Abstract

Neodymium vanadate with concentration of gadolinium as 3% and 5% having general formulae GdxNd1-xVO4 where x?=?0.03 and 0.05 was prepared by chemical route technique. The effect of concentration of gadolinium on the structural, optical and spectroscopic properties was explained by various characterization techniques. Powder X-ray diffraction study suggests tetragonal zircon structure; various parameters such as crystallite size, volume and X-ray density were calculated. A change in morphology with the change in concentration of gadolinium was observed through scanning electron microscopy. Ultraviolet absorption spectroscopy shows various transitions from ground state to various excited state within 4f shell, and variation in the optical band gap calculated by Tauc plot is due to the incorporation of Gd3+ ions.  相似文献

To evaluate the effect of a new oral manganese contrast agent (CMC-001) on magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) intensities at different magnetic field strengths. Twelve healthy volunteers underwent abdominal MRI 1 week before and within 2.5–4.5 h after CMC-001 (MnCl2 and absorption promoters dissolved in water) intake at three different MR scanners of 0.23, 0.6 and 1.5 T. Image contrast and intensity enhancement of liver and pancreas were analysed relatively to muscle and fat intensities. Manganese blood levels were followed for 24 h. Whole-blood manganese concentration levels stayed within the normal range. The liver intensities on T2w images decreased about 10% for the 1/2 contrast dose and about 20% for the full contrast dose independent of the field strength. The liver intensities on T1w images increased more than 30% for 1/2 contrast dose and over 40% for full contrast dose. The maximum T1 enhancement was achieved at the highest field. Pancreas intensities were not affected. Contrast between liver, muscle and fat intensities increased with magnetic field, as well as standard errors of the volunteer-averaged intensities. Oral intake of CMC-001 influences liver intensities and does not affect pancreas intensities at different magnetic field strengths.  相似文献

(Zr0.8,Sn0.2)TiO4 (ZST) ceramics were prepared by solid-state reaction method with 1 wt% ZnO and 0.5–1.5 wt% CeO2 or Nd2O3 as sintering aids. The effect of processing parameters and additive concentration on the structure, microstructure and microwave dielectric properties of ZST ceramics were investigated. The dielectric constant (?r) and temperature coefficient of the resonance frequency (τf) were not significantly affected by the addition of these additives. The unloaded quality factors (Qu) were effectively promoted by CeO2 and Nd2O3 additions. ?r values of 40 and 38.3, Qxfo values of 57,500 and 59,300 were obtained for the samples sintered with 1.5 and 0.5 wt% of CeO2 and Nd2O3 respectively. The improvement in Qxfo value is primarily attributed to the increase in uniform grain size and density.  相似文献

The effect of the electrode material on the high voltage stoichiometry-polarization (electrocoloration) of Fe-doped SrTiO3 single crystals has been studied. For different electrode materials (150-nm Ag/15-nm Cr and 150-nm Au/15-nm Cr) secondary ion mass spectrometry (SIMS) was used to measure the depth profile of the 18O-isotope after high-field stress. The results were compared with spatially resolved impedance measurements on electrocolored Fe-doped SrTiO3 single crystals. For Au/Cr as well as Ag/Cr electrodes a large dc voltage leads to moving color fronts which are usually correlated with a pronounced stoichiometry polarization of the samples due to electrodes blocking the ionic current. However, the local impedance measurements demonstrate that the conductivity profiles near the cathode depend on the electrode material. This finding is in accordance with the SIMS measurements which indicate that the Ag/Cr-electrodes are, in contrast to Au/Cr-electrodes not completely inactive for the oxygen incorporation into the Fe-doped SrTiO3. The results are discussed in terms of defect chemical models.  相似文献
