Zyklisch viskoelastisch‐viskoplastischer Stoffansatz nichtbindiger Böden und Schotter

Cyclic viscoelastic‐viscoplastic constitutiv approach for granular soils and ballast. In modern track building, in particular railway tracks, grain stability and long‐term behaviour of non‐cohesive soils and ballast have gained importance. Especially the capacity of conventional ballasted tracks are of major interest. The developed cyclic viscoelastic‐viscoplastic constitutive approach presented in the actual work describes the long term plastic and elastic material behaviour. Major dependencies are defined by loading conditions and states of stress. With a numerical model implemented, the modelling of the plastic deformation behaviour of complex three dimensional structures under cyclic loading is made possible too.     

Dynamische Instandsetzung und Geläuteerweiterung der Ev. Stadtkirche “St. Dyonisius” in Böblingen

Dynamic restoration and extension of the ringing devices of the evangelic citychurch “St. Dyonisius” in Böblingen. Since the reconstruction of the evangelic citychurch of Böblingen which was destroyed in worldwar 2, there was some room in the bellfry for an additional bell. After having attempted the reasons for the big amplitudes of the belltower in case of bell ringing, the wish of the community could be satisfied to place a 5^th bell into the bellfry. With the aid of a measurement of the tower amplitudes, the problem could be localized and a restoration plan can be developed. By a structural alteration of the mass and stiffness ratio in the wooden area of the bell tower and by changing the direction of ringing, the amplitudes of the tower in case of full ringing could be reduced up to 85% in spite of the installation of a additional bell.
