The effects of refractories of quarz-corundum consisting of 45 mass% quartz and 55 mass% corundum,fused corundum and fused magnesia on the total axygen content(TOC) and the composition of inclusions in intersitital free(IF) steel were studied,3 mass% microsilica was added into the three refractories as binder.The refractories were shaped as lining of the graphite crucible by castable method IF steel was placed in the crucibles,then they were heated at 1600℃ for 90min and 45min respectively.Oxygen contents of the steel samples were obtained by axygen determinator.Inclusions were analyzed by SEM and EDS.The results show that the TOC of steel increase with ncrease of Index of Oxygen Potetial (IOP) of the refractories.The steel sample coped with MgO refractories having the lowest IOP has the lowest TOC.  相似文献

Mobarakeh Steel Company produces 3 million tons ofsteel annually with eight 180 tons EBT furnaces. Differ-ent types of magnesia-carbon refractories have been em-ployed at slagline during last 5 years. In the present studythe wear and corrosion of MgO-C refractories of these fur-naces have been studied via post-mortem analysis of usedbricks and the observation of operational effects. Laborato-ry corrosion tests were also arranged to investigate the effectof slag chemistry and the mechanism of chemical corro-sion. The action of coal ash on the following types of refractories was studied: (1) high diaspore brick, (2) fireclay refractories with very little quartz, (3) fireclay refractories with considerable quartz, (4) refractories containing a mixture of diaspore and fireclay, and (5) andalusite refractories. The tests were carried out in a rotary test furnace at temperatures ranging from 1500 to 1600°C. The phases present in the coal-ash refractory slag were identified by means of the petrographic microscope and consisted of magnetite, mullite, and glass. The Magnezit Works Company has developed and is installing a technology for manufacturing spinel-periclase-carbon refractories based on molten powders of periclase and aluminomagnesia spinel. Pilot tests of the refractories in a steel-melting ladle have shown that they can compete with the best foreign counterparts. The effectiveness of use of ShPUP refractories in the functional layer of the bottom and the branch pipe of the vacuum chamber of a batch degasser is shown. A study directed at creation of ShPUP refractories with elevated operating characteristics for the slag lines of ladles is carried out. The application range of the refractories is expected to widen.  相似文献

研究了Al2 O3和ZrO2 对水煤浆加压气化炉用高铬耐火材料结构与性能的影响。结果表明 :Al2 O3能有效提高高铬材料的致密化程度 ;适量的ZrO2 能够明显地改善高铬耐火材料的抗热震性能。颗粒与基质比较紧密的结合 ,粒状和环状(Cr,Al) 2 O3固溶体的共存 ,以及增韧相ZrO2 均匀分布的显微结构特征 ,都是高铬耐火材料具有较好综合性能的内在因素。  相似文献

Gasification of renewable fuels is not common practice due to the high costs of technologies and the absence of reliably working refractories. Refractory degradation is of such high significance that improved refractory durability was ranked first by industry experts in a list of 20 research and development areas related to the economic viability of gasification. Therefore, for improvement of the reliability and durability of refractory linings, this work is dealing with the corrosion resistance of nine commercial refractories to a variety of emissions from potential fuels. The refractories were exposed to a gasifier-like, water vapour and alkali rich atmosphere. Exposures with a duration of 250 h produced corrosion effects that were investigated by scanning electron microscopy, energy dispersive X-ray spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction. Furthermore, thermodynamic calculations were included to further explain the equilibrium chemistry. The results show that extremely low silica refractories are promising candidates for gasifier utilisation.  相似文献

Boron-containing additives are used to improve the oxidation resistance of carbon-containing refractories; however, their effects on the mechanical properties and slag corrosion resistance of the refractories have rarely been studied. In this work, B4C, Mg2B2O5, and ZrB2 powders were incorporated into low-carbon MgO–C refractories to study their effects on the mechanical properties, oxidation resistance, and slag corrosion resistance of the refractories. The relationships between these properties and the microstructure and phase evolution were also studied. The results show that the flexural strengths of the MgO–C refractories at high temperatures are closely related to the apparent porosity and formation of an Mg3B2O6 phase. The oxidation resistances are greatly improved after the introduction of boron-containing additives into the MgO–C refractories in terms of both thermodynamical aspects and the filling of voids and pores. The most effective antioxidant is B4C, followed by the ZrB2 and Mg2B2O5 powders. The mechanisms through which the vanadium-containing slag attacks the MgO–C refractories mainly include the dissolution of magnesia to form melting phases, penetration through pores, and redox reaction with carbon.  相似文献

Conclusions The imported refractories and design of the slide gate were analyzed. Experience in their use, which may be used in domestic practice for increasing refractory life and improving the designs of refractories and gates and the method of teeming steel through slide gates, was obtained.At Belorussian Metallurgical Plant a set of domestic refractories has been introduced in the Interstop slide gate in place of the imported ones. The West Siberian Integrated Iron-and-Steel Works has tested in 350-ton casting ladles mullite-corundum refractories of grade MKB-75 (TU 14-8-633-95) produced by the Semiluki Refractory Plant. The use of these refractories in the ladles for casting steel into molds provides an endurance of 40 heats without replacing the slag zone or the bottom, which is 1.5 times higher than the endurance of ladles lined with conventional KVKB refractories. The use of MKB-75 refractories for continuous casting is inexpedient because of the elevated specific consumption and low endurance of the refractories.  相似文献
