In this paper we propose a speed‐up method for need‐based collateralized debt obligation (CDO) that meets the investor needs of the attributes of the CDO. We note the fact that the computing time to derive the best portfolio is proportional to the number of generated contract conditions that constitute the portfolio. Our method reduces the number of portfolios that can never be the best portfolios by skipping the generation of redundant contract conditions of Super Senior (SS) debt and Equity debt, which is the main cause for the increase of the generated contract conditions. A comparative experiment indicates that the proposed method makes it possible to double the types of tranches or to raise the calculation accuracy nearly 6‐fold, keeping the urgency of the calculation. A simple and fast ring management token (RMT) wavelength reservation method for dynamic traffic in multi-ring wavelength-routed networks is proposed. The RMT is an agent that can control and manage the used wavelength in the network efficiently. A permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) with nonsinusoidal electromotive force (EMF) generates torque ripple even if the sinusoidal PWM inverter drives the PMSM. A new modified trapezoidal modulating signal for PWM inverter suitable for PMSM drive with nonsinusoidal EMF is proposed in this paper. A new modulating signal for the PMSM drive is determined by the condition of reducing torque ripple of the motor with various trapezoidal EMF. When the PWM inverter using modified trapezoidal modulating signal drives the PMSM having a nonsinusoidal EMF, the torque ripple of the motor can be reduced, the DC link voltage utilization is improved, and reduction of switching loss can be obtained. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. Several researchers have reported on regression tree analysis for semiconductor yield. However, the scope of these analyses is restricted by the difficulty involved in applying regression tree analysis to a small number of samples with many attributes. It is often observed that splitting attributes in the root node do not indicate the hypothesized causes of a failure. We propose a method for verifying the hypothesized causes of a failure, which reduces the number of verification hypotheses. This method involves selecting sets of analysis data with the same cause of failure, extracting the hypothesis by applying regression tree analysis separately to each set of analysis data, and merging and sorting the attributes according to the t value. The results of an experiment conducted in a real environment show that the proposed method helps in widening the scope of applicability of regression tree analysis for semiconductor yield. © 2013 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The global exponential stability for uncertain delayed bidirectional associative memory neural networks (DBAMNN) with multiple time‐varying delays is considered in this paper. Delay‐dependent criteria are proposed to guarantee the robust stability of DBAMNN via linear matrix inequality approach. Two classes of system uncertainties are investigated in this paper. Some numerical examples are given to illustrate the effectiveness of our results. From the numerical simulations, significant improvement over the recent results can be observed. In this paper, we propose a new idle time shortening method for job‐shop scheduling problems (JSPs). We insert our method into a genetic algorithm (GA). The purpose of JSP is to find a schedule with the minimum makespan. We consider that it is effective to reduce idle time of a machine in order to improve the makespan. The left shift is well‐known among existing algorithms for shortening idle time. The left shift cannot arrange the work to idle time. For that reason, some idle times are not shortened by left shift. We propose two kinds of algorithms which shorten such idle time. Next, we combine these algorithms and the reversal of a schedule. Solving regularized least squares with qualitatively controlled adaptive cross‐approximated matrices
The adaptive cross‐approximation (ACA) technique is applied to accelerating an inverse‐problem solver that estimates charge distribution on a dielectric spacer. The ACA generates an approximated system‐matrix that enables us to carry out high‐speed inverse calculation. We designed an approximation procedure based on ACA with some additional concepts, that is, (a) partitioning of matrix based on algebraic information, (b) approximation quality control based on matrix norms, and so on. The tested solver (LSQR for regularized least squares) with ACA demonstrates about 10 times faster performance than that without ACA. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. The idea of greenhouse‐gas credit borrowing in global or national context faces severe problems such as international and intergenerational equity issues. Though the merit of cost reduction is obvious, the possibility is small for such a scheme to be massively allowed in future international negotiations. Still, there is a good chance for each specific player to use the idea of time flexibility. Through analytic and numerical model analysis, this paper demonstrates the merits of time flexibility on a sector base. First, the derived analytic solution for time paths of marginal mitigation costs gives an insight to the relation between timing and costs of mitigation action. Second, the numerical model analysis for the Japanese electricity supply sector shows that time flexibility can drastically reduce costs for mitigation in the sector. Time flexibility is important specifically to the Japanese electricity supply sector because (1) the sector is capital intensive and has long capital turnover time and (2) available mitigation option is limited for the near future. A sector like the Japanese utility sector needs some kind of mechanism to virtually realize the merits of using time flexibility. For electromagnetic compatibility, broadband antennas are important for measurements of fast pulse transient electromagnetic phenomena and broadband characteristics due to noise and high‐frequency interference. We analyzed the characteristics of a semicircle type bow‐tie antenna with various slots using the FDTD method. It was shown from the simulation results that the shape and position of the slot influenced greatly the broadband characteristics of the antenna. We confirmed that a semicircle type bow‐tie antenna with a triangle slot was effective for a broadband antenna. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. This paper focuses on selection of wind turbine generation systems that include generators, converters, and gears. We study three systems: a permanent magnet generator (PMG) system, a doubly‐fed generator (DFG) system, and a synchronous generator (SYG) system in terms of the system efficiencies and running costs. The system efficiencies and running costs are calculated by considering the relationship between wind power and wind conditions. A coordinated optimal (CDO) controller is designed to implement multiple Thyristor Controlled Series Compensation (TCSC) devices in a transmission network of interconnected power systems. The proposed controller is utilized to damp inter-area oscillations and to enhance power system damping during large disturbances. 相对于传统电力市场,微电网准入门槛低、用户个体趋利性强、分布式电能设备产能不稳定等问题可能使得微电网交易陷入信任危机。为此,文中提出了适用于微电网电能交易区块链的信用共识机制。首先,分析常用的共识机制及其在微电网应用场景中的缺陷。同时,设计了微电网电能交易区块链账户节点属性,改进了基于区块链的微电网电能交易流程。然后,建立微电网节点信用值评定机制,完成了节点信用值的公开、公平评定。最后,提出了基于信用证明的共识机制(PoCS),实现信用值影响共识过程,经济因素激励用户节点维护信用值。仿真结果证明,所提出的适用于微电网电能交易区块链的信用共识机制及微电网电能交易的智能合约能够以经济收益激励信用高的节点,抑制微电网内的节点失信现象。 相似文献

In this paper, we propose a Magnetic Energy Recovery Switch (MERS). The switch consists of four MOSFET elements and one capacitor. A power factor improvement is automatically possible regardless of the impedance and power frequency of the load by synchronized switching of MERS with a power supply. MERS itself generates voltage and compensates for the inductance voltage unlike a conventional series capacitor, so that another DC power supply is not needed. An experiment was carried out to demonstrate the automatic correction of the power factor. Recently, Virtual Reality (VR) technology has developed quickly, together with research conducted on various elemental and related technologies and research in various fields of its application. We experimented about delay times. The haptic media is very sensitive to the network delay and its jitter and packet loss. The analytic hierarchy process(AHP) is one of the methods used to evaluate physical phenomena as correctness of the human sensation. In consequence of its application to the present experiment, it was made clear that the haptic media could be estimated from the delay times.
