Cellulose is a promising natural bio‐macromolecule due to its abundance, renewability and low cost. Here, a new method is developed to prepare pre‐sodiated carbonaceous anodes for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) from cellulose nanofibers (CNFs) under microwave irradiation for potential ultrafast and large‐scale manufacturing. While direct carbonization of CNFs through microwave treatment is usually impossible due to the weak microwave absorption of CNFs, it is found that a small amount of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) can act as an effective initiator. Microwaving rGO releases extremely high energy, giving rise to local ultrahigh temperature as well as ultrahigh heating rate, which then induces the fast carbonization of CNFs and the production of pre‐sodiated carbonaceous materials within seconds. The sodium in the carbonaceous materials, introduced from the carbonization of CNFs containing sodium‐ion carboxyl, offer favorable spaces for sodiation/desodiation, which improves the electrochemical performance of the sodium‐inserted carbonaceous anode. When the microwaved rGO‐CNF (MrGO‐CNF) is used as an anode for SIBs, a high initial capacity of 558 mAh g?1 is delivered and the capacity of 340 mAh g?1 remains after 200 cycles. The excellent reversible capacity and cycling stability indicate MrGO‐CNF a promising anode for sodium‐ion batteries.  相似文献

Antimony is a competitive and promising anode material for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) due to its high theoretical capacity. However, the poor rate capability and fast capacity fading greatly restrict its practical application. To address the above issues, a facile and eco‐friendly sacrificial template method is developed to synthesize hollow Sb nanoparticles impregnated in open carbon boxes (Sb HPs@OCB). The as‐obtained Sb HPs@OCB composite exhibits excellent sodium storage properties even when operated at an elevated temperature of 50 °C, delivering a robust rate capability of 345 mAh g?1 at 16 A g?1 and rendering an outstanding reversible capacity of 187 mAh g?1 at a high rate of 10 A g?1 after 300 cycles. Such superior electrochemical performance of the Sb HPs@OCB can be attributed to the comprehensive characteristics of improved kinetics derived from hollow Sb nanoparticles impregnated into 2D carbon nanowalls, the existence of robust Sb? O? C bond, and enhanced pseudocapacitive behavior. All those factors enable Sb HPs@OCB great potential and distinct merit for large‐scale energy storage of SIBs.  相似文献

Transition metal chalcogenide with tailored nanosheet architectures with reduced graphene oxide (rGO) for high performance electrochemical sodium ion batteries (SIBs) are presented. Via one‐step oriented attachment growth, a facile synthesis of Co9Se8 nanosheets anchored on rGO matrix nanocomposites is demonstrated. As effective anode materials of SIBs, Co9Se8/rGO nanocomposites can deliver a highly reversible capacity of 406 mA h g?1 at a current density of 50 mA g?1 with long cycle stability. It can also deliver a high specific capacity of 295 mA h g?1 at a high current density of 5 A g?1 indicating its high rate capability. Furthermore, ex situ transmission electron microscopy observations provide insight into the reaction path of nontopotactic conversion in the hybrid anode, revealing the highly reversible conversion directly between the hybrid Co9Se8/rGO and Co nanoparticles/Na2Se matrix during the sodiation/desodiation process. In addition, it is experimentally demonstrated that rGO plays significant roles in both controllable growth and electrochemical conversion processes, which can not only modulate the morphology of the product but also tune the sodium storage performance. The investigation on hybrid Co9Se8/rGO nanosheets as SIBs anode may shed light on designing new metal chalcogenide materials for high energy storage system.  相似文献

Fe2O3 is regarded as a promising anode material for lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) and sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) due to its high specific capacity. The large volume change during discharge and charge processes, however, induces significant cracking of the Fe2O3 anodes, leading to rapid fading of the capacity. Herein, a novel peapod‐like nanostructured material, consisting of Fe2O3 nanoparticles homogeneously encapsulated in the hollow interior of N‐doped porous carbon nanofibers, as a high‐performance anode material is reported. The distinctive structure not only provides enough voids to accommodate the volume expansion of the pea‐like Fe2O3 nanoparticles but also offers a continuous conducting framework for electron transport and accessible nanoporous channels for fast diffusion and transport of Li/Na‐ions. As a consequence, this peapod‐like structure exhibits a stable discharge capacity of 1434 mAh g?1 (at 100 mA g?1) and 806 mAh g?1 (at 200 mA g?1) over 100 cycles as anode materials for LIBs and SIBs, respectively. More importantly, a stable capacity of 958 mAh g?1 after 1000 cycles and 396 mAh g?1 after 1500 cycles can be achieved for LIBs and SIBs, respectively, at a large current density of 2000 mA g?1. This study provides a promising strategy for developing long‐cycle‐life LIBs and SIBs.  相似文献

Potassium‐ion batteries (KIBs) are promising alternatives to lithium‐ion batteries because of the abundance and low cost of K. However, an important challenge faced by KIBs is the search for high‐capacity materials that can hold large‐diameter K ions. Herein, copper oxide (CuO) nanoplates are synthesized as high‐performance anode materials for KIBs. CuO nanoplates with a thickness of ≈20 nm afford a large electrode–electrolyte contact interface and short K+ ion diffusion distance. As a consequence, a reversible capacity of 342.5 mAh g?1 is delivered by the as‐prepared CuO nanoplate electrode at 0.2 A g?1. Even after 100 cycles at a high current density of 1.0 A g?1, the capacity of the electrode remains over 206 mAh g?1, which is among the best values for KIB anodes reported in the literature. Moreover, a conversion reaction occurs at the CuO anode. Cu nanoparticles form during the first potassiation process and reoxidize to Cu2O during the depotassiation process. Thereafter, the conversion reaction proceeds between the as‐formed Cu2O and Cu, yielding a reversible theoretical capacity of 374 mAh g?1. Considering their low cost, easy preparation, and environmental benignity, CuO nanoplates are promising KIB anode materials.  相似文献

SnO2 has been considered as a promising anode material for lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) and sodium ion batteries (SIBs), but challenging as well for the low‐reversible conversion reaction and coulombic efficiency. To address these issues, herein, SnO2 quantum dots (≈5 nm) embedded in porous N‐doped carbon matrix (SnO2/NC) are developed via a hydrothermal step combined with a self‐polymerization process at room temperature. The ultrasmall size in quantum dots can greatly shorten the ion diffusion distance and lower the internal strain, improving the conversion reaction efficiency and coulombic efficiency. The rich mesopores/micropores and highly conductive N‐doped carbon matrix can further enhance the overall conductivity and buffer effect of the composite. As a result, the optimized SnO2/NC‐2 composite for LIBs exhibits a high coulombic efficiency of 72.9%, a high discharge capacity of 1255.2 mAh g?1 at 0.1 A g?1 after 100 cycles and a long life‐span with a capacity of 753 mAh g?1 after 1500 cycles at 1 A g?1. The SnO2/NC‐2 composite also displays excellent performance for SIBs, delivering a superior discharge capacity of 212.6 mAh g?1 at 1 A g?1 after 3000 cycles. These excellent results can be of visible significance for the size effect of the uniform quantum dots.  相似文献

Lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) have been widely applied and studied as an effective energy supplement for a variety of electronic devices. Titanium dioxide (TiO2), with a high theoretical capacity (335 mAh g?1) and low volume expansion ratio upon lithiation, has been considered as one of the most promising anode materials for LIBs. However, the application of TiO2 is hindered by its low electrical conductivity and slow ionic diffusion rate. Herein, a 2D ultrathin mesoporous TiO2/reduced graphene (rGO) heterostructure is fabricated via a layer‐by‐layer assembly process. The synergistic effect of ultrathin mesoporous TiO2 and the rGO nanosheets significantly enhances the ionic diffusion and electron conductivity of the composite. The introduced 2D mesoporous heterostructure delivers a significantly improved capacity of 350 mAh g?1 at a current density of 200 mA g?1 and excellent cycling stability, with a capacity of 245 mAh g?1 maintained over 1000 cycles at a high current density of 1 A g?1. The in situ transmission electron microscopy analysis indicates that the volume of the as‐prepared 2D heterostructures changes slightly upon the insertion and extraction of Li+, thus contributing to the enhanced long‐cycle performance.  相似文献

Novel nitrogen doped (N‐doped) hollow beaded structural composite carbon nanofibers are successfully applied for lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) and sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs). Tungsten disulfide (WS2) nanosheets are confined, through synergistic anchoring, on the surface and inside of hollow beaded carbon nanofibers (HB CNFs) via a hydrothermal reaction method to construct the hierarchical structure HB WS2@CNFs. Benefiting from this unique advantage, HB WS2@CNFs exhibits remarkable lithium‐storage performance in terms of high rate capability (≈351 mAh g?1 at 2 A g?1) and stable long‐term cycle (≈446 mAh g?1 at 1 A g?1 after 100 cycles). Moreover, as an anode material for SIBs, HB WS2@CNFs obtains excellent long cycle life and rate performance. During the charging/discharging process, the evolution of morphology and composition of the composite are analyzed by a set of ex situ methods. This synergistic anchoring effect between WS2 nanosheets and HB CNFs is capable of effectively restraining volume expansion from the metal ions intercalation/deintercalation process and improving the cycling stability and rate performance in LIBs and SIBs.  相似文献

To date, the possible depletion of lithium resources has become relevant, giving rise to the interest in Na‐ion batteries (NIBs) as promising alternatives to Li‐ion batteries. While extensive investigations have examined various transition metal oxides and chalcogenides as anode materials for NIBs, few of these have been able to utilize their high specific capacity in sodium‐based systems because of their irreversibility in a charge/discharge process. Here, the mixed Sn–S nanocomposites uniformly distributed on reduced graphene oxide are prepared via a facile hydrothermal synthesis and a unique carbothermal reduction process, producing ultrafine nanoparticle with the size of 2 nm. These nanocomposites are experimentally confirmed to overcome the intrinsic drawbacks of tin sulfides such as large volume change and sluggish diffusion kinetics, demonstrating an outstanding electrochemical performance: an excellent specific capacity of 1230 mAh g?1, and an impressive rate capability (445 mAh g?1 at 5000 mA g?1). The electrochemical behavior of a sequential conversion‐alloying reaction for the anode materials is investigated, revealing both the structural transition and the chemical state in the discharge/charge process. Comprehension of the reaction mechanism for the mixed Sn–S/rGO hybrid nanocomposites makes it a promising electrode material and provides a new approach for the Na‐ion battery anodes.  相似文献

Designing and constructing bimetallic hierarchical structures is vital for the conversion‐alloy reaction anode of sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs). Particularly, the rationally designed hetero‐interface engineering can offer fast diffusion kinetics in the interface, leading to the improved high‐power surface pseudocapacitance and cycling stability for SIBs. Herein, the hierarchical zinc–tin sulfide nanocages (ZnS‐NC/SnS2) are constructed through hydrothermal and sulfuration reactions. The unconventional hierarchical design with internal void space greatly optimizes the structure stability, and bimetallic sulfide brings a bimetallic composite interface and N heteroatom doping, which are devoted to high electrochemical activity and improved interfacial charge transfer rate for Na+ storage. Remarkably, the ZnS‐NC/SnS2 composite anode exhibits a delightful reversible capacity of 595 mAh g?1 after 100 cycles at 0.2 A g?1, and long cycling capability for 500 cycles with a low capacity loss of 0.08% per cycle at 1 A g?1. This study opens up a new route for rationally constructing hierarchical heterogeneous interfaces and sheds new light on efficient anode material for SIBs.  相似文献

Bismuth has emerged as a promising anode material for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs), owing to its high capacity and suitable operating potential. However, large volume changes during alloying/dealloying processes lead to poor cycling performance. Herein, bismuth nanoparticle@carbon (Bi@C) composite is prepared via a facile annealing method using a commercial coordination compound precursor of bismuth citrate. The composite has a uniform structure with Bi nanoparticles embedded within a carbon framework. The nanosized structure ensures a fast kinetics and efficient alleviation of stress/strain caused by the volume change, and the resilient and conductive carbon matrix provides an interconnected electron transportation pathway. The Bi@C composite delivers outstanding sodium‐storage performance with an ultralong cycle life of 30 000 cycles at a high current density of 8 A g?1 and an excellent rate capability of 71% capacity retention at an ultrahigh current rate of 60 A g?1. Even at a high mass loading of 11.5 mg cm?2, a stable reversible capacity of 280 mA h g?1 can be obtained after 200 cycles. More importantly, full SIBs by pairing with a Na3V2(PO4)3 cathode demonstrates superior performance. Combining the facile synthesis and the commercial precursor, the exceptional performance makes the Bi@C composite very promising for practical large‐scale applications.  相似文献

SnS2 has been widely studied as an anode material for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) based on the high theoretical capacity and layered structure. Unfortunately, rapid capacity decay associated with volume variation during cycling limits practical application. Herein, SnS2/Co3S4 hollow nanocubes anchored on S‐doped graphene are synthesized for the first time via coprecipitation and hydrothermal methods. When applied as the anode for SIBs, the sample delivers a distinguished charge specific capacity of 1141.8 mAh g?1 and there is no significant capacity decay (0.1 A g?1 for 50 cycles). When the rate is increased to 0.5 A g?1, it presents 845.7 mAh g?1 after cycling 100 times. Furthermore, the composite also exhibits an ultrafast sodium storage capability where 392.9 mAh g?1 can be obtained at 10 A g?1 and the charging time is less than 3 min. The outstanding electrochemical properties can be ascribed to the enhancement of conductivity for the addition of S‐doped graphene and the existence of p–n junctions in the SnS2/Co3S4 heterostructure. Moreover, the presence of mesopores between nanosheets can alleviate volume expansion during cycling as well as being beneficial for the migration of Na+.  相似文献

Carbonaceous materials have attracted immense interest as anode materials for Na‐ion batteries (NIBs) because of their good chemical, thermal stabilities, as well as high Na‐storage capacity. However, the carbonaceous materials as anodes for NIBs still suffer from the lower rate capability and poor cycle life. An N,O‐dual doped carbon (denoted as NOC) network is designed and synthesized, which is greatly favorable for sodium storage. It exhibits high specific capacity and ultralong cycling stability, delivering a capacity of 545 mAh g?1 at 100 mA g?1 after 100 cycles and retaining a capacity of 240 mAh g?1 at 2 A g?1 after 2000 cycles. The NOC composite with 3D well‐defined porosity and N,O‐dual doped induces active sites, contributing to the enhanced sodium storage. In addition, the NOC is synthesized through a facile solution process, which can be easily extended to the preparation of many other N,O‐dual doped carbonaceous materials for wide applications in catalysis, energy storage, and solar cells.  相似文献

Red phosphorus (P) has attracted intense attention as promising anode material for high‐energy density sodium‐ion batteries (NIBs), owing to its high sodium storage theoretical capacity (2595 mAh g?1). Nevertheless, natural insulating property and large volume variation of red P during cycling result in extremely low electrochemical activity, leading to poor electrochemical performance. Herein, the authors demonstrate a rational strategy to improve sodium storage performance of red P by confining nanosized amorphous red P into zeolitic imidazolate framework‐8 (ZIF‐8) ‐derived nitrogen‐doped microporous carbon matrix (denoted as P@N‐MPC). When used as anode for NIBs, the P@N‐MPC composite displays a high reversible specific capacity of ≈600 mAh g?1 at 0.15 A g?1 and improved rate capacity (≈450 mAh g?1 at 1 A g?1 after 1000 cycles with an extremely low capacity fading rate of 0.02% per cycle). The superior sodium storage performance of the P@N‐MPC is mainly attributed to the novel structure. The N‐doped porous carbon with sub‐1 nm micropore facilitates the rapid diffusion of organic electrolyte ions and improves the conductivity of the encapsulated red P. Furthermore, the porous carbon matrix can buffer the volume change of red P during repeat sodiation/desodiation process, keeping the structure intact after long cycle life.  相似文献

Research on sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) has recently been revitalized due to the unique features of much lower costs and comparable energy/power density to lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs), which holds great potential for grid‐level energy storage systems. Transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) are considered as promising anode candidates for SIBs with high theoretical capacity, while their intrinsic low electrical conductivity and large volume expansion upon Na+ intercalation raise the challenging issues of poor cycle stability and inferior rate performance. Herein, the designed formation of hybrid nanoboxes composed of carbon‐protected CoSe2 nanoparticles anchored on nitrogen‐doped carbon hollow skeletons (denoted as CoSe2@C∩NC) via a template‐assisted refluxing process followed by conventional selenization treatment is reported, which exhibits tremendously enhanced electrochemical performance when applied as the anode for SIBs. Specifically, it can deliver a high reversible specific capacity of 324 mAh g?1 at current density of 0.1 A g?1 after 200 cycles and exhibit outstanding high rate cycling stability at the rate of 5 A g?1 over 2000 cycles. This work provides a rational strategy for the design of advanced hybrid nanostructures as anode candidates for SIBs, which could push forward the development of high energy and low cost energy storage devices.  相似文献

Flexible power sources have shown great promise in next‐generation bendable, implantable, and wearable electronic systems. Here, flexible and binder‐free electrodes of Na3V2(PO4)3/reduced graphene oxide (NVP/rGO) and Sb/rGO nanocomposites for sodium‐ion batteries are reported. The Sb/rGO and NVP/rGO paper electrodes with high flexibility and tailorability can be easily fabricated. Sb and NVP nanoparticles are embedded homogenously in the interconnected framework of rGO nanosheets, which provides structurally stable hosts for Na‐ion intercalation and deintercalation. The NVP/rGO paper‐like cathode delivers a reversible capacity of 113 mAh g?1 at 100 mA g?1 and high capacity retention of ≈96.6% after 120 cycles. The Sb/rGO paper‐like anode gives a highly reversible capacity of 612 mAh g?1 at 100 mA g?1, an excellent rate capacity up to 30 C, and a good cycle performance. Moreover, the sodium‐ion full cell of NVP/rGO//Sb/rGO has been fabricated, delivering a highly reversible capacity of ≈400 mAh g?1 at a current density of 100 mA g?1 after 100 charge/discharge cycles. This work may provide promising electrode candidates for developing next‐generation energy‐storage devices with high capacity and long cycle life.  相似文献

Heteroatom‐doped carbon materials with expanded interlayer distance have been widely studied as anodes for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs). However, it remains unexplored to further enlarge the interlayer spacing and reveal the influence of heteroatom doping on carbon nanostructures for developing more efficient SIB anode materials. Here, a series of N‐rich few‐layer graphene (N‐FLG) with tuneable interlayer distance ranging from 0.45 to 0.51 nm is successfully synthesized by annealing graphitic carbon nitride (g‐C3N4) under zinc catalysis and selected temperature (T = 700, 800, and 900 °C). More significantly, the correlation between N dopants and interlayer distance of resultant N‐FLG‐T highlights the effect of pyrrolic N on the enlargement of graphene interlayer spacing, due to its stronger electrostatic repulsion. As a consequence, N‐FLG‐800 achieves the optimal properties in terms of interlayer spacing, nitrogen configuration and electronic conductivity. When used as an anode for SIBs, N‐FLG‐800 shows remarkable Na+ storage performance with ultrahigh rate capability (56.6 mAh g?1 at 40 A g?1) and excellent long‐term stability (211.3 mAh g?1 at 0.5 A g?1 after 2000 cycles), demonstrating the effectiveness of material design.  相似文献

Although sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) are considered promising alternatives to their Li counterparts, they still suffer from challenges like slow kinetics of the sodiation process, large volume change, and inferior cycling stability. On the other hand, the presence of additional reversible conversion reactions makes the metal compounds the preferred anode materials over carbon. However, conductivity and crystallinity of such materials often play the pivotal role in this regard. To address these issues, atomic layer deposited double‐anion‐based ternary zinc oxysulfide (ZnOS) thin films as an anode material in SIBs are reported. Electrochemical studies are carried out with different O/(O+S) ratios, including O‐rich and S‐rich crystalline ZnOS along with the amorphous phase. Amorphous ZnOS with the O/(O+S) ratio of ≈0.4 delivers the most stable and considerably high specific (and volumetric) capacities of 271.9 (≈1315.6 mAh cm?3) and 173.1 mAh g?1 (≈837.7 mAh cm?3) at the current densities of 500 and 1000 mA g?1, respectively. A dominant capacitive‐controlled contribution of the amorphous ZnOS anode indicates faster electrochemical reaction kinetics. An electrochemical reaction mechanism is also proposed via X‐ray photoelectron spectroscopy analyses. A comparison of the cycling stability further establishes the advantage of this double‐anion‐based material over pristine ZnO and ZnS anodes.  相似文献

It is of great importance to exploit electrode materials for sodium‐ion batteries (SIBs) with low cost, long life, and high‐rate capability. However, achieving quick charge and high power density is still a major challenge for most SIBs electrodes because of the sluggish sodiation kinetics. Herein, uniform and mesoporous NiS2 nanospheres are synthesized via a facile one‐step polyvinylpyrrolidone assisted method. By controlling the voltage window, the mesoporous NiS2 nanospheres present excellent electrochemical performance in SIBs. It delivers a high reversible specific capacity of 692 mA h g?1. The NiS2 anode also exhibits excellent high‐rate capability (253 mA h g?1 at 5 A g?1) and long‐term cycling performance (319 mA h g?1 capacity remained even after 1000 cycles at 0.5 A g?1). A dominant pseudocapacitance contribution is identified and verified by kinetics analysis. In addition, the amorphization and conversion reactions during the electrochemical process of the mesoporous NiS2 nanospheres is also investigated by in situ X‐ray diffraction. The impressive electrochemical performance reveals that the NiS2 offers great potential toward the development of next generation large scale energy storage.  相似文献

Mn2O3 is a promising anode material for lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs) because of its high theoretical capacity and low discharge potential. However, low electronic conductivity and capacity fading limits its practical application. In this work, Mn2O3 with 1D nanowire geometry is synthesized in neutral aqueous solutions by a facile and effective hydrothermal strategy for the first time, and then Mn2O3 nanoparticle and nitrogen‐doped reduced graphene oxide (N‐rGO) are composited with Mn2O3 nanowires (Mn2O3‐GNCs) to enhance its volume utilization and conductivity. When used as an anode material for LIBs, the Mn2O3‐GNCs exhibit high reversible capacity (1350 mAh g?1), stable cycling stability, and good rate capability. Surprisingly, the Mn2O3‐GNC electrodes can also show fast charging capability; even after 200 cycles (charge: 10 A g?1; discharge: 0.5 A g?1), its discharge capacity can also keep at ≈500 mAh g?1. In addition, the Mn2O3‐GNCs also have considerable full cell and supercapacitor performance. The excellent electrochemical performances can be ascribed to the N‐rGO network structure and 1D nanowire structure, which can ensure fast ion and electron transportation.  相似文献
