckling of isotropic and laminated composite skew plates with circular holes subjected to uniaxial compression. The influence of skew angle, fiber orientation angle, laminate stacking sequence, and aspect ratio on critical buckling load are evaluated using the experimental method (using Methods I through V) and finite element method using MSC/NASTRAN. Method I yields the highest experimental value and Method IV the lowest experimental value for critical buckling load in the case of isotropic skew plates with circular holes. For all laminate stacking sequences considered, Method V yields the highest experimental value for critical buckling load for skew angle = 0° and Method IV yields the highest experimental value for critical buckling load for skew angles = 15° and 30°. For all laminate stacking sequences and skew angles considered, Method II yields the lowest experimental value for critical buckling load. The maximum discrepancy between the experimental values given by Method IV and the finite element solution is about 10% in the case of isotropic skew plates. The maximum discrepancy between the experimental values given by Method II and the finite element solution is about 21% in the case of laminated composite skew plates considered. The percentage of discrepancy between the numerical or finite element solution and experimental value increases as the skew angle increases. The critical buckling load decreases as the aspect ratio increases.  相似文献

Natural frequencies and buckling stresses of cross-ply laminated composite plates are analyzed by taking into account the effects of shear deformation, thickness change and rotatory inertia. By using the method of power series expansion of displacement components, a set of fundamental dynamic equations of a two-dimensional higher-order theory for thick rectangular laminates subjected to in-plane stresses is derived through Hamilton's principle. Several sets of truncated approximate theories are applied to solve the eigenvalue problems of a simply supported thick laminated plate. In order to assure the accuracy of the present theory, convergence properties of the lowest natural frequency and buckling stress are examined in detail. Numerical results are compared with those of the published existing theories and FEM solutions. The modal displacement and stress distributions in the thickness direction are obtained and plotted in figures. It is noticed that the present global higher-order approximate theories can predict the natural frequencies, buckling stresses and stresses of thick multilayered composite laminates as accurately as three-dimensional solutions.  相似文献

Based on new modified couple stress theory a model for composite laminated Reddy plate is developed in first time. In this theory a new curvature tensor is defined for establishing the constitutive relations of laminated plate. The characterization of anisotropy is incorporated into higher-order laminated plate theories based on the modified couple stress theory by Yang et al. in 2002. The form of new curvature tensor is asymmetric, however it can result in same as the symmetric curvature tensor in the isotropic elasticity. The present model of thick plate can be viewed as a simplified couple stress theory in engineering mechanics. Moreover, a more simplified model for cross-ply composite laminated Reddy plate of couple stress theory with one material’s length constant is used to demonstrate the scale effects. Numerical results show that the present plate model can capture the scale effects of microstructure. Additionally, the present model of thick plate model can be degenerated to the model of composite cross-ply laminated Kirchhoff plate and Mindlin plate of couple stress theory.  相似文献

针对不同搭接长度和铺层方式的碳纤维增强树脂(CFRP)复合材料层合板单搭胶接结构进行了拉伸试验,观察了试件的受力过程和失效形态,获得了载荷-位移曲线;同时基于连续损伤力学模型和三维Hashin失效准则模拟了CFRP复合材料层合板的层内损伤形成和演化,并利用内聚力模型来模拟层间及胶层的失效损伤,对CFRP复合材料层合板单搭胶接结构在拉伸作用下的失效强度和损伤机制进行了预测,通过对比验证了该数值方法的有效性;通过数值试验比较不同搭接长度和铺层方式的单搭胶接结构及双搭胶接结构的连接强度和损伤行为,并提出了一种优化的CFRP复合材料层合板胶接结构。结果表明:CFRP复合材料层合板胶接结构的极限失效载荷随着搭接长度的增大逐渐增加并趋于稳定值,且结构的失效形式逐渐从胶层自身剪切失效过渡到邻近胶层的层合板层间分层失效;CFRP复合材料层合板胶接结构的连接强度和损伤行为随着铺层方式的不同而改变,通过对3种铺层方式的对比和分析,得到性能最好的铺层方式是[03/903]2S;在搭接长度为5~20 mm时,通过对搭接长度进行优化,得到单搭胶接结构的最优搭接长度是17 mm,双搭胶接结构的最优搭接长度是19.3 mm,与搭接长度为20 mm相比,单搭胶接结构和双搭胶接结构的连接强度分别提高了13.26%和0.43%。   相似文献

In this article, based on the global-local theory, a model for a composite laminated Reddy plate of new modified couple-stress theory is developed for the first time. This model satisfies free surface conditions and the geometric and stresses continuity conditions at interfaces. Differing from existing modified couple-stress theory, an anisotropic constitutive relation is suggested. There is only one micro material characteristic length constant in each layer of the composite laminated plate. Principle of virtual work is employed to derive the equilibrium equations and the corresponding boundary conditions. With the example of a cross-ply simple-supported Reddy plate subjected to the bending load q0 = sin?(πx/L)sin?(πy/L), the transverse shear stresses at interfaces are addressed. Additionally, the numerical results show that the present plate model can capture the scale effect, especially the scale effect of the transverse shear stresses at interfaces of the composite laminated plate.  相似文献

Abstract

The elastic flexural behavior of static deformation and free vibration of sandwich plates of variable thickness is investigated numerically and experimentally. In the analysis, the face plates are treated as Marguerre shells, and the core is assumed to be an antiplane core and to provide resistance to transverse shear and normal stresses only. Displacement continuity conditions are used at the interfaces between face plates and the core to derive the displacement field. Energy formulations are obtained and solved by the isoparametric finite element method. The numerical results are obtained to compare with the results in the existing literature and to show the effects of taper constant and face plate thickness on deflections and natural frequencies. Finally, experimental works based on the method of holographic interferometry are conducted to confirm the theoretical findings. Experimental and numerical data agree quite well in this work.  相似文献
