Wässrige lacksysteme

The composition o f dispersion paints, the significance of glass transition temperature and particle size on film formation are discussed. Water soluble alkyd resins, poly acrylates (methacrylates), polyepoxides and polyurethanes and routes to crosslink the binders are outlined. In the fiel do felectrophoretic coatings the anodically deposited materials on the basis of derivates of polybutadiene and polyepoxidesters and the cathodically deposited on the basis of polyepoxid amine urethanes are summarized together with the reactions on the electrodes. The deposition of a polyethylacrylate latex by chemiphoresis (autophoresis) in diluted solution of hydrogenfluoride and hydrogenperoxide on steel show an unequal distribution of iron ions over the film thickness. The scanning electron microscope with an energy dispersive unit exhibits a high concentration of iron ions near the interface to the steel but a strong decrease towards the film surface.
