This paper describes a color-texture-based image retrieval system for query of an image database to find similar images to a target image. The color-texture information is obtained via modeling with the multispectral simultaneous autoregressive (MSAR) random field model. The general color content characterized by ratios of sample color means is also used. The retrieval process involves segmenting the image into regions of uniform color texture using an unsupervised histogram clustering approach that utilizes the combination of MSAR and color features. The color-texture content, location, area and shape of the segmented regions are used to develop similarity measures describing the closeness of a query image to database images. These attributes are derived from the maximum fitting square and best fitting ellipse to each of the segmented regions. The proposed similarity measure combines all these attributes to rank the closeness of the images. The performance of the system is tested on two databases containing synthetic mosaics of natural textures and natural scenes, respectively.  相似文献

In this paper, we propose a new method of extracting affine invariant texture signatures for content-based affine invariant image retrieval (CBAIR). The algorithm discussed in this paper exploits the spectral signatures of texture images. Based on spectral representation of affine transform, anisotropic scale invariant signatures of orientation spectrum distributions are extracted. Peaks distribution vector (PDV) obtained from signature distributions captures texture properties invariant to affine transform. The PDV is used to measure the similarity between textures. Extensive experimental results are included to demonstrate the performance of the method in texture classification and CBAIR.  相似文献

基于内容的图像检索是当前图像数据库领域的一个研究热点。文章提出了一种基于目标区域的多特征彩色图像检索算法。首先获取彩色图像HSI色彩空间的亮度分量灰度图像,再计算得到亮度分量灰度图像的二值边缘图像,并根据边缘图像的连通性提取彩色图像的目标区域。然后抽取目标区域的颜色特征和纹理特征,并分别对两个特征的相似距离进行归一化。最后综合利用这两个特征共同进行检索。实验结果表明,该文的算法具有良好的性能,在检索准确率上获得了较好的效果。  相似文献

This paper presents an effective color image retrieval method based on texture, which uses the color co-occurrence matrix to extract the texture feature and measure the similarity of two color images. Due to the color information such as components and distribution is also taken into consideration, the feature obtained not only reflects the texture correlation but also represents the color information. As a result, our proposed method is superior to the gray-level co-occurrence matrix method and color histogram method, and it enhances the retrieval accuracy which is measured in terms of the recall and precision in the meanwhile.  相似文献

提出一种基于属性关系图ARG描述的线状纹理图像检索方法。针对一般的ARG图匹配算法运算量大、检索速度慢的问题,在用ARG描述线状纹理特征的基础上,通过计算纹理基元属性关系直方图之间的归一化距离来衡量图像的相似度,大大提高了运算速度。应用于鞋底花纹图像库的实验结果表明,该方法对于线状纹理特征具有较强的描述能力,对于平移、旋转和伸缩具有较好的不变性、检索速度和检索结果均能满足应用要求。  相似文献

In this paper a content-based image retrieval method that can search large image databases efficiently by color, texture, and shape content is proposed. Quantized RGB histograms and the dominant triple (hue, saturation, and value), which are extracted from quantized HSV joint histogram in the local image region, are used for representing global/local color information in the image. Entropy and maximum entry from co-occurrence matrices are used for texture information and edge angle histogram is used for representing shape information. Relevance feedback approach, which has coupled proposed features, is used for obtaining better retrieval accuracy. A new indexing method that supports fast retrieval in large image databases is also presented. Tree structures constructed by k-means algorithm, along with the idea of triangle inequality, eliminate candidate images for similarity calculation between query image and each database image. We find that the proposed method reduces calculation up to average 92.2 percent of the images from direct comparison.  相似文献

An image representation method using vector quantization (VQ) on color and texture is proposed in this paper. The proposed method is also used to retrieve similar images from database systems. The basic idea is a transformation from the raw pixel data to a small set of image regions, which are coherent in color and texture space. A scheme is provided for object-based image retrieval. Features for image retrieval are the three color features (hue, saturation, and value) from the HSV color model and five textural features (ASM, contrast, correlation, variance, and entropy) from the gray-level co-occurrence matrices. Once the features are extracted from an image, eight-dimensional feature vectors represent each pixel in the image. The VQ algorithm is used to rapidly cluster those feature vectors into groups. A representative feature table based on the dominant groups is obtained and used to retrieve similar images according to the object within the image. This method can retrieve similar images even in cases where objects are translated, scaled, and rotated.  相似文献

针对图像检索时的旋转问题,提出了一种基于Gabor分解的旋转不变广义粗糙度纹理描述子和一种自适应加权距离准则。首先,计算Gabor分解子带的幅度和频率谱,依据多尺度空间局部能量分布、Hurst分形指数、方向差别来计算纹理特征向量;然后采用自适应加权距离作为相似性准则。分别采用旋转纹理库和普通纹理库进行仿真实验,仿真实验结果表明,该算法在两种情况下都取得了较好的检索效果,算法对图像的旋转具有较好的鲁棒性。  相似文献

图像数据库的不断庞大使基于内容的图像检索成为研究热点,目前主要集中于底层特征的相似度匹配。文章重点介绍了颜色特征中的分块主色法,纹理特征中的灰度共生矩阵法和形状特征中的小波变换及不变矩法。在利用单一特征检索的基础上,该文提出了一种综合利用上述三种特征共同进行检索的方法。同时,还将相关反馈技术融合到算法中,通过权值矩阵的正负调整及三种特征系数的调整来提高检索准确率。由实验数据表明,文中的方法是很有效的。  相似文献

Contourlet变换结合了不可分离的方向滤波组,具备小波所不能表达的多方向特性,能有效捕获自然图像的边缘轮廓信息。本文分析了图像Contourlet系数的统计特征,并利用广义高斯函数对各子带系数层进行建模。将此模型应用于基于V isTex的自建纹理图像库,采用矩匹配估计法,提取模型参数集,运用K-L距离计算图像间的相似度。对800幅纹理图像进行检索,本文方法比传统小波方法的平均检索查准率高出约2%到10%不等。实验结果表明,该方法改进了导向纹理的描述。  相似文献

This paper proposes a hierarchical approach to retrieve an iris image efficiently from for a large iris database. This approach is a combination of both iris color and texture. Iris color is used for indexing and texture is used for retrieval of iris images from the indexed iris database. An index which is determined from the iris color is used to filter out the images that are not similar to the query image in color. Further, iris texture features of those filtered images, are used to determine the images which are similar to the query image. The iris color information helps to design an efficient indexing scheme based on color indices. The color indices are computed by averaging the intensity values of all red and blue color pixels. Kd-tree is used for real-time indexing based on color indices. The iris texture features are obtained through Speeded Up Robust Features (SURF) algorithm. These features are used to get the query’s corresponding image at the top best match. The performance of the proposed indexing scheme is compared with two well known iris indexing schemes ( [Mehrotra et al., 2010] and [Puhan and Sudha, 2008]) on UPOL (Dobeš, Machala, Tichavský, & Posp?´šil, 2004) and UBIRIS (Proencca & Alexandre, 2005) iris databases. It is observed that combination of iris color and texture improves the performance of iris recognition system.  相似文献

In this paper, multiscale directional filter bank (MDFB) is investigated for texture characterization and retrieval. First, the problem of aliasing in decimated bandpass images on directional decomposition is addressed. MDFB is then designed to suppress the aliasing effect as well as to minimize the reduction in frequency resolution. Second, an entropy-based measure on energy signatures is proposed to classify structured and random textures. With the use of this measure for texture pre-classification, an optimized retrieval performance can be achieved by selecting the MDFB-based method for retrieving structured textures and a statistical or model-based method for retrieving random textures. In addition, a feature reduction scheme and a rotation-invariant conversion method are developed. The former is developed so as to find the most representative features while the latter is developed to provide a set of rotation-invariant features for texture characterization. Experimental works confirm that they are effective for texture retrieval.  相似文献

We present here an implementation of NeTra, a prototype image retrieval system that uses color, texture, shape and spatial location information in segmented image regions to search and retrieve similar regions from the database. A distinguishing aspect of this system is its incorporation of a robust automated image segmentation algorithm that allows object- or region-based search. Image segmentation significantly improves the quality of image retrieval when images contain multiple complex objects. Images are segmented into homogeneous regions at the time of ingest into the database, and image attributes that represent each of these regions are computed. In addition to image segmentation, other important components of the system include an efficient color representation, and indexing of color, texture, and shape features for fast search and retrieval. This representation allows the user to compose interesting queries such as “retrieve all images that contain regions that have the color of object A, texture of object B, shape of object C, and lie in the upper of the image”, where the individual objects could be regions belonging to different images. 提出了一种基于区域综合特征的彩色图像检索算法.该算法首先结合MPEG-7视觉内容描述对真彩色图像进行量化处理,并将量化后的图像划分成若干个子区域.然后选取子区域的主要颜色及其所占百分率作为颜色特征,选取子区域的熵、能量和对比度作为纹理特征.再综合利用上述颜色、纹理两个特征计算图像间内容的相似度,并进行彩色图像检索.仿真实验表明,该算法能够准确和高效地查找出用户所需内容的彩色图像,并且具有较好的查准率、查全率和较快的检索速度.  相似文献

多媒体技术的发展导致数字图像迅速增长,如何根据语义特征高效检索出满足用户要求的图像,已成为当前各行业迫切需要解决的问题。为此提出一种基于颜色、纹理和形状三种语义特征的图像检索方法,建立了颜色和纹理特征的语义描述,使用BP神经网络实现了低层视觉特征到高层语义特征的映射。选取Corel图像库作为测试图像库,实验通过与基于颜色语义特征的检索方法相比较,取得了良好的实验效果。  相似文献

为了准确高效地进行彩色图像检索,结合图像空间分布特性,提出了一种基于边缘刚格的图像检索新算法,不仅利用了彩色边缘的颜色统计信息,而且考虑了彩色边缘像素点的径向与角向分布特性。该算法首先利用Canny检测算子提取出原始图像的彩色边缘信息;然后将整个彩色边缘划分成局部刚格区域,并分别计算出每个网格区域的颜色直方图和纹理直方图;最后综合利用上述网格区域的颜色直方图和纹理直方图来计算图像间内容的相似度,用于进行彩色图像检索。仿真实验表明,该算法不仅能够准确和高效地查找出用户所需内容的彩色图像,并且具有较好的查准率和查全率。  相似文献

针对传统图像检索无法体现对检索示例图像中多个不同对象的检索要求程度的问题,提出一种改进颜色特征和小波变换纹理特征的图像检索方法。首先提取出图像的多个感兴趣区域,由感兴趣的不同程度分别赋予不同大小的权值;然后提取颜色特征和纹理特征,分别用对应位置相似度计算、感兴趣区域与检索数据库中图像整体的相似度计算和整体检索示例图像与检索图像数据库中图像相似度计算三种不同方法计算出两幅图像的相似度,取最大的相似度作为两幅图像的最终相似度;对检索示例图像与检索数据库中每个图像的相似度按大小进行排序,选择最相似的图像作为检索结果。实验结果表明,该方法提高了对图像检索的性能,体现了个性化检索,对图像检索具有很好的效果。  相似文献

图像数据库应用日益广泛,如何高效、准确地进行图像的检索成为一项重要的研究领域。传统的图像检索主要依赖颜色、纹理、形状、空间关系等单一视觉特征,检索效果往往不够理想。针对这一实际问题,提出一种新的图像检索方法,通过对图像进行小波变换,获得纹理和空间关系的综合特征,对综合特征进行归一化处理,并将其作为图像相似性的衡量依据。实验证明基于纹理和空间关系综合特征的图像检索具有很好的效果。  相似文献

提出了一种基于目标区域的彩色图像检索算法。首先,获取彩色图像HSV颜色空间中各个分量图像,然后计算各分量图像的二值边缘图像。根据边缘图像的连通性提取彩色图像的目标区域。在图像检索时,抽取彩色图像目标区域所对应的子图像特征,代替全局图像特征进行图像相似性匹配。实验表明,基于目标区域的彩色图像检索算法优于基于全局图像的检索算法。  相似文献
