A review is given about consumer demands on meat. Mainly the problems of decreasing meat consumption, health aspects and special questions of ecological products are considered. The market gives evidence of a further drop in meat consumption and a more consistent differentiation of product lines. Eco-products, emphasising the animal welfare aspect, will have their place in that context but persist in the state of a minor market segment. Nevertheless it has to be expected, that also the conventional products will increasingly comply to modern consumer demands.  相似文献

The ferrous metallurgy sector is currently growing both by modernizing existing plants and by building new facilities — mainly mini-mills. The chief raw material for such mills consists of scrap and ferrous-metal wastes formed by metallurgical operations carried out within the given region. By using less costly types of scrap, preheating the scrap before charging, and using melted chips (which also increases productivity), it is possible to lower the production cost of semifinished products by 17–21% without adversely affecting their quality or the quality of the finished products. This will in turn make it possible to produce reinforcement bars and wire rod that will be competitive in the marketplace.  相似文献

Russia has seen a stable increase in the production of steel tubes in recent years, with the output of these products reaching 7,898,000 tons in 2006 and 8,706,000 tons in 2007. The trends in the use of the various types of steel tubes remain the same as in previous years: the demand for small-and medium diameter welded pipes is decreasing, while increases are seen in the use of welded large-diameter pipes and seamless pipes that can be used to extract and transport oil and gas; seamless pipes will continue to be displaced by welded pipes, with the production of the latter now accounting for 58% of all tubular products being made. In the next few years, Russian manufacturers will be busy modernizing their equipment and introducing new facilities for the production of quality semifinished products and finished tubes meeting world standards. The future of the Russian tube industry lies both here and abroad. As much as 25% of its products are already being exported, and Russia’s leading position in terms of its reserves of oil and gas, the long distances that oil and gas must be transported, and the fact that several large pipeline projects are already under way also make the prospects for growth in the domestic market quite promising.  相似文献

A variety of products made from lunar resources will be required for a lunar outpost. These products might be made by adapting existing processing techniques to the lunar environment, or by developing new techniques unique to the moon. In either case, processing techniques used on the moon will have to have a firm basis in basic principles of materials science and engineering, which can be used to understand the relationships between composition, processing, and properties of lunar‐derived materials. These principles can also be used to optimize the properties of a product, once a more detailed knowledge of the lunar regolith is obtained. Using three types of ceramics (monolithic glasses, glass fibers, and glass‐ceramics) produced from lunar simulants, we show that the application of materials science and engineering principles is useful in understanding and optimizing the mechanical properties of ceramics on the moon. We also demonstrate that changes in composition and/or processing can have a significant effect on the strength of these materials.  相似文献

The surface treatment technology can improve the corrosion resistance of steel sheets and increase the value of steel application.The surface treated steel sheets in Baosteel include zinc galvanized steel sheets,sin galvanized steel sheets,chromium galvanized steel sheets,and colour coating steel sheets with the application in the area from construction to automobiles,appliance,package,etc.The development,application and manufacturing technique of these products have become the core competition power of Baosteel. The article reviews the developments of surface treated steel sheets and surface treatment technologies in Baosteel in 10 years,especially hot dip galvanized high strength steel products used in vehicles.The article also looks forward into further developments of surface treatment steel products and technologies in Baosteel,which will focus on:①the new products of hot dip galvanized advanced high strength steels;②more environmental friendly products or functional coating products;③the development of surface treatment technologies to meet the requirement of higher surface quality in the marcket;④new type of surface treatment and coating technologies.  相似文献

 由于含钒产品需求量的不断增加,提钒尾渣的产量也逐年增加,若不能对其实现有效的综合利用,不仅占用了大量土地,造成大量有价金属的浪费,而且会对环境造成严重污染。结合提钒尾渣的物化特性,对提钒尾渣在有价组分回收、制备特种功能材料、有害元素脱除和生产建筑材料等4个方面的研究进展进行了综述。目前,提钒尾渣的综合利用虽然取得了一定的进展,但仍存在不够经济环保、消纳量有限等缺点。而随着人们环境保护意识的不断提高,以及高品位富矿储量的逐年减少,未来对提钒尾渣的综合利用也必将向多种有价元素综合回收,以及降低提钒尾渣产品中有毒、放射性元素含量等方面发展。同时,还需进一步简化工艺流程,利用提钒尾渣制备高附加值产品,以此来降低生产成本,扩大产品的使用范围,提高提钒尾渣的消耗量,实现环境保护和经济增长的可持续发展。  相似文献

Advances in platelet transfusion have contributed to improved outcomes in the treatment of patients with cancer and leukemia. However, the optimal strategies to avoid some of the side effects that could result from platelet transfusions remain under investigation. These side effects include the development of refractoriness to transfusions, alloimmunization, transfusion reactions, the transmission of infectious agents, and transfusion-associated graft-versus-host disease. Leukodepletion by filtration is promising as a means of preventing the development of alloimmunization. Results of the Trial to Reduce Alloimmunization to Platelets will be reported shortly and will shed more light on that issue. Bedside filtration of cellular blood products also diminishes the transmission of cytomegalovirus infections by that route. Transfusion reactions are often mediated by cytokines in the plasma fraction of transfused platelet concentrates, and leukodepletion prior to storage reduces their incidence. Serious bacterial infections are sometimes transmitted by platelet transfusions and improved methods are needed for their detection and prevention. Photochemical methods that could inactivate bacteria and viruses in contaminated products deserve further study.  相似文献

Duplex AAV-2 DNA was digested with SalI, PstI or HaeII restriction endonucleases and the cleavage sites were mapped. SalI cleaves AAV DNA at 0.310 map units, PstI at 0.106, 0.422 and 0.914 and the five HaeII sites were mapped at 0.110. 0.156, 0.181, 0.536 and 0.600 map units. These cleavage products will be useful for the isolation of specific regions from the AAV DNA, located outside of the stably transcribed region of the genome, and will also help to map more complex restriction enzyme cleavages.  相似文献

Physicians and patients have been frustrated by the lack of reliable information on unconventional therapies. To help fill this gap in the area of breast cancer therapy, the Canadian Breast Cancer Research Initiative formed a task force to advise it on how best to promote research into unconventional therapies. As part of the work of the task force, a review of the available literature was carried out for each of the following products: Essiac, green tea, Iscador, hydrazine sulfate, vitamins A, C and E, and 714-X. The first article in this series on unconventional therapies for cancer describes the methodology used to obtain and evaluate the information and provides a summary of the findings on Essiac. Subsequent articles will cover the other products. For most of the products reviewed, there has been some indication of possible benefit but no definitive evidence. Innovative and collaborative research needed to meet the information needs of growing numbers of patients and their physicians is now being sponsored by the Canadian Breast Cancer Research Initiative. Open communication between patients and physicians is also necessary for the maintenance of an appropriate therapeutic partnership and for the identification and control of side effects. The Ontario Division of the Canadian Cancer Society, a partner in the Canadian Breast Cancer Research Initiative, supported the preparation of a patient-information piece on unconventional therapies to accompany the series. This item will assist patients who are considering such therapies and will promote open communication between patients and their physicians.  相似文献
