In this article, a dual‐wideband filtering power divider is proposed by using a center‐fed three‐line coupled structure with three open stubs and two isolation resistors. The center‐fed three‐line coupled structure can generate two wide passbands separated by a transmission zero (TZ). The three open stubs can achieve four TZs around the two passbands, which is conducive to the frequency selectivity. Compared with the reported designs, the bandwidth is extended and the performance of isolation, insertion loss and circuit size can reach balance. The proposed design is implemented with size of 0.22 λg × 0.39 λg (λg is the guided wavelength at the center frequency of the lower passband) which exhibits the 3‐dB fractional bandwidths of 56.5%/24.27% and the insertion loss of 0.51/0.68 dB at the center frequency of two passband (f1/ f2) of 1.94/4.2 GHz, while the isolation at f1/f2 are higher than 22.5/20.1 dB.  相似文献

An ultra‐wideband compact bandpass filter (BPF) with configurable stopband by tuning transmission zeroes is proposed in this paper. The ultra‐wideband bandpass response is based on a diamond‐shape resonator consisting of a pair of broadside coupled diamond‐shape microstrip lines, within which a diamond shape defected ground structure (DGS) is etched in the middle. Flexible transmission zeros realized by open and short stubs can be easily adjusted to improve band selectivity and harmonic suppression. Measurement result shows that the dedicated device has a 3 dB fractional bandwidth of 148% (0.94‐6.36 GHz) with 20 dB rejection stopband from 6.87 to 9.7 GHz (77.5%) which agrees good with the simulate performance. The overall size of the proposed BPF is 0.27 λg × 0.23 λg.  相似文献

A coupled‐line band‐pass filter (BPF) with T‐shaped stub structure is presented. Five transmission poles within the passband and eight deep transmission zeros (TZs) from 0 to 2f0 (f0 denotes filter's center frequency) are realized through input impedance calculations. With the simple T‐shaped structure, the positions of six TZs can be appropriately adjusted to achieve high frequency selectivity and stopband rejection. For demonstration, a BPF prototype centered at 2.05 GHz is designed and fabricated, whose measured rejection levels are of over 45.5 dB at lower stopband and better than 19.5 dB at upper stopband. The simulation and measurement results are in good agreement, which validates the design idea.  相似文献

In this article, the filtering balanced‐to‐single‐ended power dividing networks are proposed. Except the fundamental functions of differential‐mode transmission, common‐mode suppression, and out‐of‐phase single‐ended output ports with isolation, the proposed designs show the advantages of wide controllable range of differential‐mode bandwidth, multiple transmission zeros (TZs), and wide bandwidth for high out‐of‐band suppression. The frequencies of TZs, bandwidth, isolation, and common‐mode suppression can be controlled by the parameters. For demonstration, three prototypes (Deigns I, II, and III) with two, four, or six TZs are implemented. The measured results show that design I (II and III) has an insertion loss of 0.38 dB (0.7 dB and 0.8 dB), an operating bandwidth of 12.5% (7.5% and 6.9%), and a bandwidth for 30‐dB out‐of‐band suppression of 0.06f0 (0.09f0 and 0.14f0). The isolation and common‐mode suppression inside the passbands of the three prototypes are all larger than 17 and 38 dB, respectively.  相似文献

An approach to 1‐to‐n (n = 3, 4…) way single‐ended‐to‐balanced filtering power splitter (SETBFPS) is proposed. The properly placed balanced ports with 0.5λg (λg is the substrate integrated waveguide [SIW] guided wavelength at f0) space make the TE32nd 103 and TE32nd 105 modes of n 32nd‐mode SIW multimode resonators form differential‐mode (DM) passband of the SETBFPS. Compared with the state‐of‐art single‐ended‐to‐balanced power splitters, the proposed approach has all the functions of 1‐to‐n way, filtering, and common‐mode (CM) suppression. A 1‐to‐3 way prototype is exemplified at 3.5 GHz with the minimum insertion loss (IL) of 0.09 dB, a fractional bandwidth (FBW) for a 15‐dB return loss of 35%, and a FBW for 15‐dB CM suppression of 52%. Low IL and wide bandwidth can be observed.  相似文献

The folded multiple‐mode resonators with complementary split ring resonator (CSRR), and defected ground structures (DGS) are introduced for notched ultrawideband (UWB) bandpass filter (BPF) design in this article. Using the CSRR, FMRR, notched wide‐band BPF, a notch response can exist in the UWB passband for blocking the interference. Adjusting the size factor of CSRR, the wide tuning ranges of notch frequencies included the desired frequencies of 5.2/5.8 GHz are achieved. The lower insertion loss (0.31 dB), higher rejection level (?48.40 dB), wider bandwidth (FBW 75%), and wider stopband (extended to 2.01 f0 below ?20 dB rejection level) of UWB band at the central frequency f0 = 4.58 GHz are obtained. Second, design a CSRR, DGS, FMRR, tri‐notched UWB filter, the wider bandwidth (3.1–9.8 GHz) with FBW = 126%, lower insertion loss (0.26 dB), and higher rejection level (?44 dB) of UWB band at central frequency f0 = 5.6 GHz are presented. Using the CSRR and interdigital couple, three notch responses can exist in the UWB passband for blocking the interference signals. Adjusting the size factor of CSRR and interdigital couple, the wide tuning ranges of notch frequencies included the desired frequencies of 5.18/6.10/8.08 GHz are achieved. The wide tuning ranges of three notched frequencies cover from 5.0 to 8.4 GHz. It is a simple way to control the notch responses. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. By etching slots in the low‐impedance section of the conventional stepped‐impedance resonator, a novel slotted stepped‐impedance resonator (SSIR) is proposed. As two examples, a fourth‐order bandpass filter (BPF) operating at 1 GHz with a size of 0.078 λg × 0.062 λg and a miniaturized diplexer operating at 0.9/1.57 GHz with a size of 0.054 λ0 × 0.086 λ0 are designed based on the proposed SSIR. The fabricated BPF exhibits a high selectivity and a wide ?30 dB rejection upper stopband from 1.13 f0 to 6.52 f0, while the fabricated diplexer has up to ?60 dB output isolation. © 2012 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. In this paper, a compact novel simple design of ultra‐wide bandpass filter with high out of band attenuation is presented. The filter configuration is based on combining an ultra‐wide band composite right/left‐handed (CRLH) band pass filter (BPF) with simple uni‐planar configuration of complementary split ring resonator (UP‐CSRR). By integrating two UP‐CSRR cells, the ultra‐wideband CRLH filter roll‐off and wide stopband attenuation are enhanced. The filter has 3 dB cutoff frequencies at 3.1 GHz and 10.6 GHz with insertion loss equals 0.7 dB in average and minimum and maximum values of 0.48 dB and 1.05 dB, respectively over the filter passband. Within the passband. The transition band attenuation from 3 dB to 20 dB is achieved within the frequency band 1.9 GHz to 3.1 GHz (48%) at lower cutoff and the frequency band 10.6 GHz to 11.4 GHz (7%) at upper stopband. Moreover, the filter has a wide stopband attenuation >20 dB in frequencies 11 GHz to 13.6 GHz (21%) and ends with 3 dB cutoff frequency at 14.8 GHz. Furthermore, the designed filter size is very compact (23 × 12 mm2) whose length is only about 0.17 λg at 6.85 GHz. The filter performance is examined using circuit modeling, full‐wave simulations, and experimental measurements with good matching between all of them.  相似文献

In this article, a wideband and spurious‐suppressed differential bandpass filter based on strip‐loaded slot‐line structure is presented. By means of the differential microstrip‐slot‐line‐microstrip transition, the proposed filter has a wideband bandpass filtering response. Simultaneously, the utilization of the strip‐loaded slot‐line extends its upper stop‐band. The proposed bandpass filter has wider upper‐stopband, wideband bandpass response, and intrinsic high common‐mode (CM) suppression. To verify the design concept, one filter example has been designed, fabricated, and measured. It has a differential‐mode (DM) 3‐dB fractional bandwidth of 157% with a low 0.82 dB minimum insertion loss. What's more, it shows a very wide 20 dB DM stop‐band bandwidth of 6.5 f0d. The experienced results are in good agreement with the theoretical and simulated results.  相似文献

Compact planar substrate‐integrated waveguide (SIW) diplexers with wide‐stopband characteristics are presented for the first time based on collaborative multispurious mode suppression techniques including the harmonic staggered technique, centered coupling windows, and offset‐centered output ports. The coupling scheme using common dual‐mode resonator coupled with multiple single‐mode resonators is adopted here to eliminate the T‐junctions for size and loss reduction, and the dual‐mode coupling controlling technique we previously proposed is also employed to allocate the fractional bandwidths (FBWs) of the two channels flexibly based on the FBW design graph. Additionally, by combining the harmonic staggered technique, centered coupling windows, and offset‐centered output ports, good out‐of‐band rejections can be achieved and excellent wide‐stopband characteristics have been implemented intrinsically. Two prototypes including second‐order and third‐order SIW diplexers are synthesized, designed, fabricated, and tested as demonstrations, extending the stopbands to 1.78f1 and 2.04f1 with the rejection levels better than 17.5 and 20 dB, respectively.  相似文献

In this article, a wide stopband 20 dB harmonically suppressed low‐pass filter (LPF) using novel defected ground structures (DGSs) is proposed. The DGSs has been analyzed as a low pass filter which shows a significant harmonics suppression in the stopband. The lumped parameter equivalent of the DGSs has been developed to show its effectiveness. The modified equivalent circuit model of the filter helps in placing the transmission zero near ?3 dB cutoff frequency. The LPF is designed on a 0.10 λg× 0.09 λg substrate size where λg is guided wavelength at ?3 dB cut‐off frequency (fc) equal to1 GHz. The simulation shows a 20 dB harmonic suppression up to 50 fc. The prototype of the LPF has been developed and with the available vector network analyser, the S‐parameters have been measured upto 20 GHz (20 fc).The state of the art comparison of the LPF shows a high figure of merit equal to 26 250 which is higher than many recently published works.  相似文献

The wideband bandpass filtering branch‐line balun with high isolation is presented in this paper. The proposed balun can be designed for wideband performances by choosing a proper characteristics impedance of input vertical transmission line and odd‐mode impedance of parallel‐coupled lines. The proposed balun was designed at a center frequency (f0) of 3.5 GHz for validation. The measured results are in good agreement with the simulations. The measured power divisions are ?3.31 dB and ?3.24 dB at f0 and ?3 ± 0.17 dB within the bandwidth of 0.95 GHz (3 GHz to 3.95 GHz). The input return loss of 24.09 is measured at f0 and higher than 20 dB over the same bandwidth. Moreover, the measured output losses are better than 11 dB within a wide bandwidth. The isolation between output ports is 20.32 dB at f0 and higher than 13.2 dB for a broad bandwidth from 1 GHz to 10 GHz. The phase difference and magnitude imbalance between two output ports are 180° ± 4.5° and ± 0.95 dB, respectively, for the bandwidth of 0.95 GHz.  相似文献

A wideband wide stopband filter is designed using asymmetric stepped‐impedance resonators (ASIRs) connected to a large open stub. The capacitive open stub and the parallel‐coupled microstrip line are used to achieve the strong couplings for large fractional bandwidth (FBW). For a wide‐stopband performance, the proposed filter uses ASIRs to improve the high‐order spurious resonant frequency. The first and last resonators of the proposed filter are further optimized to suppress the spurious resonant frequency caused by open stub. The final filter has a 70% FBW centered at 4.87 GHz with 20‐dB‐rejection stopband up to 15.78 GHz (approximately 3.24 f0). The measured insertion loss is less than 0.15 dB and the return loss is better than 17 dB.  相似文献

A Compact Dual Band‐Bandpass Filter (DB‐BPF) with wide stopband rejection is proposed in this article. The basic tools used in the structure are Short Circuited Stepped Impedance Resonators (SCSIR), Open Stub Resonators (OSR). First, a Single Band‐Bandpass Filter (SB‐BPF) is designed with wide stopband rejection, and then it is modified to DB‐BPF. Both the SB‐BPF and DB‐BPFs have similar type of construction except for an additional SCSIRs used in DB filter. The structure of the filters, use the source‐load coupling and OSR to generate transmission zeros, which suppresses harmonics and achieves wide stopband. The use of SCSIRs make the SB and DB bandpass filters size compact to 0.099λg×0.094λg and 0.118λg×0.092λg, where λg is guided wavelength with a wide stopband upto 6.85f0 with 22 dB suppression for SB‐BPF and 2.78f1/7.57f0 with 22 dB suppression for DB‐BPF, where f0 and f1 are centre frequencies of first and second passbands respectively.  相似文献

A quarter‐mode (QM) substrate‐integrated‐waveguide (SIW) cavity is designed as a dual‐functional component. By etching three slots, four sub‐cavities are formed and then two of them with the same size are individually fed by a coaxial port. Three resonating frequencies are excited in the single QM SIW cavity. One of them can radiate cavity energy input by these ports into free space, implying a two‐element multiple‐input‐multiple‐output (MIMO) antenna, whereas the other two can transmit energy from one port to the other port, indicating a second‐order bandpass filter. Moreover, antenna isolation and filter bandwidth can be adjusted to a certain degree. A prototype with the overall size of 0.40λ0 × 0.40λ0 × 0.02λ0 has been fabricated. The integrated bandpass filter demonstrates the measured center frequency of 3.8 GHz and operating bandwidth of 32 MHz while the integrated MIMO antenna exhibits the frequency of 3.4 GHz, bandwidth of 67 MHz, port isolation of 18.0 dB, radiation gain of 4.0 dBi, and envelope correlation coefficient of 0.25.  相似文献

A novel zeroth‐order resonator (ZOR) meta‐material (MTM) antenna with dual‐band is suggested using compound right/left handed transmission line as MTM. In this article, suggested antenna consists of patch through series gap, two meander line inductors, and two circular stubs. The MTM antenna is compact in size which shows dual‐band properties with first band centered at 2.47 GHz (2.05‐2.89 GHz) and second band is centered at 5.9 GHz (3.70‐8.10 GHz) with impedance bandwidth of (S11 < ? 10 dB) 34.69% and 72.45%, respectively. At ZOR mode (2.35 GHz), the suggested antenna has overall dimension of 0.197λo × 0.07λo × 0.011λo with gain of 1.65 dB for ZOR band and 3.35 dB for first positive order resonator band which covers the applications like Bluetooth (2.4 GHZ), TV/Radio/Data (3.700‐6.425 GHz), WLAN (5‐5.16 GHz), C band frequencies (5.15‐5.35, 5.47‐5.725, or 5.725‐5.875 GHz) and satellite communication (7.25‐7.9 GHz). The radiation patterns of suggested structure are steady during the operating band for which sample antenna has been fabricated and confirmed experimentally. It exhibits novel omnidirectional radiation characteristics in phi = 0° plane with lower cross‐polarization values.  相似文献

This work presents two dual polarized proximity‐fed monostatic patch antennas with improved interport isolation for 2.4 GHz industrial, scientific and medical band same frequency full duplex wireless applications. The presented antennas achieves the high interport decoupling through intrinsic isolation of the polarization diversity in conjunction with a simple single‐tap and two‐taps self‐interference cancellation (SIC) topologies. The polarization diversity isolation is achieved through two perpendicular microstrip feeds for proximity feeding to excite orthogonal polarization mode for transmit (Tx) and receive (Rx) modes. The prototype for proposed antenna with integrated single‐tap and two‐taps SIC circuit is tested to record its interport isolation, impedance bandwidths and gains for both Tx and Rx ports. The implemented antenna with single‐tap SIC circuit demonstrates 10 dB return‐loss bandwidth of ≥100 MHz for both Tx and Rx ports. The measured isolation exceeds 40 dB over the 40 MHz bandwidth. Moreover, the recorded peak isolation is better than 74 dB for implemented antenna prototype. Furthermore, the 40 MHz bandwidth with 40 dB isolation can be tuned with the help of SIC‐tap as demonstrated through the experimental results. The measured gain levels are around 4.6 dBi for both Tx and Rx port. The same antenna structure with integrated two‐taps SIC topology features better than 55 dB isolation within 10 dB return loss bandwidth of 100 MHz. The peak isolation exceeds 97 dB and isolation levels are better than 60 and 80 dB over 50 and 20 MHz bandwidths, respectively, for presented antenna with two‐taps SIC configuration. The compact antenna offers comparatively wider impedance and isolation bandwidth with improved SIC levels compared to previous designs.  相似文献

This article presents two novel resonators, that is, frequency selecting coupling structure loaded stepped‐impedance resonator (FSCSLSIR) and π‐section loaded FSCSLSIR. The resonator behaviors and guidelines are given to design FSCSLSIR dual‐band bandpass filter (BPF) and π‐section loaded FSCSLSIR triband BPF. The proposed dual‐ and triband BPF have very compact sizes of 0.13 λgd × 0.06 λgd and 0.115 λgt × 0.074 λgt, respectively. Moreover, good return loss, low insertion loss, and high band‐to‐band isolation can be observed, and the proposed FSCSLSIR dual‐band BPF has an ultrawide stopband from 5.79 to 36 GHz. The experimental results are in good agreement with the simulations. © 2014 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Int J RF and Microwave CAE 25:427–435, 2015.  相似文献

This article presents a miniaturized frequency‐agile bandpass filter (BPF) integrated single pole double throw (SPDT) switch using common LC resonator. The BPF‐integrated on‐sate channel is constituted by the capacitively coupled LC resonators with loaded varactor diodes and reverse‐biased p‐i‐n diodes. The off‐state channel with high suppression is built when the p‐i‐n diodes loaded LC resonators is forward‐biased. As an example, a frequency‐agile BPF‐integrated SPDT switch with constant 3‐dB fractional bandwidth of 18.4% is designed. Its fabricated circuit area including bias circuit but excluding feeding lines is 0.105 λg × 0.079 λg. Measured results show that its 3 dB operating frequency bandwidth covers from 0.499 to 1.077 GHz with in‐band insertion loss varying from 4.15 to 3.15 dB. Off‐state suppression better than 37.8 dB, port‐to‐port isolation better than 51.1 dB, and good return loss can be also observed.  相似文献

A novel band‐stop filter with single‐loop split ring resonators (SRRs) is proposed for spoof surface plasmon polaritons (SPPs) at millimeter wave frequencies, achieving a miniaturized size of 0.052λ0 × 0.278λ0 at its resonant frequency. The SRRs provide both a low‐pass response as the rectangular corrugations used in the conventional SPPs and an additional band‐stop response induced by the resonance of SRRs. To verify this design, a back‐to‐back device with two coplanar waveguides as the input and output feeding was fabricated and characterized, the measured S‐parameters of which agree well with the simulation. The measured stop band is centered at 49 GHz with a ?10‐dB bandwidth of 4.1 GHz and a high Q‐factor of 93, in which the maximum attenuation is 31 dB. The filter has a low insertion loss of less than 2.8 dB in the pass band. Such approaches may find many applications to achieve compact millimeter wave circuits.  相似文献
