October 16-20 The 69th World Foundry Congress (WFC2010) is to be held at Hangzhou in China in Oct. 2010. The Foundry Institution of Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society (FICMES) is keen to invite papers for presentation during the congress. The overall theme of the WFC2010 is "Green Foundry", while papers can be in any of the following topics, we expect the papers are sought on the following:     

Gold highlights at the 11th “Trends in Nanotechnology” International Conference (TNT 2010) in Braga, Portugal, September 6–10, 2010

A report on the gold highlights on the 11th “Trends in Nanotechnology” International Conference (TNT 2010) held in Braga, Portugal, on September 6–10, 2010 is presented. There were around 300 participants attending this meeting. Gold-related subjects had a strong presence by 2 invited lectures, 13 keynote lectures, 13 oral presentations, and 35 posters. Moreover, seven posters dealing with gold were awarded for poster prizes. Subjects covering a wide range, like self-assembly, colloids, nanobiotechnology, scanning probe methods, carbon nanotube-based materials, nanochemistry, low-dimension materials, nanostructured and nanoparticles-based materials, nano-optics and nano-photonics, were presented.     

我国铝板带箔加工业现状与展望

介绍了我国铝板带箔的加工现状、存在的问题、市场需求及国外的发展,分析了加入WTO后我国铝板带箔加工业面临的机遇和挑战。并展望了“十五”至2010年期间的发展。     

中国铅元素人为循环的环境排放与累积的动态分析(英文)

应用物质流动分析方法,分析2010年铅的环境排放现状。结果表明,2010年国内每消费1 kg精铅就有0.48 kg铅排放到环境中。2010年从人为循环中排放到环境中的铅共计1.89×106 t,主要来自使用阶段(39.20%)和管理回收阶段(33.13%)。量化了1960-2010年人为循环中铅的排放和环境累积,结果表明,这段时期内排放到环境中的铅累积总量为19.54×106 t,按现有人口及国土面积分别折合为14.26 kg和2.04 g/m2.     

基于VS2008的铸钢最优冒口工艺计算

以VS2008为开发工具,绘图软件AutoCAD2010提供的ObjectARX2010作为接口,利用冒口的三次方程解析法进行了铸造工艺最优冒口系统CAD的开发。利用该模块提供的可视化操作窗口,用户可以快速方便地在零件图上绘制出冒口系统。     

NFPA326—201O与国内标准关键性技术差异

以往储罐事故研究侧重事件经过和原因,难以从根源上消除储罐事故。评价了储罐清洗国内标准现状,提出了借鉴国外标准先进条款改进国内标准的方法。介绍了美国消防协会标准NFPA326—2010,列出了该标准与国内标准的关键性技术差异。该标准的先进性体现在储罐清洗前安全检查、储罐介质隔离措施、储罐气体检测和储罐允许作业级别标识等方面。最后提出了借鉴NFPA326—2010完善储罐清洗国内标准的建议。     

回顾与展望全球铝产品产量及对晶粒细化剂的需求

在全世界生产的铝加工材与铸造铝产品中约有75%在铸造中需添加晶粒细化剂Al-Ti-B中间合金等以细化铸锭的枝晶与产品的晶粒组织,提高它们的性能。对2001～2010年全世界原铝、再生铝、铝加工材、铸造铝产量作了简明的回顾,对2011～2020年它们的产量作了预测,在此期间对晶粒细化剂的需求也作了预测,特别是对中国铝工业的晶粒细化剂需求作了较为精细的预测,2011年中国对晶粒细化剂的需求量61 kt,2015年的115 kt,2020年的可超过200 kt。中国当前生产的晶粒细化剂在产量与品质方面足以满足本国的需求。

2010年国际金融危机的影响逐渐减弱,在俄罗斯政府的一系列扶持政策措施的作用下,俄罗斯钢管工业得到了良性发展,出现了大幅增长.介绍了俄罗斯几大钢管生产企业--俄罗斯钢管冶金公司、俄罗斯联合冶金公司、俄罗斯车里雅宾斯克钢管公司和俄罗斯北方钢铁集团伊若尔斯克钢管厂2010年的生产经营情况.     

铝合金中厚板的生产、市场与应用

对中国铝合金中厚板的生产、市场与应用作了全面系统的介绍,还简介了美国铝厚板的产量与厚薄板比例,以及世界主要国家厚板的价格,厚板的主要应用领域,厚板铝合金的成分、热处理规范与轧制率系统。对中国中厚板2005年至2016年的需求作了预测,2005年的需求量为106kt,2010年的需求量为210kt,2015年的为380kt。中国目前是一个中厚铝合金板净进口国。中国需要建设铝合金中厚板生产线,热粗轧最好是4000mm级的,其他装备与精整设备应配套齐全,这种生产线的建设宜早不宜晚。美国厚板(大于6．25mm)产量占板带材(不含铝箔毛料)总产量的4％,中国中厚板(大于4．5mm)产量约占板带材总产量的5％。     

2010年中国钛工业发展报告

回顾了2010年中国钛工业的运行情况,介绍了中国钛工业的生产和进出口情况,分析了海绵钛和钛加工材的价格走势。2010年中国钛工业呈明显回升状态,海绵钛产能突破10万t,产量达到57770t,与2009年相比增长41．6％;钛加工材产量达到38323t,与2009年相比增长53．5％。2010年,中国化工、航空航天、冶金、真空制盐等行业用钛大幅增长,从而使中国钛制品的销售量达到创记录的35636t;特别是化工用钛量已近2万t,成为中国用钛的绝对第一大领域。应更好地把钛材的应用推广工作做好,迎来行业的更大发展。     

大型风电铸件铸造工艺CAD系统的开发与应用

基于AutoCAD2010平台,以ObjectARX2010与VC＋＋.NET为开发工具,结合ODBC技术,并利用参数化设计方法开发适用于大型风电铸件的铸造工艺CAD系统。系统功能主要包括冒口系统设计、浇注系统设计、冷铁系统设计、砂箱设计及铸造工艺参数设计,并根据工厂实际生产情况设计相应的辅助功能系统。     

中国原铝深加工现状与发展趋势

据中国有色金属工业协会统计:2010年全国共有105个原铝生产企业,原铝产量为16250kt,初级深加工产品为11335kt。2010年工业发达国家原铝转化率为73%,中国的原铝转化率为70%。这表明:中国的铝工业正向着更加完善的产业链方向发展。到2015年,中国原铝工业深加工产品转化率可望达到80%,居世界首位。     

Physicochemical studies of galvanized steel corrosion in urban,industrial, and marine environments,and corrosion mapping of Karachi city: An important coastal city of the 21st-century modern maritime silk route

The coastal city of Karachi is an imperative part of China–Pakistan Economic Corridor, which is integrated with the modern maritime silk route of the 21st century. This paper presents the corrosion mapping and physicochemical studies of galvanized steel corrosion exposed at the urban, industrial, and marine test sites located in the Karachi coastal city from July 2018 to June 2019. Tests have been performed to determine chloride, sulfur dioxide, time of wetness (TOW), and corrosion rates as per ISO protocols 9223 and 9225, and ASTM standards G1, G50, G140-02, D4458-94, and D2010. All test sites have been assigned the C5+ corrosivity category, based on corrosion rates of the galvanized steel, which is not completely in line with the corrosivity category derived from atmospheric pollutants and TOW values for these test sites. SEM/EDS, XRD, and FTIR have characterized the presence of simonkolleite, hydrozincite, and zincite at nearly all the test sites, whereas gordaite is only detected at the marine test sites. Zinc(I) chlorohydroxysulfate is also observed at an urban test site. This study has furnished a novel product of a galvanized steel corrosion map for Karachi, Pakistan.     

改革开放30年:中国的铝板带冷轧工业(2)

到2008年底,中国有180多个铝板带轧制企业,其中大中型企业131个,小企业50个,冷轧生产能力为6 230kt/a,比美国的高2.2%。2002年~2010年,中国的铝板带冷轧能力年平均增长率约31.2%。中国目前拟建的铝板带大项目有十几家。到2010年,中国冷轧铝板带生产能力预计达到8 115 kt/a。

Sustainable recycling of automotive products in China: Technology and regulation

The Chinese economy is growing rapidly, but accompanyingsuch growth are issues of environmental protection and social inequity which must be addressed. With the Automobile Industry Development Policy and the Motor Vehicle Product Recovery Technology Policy, an automobile products recoverability target has been established and will be incorporated into an automobile products authentication management system in China. By 2010, for all end-of-life automobile products, reuse and recovery shall be increased to a minimum of 85% by average weight per vehicle, and the use of lead, mercury, cadmium, and hexavalent chromium is prohibited. This paper will address the sustainable recycling of Chinese automobile products within the period of 2006–2010.     

Research at the Dr Sheelagh Campbell Laboratory at Teledyne-Impulse-PDM

Dr Sheelagh Campbell FIMF, Honorary Editor-in-Chief of Transactions (2002–2010) and Principal Lecturer at the University of Portsmouth, made important and varied contributions in the fields of chemistry and applied electrochemistry, in research, teaching and committee work, throughout her career.

Following the sad loss of Dr Campbell in 2010, readers and contributors to the journal will be delighted to hear about a research laboratory opened in her name at Teledyne-Impulse-PDM.
