The effect of wall roughness on particle behavior in two-phase flows in a horizontal backward-facing step is studied using a phase-Doppler particle anemometer. The results show that the wall roughness widens the particle velocity probability density distribution, enhances the redistribution of particle velocity into different directions,reduces the particle longitudinal mean velocity and increases the longitudinal and transverse fluctuation velocities and Reynolds shear stress. The effect of roughness on particle motion in the recirculation zone is weaker than that in the fully developed flow region. The effect of roughness for small particles is restricted only in the near-wall region, while that for large particle diffuses to the whole flow field.  相似文献

The quality standards for Fructus Comi have been established based on the effects of the manufacturing processes.Three critical process parameters(CPPs) of extraction,filtration,and concentration to prepare Fructus Comi concentrate were identified by Plackett-Burman design with a single batch of Fructus Corni,which were heating medium temperature,extraction time,and water addition.Morroniside yield,loganin yield,and dry matter yield were process critical quality attributes(CQAs).CPPs arranged with a Box-Behnken design were applied to treat different batches of Fructus Comi After constructing a model that included CPPs,material propertie s,and process CQAs,loganin content was found to be the critical material attribute(CMA).The design space was calculated with a probability method.According to the limits of process CQAs,the minimum content of loganin in Fructus Corni was calculated with an error propagation method,which was 6.92 mg·g~(-1).When the content of loganin in Fructus Corni reaches up to 6.92 mg·g~(-1), the material is considered high-quality and is most suitable for the process.High-quality material can be used for production of Fructus Comi concentrate.This method can also be used to set material quality standards for other Chinese medicines.  相似文献

The flowability of five kinds of microencapsulation powders, with different β-carotene contents and by two alternative particle-forming technologies i.e. spray-drying and starch-catching beadlet technology, was measured. The actual flow properties of the five powders were compared based on bin-flow test, and three flow indexes (Hausner ratio, repose angle and flow index) were measured. It was found that the repose angle is the most suitable index to reflect the flowability of these powders for the particle properties would not be altered due to compaction or tapping during the measuring process. Particle size and particle size distribution play most important roles in the flowability of these granular materials, which was also influenced by other factors like shape, surface texture, surface roughness, etc. Microcapsules with wall material of gelatin and a layer of modified starch absorbed on the surface showed excellent flowabilities and good mechanical properties, and they are favorable for tabletting to supply β-carotene.  相似文献

The vacuum residual from Iranian Light crude oil are separated into a series of 16 narrow fractions according to the molecular weight by the supercritical fluid extraction and fractional (SFEF) technology. The chemical element and the UV spectrum of each fraction are analyzed. The effects of several factors on the interfacial tension are investigated, which are the fraction concentration in oil phase, the ratio of oil component, the salts dissolved in the water phase and the pH value. The interfacial tension decreases rapidly as the concentration of the residual fraction in the oil increases, showing a higher interfacial activity of the fraction. The interfacial tension changes, as the amount of absorption or the state of the fractions in the interface changes resulting from different ratios of oil, different kinds or concentrations of salts in water, and different pH values. It is concluded that the intrfacial tension changes regularly, corresponding to the regular molecular parameters of the vacuum residual fractions.  相似文献

Fouling of heat transfer surfaces during subcooled flow boiling is a frequent engineering problem in process industries. It has been generally observed that the deposits in such industrial systems consist mainly of calcium carbonate (CaCO3), which has inverse solubility characteristics. This investigation focused on the mechanism to control deposition and the morphology of crystalline deposits. A series of experiments were carried out at different surface and bulk temperatures, fluid velocities and salt ion concentrations. It is shown that the deposition rate is controlled by different mechanism in the range of experimental parameters, depending on salt ion concentration. At higher ion concentration, the fouling rate increases linearly with surface temperature and the effect of flow velocity on deposition rate is quite strong, suggesting that mass diffusion controls the fouling process. On the contrary, at lower ion concentration, the fouling rate increases exponentially with surface temperature and is independent of the velocity, illustrating that surface reaction controls the fouling process. By analysis of the morphology of scale, two types of crystal (calcite and aragonite) are formed. The lower the temperature and ion concentration, the longer the induction period and the higher the percentage of calcite nreciDitated.  相似文献

The effects of operating parameters on desulfurization efficiency of a dual-alkali FGD process in a rotating-stream-tray (RST) scrubber are investigated. A dimensionless factor, e, is proposed in this study to predict desulfurization efficiency of this dual-alkali FGD system. e represents the desulfurization ability of a dual alkali FGD system, determined by five main operating parameters such as sodium ion concentration, ratio of absorbent flow rate to flue gas flow rate, pH value of absorbent solution, ratio of sulfate ion to total sulfur ion in absorbent solution, and sulfur dioxide concentration of inlet flue gas. The empirical expression for predicting desulfurization efficiency at different temperatures is obtained through the experimental study and theoretical calculation. Drying is an important unit operation in processing of biological resources. The drying process may influence the product properties and quality, which may shrink, break or undergo rheological, physical and biochemical changes. The important parameters responsible for such changes are drying conditions, type of drying technology and residence drying time. Thermal conductivity, thermal-mass diffusivity, enthalpy, porosity and density are the main material property and heat-mass transfer parameters, which are essential for understanding the changes in product quality and for designing and dimensioning the drying processes. In this paper physical properties of food products undergoing a combined sublimation and evaporation were studied. Pieces of vegetables and potatoes were dried in a heat pump fluidized bed dryer at combined modes with temperatures below the freezing point in the beginning and a final drying step at temperatures above the freezing point. This paper integrated a two-dimensional axisymmetrical transient model applicable to cold-start emission applications. The model can be used to simulate and explain effects of the flow and temperature distribution on performance of a converter. The evolutions of distribution of the temperature and concentration in the monolith during the cold-start period and the effects of flow distribution in the monolith on the cold-start performance are simulated in terms of the integrated model. The investigation indicates that the axial and radial gradients of temperature of the solid become steeper as the inlet gas temperature ramp increases; this furthermore results in the movement of reaction region in the monolith, and the flow distribution in the monolith affects the radial distribution of temperature of the solid;the radial gradients of temperature of the solid become greater as the flow uniformity index decreases, whereas the light-off time doesn‘t always increase as the flow uniformity index decreases. The analyses on the distribution of temperature and concentration in the monolith show that the catalytic reaction zone concentrates in central area near the front face. The predicted curves of the velocity distribution have a good agreement with the experimental data.  相似文献

Cyclic total reflux (CTR) batch distillation is a promising mode of the process but lacking of appropriate modeling for the period of filling the reflux drum. A new dynamic modeling method for the simulation of CTR batch distillation is proposed in this work, in which the changes in column holdup and liquid flow rate during the filling of the drum, and the consequent change in valid number of theoretical plates are considered. The effect of drum holdup on operation time is investigated and the optimal drum holdup is obtained from the simulation. The dynamic modeling is compared to the conventional modeling without consideration of change in liquid flow rate. The experimental result shows that the present modeling is more reliable and more accurate, especially for the col-umn with large liquid holdup.  相似文献

Experiments in a cylindrical model silo were carried out with different initial densities of sand and silo wall roughness. Solid concentration changes during granular flow in the model silo were measured with electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) sensors. During silo flow, strong dynamic effects connected with booming sound occurred. Local one-dimensional (1D) and cross-sectional 2D evolutions of solid concentrations in dry sand during silo discharge were observed. The 1D phenomena were estimated from the raw data and the 2D phenomena were obtained from the reconstructed data by solving an inverse problem with a linear back projection algorithm.  相似文献

The paper presents results of concentration changes in cohesionless sand during dynamic mass flow in a rectangular model silo composed of a bin and hopper. Electrical capacitance tomography (ECT) was used. Sensors were located outside the silo along both the periphery and height. Local horizontal one-dimensional and cross-sectional two-dimensional evolutions of solid concentrations in dry sand during silo discharge were determined. The first ones were estimated from the raw data and the latter were obtained with the aid of the reconstructed data using a Linear Back Projection algorithm (LBP) to solve an inverse problem. Experiments in a model silo were carried out with two different initial sand densities and wall roughness grades. The measured results with ECT were compared with corresponding ones obtained with a Particle Image Velocimetry (PIV) method.  相似文献

This paper deals with strong dynamic effects connected with booming sound (called silo music) appearing during confined granular flow in silos. Novel experimental data have been gained through Electrical Capacitance Tomography (ECT) and an extraction of operational deflection shapes. A dynamic plane strain FE model of the granular material and oscillating wall was presented. The numerical results support the key role of dynamic coupling between silo wall oscillations and dynamics of the flowing material induced by a change of a flow direction at the transition zone between cylindrical and converging flow.  相似文献

The simulation method of DEM and experimental method are used to investigate the flow pattern of the filling and discharging process for two-dimensional plane silos. Two kinds of inserts (conical insert and BINSERT®) are used in the silo to change the flow fields of the silo. The placement of inserts improves the flow behaviors of funnel flow type to mass flow type during discharging. The wall normal stresses are influenced by the change of the flow type. The effects of using differently shaped inserts on the flow pattern and wall stress are analyzed in this study. The controlling parameters include the silo half-angle, the orifice width, the shape of the insert and the properties of the granular materials. The simulation and experimental results are in good agreement.  相似文献

Emptying a bulk cargo silo produces dynamic processes which cannot completely be illustrated with the help of continuum mechanical calculations. The discrete elements method (DEM) can be applied to simulate the forces which act on inserts in silos during filling and discharging. For this simulation it is essential to calibrate the DEM. A new method for calibration of the simulation parameters is developed. The simulation correlates well with the experiments in a silo.  相似文献

Operators of bulk material silos frequently face various flow defects. These include defects in flow continuity, vaults, stick rings, and dead zones in the bulk material. The application of aeration systems in bulk material silos is an effective method used in order to eliminate the above defects. This paper presents a study of the effect of an aeration system on wall pressures σW of bulk material in a silo during a targeted bulk material aeration and relaxation process, and analyses the results in light of the calculation standards for designing bulk material silos, namely ?SN 73 5570 a DIN 1055.  相似文献

This papers deals with the strong dynamic effects (called silo music) appearing during confined granular flow in the cylindrical silos. Silo experiments with dry cohesionless sand during gravitational outflow were performed in a cylindrical perspex model silo. During tests the wall accelerations and acoustic signals were recorded and the mode shapes of the silo structure were determined. In addition, experiments were performed with additional modifications of the silo structure and silo flow. A novel simple mechanism of the origin of silo music was proposed.  相似文献

球床模块式高温气冷堆的堆芯是全陶瓷型包覆铀燃料制成的球形颗粒,与石墨颗粒混合堆积而成,堆芯颗粒流的流态取决于颗粒尺度的平移、旋转等动力学量,以及力链、涡旋等介尺度物理量。为了分析颗粒的平移、旋转等动力学量对颗粒流流态的影响。基于筒仓颗粒流的物理模型,首先开展了筒仓颗粒流流变过程的实验测量,并使用基于 Hertz-Mindlin和 RVD (relative velocity dependent)滚动摩擦接触模型的离散单元法 (distinct element method, DEM),研究了锥形筒仓颗粒流流变过程中球形颗粒的动力学量。进一步,基于DEM计算结果进行分析,发现筒仓自上而下呈现出质量流向漏斗流过渡的混合流状态。在筒仓混合流的不同流型区域中,平移速度和旋转速度之间的相关性是相反的;颗粒间的相对切向运动较大的区域集中在漏斗流区域与边壁区域。了解筒仓流变过程中颗粒的动力学特征,有助于优化筒仓颗粒流动,并减少颗粒表面的磨损。  相似文献
