Rare earth (Eu3+)-modified Pb(Mg1/3Nb2/3)O3-PbTiO3 (PMN-PT) polycrystalline ferroelectric ceramics were fabricated by high-temperature solid-state sintering, the phase structure, dielectric and piezoelectric properties were investigated. Eu3+ addition was found to significantly improve dielectric and piezoelectric properties of PMN-PT, where the optimized properties were achieved for the composition of 2.5 mol%Eu: 0.72PMN-0.28PT, with the piezoelectric d33 = 1420 pC/N, dielectric εr = 12 200 and electromechanical k33 = 0.78, respectively. All these results indicate that the Eu3+-doped PMN-PT ceramics are promising candidates for high-performance room-temperature piezoelectric devices.  相似文献

In the field of microwave dielectric ceramics for patch antennas, it has always been a thorny issue to simultaneously satisfy high dielectric constant, low sintering temperature and low dielectric loss. Here, a CCZN (x = 0.04) composite ceramic with excellent microwave dielectric properties was developed. It can be found that an appropriate amount of Co2+ substitution can enhance the compactness, increase the dielectric constant (εr), reduce the dielectric loss (tanδ) and enhance the temperature coefficient (τf). The composite ceramic with excellent dielectric properties (εr = 22.6, Q × f = 37,624 GHz, τf = ?64.9 ppm/°C) shows good sintering compatibility with Ag. Based on this composite ceramic, a high-performance patch antenna was designed for Beidou satellite navigation system (BDS). It presents a small size of 30 × 30*3.8 mm3 and excellent radiation performance (return loss = ?32.9 dB, VSWR = 1.047, impedance bandwidth = 60.6 MHz, radiation efficiency = 94.6% and realized gain = 7.704 dB). This work promotes the application of microwave dielectric ceramics in the field of patch antennas.  相似文献

A second calcination–milling step was introduced in the conventional processing of (K, Na)0.5NbO3 (KNN) ceramics (sintered in air) to further homogenenize the particle size distribution of the pre-sintered powders. The ceramic derived from the powders prepared by the two-step route possesses grains with better uniformity and is more compact. The relative density of the bulk ceramic reached 96.9%. Excellent properties are obtained in as-prepared KNN ceramics with kp=44%, d33=111 pC/N, tanδ=0.85%, ε33T/εo=311, Qm=193, Pr=25.4 μC/cm2, d33=251 pm/V, which are superior to those of the ceramics derived from the powders calcined once as used in the traditional processing. These results indicate that twice-calcination–milling route is shown to be a facile and effective way to simultaneously improve the piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties of KNN ceramics without sintering aids.  相似文献

The emerging smart PVDF-based composites can compensate for the intrinsic property deficiencies in either of their components. The properties of the composite are determined by the properties of the constituents and its fabrication method. In this research, a lead-free piezoelectric ceramic, potassium sodium niobate (KNN), was used as the primary reinforcement, and MWCNTs were added to improve the electrical properties. Solution casting was used to prepare PVDF-KNN-CNT composite films. After phase and structure identification of composites using SEM, XRD, FTIR, and TGA methods, the dielectric, piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties of the products were investigated. The obtained results indicated a strong dependency of dielectric, piezoelectric, and ferroelectric properties of composites on KNN content. Samples with the highest KNN content rendered εr, d33 and g33 values of 156, 28 pC/N, and 20.32 mV m/N, respectively. Introducing a small amount of conductive CNT to primary PVDF-KNN composites can drastically affect the electrical properties by severely interfering in the charge distribution within the sample. While the dielectric constant was enhanced by increasing CNT content, both piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties showed their best behavior at a critical CNT loading. Beyond this limit, a percolation path formed, which is responsible for power consumption. At the optimum CNT amount, d33 and g33 reached 50 pC/N and 31.93 mV m/N, respectively. The presence of conducting CNTs gave rise to the formation of more round polarization curves with higher remnant polarization. The present findings give a prospective understanding of smart piezoelectric polymer-based composites that can be used as sensors and energy harvesters.  相似文献

Using BaO–B2O3–SiO2 (BBS)‐based frit as sintering aid, the K0.49Na0.51NbO3 (KNN) + x wt% BBS (= 1.0, 1.5, 2.0 and 2.5) lead‐free piezoelectric ceramics were successfully fabricated by solid‐state reaction method under low‐sintering temperature of 1000°C. The effect of BBS frit doping amount on the structure and electrical properties of the ceramics was investigated. The KNN ceramics with 1.5 wt% BBS frit showed optimal properties as follows: piezoelectric constant d33 = 108 pC/N, planar electromechanical coupling coefficient kp = 41%, mechanical quality factor Qm = 225, relative dielectric constant εr = 410, dielectric loss tanδ = 0.57% and Curie temperature Tc = 400°C. This ceramic sample should be a good lead‐free candidate for actuators or high temperature sensors application due to its ultra‐low tanδ, relatively high Qm and Tc.  相似文献

Lead-free ferroelectric K0.5Na0.5NbO3 (KNN) films with different thicknesses were prepared by polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP)-modified chemical solution deposition (CSD) method. The KNN films with thickness up to 4.9 μm were obtained by repeating deposition-heating process. All KNN thick films exhibit single perovskite phase and stronger (1 1 0) peak when annealed at 650 °C. The variation of dielectric constant with thickness indicates that there exists a critical thickness for the dielectric constant in the KNN films which should lie in 1.3–2.5 μm. The similar trend is observed for the ferroelectric and piezoelectric properties of KNN films. Both the remnant polarization Pr and the piezoelectric coefficient d33 of KNN thick films increase with the film thickness and become saturated after the critical thickness.  相似文献

A novel Zn1-xCoxMoO4 (ZCMO) (x = 0.03) ceramic with low-dielectric constant, low-loss, and low-sintering temperature for 5G electromagnetic beam splitting is developed by solid-state reaction method. This ceramic exhibits excellent microwave dielectric properties with εr = 8.0, Q × f = 57682 GHz, τf = ? 54.9 ppm/°C at a sintering temperature of 825 °C. An array antenna for electromagnetic beam splitting at 5.4 GHz is designed by using this ceramic for the first time. The highest efficiency and the best electromagnetic beam splitting effect can be jointly controlled by the dielectric constant and dielectric loss of the ceramic. The normalized reflection amplitude of each array unit cell is above 98 %, and the reflection phase covers 360°. The function of electromagnetic beam splitting is verified by the far-field pattern of the electric field. This work helps to promote the development of LTCC and broaden the application scope of microwave dielectric ceramics.  相似文献

This work prepared a novel Sr2CaMoO6 (SCM) ceramic through the conventional solid-state process. The crystal structure, chemical bond characteristics, and microwave dielectric properties of SCM ceramic were investigated for the first time. The X-ray diffraction patterns and Rietveld refinement indicate that SCM ceramic formed an orthorhombic phase with the space group Pmm2 (25) at temperatures above 1300 °C. The lattice vibrational modes of SCM ceramic were obtained through the Fourier transformed infrared spectrum (FTIR). The measured dielectric constant and dielectric loss of SCM ceramic is close to the theoretical values obtained by FTIR. According to the P–V–L theory, the chemical bond characteristics of SCM ceramic were calculated. The high ionicity and lattice energy of the Mo–O bond positively affect the properties of SCM ceramic. The outstanding microwave dielectric properties of εr = 19.37, Q·f = 32,970 GHz (at 5.96 GHz), and τf = ?32.56 ppm/°C were obtained in SCM ceramic sintered at 1450 °C. This work reveals the crystal structure of SCM ceramic, establishes the relationship between the properties and chemical bonds of the ceramic, and lays a foundation for studying the dielectric properties of related ceramic systems.  相似文献

Relaxor ferroelectric PbMg1/3Nb2/3O3-PbTiO3 (PMN-PT) ceramics are high-performance piezoelectric materials that are widely used in many electronic devices. However, it is extremely difficult to manufacture thin piezoelectric components dozens of micrometers in size using commercial coarse-grained PMN-PT ceramics. This limits the application of PMN-PT ceramics to high-frequency ultrasonic devices. In this work, we prepared a dense, fine-grained PMN-PT ceramic at low temperature using a hot-press sintering (HPS) method. The HPS ceramic had small grains with an average size of 1 μm and maintained high performance with a large permittivity (εr = 4500), piezoelectricity (d33 = 650 pC/N), and electrostrain (SE = 0.14% at 20 kV/cm). The large volume fraction of grain boundaries led to stronger relaxor behavior of the fine-grained PMN-PT ceramic than of the normal coarse-grained one. Owing to its small grains and high piezoelectric performance, this fine-grained PMN-PT ceramic meets the strict requirements of manufacturing thin piezoelectric components. Our results demonstrate that PMN-PT ceramics have great potential for developing low-cost, high-frequency ultrasonic devices by replacing expensive piezoelectric single crystals.  相似文献

Sodium bismuth titanate (BNT) nanopowder of molar composition 50/50 (Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3) was prepared by a sol-gel processing method. The structure and microstructure of the precursor gel as well as the ferroelectric, pyroelectric, dielectric and piezoelectric properties of the BNT were studied. BNT crystallized in the rhombohedra perovskites structure Na0.5Bi0.5TiO3 was obtained from the precursor gel by heating at 700 °C for 2 h in air. The BNT ceramic at 1100 °C sintering temperature present high crystallinity, good dielectric properties at 1 kHz (ε′=885, tan δ=0.03, Tc=370 °C), piezoelectric properties (k33=0.39, c33=105 GPa, e33=12.6 C/m2, d33=120 pC/N), high remnant polarization (Pr=47 μC/cm2) and pyroelectric coefficient (p=707 μC/m2 K) and low coercive field (Ec=55 kV/cm). Hence, the BNT prepared by sol-gel method could be used for silicon based memory device application where a low synthesis temperature is a key requirement.  相似文献

In this work, Bi3+ doped Ba0.98-3x/2BixCa0.02Zr0.02Ti0.976Cu0.008O3 [0 ≤ x ≤ 0.03] lead free ceramics, to be employed for structural, dielectric and ferroelectric studies, have been synthesized via conventional solid state reaction method. Rietveld refinement of the X-ray diffraction (XRD) data evidences the existence of a pure perovskite phase with tetragonal symmetry for all ceramics. The Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) reveals that the grain size, which is 16.14 μm for x = 0 reduced to 2.11 μm for x = 0.03. Dielectric studies demonstrate excellent dielectric behavior with high Curie temperature (TC ~159 °C), high dielectric constant (εr ~834, εmax ~ 3146), and a low dielectric loss (tanδ ~ 0.019), for an optimum value of x = 0.02. The analysis of temperature coefficient of the dielectric permittivity indicates the applicability of these materials in multilayer ceramic capacitors. Impedance studies, conducted to understand the underlying physical mechanisms, are found to be in good agreement with the results of structural and dielectric studies. Furthermore, the ferroelectric measurement confirms the ferroelectric nature for all samples with an energy storage efficiency (η) of ~42% for x = 0.02 composition.  相似文献

Ca1.15RE0.85Al0.85Ti0.15O4 (RE = Nd, La, Y) ceramics were prepared by a reaction sintering method. The sintering behavior, phase composition, microstructure and microwave dielectric performances of ceramics were investigated. X-ray diffraction patterns illustrated that both the Ca1.15Nd0.85Al0.85Ti0.15O4(CNAT) and Ca1.15Y0.85Al0.85Ti0.15O4(CYAT) ceramics are single-phase structures, and the Ca1.15La0.85Al0.85Ti0.15O4(CLAT) ceramic contain LaAlO3 and CaO phases. The apparent morphology and elemental distribution of the ceramic samples were analyzed by using scanning electron microscope and energy dispersive spectrometer. When the sintering temperature is 1500 °C, the CNAT and CYAT ceramics have the best microwave dielectric properties with εr = 19.2, Q × f = 74924 GHz, τf = ?1.21 ppm/°C and εr = 17.5, Q × f = 27440 GHz, τf = ?5.79 ppm/°C, respectively. And the best microwave dielectric properties of εr = 17.5, Q × f = 22568 GHz, τf = ?14.69 ppm/°C were obtained for the CLAT ceramic sintered at 1525 °C. The reaction sintering method provides a low-cost, economical and straightforward method for the preparation of the Ca1.15RE0.85Al0.85Ti0.15O4 (RE = Nd, La, Y) ceramics, which has promising potential for application.  相似文献

K0.5Na0.5NbO3 (KNN) can be readily densified using the cold sintering process, but despite observing high relative permittivity, the ferroelectric hysteresis is strongly suppressed along with a major suppression in the all-important piezoelectric properties. In this study, KNN is fabricated using a NaOH+KOH transient flux under a uniaxial pressure of 400 MPa and heating to 300 °C for 2 h to drive densification to 93% theoretical. It is only after a secondary heat treatment that we observe improvements of the ferroelectric hysteresis and piezoelectric properties. From a detailed structural-property-processing study using analytical transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray line broadening and high field dielectric characterization methodologies we conclude that there is an unusual in-situ plastic deformation process that takes place in addition to the densification under the cold sintering process. High densities of dislocations within grains were observed that lead to multiple pinning sites that impact both the intrinsic and extrinsic contributions to the high field dielectric and piezoelectric properties. Annealing significantly reduced the dislocation density in the highly defective crystallites, observed directly from the TEM and from the sharpening of the X-ray diffraction peaks, resulting in piezoelectric and ferroelectric properties that approached those of conventionally sintered KNN.  相似文献

Pure and Co-modified BaZr0.05Ti0.95O3 ceramics were fabricated by the traditional solid state reaction technique. The influence of cobalt and sintering temperature on structure, dielectric, ferroelectric properties and diffuse phase transition of BZT ceramics were investigated systematically. 1300 °C was the optimal sintering temperature for BZT ceramics. The solid solubility limit of Co ions in BZT matrix was determined to be 0.4 mol%. The introduction of a moderate amount of Co ions was believed to benefit the microstructure development and make the grain size more uniform. Compared with undoped counterparts, 0.4 mol% Co-modified ceramics showed equivalent ferroelectric properties with a high remnant polarization (Pr=9.6 μC/cm2) and a low coercive field (Ec=0.21 kV/mm). Besides these, a relative high dielectric coefficient (εr=2030) and a low dielectric loss (tan δ=1.85%) were also obtained on this composition. The degree of diffuse phase transition was enhanced by the addition of Co ions. The related mechanism of the diffused phase transition behavior was discussed.  相似文献

Lead-free ceramics (1 ? x)(K0.48Na0.52)NbO3–(x/5.15)K2.9Li1.95Nb5.15O15.3 (x = 0.3–0.6, KNN–KLN100x) were prepared by conventional sintering technique at a low temperature of 960 °C. The effects of KLN contents on microstructure, dielectric, and piezoelectric properties were investigated. After the addition of KLN, the sintering performance and Curie temperature of the ceramics were markedly improved. The ceramics with x = 0.3 exhibited very good piezoelectric properties: d33 = 138 pC/N, kp = 45.03%, Tc = 495 °C, the dielectric constant at room temperature ?r (RT) = 478 and the maximum dielectric constant ?r (max) = 5067. These results indicated that the KNN–KLN100x lead-free ceramics sintered at low temperatures are promising for high temperature piezoelectric applications.  相似文献

Y2O3 ceramics with good dielectric properties were prepared via co-precipitation reaction and subsequent sintering in a muffle furnace. The effects of Nd doping and sintering temperature on microwave dielectric properties were studied. With the increase in sintering temperature, the density, quality factor (Q×f), and dielectric constant (εr) values of pure Y2O3 ceramics increased to the maximum and then gradually decreased. The Y2O3 ceramics sintered at 1500 °C for 4 h showed optimal dielectric properties: εr=10.76, Q×f=82, 188 GHz, and τf=−54.4 ppm/°C. With the addition of Nd dopant, the Q×f values, εr, and τf of the Nd: Y2O3 ceramics apparently increased, but excessive amount degraded the quality factor. The Y2O3 ceramics with 2 at% Nd2O3 sintered at 1460 °C displayed good microwave dielectric properties: εr=10.4, Q×f=94, 149 GHz and τf=−46.2 ppm/°C.  相似文献

Highly (001) oriented (K,Na)NbO3 (KNN) lead‐free piezoelectric thin films were grown on LaNiO3 (LNO)‐coated silicon by RF magnetron sputtering. The effects of the top electrodes on the electrical properties of KNN thin films were investigated. The dielectric and piezoelectric properties were remarkably improved in LNO/KNN/LNO (εr = 899 at 1 kHz, d33 = 58 pm/V), compared with that in Pt/KNN/LNO (εr = 584 at 1 kHz, d33 = 26 pm/V). An enhanced ferroelectricity was also obtained in LNO/KNN/LNO, with a remnant polarization of 12 μC/cm2 and a maximum polarization of 23 μC/cm2 at the applied field of 200 kV/cm. Besides, the temperature dependence of piezoelectricity of the films was characterized in this study.  相似文献

Microwave dielectric ceramics with simple composition, a low permittivity (εr), high quality factor (Q × f) and temperature stability, specifically in the ultrawide temperature range, are vital for millimetre-wave communication. Hence, in this study, the improvements in sintering behavior and microwave dielectric properties of the SnO2 ceramic with a porous microstructure were investigated. The relative density of the Sn1-xTixO2 ceramic (65.1%) was improved to 98.8%, and the optimal sintering temperature of Sn1-xTixO2 ceramics reduced from 1525 °C to 1325 °C when Sn4+ was substituted with Ti4+. Furthermore, the εr of Sn1-xTixO2 (0 ≤ x ≤ 1.0) ceramics increased gradually with the rise in x, which can be ascribed to the increase in ionic polarisability and rattling effects of (Sn1-xTix)4+. The intrinsic dielectric loss was mainly controlled by rc (Sn/Ti–O), and the negative τf of the SnO2 ceramic was optimised to near zero (x = 0.1) by the Ti4+ substitution for Sn4+. This study also explored the ideal microwave dielectric properties (εr = 13.7, Q × f = 40,700 GHz at 9.9 GHz, and τf = ?7.2 ppm/°C) of the Sn0.9Ti0.1O2 ceramic. Its optimal sintering temperature was decreased to 950 °C when the sintering aids (ZnO–B2O3 glass and LiF) were introduced. The Sn0.9Ti0.1O2-5 wt% LiF ceramic also exhibited excellent microwave dielectric properties (εr = 12.8, Q × f = 23,000 GHz at 10.5 GHz, and τf = ?17.1 ppm/°C). At the ultrawide temperature range (?150 °C to +125 °C), the τε of the Sn0.9Ti0.1O2-5 wt% LiF ceramic was +13.3 ppm/°C, indicating excellent temperature stability. The good chemical compatibility of the Sn0.9Ti0.1O2-5 wt% LiF ceramic and the Ag electrode demonstrates their potential application for millimetre-wave communication.  相似文献

The effect of Ba0.7Ca0.3TiO3 (BCT) substitution on the structural, dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties of mechano‐chemically synthesized lead‐free (1?x)Ba0.9Sr0.1TiO3‐(x)Ba0.7Ca0.3TiO3 (x=0.0, 0.10, 0.20, 0.35, and 0.50) ceramics have been investigated. XRD patterns confirms the formation of tetragonal phase with P4mm space group. The results indicate a strong influence of BCT substitution on the structural and electrical properties of Ba0.9Sr0.1TiO3 (BST) ceramic. BST–BCT ceramic for x=0.35 have shown high dielectric constant εm~21 800, high remnant polarization Pr~10.16 μC/cm2, large piezoelectric charge constant D33~293 pC/N, large piezoelectric voltage constant g33~5.80 mV·m/N, and highest dielectric breakdown strength Ebd~224 kV/cm among the five synthesized samples. The correlation between structural, dielectric, ferroelectric, and piezoelectric properties of the BST ceramic with increasing BCT content have been systematically described on the basis of domain wall motion and grain size effect.  相似文献
