<正>The objective of the present paper is to study the sweep effect on the blade design performance of a transonic compressor rotor.The baseline to be modified and swept is a designed well efficient transonic single rotor compressor. The first part of the present study is concerning the sweep effect with straight leading edge.In this case fixing the hub section the swept blade is formed by tilting the leading edge with whole blade forwards and backwards axially.The second part is to use an optimization strategy with simple gradient-based optimum-searching method and multi-section blade parameterization technique to search and generate an optimal swept rotor with curved arbitrary leading edge.Its adiabatic efficiency is a little bit greater than that of the reference un-swept rotor.  相似文献

实验验证了三维粘性流场求解程序,然后采用基于梯度法的数值优化程序对跨音压气机动叶积叠线进行优化设计,得到了弯掠结合的三维叶片,并对其进行了数值模拟及详细的流场分析.结果表明采用弯掠的三维动叶可以有效的改变叶片排内三维激波结构,降低尾迹损失,显著提高动叶的整体绝热效率,并使动叶具有更加良好的变工况性能.  相似文献

A design procedure for improving the efficiency of a transonic compressor blading was proposed based on a rapid generation method for three-dimensional blade configuration and computational meshes, a three-dimensional Navier-Stokes solver and an optimization approach. The objective of the present paper is to design a transonic compressor blading optimized only by selection of the locations of maximum camber and maximum thickness for the airfoils at different span heights and to study how do these two design parameters affect the blade performance. The blading configuration and the computational meshes can be obtained very rapidly for any given combination of maximum camber and maximum thickness. The computational grid system generated is used for the Navier-Stokes solution to predict adiabatic efficiency, total pressure ratio and flow rate. As a main result of the optimization, adiabatic efficiency was successfully improved.  相似文献

It is well known that increasing the rotational velocity is an effective way to increase the total pressure ratio. With increasing flow velocity especially under the condition of transonic flow in the supersonic region, where exist strong shock waves, the shock wave loss becomes main and important. Simultaneously, there occurs boundary layer separation due to the shock wave / boundary layer interaction. In the present paper the transonic compressor blades were studied and analyzed to find a proper and simple way to reduce the shock wave loss by optimizing the suction surface configuration or controlling the gradient of isentropic Mach number on the suction surface. A Navier-Stokes solver combined with a modified design algorithm was developed and used. The NASA single rotor for transonic flow compressor was served as a numerical example to show the effectiveness of this method. Two cases for both original and modified rotors were analyzed and compared.  相似文献

Centrifugal compressors are one of the most important auxiliary components in polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell vehicles, which tend to operate at a narrow area with low specific speed. Here, the optimal design goals of centrifugal compressors are investigated on the basis of a lumped model for fuel cell systems. A three-dimensional multi-objective and multi-point aerodynamic optimization and data mining method for centrifugal compressors named ODM is presented via integrating a multi-island genetic algorithm, Reynolds-Average Navier-Stokes solver technique and self-organization map based data mining technique. Data mining indicates that compressor geometry would move to a small inlet diameter ratio and a narrow region of the outlet width ratio. Based on the optimization results, a centrifugal compressor for 100 kW fuel cell stack is manufactured. The experimental results show that the improvement of isentropic efficiency near low mass flow has been achieved, which indicates that the proposed ODM is effective in the performance improvement of centrifugal compressors for fuel cell vehicles.  相似文献

A parametric method for the axial compressor 2D blade profiles is proposed in which the blade geometries are defined with the parameters commonly used for blade definition, which ensures that the geometric significance is clear and an unreasonable blade profile is not generated. Several illustrations are presented to show the fitting precision of the method. A novel response surface model is proposed which regards the objective distribution function in the vicinity of a sample as normal school, and then generates the response surface function in the whole design space by a linear combination of distribution functions of all the samples. An optimization approach to centrifugal compressor blade design, incorporating uniform design method (UDM), computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis technique, regression analysis method and genetic algorithms (GA), is presented. UDM is employed to generate the geometric information of trial samples whose performance is evaluated by CFD technique. Then, function approximation of sample information is performed by regression analysis method. Finally, global optimization of the approximative function is obtained by genetic algorithms. Taking maximum isentropic efficiency as objective function, this optimization approach has been applied to the optimum design of a certain centrifugal compressor blades. Several passive and active techniques were studied and developed by compressor designers with the aim of improving the aerodynamic behavior of compressor blades by reducing, or even eliminating, flow separation. Fluidic-based methods, in particular, have been investigated for a long time, including both steady and unsteady suction, blowing and oscillating jets. Recently, synthetic jets (zero mass flux) have been proposed as a promising solution to reduce low-momentum fluid regions inside turbomachines. Synthetic jets, with the characteristics of zero net mass flux and non-zero momentum flux, do not require a complex system of pumps and pipes. They could be very efficient because at the suction part of the cycle the low-momentum fluid is sucked into the device, whereas in the blowing part a high-momentum jet accelerates it. To the authors’ knowledge, the use of synthetic jets has never been experimented in transonic compressor rotors, where this technique could be helpful (i) to reduce the thickness and instability of blade suction side boundary layer after the interaction with the shock, and (ii) to delay the arising of the low-momentum region which can take place from the shock-tip clearance vortex interaction at low flow operating conditions, a flow feature which is considered harmful to rotor stability. Therefore, synthetic jets could be helpful to improve both efficiency and stall margin in transonic compressor rotors. In this paper, an accurate and validated CFD model is used to simulate the aerodynamic behavior of a transonic compressor rotor with and without synthetic jets. Four technical solutions were evaluated, different for jet position and velocity, and one was investigated in detail.  相似文献

This paper describes the study on aerodynamics design optimization of turbomachinery blading developed by the authors at the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences, during the recent few years. The present paper describes the aspects mainly on how to use a rapid approach of profiling a 3D blading and of grid generation for computation, a fast and accurate viscous computation method and an appropriate optimization methodology including a blade parameterization algorithm to optimize turbomachinery blading aerodynamically. Any blade configuration can be expressed by three curves, they are the camber lines, the thickness distributions and the radial stacking line, and then the blade geometry can be easily parameterized by a number of parameters with three polynomials. A gradient-based parameterization analytical method and a response surface method were applied herein for blade optimization. It was found that the optimization process provides reliable design for turbomachinery with reasonable computing time.  相似文献

The main driver for small scale turbomachinery in domestic heat pumps is the potential for reaching higher efficiencies than volumetric compressors currently used and the potential for making the compressor oil-free, bearing a considerable advantage in the design of advanced multi-stage heat pump cycles. An appropriate turbocompressor for driving domestic heat pumps with a high temperature lift requires the ability to operate on a wide range of pressure ratios and mass flows, confronting the designer with the necessity of a compromise between range and efficiency. The present publication shows a possible way to deal with that difficulty, by coupling an appropriate modeling tool to a multi-objective optimizer. The optimizer manages to fit the compressor design into the possible specifications field while keeping the high efficiency on a wide operational range. The 1D-tool used for the compressor stage modeling has been validated by experimentally testing an initial impeller design. The excellent experimental results, the agreement with the model and the linking of the model to a multi-objective optimizer will allow to design radial compressor stages managing to fit the wide operational range of domestic heat pumps while keeping the high efficiency level.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel swing vane rotary compressor (SVC) was introduced, which had significant advantages—simple mechanism, reduced frictional loss, reliable operation, and a comparatively higher compression ratio. Based on the swing vane compressor geometry model, thermodynamic model and kinetic model, the mathematical model of optimum design was established, and further theoretical and experimental studies were conducted. The length of the cylinder, radius of the rotor and cylinder were defined as design variables and the reciprocal of EER as objective function. The complex optimization method was adopted to study the structure of the swing vane compressor. The theoretical model could provide an effective method for predicting compressor performance, which would also contribute to structural optimization of the SVC. The study shows that the friction loss of the compressor are greatly reduced by optimized design in a given initial value, and the EER increased by 8.55%.  相似文献

An experimental investigation on the unsteady tip flow field of a transonic compressor rotor has been performed.The casing-mounted high frequency response pressure transducers were arranged along both the blade chord and the blade pitch.The chord-wise ones were used to indicate both the ensemble averaged and time varying flow structure of the tip region of the rotor at different operating points under 95% design speed and 60% design speed.The pitch-wise circumferential transducers were mainly used to analyze the unsteadiness frequency of the tip leakage flow in the rotor frame at the near stall condition.The contours of casing wall pressure show that there were two clear low pressure regions in blade passages,one along the chord direction,caused by the leakage flow and the other along the tangential direction,maybe caused by the forward swept leading edge.Both low pressure regions were originated from the leading edge and formed a scissor-like flow pattern.At 95% design speed condition,the shock wave interacted with the low pressure region and made the flow field unsteady.With the mass flow reduced,the two low pressure regions gradually contracted to the leading edge and then a spike disturbance emerged.  相似文献

The impact on the compressor performance is important for designing the inlet pipe of the centrifugal compressor of a vehicle turbocharger with different inlet pipes. First, an experiment was performed to determine the compressor performance from three cases: a straight inlet pipe, a long bent inlet pipe and a short bent inlet pipe. Next, dynamic sensors were installed in key positions to collect the sign of the unsteady pressure of the centrifugal compressor. Combined with the results of numerical simulations, the total pressure distortion in the pipes, the pressure distributions on the blades and the pressure variability in the diffuser are studied in detail. The results can be summarized as follows: a bent pipe results in an inlet distortion to the compressor, which leads to performance degradation, and the effect is more apparent as the mass flow rate increases. The distortion induced by the bent inlet is not only influenced by the distance between the outlet of the bent section and the leading edge of the impeller but also by the impeller rotation. The flow fields in the centrifugal impeller and the diffuser are influenced by a coupling effect produced by the upstream inlet distortion and the downstream blocking effect from the volute tongue. If the inlet geometry is changed, the distributions and the fluctuation intensities of the static pressure on the main blade surface of the centrifugal impeller and in the diffuser are changed accordingly.  相似文献

Extensive numerical investigations of the performance and flow structure in an unshrouded tandem-bladed centrifugal compressor are presented in comparison to a conventional compressor. Stage characteristics are explored for various tip clearance levels, axial spacings and circumferential clockings. Conventional impeller was modified to tandem-bladed design with no modifications in backsweep angle, meridional gas passage and camber distributions in order to have a true comparison with conventional design. Performance degradation is observed for both the conventional and tandem designs with increase in tip clearance. Linear-equation models for correlating stage characteristics with tip clearance are proposed. Comparing two designs, it is clearly evident that the conventional design shows better performance at moderate flow rates. However; near choke flow, tandem design gives better results primarily because of the increase in throat area. Surge point flow rate also seems to drop for tandem compressor resulting in increased range of operation.  相似文献

通过对一单级跨音速轴流压气机的流场进行数值模拟,研究了动叶根部倒角以及顶部间隙对流场气动性能的影响.结果表明:动叶叶顶间隙会造成顶部区域的通流阻塞并加重顶部分离损失,根部倒角会减小根部的气流折转角,降低做功能力,而且扩大根部分离区,减小根部流量,增大根部分离损失,因此为了提高数值模拟的准确性应考虑动叶叶顶间隙和根部倒角.  相似文献
