The goals of the bulk of commercial computer systems for graphics and animated film/video are different from the kind of systems involving the production of art. The former systems are developed for industrial application. Accurate technical communication and precise representation of measures are the main goals of the drawings and die coloured plates intended for industrial application.
In the arts, however, the main goal of a drawing, a painting, or an animated film/video is beauty. The visual artist searches for an equilibrium between proportions of different shapes and an equilibrium between different colours. A system able to help in this search must therefore have its roots in art, i.e. the so-called modern art. Starting from my experience in painting, in animated film by pencil drawing, and in computer animation, I concluded that a scene could be represented very effectively and accurately by the technique of painting and drawing.
The system presented for automatic painting of scenes within a 3D space that are changing in time, is based on the tradition of drawing and painting. The system must be applicable within the visual arts and video production. An experimental computer animation system SIAS (Strokes Interpreted Animated Sequences) has been developed which produces coloured shapes that are similar to the strokes put on a canvas by a painter.  相似文献

线图匹配在计算机视觉领域有着广泛的应用。该文研究基于改进的NRLCC编码以及面之间的关系进行立体线图的匹配。首先利用图同构检测目标线图与模型线图的面的排列关系是否一致;然后获取面的NRLCC编码和ENRLCC编码,分别得到面的顶点的凹凸性信息和组成面的曲线段的凹凸性信息。最后,利用以上几组信息,进行线图的匹配。试验结果表明,该方法可以对具有曲线边缘的工业物体进行准确的识别。  相似文献

基于学习的智能图像风格绘制是当前多媒体特别是艺术风格化领域的一个热门研究课题.图像风格学习算法主要研究利用多媒体数据及机器学习方法对真实样本数据进行自动艺术绘制智能处理.目前主流方法主要针对艺术图像的静态样本进行学习.然而,由于静态数据类中包含的信息是平面化、局部化和非连续化的,难以保证风格化处理的全局一致性.本文旨在针对创意过程中的大规模复杂多媒体数据,从序列任务学习理论上提出一套智能艺术风格绘制的理论模型、设计方法以及优化方法三个层面.本文贡献主要体现在以下研究工作:(1)提出了一套面向数字美术的多媒体数据采集设备与软件系统,(2)利用IRL算法实现了艺术风格行为的模型化及其数字化保护方法,(3)提出基于PGPE的正则化策略学习方法以提高风格学习过程的稳定性.实验结果表明本文提出的方法行之有效地实现针对具体个性风格的照片水墨画艺术风格转化.基于序列化多媒体数据采集与分析,本文提出的面向移动互联网的自动艺术风格绘制辅助系统,不仅具有理论上的创新而且还具有实际上的巨大应用和价值.  相似文献

Line drawings, as a concise form, can be recognized by infants and even chimpanzees. Recently, how the visual system processes line-drawings attracts more and more attention from psychology, cognitive science and computer science. The neuroscientific studies revealed that line drawings generate similar neural actions as color photographs, which give insights on how to efficiently process big media data. In this paper, we present a comprehensive survey on line drawing studies, including cognitive mechanism of visual perception, computational models in computer vision and intelligent process in diverse media applications. Major debates, challenges and solutions that have been addressed over the years are discussed. Finally some of the ensuing challenges in line drawing studies are outlined.  相似文献

This paper describes a design method, novel to the domain of interaction design, for gathering user requirements from children called the KidReporter method. The KidReporter method was chosen and further refined based on assumptions about User-Centred Design. The method was considered to be suitable and appealing for children in terms of participating in design. Two school classes participated in making a newspaper about a zoo, to gather requirements for the design process of an interactive educational game. The educational game was developed to educate children about animals while walking through a zoo. The KidReporter method's main strengths are that it combines many techniques for eliciting information from children, such as interviews, drawing and making pictures. In this paper we describe how the KidReporter method was applied, in what manner it was successful and what we would do differently next time.  相似文献

Mathematical structures of line drawings of polyhedrons are studied and practical as well as theoretical solutions are obtained for several fundamental problems aroused in scene analysis and in man-machine communication. First, a necessary and sufficient condition for a line drawing to correctly represent a polyhedron is obtained in terms of linear algebra. Next, combinatorial structures are investigated and practical solutions are obtained to such problems as how to discriminate between correct and incorrect line drawings and how to correct vertex-position errors in incorrect line drawings. Lastly, distribution of the degree of freedom of a line drawing is elucidated and a method is proposed for interactive reconstruction of a polyhedron from a line drawing. The results obtained here enable us to make manmachine communication more ``flexible' in the sense that a machine can reconstruct three-dimensional objects from hand-drawn pictures even if the pictures are not perfect.  相似文献

Three dimensional street art illusions have become more popular in recent years. Many of them are drawn on pavement such as streets, sidewalks, and town squares. It is often known as 3D chalk art, where a 2D artwork is drawn on the street, giving the viewer a 3D optical illusion from a certain perspective. This paper supplies chalk stylized renderings for 3D models and synthesizes 3D objects into a realistic photograph. Users can input one photo for the 3D model. First, a camera position is achieved by using a camera calibration algorithm. Second, a chalk stylized rendering was applied to create an artistic image of the 3D models using the same camera position. Then, the non‐photorealistic rendering image is composited into a source photograph using a modified Poisson approach. All of the enhanced pavement texture details are also blended into the object's image. The major contribution of this paper is providing a user to create any interesting and attractive 3D illusionary art without physically drawing pictures on the pavement. Energy consumption has increased in recent decades at a rate ranging from 1.5% to 10% per year in the developed world. As a consequence, several efforts have been made to model energy consumption in order to achieve a better use of energy and to minimize environmental impact. Open problems in this area range from energy consumption forecasting to user profile mining, energy source planning, to transportation, among others. To address these problems, it is important to have suitable tools to model energy consumption data series, so that the analysts and CEOs can have knowledge about the underlying properties of the power demand in order to make high-level decisions. In this paper, we focus on the problem of energy consumption modelling, and provide a solution from the perspective of symbolic regression. More specifically, we develop hybrid genetic programming algorithms to find the algebraic expression that best models daily energy consumption in public buildings at the University of Granada as a testbed, and compare the benefits of Straight Line Programs with the classic tree representation used in symbolic regression. Regarding algorithm design, the outcomes of our experimentation suggest that Straight Line Programs outperform other representation models in the symbolic regression problems studied, and also that the hybridation with local search methods can improve the quality of the resulting algebraic expression. On the other hand, with regards to energy consumption modelling, our approach empirically demonstrates that symbolic regression can be a powerful tool to find underlying relationships between multivariate energy consumption data series.  相似文献

This paper describes the design of an assistive tool called CoCreation that can help people with aphasia to express daily experiences by utilizing digital photographs. CoCreation can upload the user’s pictures and can cluster them as a function of the time at which the pictures were taken. Pictures taken within a short period of time are assumed to highlight a single activity. The user is able to select a cluster and can edit the pictures by dragging icons or drawing on top of them, or by typing words to create a caption. The pictures set the context for a story, while the additional tools such as keyboard and drawing pad allow the user to add information that is considered useful for sharing the experience. The paper presents the detailed design process and the preliminary evaluation of CoCreation with an experienced speech therapist.  相似文献

直线绘制是光栅图形学中一个最为基本的任务,加速传统直线绘制算法有着重要的实际意义.提出了一种新的直线绘制算法.与传统的直线绘制算法不同的是,该算法将直线直接表达成一串由0或1组成的位移码,并给出一个直线位移码的快速计算公式;在此基础上,通过对直线位移码周期性的分析,提出了一种新的自适应多步绘制算法.实验和理论分析表明,该算法能够大大减少生成直线的计算量,提高直线的绘制速度.  相似文献

提出了一种新的基于线性卷积积分(Line Integral Convolution)自动铅笔画生成方法。已有的基于LIC的铅笔画方法通过图像的分割和纹理方向的检测技术来获得图像的合理区域划分和各个区域笔画的方向。铅笔画的结果很大程度上依赖于纹理的方向和区域的白噪声。如果分析得到的纹理方向和白噪声和输入的图像不相一致,生成铅笔画的效果就很差。本文提出的方法改进了已有的铅笔画生成方法,首先利用基于图的图像分割方法实现快速有效的区域分割,其次提出一种新的基于区域的白噪声和纹理方向生成方法。实验表明提出的方法更接近于真实的铅笔画效果。  相似文献
