为了在实时业务和非实时业务共享无线资源的场景中增加系统吞吐量,该文提出了一种基于实时业务挤占的无线资源分配方法,该方案首先实施统一调度,然后进行实时业务挤占过程。在保证对实时业务服务的情况下,实时业务挤占的无线资源分配方案提高了多用户分集效果,增加了系统的吞吐量。理论和仿真分析表明,与已有的传统的实时业务和非实时业务共享无线资源的调度方案相比,该方案能够提供更高的系统吞吐量和频谱效率。在实际应用中,该方案具有一定的可行性和可操作性。 相似文献

The proliferation of wireless local area networks has opened doors to numerous service opportunities. However, they tend to be limited to delay-tolerant applications. We envisage an environment where a single device is used for all types of communication and roaming freely between different wireless and wired technologies and network operators. To achieve this will require quality of service (QoS) handled appropriately. Within the IP community, QoS has generally been considered end-to-end over the fixed network. Wireless networks and mobile users add a new set of problems, which have only seen highly specialised solutions within the 2G/3G mobile telephone communities. This paper examines these problems and proposes a solution whereby QoS is dealt with by the end terminals through adaptive applications and end-to-end congestion control. This does not require explicit knowledge of the type of network, and does not need expensive whole network upgrades. We believe that this approach can improve the experience of users of current wireless LAN networks, and we are currently verifying and exploring our ideas on a WLAN test bed. 相似文献

Electric vehicles (EVs) can be considered as a revolution in the combustion industry with significant improvement in fuel utilization and decrease in pollution compared to combustion engines. However, by decreasing the size of the battery to reduce the cost, the frequency of charging EVs in a day increases. Therefore, to reduce the downtime required for charging EVs, wireless charging on the move can be an effective solution. In such a situation, paying for wireless charging on the move is an important issue. However, it can endanger the location privacy of users, since the EVs need to charge frequently in a day. In this paper, we first explain different methods of payment and problems with such payment methods in the case of wireless charging on the move. Then, we propose an efficient payment method based on ‘tokens’ for wireless charging on the move, which minimizes the communications between service providers and users during the charging process. The proposed scheme prevents users and service providers from cheating, and it is robust to support different values for the price. Finally, we compare it with other payment methods that have been proposed for plug-in electric vehicles. 相似文献

Modern digital cellular telephones and portable computers have created a new platform for distributed information processing. However, the characteristics of wireless telephone links are different from those of wireline links. With standard TCP/IP protocols, this can lead to severe performance problems; some are related to the control of the wireless link, some to the cooperation of the wireless link and the fixed network. One possible solution is to split the end-to-end communication path into two parts, and to establish a separate control for each part. The Mowgli communication architecture is a sophisticated elaboration of this basic idea covering several data communication layers. One of its main components is the Mowgli data channel service (MDCS), which transparently replaces the standard TCP/IP core protocols over the slow wireless link. We discuss how the Mowgli approach, using the MDCS, alleviates the problems encountered with TCP/IP protocols over slow wireless links. The results of our performance tests indicate the merits of the Mowgli approach. The transfer times and the response times become more stable, transfer times for multiple parallel bidirectional transfers are substantially reduced, and response times in interactive work can be kept at a low and predictable level, even when there is other traffic on the wireless link 相似文献

This paper adopts the assumption that cellular, broadband fixed wireless access (BFWA), wireless local area networks (WLAN), and digital video broadcasting (DVB) systems can be co-operating components of a composite-radio infrastructure. It is believed that through the composite radio concept, operators will be enabled to offer efficient, in terms of cost and QoS, wireless access to broadband IP-based services. The exploitation of this infrastructure calls for the application of computational intelligence (CI) technologies for the development of appropriate, sophisticated service and network resource management functionality. In this context, this paper identifies and addresses the important problem of service configuration and distribution in a composite radio environment (SCD-CRE). The problem's objective is to determine the best way to accommodate a demand volume, with which the composite radio infrastructure is faced. The pro finds the QoS levels that can be offered, and the networks that can support the demand at the selected QoS levels. The paper includes a first approach to the definition, mathematical formulation, and solution of a version of the SCD-CRE problem. Results indicating some of the capabilities of the SCD-CRE are also presented. Further application fields for CI technologies are indicated, in the area of the necessary reconfiguration of the managed, radio and fixed, network segments. 相似文献

The wireless telephone industry has seen dramatic changes. In the United States, for example, cellular demand continues to increase with high annual growth rates. In order to help meet this demand and to promote competition in the duopolistic wireless telephone industry, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) supplemented the existing cellular industry capacity by auctioning spectrum for personal communications service (PCS). This paper analyzed the changing wireless telephone industry in terms of the emergence of new PCS providers. More specifically, this paper focused on the potential economic impacts of PCS providers on the traditional market structure of the wireless telephone industry by using industrial organization (IO) model and the concept of strategic groups. Because there are key strategic dimensions for grouping, the notions of strategic groups and mobility barriers seem to work well in the wireless telephone industry. Also, it is found that market concentration and conglomeration are more prominent than vertical integration in this fast growing, segmented and competitive industry. 相似文献
