GaAs FET satellite communications

Vishay signs SiC technology tranfer with DaimlerChrysler

DaimlerChrysler and Vishay Intertechnology Inc have signed an agreement to enable Vishay to undertake volume manufacture of semiconductor products using Daimler Chrysler’s silicon carbide technology. Developed at Daimler Chrysler AG since 1993, SiC enables the creation of semiconductor devices for compact power conversion systems in electric cars, railway systems, and other mobile applications. Taiwan’s United Epitaxy Company (UEC) has eight HTG 40 hydrogen purifiers installed at its new fab.
