In this paper, an active distributed (also referred to as semi-decentralised) fault recovery control scheme is proposed that employs inaccurate and unreliable fault information into a model-predictive-control-based design. The objective is to compensate for the identified actuator faults that are subject to uncertainties and detection time delays, in the attitude control subsystems of formation flying satellites. The proposed distributed fault recovery scheme is developed through a two-level hierarchical framework. In the first level, or the agent level, the fault is recovered locally to maintain as much as possible the design specifications, feasibility, and tracking performance of all the agents. In the second level, or the formation level, the recovery is carried out by enhancing the entire team performance. The fault recovery performance of our proposed distributed (semi-decentralised) scheme is compared with two other alternative schemes, namely the centralised and the decentralised fault recovery schemes. It is shown that the distributed (semi-decentralised) fault recovery scheme satisfies the recovery design specifications and also imposes lower fault compensation control effort cost and communication bandwidth requirements as compared to the centralised scheme. Our proposed distributed (semi-decentralised) scheme also outperforms the achievable performance capabilities of the decentralised scheme. Simulation results corresponding to a network of four precision formation flight satellites are also provided to demonstrate and illustrate the advantages of our proposed distributed (semi-decentralised) fault recovery strategy.  相似文献

In this paper, the robust fault detection filter design problem for uncertain linear time-invariant (LTI) systems with both unknown inputs and modelling errors is studied. The basic idea of our study is to use an optimal residual generator (assuming no modelling errors) as the reference residual model of the robust fault detection filter design for uncertain LTI systems with modelling errors and, based on it, to formulate the robust fault detection filter design as an H model-matching problem. By using some recent results of H optimization, a solution of the optimization problem is then presented via a linear matrix inequality (LMI) formulation. The main results include the development of an optimal reference residual model, the formulation of robust fault detection filter design problem, the derivation of a sufficient condition for the existence of a robust fault detection filter and a construction of it based on the LMI solution parameters, the determination of adaptive threshold for fault detection. An illustrative design example is employed to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach.  相似文献

A novel decentralised indirect adaptive output feedback fuzzy controller with a compensation controller and an H tracking controller is presented for a class of uncertain large-scale nonlinear systems in this article. The compensator adaptively compensates for interconnections between subsystems as well as mismatched errors, while the H controller suppresses the effect of external disturbances. Based upon the combination of fuzzy inference systems, a state observer, H tracking technique and the strictly positive real condition, the proposed overall observer-based decentralised algorithm guarantees not only asymptotical tracking of reference trajectories but also an arbitrary small attenuation level of the unmodelled error dynamics including the disturbances on the tracking control. Simulation results substantiate the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.  相似文献

In this article, robust fault detection (RFD) is investigated for networked control systems with delay distribution characterisation. By utilising an observer-based fault detection filter as a residual generator, the RFD of networked control systems with non-uniformly distributed network‐induced time-varying delay is formulated as an H model-matching problem. Delay-interval-dependent and delay-interval-occurrence-rate-dependent sufficient conditions are obtained by employing the Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional approach. Especially, the robust fault detection filters guarantee strong robustness from residual signal to disturbance as well as high sensitivity to faults. A numerical example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed design techniques.  相似文献

In this paper, a novel approach is proposed to design a robust fault detection observer for uncertain linear time delay systems. The system is composed of both norm‐bounded uncertainties and exogenous signals (noise, disturbance, and fault) which are considered to be unknown. The main contribution of this paper is to present unknown input observer (UIO)‐based fault detection system which shows the maximum sensitivity to fault signals and the minimum sensitivity to other signals. Since the system contains uncertainty terms, an H model‐matching approach is used in design procedure. The reference residual signal generator system is designed so that the fault signal has maximum sensitivity while the exogenous signals have minimum sensitivity on the residual signal. Then, the fault detection system is designed by minimizing the estimation error between the reference residual signal and the UIO residual signal in the sense of H norm. A sufficient condition for the existence of such a filter is exploited in terms of certain linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Application of the proposed method in a numerical example and an engineering process are simulated to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm. Simulation results show the validity of the proposed approach to detect the occurrence of faults in the presence of modeling errors, disturbances, and noise.  相似文献

This paper deals with simultaneous fault estimation and control for a class of nonlinear systems with parameter uncertainty, which is described by Takagi–Sugeno (T–S) fuzzy model with parameter uncertainties and unknown disturbance. In this paper, a fuzzy reference model is used to generate error dynamic for tracking control. By considering actuator fault as an auxiliary state vector, we construct an augmented error system and propose a fault estimator/controller to achieve simultaneous fault estimation and fault-tolerant tracking control. H approach is used in the design of estimator/controller to attenuate the effect of the unknown disturbance and parameter uncertainties. The design conditions are formulated into a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), which can be efficiently solved. Finally, a pitch-axis nonlinear missile model is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

The problem of simultaneous fault detection, isolation and tracking (SFDIT) control design for linear systems subject to both bounded energy and bounded peak disturbances is considered in this work. A dynamic observer is proposed and implemented by using the H/H?/L1 formulation of the SFDIT problem. A single dynamic observer module is designed that generates the residuals as well as the control signals. The objective of the SFDIT module is to ensure that simultaneously the effects of disturbances and control signals on the residual signals are minimised (in order to accomplish the fault detection goal) subject to the constraint that the transfer matrix from the faults to the residuals is equal to a pre-assigned diagonal transfer matrix (in order to accomplish the fault isolation goal), while the effects of disturbances, reference inputs and faults on the specified control outputs are minimised (in order to accomplish the fault-tolerant and tracking control goals). A set of linear matrix inequality (LMI) feasibility conditions are derived to ensure solvability of the problem. In order to illustrate and demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed design methodology, the developed and proposed schemes are applied to an autonomous unmanned underwater vehicle (AUV).  相似文献

The goal of this paper is to describe a novel fault tolerant tracking control (FTTC) strategy based on robust fault estimation and compensation of simultaneous actuator and sensor faults. Within the framework of fault tolerant control (FTC) the challenge is to develop an FTTC design strategy for nonlinear systems to tolerate simultaneous actuator and sensor faults that have bounded first time derivatives. The main contribution of this paper is the proposal of a new architecture based on a combination of actuator and sensor Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) proportional state estimators augmented with proportional and integral feedback (PPI) fault estimators together with a T-S dynamic output feedback control (TSDOFC) capable of time-varying reference tracking. Within this architecture the design freedom for each of the T-S estimators and the control system are available separately with an important consequence on robust L 2 norm fault estimation and robust L 2 norm closed-loop tracking performance. The FTTC strategy is illustrated using a nonlinear inverted pendulum example with time-varying tracking of a moving linear position reference.  相似文献

This paper addresses the problem of designing mixed H2/H tracking control for a large class of uncertain robotic systems. Nonlinear H control theory, H2 control theory and intelligent adaptive control algorithm are combined to construct a hybrid adaptive/robust H2/H tracking control scheme. One adaptive neural network system is constructed to approximate the behaviour of uncertain robot dynamics, and the other adaptive control algorithm is designed to estimate the behaviour of the modelled disturbance. Moreover, a robust H control algorithm is designed to attenuate the effects of the unmodelled disturbance. Only a set of algebraic matrix Riccati-like equations is required to implement the proposed mixed H2/H tracking controller, and so an explicit and closed-form solution is obtained. Consequently, the mixed H2/H adaptive/robust tracking controller developed here can be analytically computed and easily implemented. Finally, simulations are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control algorithm.  相似文献

In this paper, a recurrent neural network (RNN) control scheme is proposed for a biped robot trajectory tracking system. An adaptive online training algorithm is optimized to improve the transient response of the network via so-called conic sector theorem. Furthermore, L 2-stability of weight estimation error of RNN is guaranteed such that the robustness of the controller is ensured in the presence of uncertainties. In consideration of practical applications, the algorithm is developed in the discrete-time domain. Simulations for a seven-link robot model are presented to justify the advantage of the proposed approach. We give comparisons between the standard PD control and the proposed RNN compensation method.  相似文献

In this paper, the event-triggered H output tracking problem is investigated for networked control systems. In order to reduce the output tracking error as well as to improve network resource utilization, we propose an idea of dynamic compensation controller with the discrete-time event-triggered mechanism, that is, the integral term of tracking error and the state of the reference system are introduced to form states of the augmented system. We first examine the dynamic compensation idea by the H output tracking control problem for linear time-invariant (LTI) systems. Then, we model the closed-loop event-triggered networked control system as a time-delay augmented linear system. By constructing a Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional with the delay fractioning technique, the stability conditions with lower conservatism are derived in the form of the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Furthermore, a method is proposed to design the H dynamic compensation controllers and the discrete-time event-triggered mechanisms. Finally, the satellite tracking control problem is used as an example to show that the dynamical compensation idea is effective in reducing the tracking error and that the proposed method in this paper can achieve better performance than that in the existing literature.

This article is concerned with the problem of H predictive control of networked control system with random network delay. A new control scheme termed networked predictive control is proposed. This scheme mainly consists of the control prediction generator and network delay compensator. While designing the predictor, the control input to the actuator may be different due to networked induced time-delay and data dropout, and two cases are considered depending on the way that the observer obtains the plant control input u t . The necessary and sufficient conditions are given for the closed-loop networked predictive control system to be stochastically stable for different u t and random network delays in controller to actuator channel (CAC) and sensor to controller channel (SCC). A simulation study shows the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.  相似文献

This paper is concerned with the design of the fault detection systems, into which a residual generation, evaluation and threshold are integrated, for linear discrete time-varying processes over a finite horizon. In the proposed design scheme, the residual generation is realised in the context of H fault estimation with a prescribed attenuation level. This attenuation level is minimised by using the Krein-space linear estimation theory and, subsequently, an H fault estimator with the minimum attenuation level is designed in terms of the solution to a set of Riccati-like recursions. For the residual evaluation and decision making purpose, the false alarm rate and fault detection rate indicators are introduced in the norm-based framework, which is integrated into the decision making procedure. For the online computations of the false alarm rate and fault detection rate indicators, further estimates delivered by the H fault estimator are applied without additional (online) computations. By means of checking the change in the false alarm rate and fault detection rate indicators, a decision is then made. In this way, the fault detection performance can be significantly improved. Finally, one application example is exploited to demonstrate the application of the proposed integrated fault detection and performance evaluation schemes.  相似文献

A robust control method of a two-link flexible manipulator with neural networks based quasi-static distortion compensation is proposed and experimentally investigated. The dynamics equation of the flexible manipulator is divided into a slow subsystem and a fast subsystem based on the assumed mode method and singular perturbation theory. A decomposition based robust controller is proposed with respect to the slow subsystem, and H control is applied to the fast subsystem. The overall closed-loop control is determined by the composite algorithm that combines the two control laws. Furthermore, a neural network compensation scheme is also integrated into the control system to compensate for quasi-static deflection. The proposed control method has been implemented on a two-link flexible manipulator for precise end-tip tracking control. Experimental results are presented in this paper along with concluding remarks.  相似文献

This paper is focused on reliable controller design for a composite‐driven scheme of networked control systems via Takagi‐Sugeno fuzzy model with probabilistic actuator fault under time‐varying delay. The proposed scheme is distinguished from the other schemes as mentioned in this paper. Aims of this article are to solve the control problem by considering the H, dissipative, and L2?L constraints in a unified way. Firstly, to improve the efficient utilization of bandwidth, the adaptive composite‐driven scheme is introduced. In such a scenario, the channel transmission mechanism can be adjusted between adaptive event‐triggered generator scheme and time‐driven scheme. In this study, the threshold is dependent on a new adaptive law, which can be obtained online rather than a predefined constant. With a constant threshold, it is difficult to get the variation of the system. Secondly, a novel fuzzy Lyapunov‐Krasovskii functional is constructed to design the fuzzy controller, and delay‐dependent conditions for stability and performance analysis of the control system are obtained. Then, LMI‐based conditions for the existence of the desired fuzzy controller are presented. Finally, an inverted pendulum that is controlled through the channel is provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.  相似文献

In this study, a robust nonlinear Lgain tracking control design for uncertain robotic systems is proposed under persistent bounded disturbances. The design objective is that the peak of the tracking error in time domain must be as small as possible under persistent bounded disturbances. Since the nonlinear Lgain optimal tracking control cannot be solved directly, the nonlinear Lgain optimal tracking problem is transformed into a nonlinear Lgain tracking problem by given a prescribed disturbance attenuation level for the Lgain tracking performance. To guarantee that the Lgain tracking performance can be achieved for the uncertain robotic systems, a sliding‐mode scheme is introduced to eliminate the effect of the parameter uncertainties. By virtue of the skew‐symmetric property of the robotic systems, sufficient conditions are developed for solving the robust Lgain tracking control problems in terms of an algebraic equation instead of a differential equation. The proposed method is simple and the algebraic equation can be solved analytically. Therefore, the proposed robust Lgain tracking control scheme is suitable for practical control design of uncertain robotic systems. This paper proposes a novel approach to detection and isolation of faulty sensors in multivariate dynamic systems. After formulating the problem of sensor fault detection and isolation in a dynamic system represented by a state space model, we develop the optimal design of a primary residual vector for fault detection and a set of structured residual vectors for fault isolation using an extended observability matrix and a lower triangular block Toeplitz matrix of the system. This work is, therefore, a vector extension to the earlier scalar-based approach to fault detection and isolation. Besides proposing a new algorithm for consistent identification of the Toeplitz matrix from noisy input and output observations without identifying the state space matrices {A, B, C, D} of the system, the main contributions of this newly proposed fault detection and isolation scheme are: (1) a set of structured residual vectors is employed for fault isolation; (2) after determination of the maximum number of multiple sensors that are most likely to fail simultaneously, a unified scheme for isolation of single and multiple faulty sensors is proposed; and (3) the optimality of the primary residual vector and the structured residual vectors is proven. We prove the advantage of our newly proposed vector-based scheme over the existing scalar element-based approach for fault isolation and illustrate its practicality by simulated and experimental evaluation on a multivariate pilot scale, computer interfaced system.  相似文献

This article studies the problem of designing adaptive fault-tolerant H tracking controllers for a class of aircraft flight systems against general actuator faults and bounded perturbations. A robust adaptive state-feedback controller is constructed by a stabilising controller gain and an adaptive control gain function. Using mode-dependent Lyapunov functions, linear matrix inequality-based conditions are developed to find the controller gain such that disturbance attenuation performance is optimised. Adaptive control schemes are proposed to estimate the unknown controller parameters on-line for unparametrisable stuck faults and perturbation compensations. Based on Lyapunov stability theory, it is shown that the resulting closed-loop systems can guarantee asymptotic tracking with H performances in the presence of faults on actuators and perturbations. An application to a decoupled linearised dynamic aircraft system and its simulation results are given.  相似文献
