In this paper, the multiclass downlink capacity and the interference statistics of the sectors of a cigar-shaped microcells using wideband code-division multiple-access with soft handover mode are analyzed. The two-slope propagation model with log-normal shadowing is used in the analysis where a model of 8 cigar-shaped microcells is utilized. The performance of the downlink is studied for different [sector range R, standard deviation of the shadowing ( $\sigma _{1}$ and $\sigma _{2})$ and propagation exponents ( $\text{ s}_{1}$ and $\text{ s}_{2})$ ]. It is found that increasing the sector range from 500 to 1,000 m will increase the sector downlink capacity. Also, it is found that increasing the value of the propagation parameters ( $\sigma _{1}$ and $\sigma _{2})$ will reduce the downlink sector capacity. It is noticed that, the effect of changing the propagation exponent $\text{ s}_{1}$ is null while increasing the propagation exponent $\text{ s}_{2}$ will increase the downlink capacity.  相似文献

The capacity and the interference statistics (mean and variance) of the sectors of a Cigar-, Tee-, and Cross-shaped WCDMA microcells are studied. Models of 5, 7, and 9 microcells are used to analyze the uplink capacity of the cigar-, Tee-, and cross-shaped W-CDMA microcell, respectively. The capacity and the interference statistics of the microcell are studied for different sector range and antenna side lobe levels. It is shown that the highest sector capacity is obtained when the microcell is cigar-shaped. For a cross-shaped microcell, the sector capacity is the lowest. Also it is shown that the uplink sector capacity will be very high if synchronous WCDMA is used in the uplink. To get the quasi maximum capacity, the sector range should be (0.6 – 1) km and the side lobe level of the directive antenna used in each sector should be – 15 dBc or lower.  相似文献

In this paper, the capacity and the interference statistics of the sectors of the cigar-shaped WCDMA microcells are studied using the hybrid model of propagation. A model of nine microcells in a metro tunnel is used to analyze the uplink capacity and the interference statistics. The capacity and the interference statistics of the microcells in metro tunnels are studied in this work for different propagation parameters, antenna side lobe levels, sector ranges and bends losses.

The multi-service (combination of more than one service) capacity and interference statistics (mean and variance) of the sectors of the street cross-shaped Wide Band Code Division Access (WCDMA) microcell are studied. A model of 21 cross-shaped microcells is used to analyze the uplink. The two slope propagation model is used to analyze the uplink. The capacity and interference statistics of the sectors are studied for different sector ranges, side lobe levels and power control (PC) standard deviation errors. It is noticed that, increasing the sector range will increase the sector capacity, reducing the side lobe level will also increase the sector capacity. Also it is noticed that, increasing the propagation exponent s 2 will increase the sector capacity, reducing the standard deviations of the shadowing parameters σ1 and σ2 will increase the sector capacity and that reducing the power control standard deviation error σc will increase the sector capacity.

Capacity and coverage represent, in addition to QoS, the three main requirements for W-CDMA based 3G mobile communication systems. These are conflicting requirements; i.e., optimizing one will be on the account of the other two. All three, however, depend largely on the interference levels in the system. Improvements on interference are thought to have a decisive effect on the performance of the 3G system and one important interference reduction technique is the utilization of smart antennae. In this paper, we analyze capacity/coverage on the uplink in W-CDMA system utilizing switched beam smart antennae, SBSA, using a simple model of the antenna, while satisfying a certain minimum level of QoS. Limits imposed by both interference from others and the limited uplink power available to any user in the cell are considered. Results of this paper are analytical formulae for capacity/coverage that take into consideration many of the important parameters of either the antennae or the WCDMA system. A sectional view of improvement gains, if any, of either capacity or coverage upon antenna upgrading/downgrading is provided. It is shown that improvements by the directional SBSA of either capacity or coverage, are only attained at high interference conditions; i.e., higher number of users when considering coverage improvement or smaller coverage areas when considering capacity. The higher the interference conditions are the higher gain over side lobes or more beams SBSA are needed to attain improvement.  相似文献

The multiservice (voice, data, and high-speed uplink packet access (HSUPA)) uplink capacity and the interference statistics of high-altitude platforms wideband code-division multiple access macrocell are studied. The free-space propagation loss model with a log-normal shadowing is used in the analysis. It is concluded that the voice and data service are significantly affected by HSUPA users and that the macrocell capacity decreases dramatically when one of these users gets connected to it in the case that they share the same frequency band. Also, it is concluded that the capacity decrement is highly sensitive to the location of the HSUPA users. When the HSUPA users did not share the same frequency band with the voice and traditional data users, macrocell capacity will be 3 HSUPA users with a processing gain of 8 or 5.3 HSUPA users with a processing gain of 16.  相似文献

文章研究QoS优化下WCDMA系统的上行接入控制算法。从QoS分层结构,可度量参数出发,结合新用户呼叫到达率和用户切换到达率,提出WCDMA上行信号呼叫接入控制算法,考虑和平衡新接入用户阻塞率和已接入用户中断率。通过满足不同业务需要的QoS优化策略来控制上行允许接入用户,从而保证系统有稳定的通信质量。仿真分析结果表明,文中给出算法使系统阻塞率和掉话率下降,系统性能得到改善。  相似文献

本文以WCDMA标准中上行链路结构为蓝本,研究了第三代移动通信系统仿真在PC机上利用MATLAB平台的SIMULINK工具箱实现的可行性.方便地实现了诸如:扩频、M.1225信道、时变增益路径(Doppler)、信道估计、RAKE若干强径选择最大比合并、解扩、判决接收等SIMULINK模块.给出了上行链路单用户多码道的完整矩阵数学模型和仿真实现过程.仿真结果显示该仿真平台是可靠的.  相似文献

在高速上行分组接入(HSUPA)中通过采用NodeB控制调度、结合软合并的混合自动重传请求(HARQ)、更短的传输时间同隔(TTI)等关键技术,可使用户设备(UE)能以尽可能高的功率传输HSUPA数据,在减少时延的基础上得到更大的系统上行吞吐量.系统级仿真结果表明这些关键技术的引入对WCDMA通信系统上行数据传输带来了性能的提高.文章认为由于调度器的变化,不同调度算法在HSUPA系统中的表现有很大差别,需要进一步根据WCDMA系统业务的特点,设计更适合分布式调度器的调度算法,以进一步提高系统性能.  相似文献
