A stepped‐impedance‐stub loaded stepped‐impedance resonator (SISLSIR) is proposed to design a dual‐band bandpass filter. The even‐ and odd‐mode frequencies and the coupling strength of the proposed resonators can be independently designed and adjusted. A dual‐feedline structure is used to meet the required external couplings of the 2 passbands. Thus, both the center frequencies and the bandwidths of the 2 passbands can be independently controlled. A 6‐pole dual‐band filter with the passbands of 3300~3600 MHz and 4800~5000 MHz is successfully designed using the proposed method and fabricated with YBCO/MgO high‐temperature superconducting (HTS) wafer. The measured results of the filter exhibit high performance and match well with the simulations. The measured insertion losses are less than 0.2/0.3 dB, and the return losses are greater than 15/14 dB for the lower/upper passbands, respectively. The out‐of‐band rejection is greater than 68 dB up to 12 GHz.  相似文献

A novel dual‐mode optimized patch capacitor loaded T‐type resonator is proposed for the design of a dual‐band filter (DBF). The resonator has its lowest even‐ and odd‐mode at the two expected passband frequencies and the first spurious mode far away from the passbands. For tuning of the two sets of coupling strengths for both passbands, open/shorted secondary coupling structures are introduced as a fine‐tuning coupling structure to increase/decrease the primary coupling strength. A four‐pole DBF with passbands centered at 2450 and 3500 MHz, respectively, is proposed and fabricated using the HTS material. The measured results of the filter indicate superior performance and good fitting with the simulation results. The return losses of both passbands and the insertion losses obtained by measurements are greater than 14 dB and less than 0.3 dB, respectively. The stopband rejection exceeds 50 dB up to 8.0 GHz.  相似文献

In this article, interdigital capacitor loaded co‐directional split ring resonators (CDSRRs) and their dual‐band bandpass filter applications are proposed. The proposed resonator is formed by nested open loop resonators having open ends at the same place unlike conventional split ring resonators (SRRs). In addition, the inner open loop resonator has interdigital capacitor located between the open ends. The proposed resonator exhibits dual resonance behavior with a small center frequency ratio. Both of resonance frequencies can be controlled due to the changes in the interdigital capacitor and the electrical length of the outer resonator. A dual‐band microstrip bandpass filter is designed by using the proposed CDSRR. Two CDSRRs are used to obtain two poles in each passband. Overall electrical length of the designed filter is 0.23 λg × 0.14 λg (0.0329 λg2), where λg is the guided wavelength for the used substrate at the lowest passband center frequency of 1.8 GHz. A small center frequency is obtained by adjusting the second passband at 2.27 GHz. A very wide upper stopband, closely spaced passbands, low insertion losses and high selectivity at both passbands can be obtained by means of the proposed structure. The designed filter was also fabricated and tested. The measured results show a very good agreement with the predicted results.  相似文献

In this article, a compact dual‐band bandpass filter (BPF) is developed using a hybrid resonant structure, which consists of a microstrip stub‐loaded dual‐mode resonator and a slotline stub‐loaded dual‐mode resonator. These two resonators, both having two controllable resonant modes and one transmission zero (TZ), are analyzed and used to construct two desired passbands of a dual‐band BPF. Multiple TZs are generated by introducing a source‐load coupling, thus improving the selectivity of the passbands. Then, the dual‐band BPF is reshaped to configure a compact diplexer. The inherent TZs of the two proposed resonators are designed to improve the frequency property and port isolation of the diplexer. Finally, a dual‐band BPF and a diplexer with the lower and upper passbands centered at 2.45 and 3.45 GHz, respectively, are designed, fabricated, and measured to verify the proposed structure and method.  相似文献

In this article, a novel reconfigurable bandpass filter with tunable passband edge and bandwidth is proposed. The bandpass filter enables the two band edges independently adjustable to meet the needs of different systems. The wide tuning range of the bandwidth is achieved by controlling the tuning mechanism to altering not only the coupling strength of the coupled lines but also the transmission zeroes positions of the resonator. The lower passband edge can shifts from 760 to 840 MHz with the upper passband edge keeping still and the upper edge of the passbands from 981 to 1107 MHz with the lower edge keeping still. The overall tuning range of 3 dB fractional bandwidth is from 15.5% to 36%. The upper stopband attenuation of the fabricated structure can reach to 40 dB within a wide frequency range.  相似文献

In this article, a novel dual‐band circularly polarized (CP) dielectric resonator antenna (DRA) for millimeter‐wave (MMW) band is presented. The rectangular dielectric resonator with layered truncated corners is excited by a microstrip‐coupled cross‐slot. CP radiations in the lower band are realized by utilizing two quasi‐TE111 modes operating at 21.7 GHz and 23.8 GHz, while CP radiations in the upper band are obtained by exciting a quasi‐TE113 mode at 28.2 GHz. The dual‐band DRA is fabricated and measured. Due to the higher order mode, the average gain of the DRA in the upper band is about 3 dB higher than that in the lower band. The measured impedance bandwidths (|S11| < ?10 dB) are 17.0% (20.5‐24.3 GHz) and 15.2% (26.1‐30.4 GHz), while the measured axial ratio (AR) bandwidths (AR < 3 dB) are 12.8% (21.2‐24.1 GHz) and 5% (27.4‐28.8 GHz). In addition, the peak gain values are 5 and 8 dBic.  相似文献

A novel zeroth‐order resonator (ZOR) meta‐material (MTM) antenna with dual‐band is suggested using compound right/left handed transmission line as MTM. In this article, suggested antenna consists of patch through series gap, two meander line inductors, and two circular stubs. The MTM antenna is compact in size which shows dual‐band properties with first band centered at 2.47 GHz (2.05‐2.89 GHz) and second band is centered at 5.9 GHz (3.70‐8.10 GHz) with impedance bandwidth of (S11 < ? 10 dB) 34.69% and 72.45%, respectively. At ZOR mode (2.35 GHz), the suggested antenna has overall dimension of 0.197λo × 0.07λo × 0.011λo with gain of 1.65 dB for ZOR band and 3.35 dB for first positive order resonator band which covers the applications like Bluetooth (2.4 GHZ), TV/Radio/Data (3.700‐6.425 GHz), WLAN (5‐5.16 GHz), C band frequencies (5.15‐5.35, 5.47‐5.725, or 5.725‐5.875 GHz) and satellite communication (7.25‐7.9 GHz). The radiation patterns of suggested structure are steady during the operating band for which sample antenna has been fabricated and confirmed experimentally. It exhibits novel omnidirectional radiation characteristics in phi = 0° plane with lower cross‐polarization values.  相似文献

A novel half‐mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) based dual‐band bandpass filter (DBBPF) is proposed. Back to back connected two defected ground structure (DGS) resonators on the top layer of HMSIW cavity constitute the passband with two transmission zeros (TZs) at a lower frequency. The higher modes TE301 and TE302 of HMSIW cavity give the passband response at higher frequency using the mode shifting technique with slot perturbation. The source‐load coupling has been used to create finite frequency TZs to improve the selectivity of the second passband. Therefore, the proposed filter gives two widely separated passbands, center frequencies (CFs) at 5.83 and 18.1 GHz with an attenuation of greater than 10 dB between the passbands. The synthesized filter is fabricated using a low‐cost single layer PCB process, and the measured S‐parameters are almost mimic the EM‐simulation results.  相似文献

In this article, a balanced microstrip dual‐band bandpass filter (BPF) is designed. The proposed filter is achieved by employing a microstrip U‐shape half‐wavelength resonator, a folded stub‐loaded resonator and balanced microstrip/slotline transition structures. The center frequencies and the fractional bandwidths of the two differential‐mode (DM) passbands can be controlled independently by changing the physical lengths of the two resonators and the gaps between each resonator, respectively. The balanced microstrip/slotline transition structures can achieve a wideband common‐mode (CM) suppression. Meanwhile, the DM passbands are independent from the CM responses, which significantly simplify the design procedure. In addition, a wide DM stopband is also realized. In order to validate the design strategies, a balanced dual‐band BPF centered at 2.57 and 3.41 GHz was fabricated and a good agreement between the simulated and measured results is observed.  相似文献

A dual‐band dual‐polarized hybrid aperture‐cylindrical dielectric resonator antenna (CDRA) is examined in this article. Inverted regular pentagon shaped aperture is not only used to launch two radiating hybrid modes (HEM11δ and HEM12δ mode) in CDRA but also act as a radiator. Out of two frequency bands, the lower frequency band is linearly polarized while upper frequency band is the combination of both circular and linear polarization. A circular polarization (CP) characteristic in upper frequency band is created by loading quarter annular stub with microstrip line. LHCP/RHCP can easily be controlled by alternating the position of quarter annular stub. It is operating over two frequency ranges i.e. 2.48‐2.98 GHz and 4.66‐5.88 GHz with the fractional bandwidth 18.31% and 23.14% respectively. Axial ratio bandwidth (3‐dB) is approximately 8.78% (4.9‐5.35 GHz) in upper frequency band. The proposed antenna design is suitable WiMAX (2.5/5.5 GHz) and WLAN (2.5/5.5 GHz) applications.  相似文献

A novel square ring printed antenna has been suggested for dual‐band circular polarization (CP). The geometry contains a square patch and a square ring structure for dual‐band operation. Circular polarization is achieved using triangular cut at the boundary and right angle bend with inner perturbation. The suggested antenna is excited from the lower layer through electromagnetic (EM) coupling technique. The antenna shows good impedance bandwidths of 90 MHz (2.43‐2.52 GHz) and 800 MHz (5.7‐6.5 GHz, respectively. The antenna shows 3 dB axial ratio bandwidth of 20 MHz at lower band and 120 MHz at upper band with improved gain > 6 dBi. The simulated and measured results are well agreed with each other. The antenna is promising wideband operation at the upper band. This antenna was implemented on fiberglass reinforcement laminated Arlon substrate with dielectric constant (?r = 2.55), and the overall physical dimension of 30 × 30 × 3.048 mm3. The designed antenna can be extensibly applicable in WLAN/Wi‐MAX communication. The presented antenna is designed using hyperlynx IE3D and the simulated results are presented.  相似文献

This article presents a new dual C‐shaped rectangular dielectric resonator (DR) based antenna for generation of wideband circularly polarized (CP) radiation. The proposed antenna comprises of a pair of C‐shaped rectangular dielectric DR and a metal strip with a coaxial probe. By utilization of a metal strip at the side surface of C‐shaped rectangular DR, the wideband CP radiation is achieved from the proposed dielectric resonator antenna (DRA). Fundamental orthogonal modes (TExδ11 and TEy1δ1) are excited using the rectangular DRA with a metal strip for the generation of CP fields. The proposed antenna with dual C‐shaped rectangular CP DRA provides the measured ?10 dB reflection coefficient bandwidth of 30.07% (3.22 GHz‐4.36 GHz) with measured 3‐dB axial ratio bandwidth of 14.81% (3.25 GHz‐3.77 GHz) at the boresight. The proposed antenna covers the useful Wi‐MAX band.  相似文献

A frequency reconfigurable third‐order bandpass filter based on two substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) cavities is presented in this article. The purposed filter consists of a dual‐mode square‐shaped resonator and a triangular‐shaped resonator. In the square‐shaped cavity, four lumped capacitors are loaded as electrical tuning elements in the area where the electric fields of diagonal TE201 and TE102 modes are strongest. And an another capacitor is loaded at the suitable region of the triangular‐shaped cavity. Square‐shaped cavity introduces two transmission zeros and the triangular‐shaped cavity can suppress out‐of‐band spurious modes. The method that combines the resonators with different shapes and multiple modes into an organic whole cannot only achieve synchronous tuning but also have complementary advantages and improve out‐of‐band rejection. To verify its practicality, a SIW reconfigurable bandpass filter is simulated when the capacitance value varies from 0 to 1.4 pF and measured at 0.7, 0.8, and 0.9 pF, respectively. Measured results show that when the center frequency is tuned from 3.42 to 3.52 GHz, the proposed filter exhibits good tuning performance with insertion loss of less than 2.5 dB and return loss of better than 10 dB, which is suitable for fifth‐generation communication system.  相似文献

A planar dual circularly polarized slot antenna is presented. The designed antenna has two tilted “8” shaped slots fed by microstrip lines, one each for transmission (TX) and reception (RX) operations. The isolation between the two ports (TX and RX) is augmented by means of an interdigital capacitor based bandstop filter. The proposed antenna has an impedance bandwidth of 361 MHz centered at 2.293 GHz (2.113‐2.474 GHz) with the isolation between the ports being >17.6 dB which goes up to a value as high as 46 dB within the band of operation. The 3 dB axial ratio (AR) bandwidth is 11.52% centered at 2.1275 GHz (2.005‐2.25 GHz). Because of its high inter‐port isolation within the AR bandwidth, the design is suitable as a full‐duplex antenna for applications in S‐band.  相似文献

An ultra‐wideband compact bandpass filter (BPF) with configurable stopband by tuning transmission zeroes is proposed in this paper. The ultra‐wideband bandpass response is based on a diamond‐shape resonator consisting of a pair of broadside coupled diamond‐shape microstrip lines, within which a diamond shape defected ground structure (DGS) is etched in the middle. Flexible transmission zeros realized by open and short stubs can be easily adjusted to improve band selectivity and harmonic suppression. Measurement result shows that the dedicated device has a 3 dB fractional bandwidth of 148% (0.94‐6.36 GHz) with 20 dB rejection stopband from 6.87 to 9.7 GHz (77.5%) which agrees good with the simulate performance. The overall size of the proposed BPF is 0.27 λg × 0.23 λg.  相似文献

A printed dual‐band dipole filtenna with flexible frequency ratio and improved band‐notched performance is proposed. It consists of a driven dipole and three parasitic elements. For the driven dipole with short and long arms, a radiation null is found between two passbands, which achieves a band‐notched filtering characteristic. Two parasitic elements are introduced to enhance the passband bandwidth and an additional parasitic element is utilized to improve the band‐notched performance. In addition, the characteristics of the proposed design including flexible frequency ratio, independent controllable operating frequency, and controllable band‐notched bandwidth have also been demonstrated. A filtenna prototype is fabricated and tested. Measured results show that a fractional bandwidth of 21.1% and 18.1% is obtained in the lower and upper passbands, respectively. The measured efficiency is 84% in the lower band and 74% in the upper band but the efficiency sharply decreases to about 13% within the notched band.  相似文献

This article focuses on the common problem of uncontrollable transmission zero (TZ) in X‐band filter design. Using uniform impedance rectangular resonator (UIRR) to design an X‐band filter always results in an unpredictable TZ on the low‐frequency side of the passband, which greatly deteriorates the frequency selectivity of the filter performance. Electromagnetic coupling polarity analysis of the UIRR shows that the magnetic crosscoupling between nonadjacent resonators which is opposite to the main coupling plays a major role in the unpredictable TZ. By optimizing the UIRR from the loop structure with a small opening to the folded one, weak couplings between resonators are obtained. A high‐temperature superconducting filter at X‐band using folded UIRR resonator was designed and fabricated with a center frequency of 10.01 GHz and a bandwidth of 58 MHz, and the uncontrollable TZ has been removed successfully from the low‐frequency side of passband. The measured insertion loss is less than 0.4 dB and the return loss is greater than 15 dB.  相似文献

This article presents a highly selective dual‐passband filter based on stepped‐impedance‐resonator (SIR) and mixed electromagnetic coupling. First, the surface area of the filter is effectively reduced by the triangular topology. Second, four controllable transmission zeros are introduced by source‐load coupling feed and mixed electromagnetic, which increases the selectivity of the filter. Third, a perturbation structure is added to independently control the resonance points of each passband. Finally, the improved defect ground structure (DGS) is integrated to obtain wide stopband rejection. The measured S‐parameters are well agreement with the simulated results, which show that the center frequencies of the two passbands are 2.4 GHz and 5.2 GHz; and the passband insertion losses are 0.85 dB and 1.6 dB; and the relative bandwidths are 14.6% and 5.7%, respectively. Besides, the structure is with six transmission zeros, and 20 dB suppression for the third harmonic and the fourth harmonic are achieved. Compared with the traditional SIR double‐passband filter, this filter has many advantages, such as simple design, small size, small insertion loss, controllable frequency, high selectivity, and high spurious suppression.  相似文献

In this study, a novel stepped impedance resonator (SIR) is proposed. This SIR is composed of two stepped impedance transmission‐lines and an interdigital capacitor structure. The proposed resonator has a high ratio of the first spurious frequency fs to the fundamental frequency f0 and is suitable to design wide stopband filters. An equivalent model is used to analyze the resonant properties of the resonator. The design guidelines of the proposed resonator are summarized. Moreover, the coupling properties of the resonator are simulated and analyzed. Finally, a small high‐temperature superconducting bandpass filter is designed and fabricated using the proposed SIRs. The stopband of the filter is extended up to 4.0 f0 and 3.5 f0 with 30 and 60 dB out‐of‐band rejection levels, respectively.  相似文献

Two dual‐band band pass filters (BPF) using stub‐loaded open‐loop (SLOL) resonator are presented in this article. A novel coupling tuning method by changing the relative coupling position of the resonators is proposed to control the bandwidth of each passband in a wide range. Transmission zeros are created to improve the selectivity by source‐load coupling. Because of the large ratio of two bandwidths, a novel dual‐band matching method is proposed to match the different load impedances at two passband frequencies to the same source impedance. Hence, relax the fabrication requirement of gap. The proposed dual‐band band pass filter is designed and fabricated. The measured 3 dB fractional bandwidths (FBWs) of two 2.45/5.25 GHz dual‐band BPFs are 6.5%/14.5% and 9.8%/5.5%, respectively. The results are in good agreement with the simulation. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J RF and Microwave CAE 24:367–374, 2014.  相似文献
